[0013] The inventors discovered that by improving the packaging used to package products to a simpler and more innovative shape, it is possible to protect the products, ensure consumer visibility, and improve work efficiency in the production process, and thus arrived at the present invention.
[0014] That is, the present invention is characterized by comprising a front portion formed in a plate shape from a flexible material, an opening provided on the front portion and having a vertical width smaller than the longitudinal size of the contained item and a horizontal width matching the width size of the contained item, a back portion formed in a plate shape whose longitudinal size is smaller than the longitudinal size of the front portion and provided in a position opposite the front portion, and a first connecting portion and a second connecting portion that respectively connect both ends of the front portion and both ends of the back portion in a state where the front portion is curved so as to protrude toward the back portion, and the contained item is contained in a state where both longitudinal ends of the contained item are hidden from the front portion side of the opening to the back portion side.
[0015] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. To facilitate understanding of the description, the same reference numerals will be used to designate the same components in the drawings of the respective embodiments, and duplicated descriptions will be omitted.
[0016] [1] Configuration of the Package Fig. 1 is a perspective view showing an example of a package according to this embodiment. Figs. 2A to 2C are a front view, a back view, and a right side view showing an example of a package according to this embodiment. In explaining this embodiment, a writing instrument will be used as an example of a product (also referred to as a contained item 51) to be contained in the package, but this is not limiting. For example, the package can also be used for cosmetics such as eyeliner, cutlery such as spoons, forks, and knives, or other rod-shaped products.
[0017] In addition, the packaging body according to this embodiment will be described using a packaging body made of a paper base material as an example. From the viewpoint of the global environment, it is preferable to use a paper base material as the material for the packaging body, but this is not limiting. For example, plastic such as resin may also be used.
[0018] The packaging body 1 includes at least a front surface 11, a back surface 13, a first connecting portion 15, and a second connecting portion 17. The front surface 11 is formed in a plate shape (rectangular) from a flexible material. In this specification, the term "rectangular" refers to shapes including rectangular and approximately rectangular shapes as well as square and approximately square shapes.
[0019] The front surface portion 11 is configured so that the longitudinal length of the front surface portion 11 is longer than the longitudinal length of the back surface portion 13. By configuring the longitudinal length of the front surface portion 11 to be longer than the longitudinal length of the back surface portion 13 in this manner, the front surface portion 11 can be formed into a curved shape that protrudes toward the back surface portion 13 or the side opposite to the back surface portion 13.
[0020] In addition, the front portion 11 has two openings (a first opening 21 and a second opening 23) having a vertical width smaller than the longitudinal size of the writing instrument which is the stored item 51 and a horizontal width that matches the widthwise size of the stored item 51.
[0021] The first opening 21 accommodates and holds the upper part of the writing instrument (the end opposite the pen tip / brush tip). The second opening 23 accommodates the lower part of the writing instrument (the end on the pen tip / brush tip side). The first opening 21 and the second opening 23 are approximately oblong (approximately rectangular with rounded corners), and the major axis of the approximately oblong shape is aligned with the longitudinal center axis of the front surface 11. The length of the minor axis of the approximately oblong shape is approximately the same as the width of the writing instrument to be accommodated, and can be changed as appropriate depending on the shape, width, etc. of the writing instrument to be accommodated. It is preferable that the length of the minor axis of each opening and the width of the writing instrument to be accommodated in the minor axis direction are the same. Even if they are not identical, it is preferable that the error in length is within ±2 mm.
[0022] The shape of the writing instrument varies depending on the type. As long as the side of the writing instrument to be stored can be fixed at two locations, either the first opening 21 and the second opening 23 or the first through-hole 33 described below, both the first opening 21 and the second opening 23 do not necessarily have to be the same width as the writing instrument to be stored.
[0023] Furthermore, since the writing instrument stored therein is in contact with the upper end of the first opening 21 and the lower end of the second opening 23, the first opening 21 and the second opening 23 can fix not only the sides of the writing instrument but also the front of the writing instrument.
[0024] A notch 25 is provided between the first opening 21 and the second opening 23. A method for storing a writing instrument will be described later; when storing a writing instrument in the package 1, the notch 25 is opened to the left and right of the drawing and pushed into the underside (back side) of the writing instrument ( FIGS. 3E and 3F ). This process allows the writing instrument to be stored in the package 1. In this way, by providing the notch 25, not only is it easy to store the writing instrument, but the front surface 11 can be positioned under (the back side) of the writing instrument, and the front surface 11 can be formed into a curved shape that protrudes toward the back surface 13 or the side opposite to the back