Abstract
Description
Electric pump device for construction machinery, and construction machinery equipped with the same
[0001] The present disclosure relates to an electric pump device for a construction machine that is mounted on a construction machine, and a construction machine that includes the same.
[0002] BACKGROUND ART Construction machines such as excavators are increasingly being electrified, and the drive source of hydraulic pumps is being replaced from an internal combustion engine with an electric motor. One example of such construction machines is an electric excavator disclosed in Patent Document 1.
[0003] Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2022-163964
[0004] Electric motors used as the drive source for hydraulic pumps in electric shovels are quieter than internal combustion engines, but the noise emitted by the hydraulic pumps can become noticeable, creating a need for noise reduction measures for hydraulic pumps.
[0005] Therefore, an object of the present disclosure is to provide an electric pump device for construction machinery that can take measures to reduce noise from a hydraulic pump, and a construction machine equipped with the same.
[0006] The electric pump device for construction machinery disclosed herein is mounted on construction machinery and comprises an electric pump unit having a hydraulic pump that discharges hydraulic fluid when a drive shaft rotates and an electric motor that drives the drive shaft to rotate, a support frame that supports the electric pump unit, and a pump sound-absorbing member that is provided on the support frame, wherein the support frame supports the electric pump unit so as to house the hydraulic pump within the support frame, and the pump sound-absorbing member is provided on the support frame so as to cover the hydraulic pump.
[0007] According to the present disclosure, the support frame supports the electric pump unit so as to house the hydraulic pump within the support frame, and the pump sound-absorbing member is provided on the support frame so as to cover the hydraulic pump. Therefore, the pump sound-absorbing member is disposed near the hydraulic pump. This allows the sound emitted from the hydraulic pump to be absorbed and attenuated by the pump sound-absorbing member located near the hydraulic pump. This prevents the sound emitted from the hydraulic pump from reverberating and becoming louder inside the construction machine. In other words, measures can be taken to reduce the noise of the hydraulic pump.
[0008] The construction machine of the present disclosure is equipped with a hydraulic actuator, and includes the above-mentioned electric pump device for construction machines, and a control valve that supplies hydraulic fluid discharged from the hydraulic pump of the electric pump device for construction machines to the hydraulic actuator.
[0009] According to the above configuration, the construction machine includes the electric pump device for construction machine described above, and therefore, it is possible to realize a construction machine that provides the above-mentioned operational effects.
[0010] According to the present disclosure, measures can be taken to reduce noise from hydraulic pumps.
[0011] The above and other objects, features, and advantages of the present disclosure will become apparent from the following detailed description of preferred embodiments, which proceeds with reference to the accompanying drawings.

Therefore, the present disclosure is not limited to the embodiments, and additions, deletions, and modifications are possible within the scope of the present disclosure.
[0014] <First Embodiment> [Construction Machine] A construction machine 2 according to the first embodiment shown in FIG. 1 performs various tasks by moving a bucket 15 and an attachment such as a crane (not shown). In this embodiment, the construction machine 2 is an electric shovel (hereinafter simply referred to as "shovel") 2. However, the construction machine 2 is not limited to a shovel, and may be a crane, a wheel loader, or an industrial vehicle such as a forklift. In other words, the construction machine 2 may be any machine that performs various tasks by moving an attachment. The shovel 2 includes a traveling device 11, a revolving body 12, a boom 13, an arm 14, and a bucket 15. The traveling device 11 includes, for example, a pair of crawlers 11L, 11R. Each of the crawlers 11L, 11R can be driven to move in various directions. The revolving body 12 is mounted on the traveling device 11 so as to be rotatable about a rotation axis L1 extending in the vertical direction. The boom 13 is mounted on the revolving body 12 so as to be swingable in the vertical direction. The arm 14 is provided at the tip of the boom 13 so as to be swingable in the front-to-rear direction. Furthermore, the bucket 15 is provided at the tip of the arm 14 so as to be swingable in the front-to-rear direction or the up-to-down direction. The front-to-rear direction is, for example, the direction in which the boom 13 extends.
[0015] The traveling unit 11, the revolving unit 12, the boom 13, the arm 14, and the bucket 15 are each provided with a hydraulic actuator, such as a hydraulic motor and a cylinder. That is, each of the crawlers 11L, 11R of the traveling unit 11 is provided with a traveling hydraulic motor (not shown). The traveling motor drives the crawlers 11L, 11R by supplying hydraulic fluid. This allows the traveling unit 11 to move in various directions. The hydraulic fluid is, for example, a liquid such as oil. The revolving unit 12 is provided with a swing hydraulic motor (not shown). The swing hydraulic motor swings the revolving unit 12 by supplying hydraulic fluid. The boom 13 is provided with a boom cylinder 13a. The arm 14 and the bucket 15 are each provided with an arm cylinder and a bucket cylinder (not shown). The boom cylinder 13a, the arm cylinder, and the bucket cylinder are supplied with hydraulic fluid, which causes the boom 13, the arm 14, and the bucket 15 to swing, respectively.
[0016] [Hydraulic Drive System] The excavator 2 is also equipped with a hydraulic drive system 3 as shown in FIG. 2. More specifically, the hydraulic drive system 3 is disposed inside the revolving body 12. The hydraulic drive system 3 supplies hydraulic fluid to each of the hydraulic actuators described above. Furthermore, the hydraulic drive system 3 controls the flow (flow rate and flow direction) of the hydraulic fluid supplied to each hydraulic actuator. The hydraulic drive system 3 configured in this manner includes an electric pump device 1, a multi-control valve 4, and a battery 5 as shown in FIG. 2. The hydraulic drive system 3 also includes a hydraulic fluid cooler 6.
[0017] [Electric Pump Device] The electric pump device 1 shown in Figure 3, which is an example of an electric pump device for a construction machine, is an electric hydraulic pump device mounted on a shovel 2. That is, the electric pump device 1 is driven electrically and discharges hydraulic fluid when driven. As shown in Figure 4, the electric pump device 1 includes an electric pump unit 17, a support frame 18, and sound absorbing members 19S, 19R, and 19F. The electric pump device 1 also includes a tank 20. The electric pump device 1 is arranged, for example, as follows within the revolving body 12:
[0018] That is, the revolving unit 12 has a cabin 12b in which a driver (or operator) can ride. A boom 13 is provided on the revolving unit 12 in a left-right central portion on the front side of the revolving unit 12, and the cabin 12b is disposed on one side in the left-right direction (e.g., the left side) on the front side of the revolving unit 12 so as to be adjacent to the boom 13. The electric pump device 1 is disposed on the opposite side of the cabin 12b within the revolving unit 12, with the boom 13 in between. That is, the electric pump device 1 is disposed on the other side in the left-right direction (e.g., the right side) on the front side of the revolving unit 12 so as to be adjacent to the boom 13. Each component of the electric pump device 1 will be described in detail below.
[0019] [Tank] The tank 20 stores hydraulic fluid therein. The hydraulic fluid in the tank 20 is discharged from the electric pump unit 17, which will be described in detail later. The hydraulic fluid is then supplied to each of the hydraulic actuators via the multi-control valve 4. The hydraulic fluid is also returned from each of the hydraulic actuators to the tank 20 via the multi-control valve 4 and the hydraulic fluid cooler 6. The tank 20 configured in this manner is disposed inside the revolving unit 12, on the opposite side of the boom 13 from the cabin 12b.
[0020] [Electric Pump Unit] As described above, the electric pump unit 17 is an electrically driven hydraulic pump unit that is driven by a current supply to discharge hydraulic fluid. More specifically, the electric pump unit 17 is electrically connected to the battery 5. The electric pump unit 17 includes a hydraulic pump 21 and an electric motor 22. The electric pump unit 17 is supported by a support frame 18 (described in detail later) so that the hydraulic pump 21 and the electric motor 22 are aligned in the vertical direction, which is an example of a first direction. The electric pump unit 17 is disposed within the revolving structure 12 as follows. That is, the electric pump unit 17 is located on the opposite side of the cabin 12b across the boom 13 within the revolving structure 12. Furthermore, the electric pump unit 17 is located rearward of the tank 20. That is, the tank 20 is located on the right side of the revolving structure 12 in a plan view and adjacent to the front of the electric pump unit 17. The electric pump device 1 is connected to a tank 20 via a suction pipe 7a, and to a multi-control valve 4 via a discharge pipe 7b.
[0021] The electric pump unit 17 configured in this manner is driven by current supplied from the battery 5, which will be described in detail later. When driven, the electric pump unit 17 draws in hydraulic fluid from the tank 20 via the suction pipe 7a. When driven, the electric pump unit 17 discharges hydraulic fluid to the multi-control valve 4 via the discharge pipe 7b. The electric pump unit 17 configured in this manner further includes an inverter 23 and a connecting member 24 in addition to the hydraulic pump 21 and electric motor 22 described above.
[0022] [Hydraulic Pump] As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5 , the hydraulic pump 21 has a drive shaft 21a. The hydraulic pump 21 discharges hydraulic fluid when the drive shaft 21a is driven to rotate. The hydraulic pump 21 is, for example, a tandem pump having two variable displacement pump sections (variable displacement swash plate pumps in this embodiment) 21c, 21d (see also FIG. 5 ). The variable displacement pump sections (hereinafter simply referred to as "pump sections") 21c, 21d share the drive shaft 21a. The pump sections 21c, 21d are arranged side by side in the vertical direction along which the drive shaft 21a extends. A housing 21e is interposed between the pump sections 21c, 21d. Therefore, in this embodiment, the hydraulic pump 21 is formed to be elongated in the first direction.
[0023] The hydraulic pump 21 also has a suction port 21f and discharge ports 21g, 21h formed on its side. More specifically, the housing 21e also has a suction port 21f and two discharge ports 21g, 21h formed on its side. The suction port 21f and the discharge ports 21g, 21h open to the right and rear, respectively, on the side of the housing 21e. In this embodiment, the discharge ports 21g, 21h open in the same direction. The discharge ports 21g, 21h and the suction port 21f open in directions perpendicular to each other. The pump sections 21c, 21d share the suction port 21f and each have their own discharge ports 21g, 21h. Therefore, the hydraulic pump 21 draws hydraulic fluid through the suction port 21f and discharges hydraulic fluid from the two ports 21g, 21h. The pump sections 21c, 21d are each provided with a regulator 21i, 21j. The regulators 21i and 21j change the discharge capacities of the pump sections 21c and 21d, respectively.
[0024] [Electric Motor] The electric motor 22 is coupled to the drive shaft 21a. The electric motor 22 drives the drive shaft 21a to rotate. More specifically, when a current is applied to the electric motor 22, the electric motor 22 drives the drive shaft 21a to rotate. This causes the electric motor 22 to discharge hydraulic fluid from the hydraulic pump 21. The electric motor 22 is, for example, a three-phase AC motor. However, the electric motor 22 is not limited to a three-phase AC motor and may be a DC motor. More specifically, the electric motor 22 is formed in a cylindrical shape and is arranged coaxially with the drive shaft 21a. That is, the electric motor 22 is aligned coaxially with the hydraulic pump 21. That is, the electric motor 22 is aligned vertically with the hydraulic pump 21. However, the electric motor 22 does not necessarily have to be aligned in a straight line with the hydraulic pump 21, and may be arranged parallel to each other but with their axes offset, or the axis of the electric motor 22 may be arranged so that it intersects the drive shaft 21a diagonally or at a right angle.
[0025] [Inverter] The inverter 23 converts the frequency of the current supplied to the electric motor 22. In this embodiment, the inverter 23 converts direct current into alternating current. The inverter 23 is electrically connected to the electric motor 22 and the battery 5, which will be described later. The inverter 23 converts the direct current supplied from the battery 5 into alternating current and supplies the alternating current to the electric motor 22. This causes the electric motor 22 to rotate the drive shaft 21a. The inverter 23 is provided, for example, in the electric motor 22. In this embodiment, the inverter 23 is configured integrally with the electric motor 22 so as to be located opposite (i.e., above) the hydraulic pump 21 in the vertical direction.
[0026] [Coupling Member] The coupling member 24 couples the hydraulic pump 21 and the electric motor 22. The coupling member 24 is, for example, a bell housing. The coupling member 24 has a tubular portion 24a and a flange 24b. The tubular portion 24a couples the hydraulic pump 21 and the electric motor 22. More specifically, the tubular portion 24a is formed, for example, in a cylindrical shape. In this embodiment, the tubular portion 24a has an axis extending in the vertical direction and is tapered so that its diameter increases upward. The hydraulic pump 21 is attached to one vertical end of the tubular portion 24a, and the electric motor 22 is attached to the other vertical end. As a result, the hydraulic pump 21 and the electric motor 22 are coupled to each other by the coupling member 24. Within the tubular portion 24a, the drive shaft 21a extends along the axis of the tubular portion 24a (i.e., upward) and is coupled to the electric motor 22. The flange 24b is formed around the entire circumferential circumference of the other end of the cylindrical portion 24a and protrudes radially outward from the other end of the cylindrical portion 24a.
[0027] [Support Frame] The support frame 18 supports the electric pump unit 17. More specifically, the support frame 18 supports the electric pump unit 17 so as to house the hydraulic pump 21 therein. The support frame 18 configured in this manner is located behind the tank 20 as shown in FIG. 2 . This allows the electric pump unit 17 to be disposed behind the tank 20. The support frame 18 is also vertically installed on the excavator 2 (more specifically, inside the rotating body 12) as shown in FIG. 6 . The support frame 18 supports the hydraulic pump 21 and the electric motor 22 so that the drive shaft 21 a extends vertically when installed upright. That is, the support frame 18 supports the hydraulic pump 21 and the electric motor 22 so that they are vertically installed (i.e., aligned vertically). In this embodiment, the support frame 18 is a substantially rectangular parallelepiped frame body as shown in FIGS. 3 to 5 , with each side surface and the ceiling surface being open. The support frame 18 supports the electric pump unit 17 so that the hydraulic pump 21 is located below the electric motor 22. As a result, the support frame 18 supports the electric pump unit 17 so that the hydraulic pump 21 is housed therein. In more detail, the support frame 18 further includes a support portion 31, an attachment portion 32, a vibration-isolating member 33, and a suspender 34.
[0028] The support portion 31 is a member extending in the vertical direction. The support portion 31 is formed, for example, in the shape of a roughly rectangular parallelepiped frame. The support portion 31 is erected within the revolving body 12 via vibration-isolating members 33, which will be described in detail later. More specifically, the support portion 31 has the above-mentioned installation plate 31a, four leg portions 31b, and a top surface portion 31c.
[0029] The installation plate 31a is placed on the rotating body 12. More specifically, the installation plate 31a is placed on the rotating body 12 via a plurality of vibration-damping members 33, which will be described later in detail. In this embodiment, the installation plate 31a is a rectangular plate in a plan view. The leg portions 31b are rod-shaped members extending in the vertical direction. The leg portions 31b are, for example, L-shaped steel beams. However, the leg portions 31b may be hollow rectangular columns or hollow cylindrical columns, solid rectangular columns or cylindrical columns, or channel steel beams. The leg portions 31b are provided, for example, at the four corners of the installation plate 31a and extend upward from the installation plate 31a. The top surface portion 31c is placed on and fixed to the four leg portions 31b. In this embodiment, the top surface portion 31c is, for example, a rectangular frame, and the leg portions 31b are fixed to the four corners. A connecting member 24 is inserted through the inner opening of the top surface portion 31c.
[0030] The electric pump unit 17 is attached to the mounting portion 32. More specifically, the electric pump unit 17 is attached to the mounting portion 32 via the connecting member 24. The mounting portion 32 is placed on and fixed to the support portion 31. More specifically, the mounting portion 32 is formed in a generally rectangular plate shape. The mounting portion 32 has a through hole 32a. The through hole 32a passes through the mounting portion 32 in the up-down direction. The tubular portion 24a of the connecting member 24 is inserted into the through hole 32a. On the other hand, the through hole 32a is formed with a smaller diameter than the flange 24b, and the flange 24b is placed on the periphery of the through hole 32a. That is, the flange 24b is placed on the upper surface of the mounting portion 32. The flange 24b is fixed to the mounting portion 32 in the placed state. In this embodiment, the flange 24b is fastened to the mounting portion 32. As a result, the electric pump unit 17 is attached to the attachment portion 32 so that the electric motor 22 is located above it and the hydraulic pump 21 is located below it.
[0031] The mounting portion 32 is attached to the support portion 31 as follows. That is, the mounting portion 32 is attached to the support portion 31 so that the hydraulic pump 21 fits within the support portion 31. More specifically, the mounting portion 32 is placed on the top surface portion 31c of the support portion 31 so that the hydraulic pump 21 is located below the mounting portion 32. As a result, the hydraulic pump 21 fits within the support portion 31, and the electric motor 22 is disposed above the support portion 31. The mounting portion 32 is attached to the support portion 31 so that the hydraulic pump 21 is located above the installation plate 31a. As a result, the hydraulic pump 21 can be raised above the installation plate 31a.
[0032] Furthermore, a sound-absorbing material 35 is attached to the mounting portion 32. The sound-absorbing material 35 absorbs and attenuates sound. The sound-absorbing material 35 is a sponge-like plate-like member made of, for example, urethane or polyester. The sound-absorbing material 19Sb may also be a plate-like member made of, for example, glass wool or felt. The sound-absorbing material 35 is attached to a surface on one side of the mounting portion 32 in the thickness direction (the surface facing the inside of the support frame 18 in this embodiment). This allows the sound-absorbing material 35 to face toward the hydraulic pump 21 and absorb sound emitted upward from the hydraulic pump 21. More specifically, the sound-absorbing material 35 is formed in approximately the same shape as the inner opening of the top surface portion 31c and fits into the inner opening when the mounting portion 32 is attached to the top surface portion 31c. The sound-absorbing material 35 also has a through-hole 35a corresponding to the through-hole 32a, through which the connecting member 24 is inserted.
[0033] The vibration-isolating members 33 suppress the transmission of vibrations from the support frame 18 to the shovel 2. More specifically, the vibration-isolating members 33 are, for example, vibration-isolating rubber, and are provided on the bottom surface of the support portion 31 (in this embodiment, the bottom surface of the installation plate 31a). In this embodiment, a plurality of vibration-isolating members 33 are provided on the bottom surface of the support portion 31, and the support portion 31 is provided on the shovel 2 (more specifically, the revolving body 12) via the plurality of vibration-isolating members 33. Therefore, the vibration-isolating members 33 can suppress the transmission of vibrations from the support frame 18 to the revolving body 12. Note that the vibration-isolating members 33 are not limited to vibration-isolating rubber, and may be vibration-isolating mechanisms such as dampers and hydraulic mounts.
[0034] The hoisting fixture 34 is used to hoist the support frame 18. More specifically, the hoisting fixture 34 is used to hoist the electric pump device 1 itself. The hoisting fixture 34 can be attached to a hoisting device (not shown), such as a crane. More specifically, a hoisting fixture, such as a hook of the hoisting device, can be attached to the hoisting fixture 34. The electric pump device 1 is then hoisted by pulling up the hoisting fixture. In this embodiment, four hoisting fixtures 34 are provided on the mounting portion 32, and each of the hoisting fixtures 34 is provided at one of the four corners of the mounting portion 32. The arrangement of the hoisting fixtures 34 is not limited to the arrangement described above. The hoisting fixtures 34 may be arranged in any manner that allows the electric pump device 1 to be transported upright when lifted by the hoisting fixture.
[0035] [Sound-Absorbing Members] A plurality of sound-absorbing members 19S, 19R, and 19F, which are examples of pump sound-absorbing members, are provided on the support frame 18 so as to cover the hydraulic pump 21. More specifically, the sound-absorbing members 19S, 19R, and 19F are provided on the support frame 18 so as to cover openings on each side of the support frame 18, thereby covering the hydraulic pump 21 from all four sides (front, back, left, and right in this embodiment). That is, in this embodiment, four sound-absorbing members 19S, 19R, and 19F are provided on the support frame 18. More specifically, the sound-absorbing members 19S, 19R, and 19F are provided on the front, back, left, and right side of the support frame 18, respectively, and the sound-absorbing members 19S, 19R, and 19F cover the openings on each side. That is, the sound-absorbing member 19S is provided on both side surfaces of the support frame 18. Furthermore, sound absorbing member 19R is provided on the rear surface of support frame 18, and sound absorbing member 19F is provided on the front surface of support frame 18. Sound absorbing members 19S, 19R, and 19F absorb and attenuate sounds generated within support frame 18 (mainly sounds generated by hydraulic pump 21 in this embodiment). In this embodiment, sound absorbing members 19S, 19R, and 19F are each configured as follows.
[0036] As shown in FIG. 4 , the first sound-absorbing members 19S are attached to both the left and right sides of the support frame 18. More specifically, the first sound-absorbing members 19S are provided so as to span the two leg portions 31b on each side of the support frame 18. The first sound-absorbing members 19S are detachably fastened to the two leg portions 31b on both sides of the support frame 18 with fastening members such as bolts. In this embodiment, the first sound-absorbing members 19S are formed in substantially the same shape as the two side surfaces of the support frame 18 and close the openings on both sides of the support frame 18. More specifically, the first sound-absorbing members 19S include mounting plates 19Sa and sound-absorbing materials 19Sb.
[0037] The mounting plate 19Sa is detachably attached to the support frame 18. More specifically, the mounting plate 19Sa is attached to each of both side surfaces of the support frame 18. In this case, the mounting plate 19Sa is attached with a first surface 19Sc, which is one surface in the thickness direction, facing inward of the support frame 18, i.e., toward the hydraulic pump 21. In this embodiment, the mounting plate 19Sa is formed in substantially the same shape as both side surfaces of the support frame 18. The mounting plate 19Sa is provided so as to span two leg portions 31b on each of both side surfaces of the support frame 18. In this case, the mounting plate 19Sa is detachably fastened to the two leg portions 31b on each side surface of the support frame 18, for example, with fasteners such as bolts. As a result, the mounting plate 19Sa covers each opening on both side surfaces of the support frame 18.
[0038] The sound-absorbing material 19Sb absorbs and attenuates propagating sound. In this embodiment, the sound-absorbing material 19Sb is a sponge-like plate-like member made of urethane, polyester, or the like. The sound-absorbing material 19Sb may also be a plate-like member made of glass wool, felt, or the like. The sound-absorbing material 19Sb is formed in approximately the same shape as each of the openings on both side surfaces of the support frame 18 and is attached to each of the first surfaces 19Sc. The sound-absorbing material 19Sb fits into each opening when the mounting plates 19Sa are attached to both side surfaces of the support frame 18. This allows the sound-absorbing material 19Sb to absorb and attenuate sound emitted to the left and rear from the hydraulic pump 21.
[0039] The second sound-absorbing member 19R is attached to the rear surface of the support frame 18 as shown in FIG. 7. More specifically, the second sound-absorbing member 19R is provided so as to span the two leg portions 31b on the rear surface of the support frame 18. In this case, the second sound-absorbing member 19R is detachably fastened to the two leg portions 31b on the rear surface of the support frame 18 with fastening members such as bolts. In this embodiment, the second sound-absorbing member 19R is formed in substantially the same shape as the rear surface of the support frame 18 and covers the opening on the rear surface of the support frame 18. More specifically, the second sound-absorbing member 19R includes a mounting plate 19Ra and a sound-absorbing material 19Rb as shown in FIG. 5.
[0040] The mounting plate 19Ra is detachably attached to the support frame 18. More specifically, the mounting plate 19Ra is attached to the back surface of the support frame 18. In this case, the mounting plate 19Ra is attached with a first surface 19Rc, which is one surface in the thickness direction, facing inward of the support frame 18, i.e., toward the hydraulic pump 21. In this embodiment, the mounting plate 19Ra is formed in substantially the same shape as the back surface of the support frame 18 (see also FIG. 7 ). The mounting plate 19Ra is provided on the back surface of the support frame 18 so as to span the two leg portions 31b. In this case, the mounting plate 19Ra is detachably fastened to the two leg portions 31b on the back surface of the support frame 18, for example, with fasteners such as bolts. As a result, the mounting plate 19Ra closes the opening on the back surface of the support frame 18.
[0041] The sound-absorbing material 19Rb absorbs and attenuates propagating sound. In this embodiment, the sound-absorbing material 19Rb is a sponge-like plate-like member made of urethane, polyester, or the like. The sound-absorbing material 19Rb may also be a plate-like member made of glass wool, felt, or the like. The sound-absorbing material 19Rb is formed in approximately the same shape as the opening on the rear surface of the support frame 18 and is attached to the first surface 19Rc. The sound-absorbing material 19Rb fits into the opening when the mounting plate 19Ra is attached to the rear surface of the support frame 18. This allows the sound-absorbing material 19Rb to absorb and attenuate sound emitted rearward from the hydraulic pump 21.
[0042] The second sound-absorbing member 19R also has a piping hole 19Rf formed in the middle in the vertical direction. The piping hole 19Rf penetrates the mounting plate 19Ra and the sound-absorbing material 19Rb in the thickness direction, and two discharge pipes 7b are inserted through the piping hole 19Rf. In this embodiment, the piping hole 19Rf extends in the vertical direction, and the two discharge pipes 7b are inserted through the piping hole 19Rf, arranged parallel to each other and spaced apart in the vertical direction. This allows the discharge pipes 7b to protrude from the second sound-absorbing member 19R to the outside of the support frame 18.
[0043] More specifically, the second sound-absorbing member 19R is divided into two upper and lower portions, a first portion 19Rd and a second portion 19Re, at a vertically intermediate portion. Specifically, the second sound-absorbing member 19R is constructed by butting the first portion 19Rd and the second portion 19Re together and attaching them to the rear surface of the support frame 18. The first portion 19Rd and the second portion 19Re are formed with piping slots 19Rg and 19Rh at their butted ends. The piping slots 19Rg and 19Rh extend vertically and, when the first portion 19Rd and the second portion 19Re are butted together, they butt together to form the piping hole 19Rf. The discharge piping 7b is inserted into each of the piping slots 19Rg and 19Rh. Therefore, by removing each of the first portion 19Rd and the second portion 19Re from the support frame 18, the discharge pipe 7b can be removed from the second sound absorbing member 19R.
[0044] The third sound-absorbing member 19F is attached to the front surface of the support frame 18 as shown in FIG. 8 . More specifically, the third sound-absorbing member 19F is provided so as to span the two leg portions 31b on the front surface of the support frame 18. In this case, the third sound-absorbing member 19F is detachably fastened to the two leg portions 31b on the front surface of the support frame 18 with fastening members such as bolts. In this embodiment, the third sound-absorbing member 19F is formed in substantially the same shape as the front surface of the support frame 18 and covers the opening on the front surface of the support frame 18. More specifically, the third sound-absorbing member 19F includes a mounting plate 19Fa and a sound-absorbing material 19Fb as shown in FIG. 5 .
[0045] The mounting plate 19Fa is detachably attached to the support frame 18. More specifically, the mounting plate 19Fa is attached to the front surface of the support frame 18. In this case, the mounting plate 19Fa is attached with a first surface 19Fc, which is the surface on one side in the thickness direction, facing inward of the support frame 18, i.e., toward the hydraulic pump 21. In this embodiment, the mounting plate 19Fa is formed in substantially the same shape as the front surface of the support frame 18. The mounting plate 19Fa is provided on the front surface of the support frame 18 so as to span two leg portions 31b. In this case, the mounting plate 19Fa is detachably fastened to the two leg portions 31b on the front surface of the support frame 18, for example, with fasteners such as bolts. As a result, the mounting plate 19Fa closes the opening on the front surface of the support frame 18.
[0046] The sound-absorbing material 19Fb absorbs and attenuates propagating sound. In this embodiment, the sound-absorbing material 19Fb is a spongy plate-like member made of urethane, polyester, or the like. The sound-absorbing material 19Fb may also be a plate-like member made of glass wool, felt, or the like. The sound-absorbing material 19Fb is formed in substantially the same shape as the opening on the front surface of the support frame 18 and is attached to the first surface 19Fc. The sound-absorbing material 19Fb fits into the opening when the mounting plate 19Fa is attached to the front surface of the support frame 18. This allows the sound-absorbing material 19Fb to absorb and attenuate sound emitted forward from the hydraulic pump 21.
[0047] The third sound-absorbing member 19F also has a piping hole 19Ff formed in its lower portion. The piping hole 19Ff penetrates the mounting plate 19Fa and the sound-absorbing material 19Fb in the thickness direction, and the suction piping 7a is inserted through the piping hole 19Ff. In this embodiment, the piping hole 19Ff has a diameter substantially the same as the outer shape of the suction piping 7a. This allows the suction piping 7a to protrude from the third sound-absorbing member 19F to the outside of the support frame 18.
[0048] More specifically, the third sound-absorbing member 19F is divided into two upper and lower portions, a first portion 19Fd and a second portion 19Fe, at the piping hole 19Ff (i.e., below). That is, the second sound-absorbing member 19R is formed by butting the first portion 19Fd and the second portion 19Fe together from above and below and attaching them to the front surface of the support frame 18. The first portion 19Fd and the second portion 19Fe also have piping grooves 19Fg and 19Fh formed at their butted ends. In this embodiment, the piping grooves 19Fg and 19Fh are both semicircular and form the piping hole 19Ff when the first portion 19Fd and the second portion 19Fe are butted together. The suction pipes 7a are inserted into the piping grooves 19Fg and 19Fh, respectively. Therefore, by removing each of the first portion 19Fd and the second portion 19Fe from the support frame 18, the discharge pipe 7a can be removed from the third sound-absorbing member 19F.
[0049] 2 supplies hydraulic fluid discharged from the electric pump unit 1 to each of the hydraulic actuators and controls the flow of the supplied hydraulic fluid. Explaining in more detail, as described above, the multi-control valve 4 is connected to the hydraulic pump 21 (more specifically, to the discharge ports 21g and 21h) of the electric pump unit 1 via the discharge pipe 7b. The multi-control valve 4 configured in this manner is located behind the boom 13 within the revolving unit 12. In this embodiment, the multi-control valve 4 is located adjacent to the electric pump unit 1 within the revolving unit 12.
[0050] [Battery] The battery 5 is electrically connected to the electric pump device 1 (more specifically, the inverter 23). The battery 5 supplies direct current to the inverter 23. The battery 5 is disposed inside the revolving unit 12. More specifically, the battery 5 is disposed rearward of the electric pump device 1 inside the revolving unit 12. In this embodiment, a counterweight 16 is disposed at the rearmost position inside the revolving unit 12. The battery 5 is disposed between the counterweight 16 and the electric pump device 1.
[0051] [Hydraulic Fluid Cooler] The hydraulic fluid cooler 6 cools the hydraulic fluid that is returned to the tank 20. In this embodiment, the hydraulic fluid cooler 6 cools the hydraulic fluid that is returned from the hydraulic actuator to the tank 20 via the multi-control valve 4. More specifically, the hydraulic fluid cooler 6 is connected to the tank 20 via a pipe 20a. The hydraulic fluid cooler 6 cools the hydraulic fluid that is returned from the multi-control valve 4 and returns it to the tank 20 via the pipe 20a. The hydraulic fluid cooler 6 is disposed behind the electric pump device 1 in the excavator 2.
[0052] [Arrangement of Electric Pump Device] The electric pump device 1 is arranged within the revolving body 12 of the excavator 2 as follows. That is, the electric pump device 1 is installed upright within the revolving body 12 as shown in FIG. 6 . The tank 20 is arranged in one second direction, i.e., forward, of the electric pump device 1. The second direction is a direction perpendicular to the first direction, which corresponds to the front-to-rear direction in this embodiment. The electric pump device 1 is arranged so that the suction port 21f of the hydraulic pump 21 faces in one third direction, i.e., rightward. The suction port 21f is connected to the suction port 21f. The suction pipe 7a passes through the piping hole 19Ff (i.e., the piping notched grooves 19Fg and 19Fh) of the third sound-absorbing member 19F, extends outside the support frame 18, and is further connected to the tank 20. The electric pump device 1 is arranged so that the discharge ports 21g and 21h of the hydraulic pump 21 face rearward. The discharge ports 21g and 21h are connected to the discharge pipe 7b. The discharge pipe 7b passes through the pipe hole 19Rf (i.e., the pipe cutout grooves 19Rg and 19Rh) of the second sound absorbing member 19R, extends to the outside of the support frame 18, and is connected to the multi-control valve 4.
[0053] [Method of Installing the Electric Pump Device] The electric pump device 1 is installed inside the revolving body 12 of the excavator 2 as follows. That is, a hoisting fixture of a hoisting device (not shown) is attached to the hoisting fixture 34 of the electric pump device 1. After attachment, the electric pump device 1 is lifted by the hoisting device and transported onto the revolving body 12. Thereafter, the installation plate 31a of the electric pump device 1 is lowered onto the floor surface of the revolving body 12. As a result, the electric pump device 1 is installed upright on the floor surface of the revolving body 12. Therefore, the electric pump device 1 can be easily installed on the floor surface inside the revolving body 12.
[0054] [Operation of Hydraulic Drive System] As shown in FIG. 2 , DC current flows from the battery 5 to the electric pump device 1. This causes the electric pump device 1 to operate as follows. Specifically, the inverter 23 converts the DC current to AC current and passes it to the electric motor 22. This causes the electric motor 22 to rotate and drive the drive shaft 21a. As a result, the hydraulic pump 21 draws hydraulic fluid from the tank 20 through the suction port 21f via the suction pipe 7a and discharges it from the discharge ports 21g and 21h. The hydraulic fluid is guided from the discharge ports 21g and 21h through the discharge pipe 7b to the multi-control valve 4, and is further supplied to each of the hydraulic actuators via the multi-control valve 4. This allows each of the hydraulic actuators to be operated.
[0055] In the electric pump device 1 of this embodiment, the support frame 18 supports the electric pump unit 17 so as to house the hydraulic pump 21 within the support frame 18, and the four sound-absorbing members 19S, 19R, and 19F are provided on the support frame 18 so as to cover the hydraulic pump 21. Therefore, the sound-absorbing members 19S, 19R, and 19F are disposed near the hydraulic pump 21. As a result, the sound emitted from the hydraulic pump 21 is absorbed and attenuated by the sound-absorbing members 19S, 19R, and 19F located near the hydraulic pump 21. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the sound emitted from the hydraulic pump 21 from reverberating and becoming louder inside the excavator 2. In other words, it is possible to take measures to reduce the noise of the hydraulic pump 21.
[0056] Furthermore, in the electric pump device 1 of this embodiment, the sound absorbing members 19S, 19R, 19F include mounting plates 19Sa, 19Ra, 19Fa that are detachably attached to the support frame 18, and sound absorbing materials 19Sb, 19Rb, 19Fb that are fixed to the mounting plates 19Sa, 19Ra, 19Fa. Therefore, by attaching the mounting plates 19Sa, 19Ra, 19Fa to the support frame 18, the sound absorbing members 19S, 19R, 19F can be easily attached to the support frame 18. Furthermore, by removing the mounting plates 19Sa, 19Ra, 19Fa from the support frame 18, the sound absorbing members 19S, 19R, 19F can be easily removed from the support frame 18. Therefore, although the hydraulic pump 21 is covered with the sound absorbing members 19S, 19R, and 19F, maintenance of the hydraulic pump 21 can be easily performed by removing the sound absorbing members 19S, 19R, and 19F.
[0057] Furthermore, in the electric pump device 1 of this embodiment, the sound-absorbing materials 19Sb, 19Rb, and 19Fb are attached to the first surfaces 19Sc, 19Rc, and 19Fc that face the hydraulic pump 21. Therefore, sound emitted from the hydraulic pump 21 can be absorbed and attenuated by the sound-absorbing materials 19Sb, 19Rb, and 19Fb before the sound is reflected by the mounting plates 19Sa, 19Ra, and 19Fa, thereby more effectively attenuating the sound. This reduces the noise caused by the hydraulic pump 21.
[0058] Furthermore, in the electric pump device 1 of this embodiment, the pipes 7a, 7b pass through the pipe cutout grooves 19Rg, 19Rh, 19Fg, 19Fh and extend to the outside of the support frame 18. Therefore, the sound absorbing members 19S, 19R, 19F can be removed from the hydraulic pump 21 while the pipes 7a, 7b remain connected. This makes it easy to remove the sound absorbing members 19S, 19R, 19F.
[0059] Furthermore, in the electric pump device 1 of this embodiment, a sound-absorbing material 35 is attached to the mounting portion 32. Therefore, the sound-absorbing material 35 can absorb and attenuate the sound emitted from the hydraulic pump 21 toward the mounting portion 32. This makes it possible to reduce the noise caused by the hydraulic pump 21.
[0060] Furthermore, in the electric pump device 1 of this embodiment, the shovel 2 includes the electric pump device 1. Therefore, it is possible to realize the shovel 2 that provides the above-described operational effects.
[0061] Second Embodiment The electric pump device 1A of the second embodiment is similar in configuration to the electric pump device 1 of the first embodiment. Therefore, the configuration of the electric pump device 1A of the second embodiment will be mainly described in terms of differences from the electric pump device 1 of the first embodiment, and the same components will be assigned the same reference numerals and descriptions thereof will be omitted. The same applies to the electric pump device 1B of the third embodiment.
[0062] The electric pump device 1A of the second embodiment shown in FIG. 9 is mounted on a shovel 2A and includes an electric pump unit 17, a support frame 18, pump sound-absorbing members 19S, 19R, and 19F, a tank 20, a cover frame 41, and a plurality of electric motor sound-absorbing members 42. The pump sound-absorbing members 19S, 19R, and 19F are configured similarly to the sound-absorbing members 19S, 19R, and 19F of the first embodiment. The cover frame 41 is attached to the support frame 18 so as to house the electric motor 22 therein. More specifically, the cover frame 41 is erected on the upper surface of the support frame 18. In this embodiment, the cover frame 41 is the mounting portion 32 and is provided inside the four suspending fixtures 34. As shown in FIGS. 10 and 11 , the cover frame 41 is, for example, a substantially rectangular parallelepiped frame with open sides 41 a and a ceiling 41 b.
[0063] A plurality of motor sound-absorbing members 42 are attached to the cover frame 41 so as to cover the motor 22. More specifically, the cover frame 41 has a motor sound-absorbing member 42 attached to each of the four side surfaces 41a and the ceiling surface 41b. Each motor sound-absorbing member 42 is attached to each of the side surfaces 41a so as to span two frame portions 41c located on both sides of the side surfaces 41a. The motor sound-absorbing member 42 is detachably fastened to the two frame portions 41c on each side surface 41a with fastening members such as bolts. The motor sound-absorbing member 42 is also attached to a ceiling member 41d located on the outer periphery of the ceiling surface 41b. The motor sound-absorbing member 42 is detachably fastened to the ceiling surface 41b with fastening members such as bolts. The five motor sound-absorbing members 42 cover the motor 22 from the left, right, front, rear, and above, absorbing and attenuating sounds emitted in various directions from the motor 22. Each of the motor sound-absorbing members 42 has a wiring insertion hole (not shown). Wiring connected to the inverter 23 is inserted through the wiring insertion hole. Each motor sound-absorbing member 42 configured in this manner has a mounting plate 42a and sound-absorbing material 42b.
[0064] The mounting plate 42a is detachably attached to the cover frame 41. More specifically, the mounting plate 42a is attached to each side surface 41a and the ceiling surface 41b of the cover frame 41. The mounting plate 42a is attached with its first surface 42c, which is the surface on one side in the thickness direction, facing inward of the cover frame 41, i.e., toward the electric motor 22. The mounting plate 42a is formed in substantially the same shape as the surfaces 41a and 41b to which it is attached. The mounting plate 42a is provided on each side surface 41a so as to span two frame portions 41c on both sides of the side surface 41a. The mounting plate 42a is detachably fastened to the two frame portions 41c on each side surface 41a with fastening members such as bolts. As a result, the mounting plate 42a covers the openings on each side surface 41a of the cover frame 41. The mounting plate 42a is also placed on the ceiling member 19d and covers the opening on the ceiling surface 41b. In this case, the mounting plate 42a is detachably fastened to, for example, a ceiling member 41d on the ceiling surface 41b by fastening members such as bolts.
[0065] The sound-absorbing material 42b absorbs and attenuates propagating sound. In this embodiment, the sound-absorbing material 42b is a sponge-like plate-like member made of urethane, polyester, or the like. The sound-absorbing material 42b may also be a plate-like member made of glass wool, felt, or the like. The sound-absorbing material 42b is formed in a shape substantially identical to the openings in each side surface 41a and the ceiling surface 41b of the cover frame 41. The sound-absorbing material 42b is attached to a first surface 42c of a mounting plate 42a provided on the side surface 41a or the ceiling surface 41b, which has an opening of the same shape. The sound-absorbing material 42b fits into each opening when the mounting plate 42a is attached to each side surface 41a and the ceiling surface 41b of the cover frame 41. As a result, the sound-absorbing material 42b absorbs and attenuates sound emitted from the electric motor 22 in various directions.
[0066] In the electric pump device 1A of this embodiment, the cover frame 41 is attached to the support frame 18 so as to house the electric motor 22 therein. Furthermore, the electric motor sound-absorbing member 42 is attached to the cover frame 41 so as to cover the electric motor 22. This allows the electric motor sound-absorbing member 42 to be covered in the vicinity of the electric motor 22. As a result, the sound emitted from the electric motor 22 is absorbed and attenuated by the electric motor sound-absorbing member 42 located in the vicinity of the electric motor 22, thereby preventing the sound emitted from the electric motor 22 from reverberating and becoming louder inside the construction machine. This allows measures to be taken to reduce the noise of the electric motor 22.
[0067] In the electric pump device 1A of this embodiment, motor sound-absorbing members 42 are attached to the side surfaces 41a and the ceiling surface 41b of the cover frame 41. This allows the sound emitted from the electric motor 22 in various directions to be attenuated. This further reduces the noise caused by the electric motor 22.
[0068] In addition, the electric pump device 1A of the second embodiment has the same functions and effects as the electric pump device 1 of the first embodiment.
[0069] Third Embodiment An electric pump device 1B according to a third embodiment is provided on a shovel 2B and includes an electric pump unit 17, a support frame 18, sound-absorbing members 19S and 19R, and a tank 20B, as shown in FIG. 12 . In the electric pump device 1B, sound-absorbing members 19R and 19S are attached to the rear and left side surfaces of the support frame 18, respectively. Meanwhile, in the electric pump device 1B, openings on the front and right side surfaces of the support frame 18 are covered by a tank 20B. The tank 20B, which is an example of a shield, is L-shaped in a plan view. The tank 20B is disposed from the front to the right side of the support frame 18, covering the openings on the front and right side surfaces of the support frame 18. More specifically, the support frame 18 is disposed adjacent to the tank 20B in front of and to the right of the support frame 18. Furthermore, the tank 20B extends from the lower end of the hydraulic pump 21 to the upper end of the electric motor 22, as shown in FIG. 13 . As a result, the stored hydraulic fluid absorbs and attenuates the noise emitted from the hydraulic pump 21 and the electric motor 22 .
[0070] Additionally, the hydraulic fluid cooler 6 is disposed rearward of the tank 20B on the right side of the support frame 18. The tank 20B is connected to the hydraulic fluid cooler 6 via piping 20a. The tank 20B extends rearward on the right side of the support frame 18. This allows the rear end of the tank 20B to be closer to the hydraulic fluid cooler 6. This allows the piping 20a connecting the hydraulic fluid cooler 6 and the tank 20B to be shorter.
[0071] In the electric pump device 1B of this embodiment, the sound absorbing members 19S, 19R are provided on the support frame 18 so as to cover the hydraulic pump 21 from the opposite side of the tank 20B. This allows the number of sound absorbing members 19S, 19R in the electric pump device 1B to be reduced, thereby reducing the number of parts in the electric pump device 1B.
[0072] In the electric pump device 1B of this embodiment, the tank 20B extends rearward on the right side of the electric pump device 1B toward the hydraulic fluid cooler 6. Therefore, the tank 20B can be disposed close to the hydraulic fluid cooler 6. This allows the piping 20a connecting the tank 20B and the hydraulic fluid cooler 6 to be shortened.
[0073] <Other Embodiments> In the electric pump devices 1, 1A, and 1B of the first to third embodiments, the electric pump unit 17 is a vertically mounted type in which the hydraulic pump 21 and the electric motor 22 are arranged vertically. However, the electric pump unit 17 may be a horizontally mounted type in which the hydraulic pump 21 and the electric motor 22 are arranged horizontally or longitudinally. In the electric pump devices 1 and 1A of the first and second embodiments, the sound-absorbing members 19S, 19R, and 19F do not necessarily have to be provided on all side surfaces of the support frame 18, as long as they are provided on at least one side surface. Furthermore, the sound-absorbing members 19S, 19R, and 19F do not necessarily have to cover the entire opening on each side surface, as long as they cover at least one side surface. In other words, the sound-absorbing members 19S, 19R, and 19F only have to cover at least a portion of the hydraulic pump 21. On the other hand, in the electric pump device 1B of the third embodiment, the sound-absorbing members 19F, 19S may be provided on the front and right side surfaces of the support frame 18.
[0074] Furthermore, in the electric pump devices 1, 1A, and 1B of the first to third embodiments, the support frame 18 does not necessarily have to be substantially rectangular parallelepiped-shaped, and may be polygonal prism-shaped, cylindrical, or the like. The sound-absorbing materials 19Rb and 19Fb are attached to the inner surface of the support frame 18 (i.e., the first surfaces 19Rc and 19Fc), but may also be attached to the outer surface of the support frame 18 (i.e., the outer surface of the mounting plates 19Ra and 19Fa opposite to the first surfaces 19Rc and 19Fc). Furthermore, although the electric pump unit 17 has the connecting member 24 attached to the support frame 18, the electric motor 22 or the hydraulic pump 21 may also be attached to the support frame 18.
[0075] In the electric pump device 1 of the first embodiment, the sound-absorbing member 19F is not necessarily provided. In this case, the support frame 18 is disposed so that the tank 20 is adjacent to the front of the support frame 18. This allows the hydraulic fluid in the tank 20 to absorb and attenuate sound emitted forward from the hydraulic pump 21. Similarly, in the electric pump device 1A of the second embodiment, the electric motor sound-absorbing member 42 provided on the front surface of the cover frame 41 is also not necessarily provided. Furthermore, in the electric pump devices 1 and 1A of the first and second embodiments, the sound-absorbing members 19S, 19R, 19F, and 42 are formed by mounting plates 19Sa, 19Ra, 19Fa, and 42a and sound-absorbing materials 19Sb, 19Rb, 19Fb, and 42b, but they may be formed by a single member.
[0076] <Illustrative embodiment> An electric pump device for construction machinery in a first aspect is an electric pump device for construction machinery that is mounted on a construction machine, and includes an electric pump unit that includes a hydraulic pump that discharges hydraulic fluid when a drive shaft rotates, and an electric motor that rotationally drives the drive shaft, a support frame that supports the electric pump unit, and a pump sound-absorbing member that is provided on the support frame, wherein the support frame supports the electric pump unit so as to house the hydraulic pump within the support frame, and the pump sound-absorbing member is provided on the support frame so as to cover the hydraulic pump.
[0077] According to the above aspect, the support frame supports the electric pump unit so as to house the hydraulic pump within the support frame, and the pump sound-absorbing member is provided on the support frame so as to cover the hydraulic pump. Therefore, the pump sound-absorbing member is disposed near the hydraulic pump. As a result, sound emitted from the hydraulic pump is absorbed and attenuated by the pump sound-absorbing member located near the hydraulic pump. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the sound emitted from the hydraulic pump from reverberating and becoming louder inside the construction machine. In other words, it is possible to take measures to reduce noise from the hydraulic pump.
[0078] In a second aspect, the electric pump device for construction machinery is the electric pump device for construction machinery of the first aspect, wherein the sound-absorbing member for the pump includes a mounting plate that is detachably attached to the support frame, and sound-absorbing material that is fixed to the mounting plate.
[0079] According to the above aspect, the pump sound-absorbing member includes a mounting plate that is detachably attached to the support frame and sound-absorbing material fixed to the mounting plate. Therefore, the pump sound-absorbing member can be easily attached to the support frame by attaching the mounting plate to the support frame. Furthermore, the pump sound-absorbing member can be easily removed from the support frame by removing the mounting plate from the support frame. Therefore, although the hydraulic pump is covered with the pump sound-absorbing member, maintenance of the hydraulic pump can be easily performed by removing the pump sound-absorbing member.
[0080] In a third aspect, the electric pump device for construction machinery is the electric pump device for construction machinery of the second aspect, wherein the mounting plate is attached to the support frame with a first surface facing the hydraulic pump, and the sound-absorbing material is attached to the first surface.
[0081] According to the above aspect, the sound-absorbing material is attached to the first surface facing the hydraulic pump. Therefore, sound emitted from the hydraulic pump can be absorbed and attenuated by the sound-absorbing material before the sound reverberates off the mounting plate, thereby more effectively attenuating sound. This reduces noise caused by the hydraulic pump.
[0082] In a fourth aspect, the electric pump device for construction machinery is the electric pump device for construction machinery of any one of the first to third aspects, further comprising piping connected to the hydraulic pump, the pump sound-absorbing member having a piping cutout groove, and the piping extending to the outside of the support frame through the piping cutout groove.
[0083] According to the above aspect, the piping extends to the outside of the support frame through the piping cutout groove. Therefore, the pump sound-absorbing member can be removed from the hydraulic pump while the piping remains connected. Therefore, the pump sound-absorbing member can be easily removed.
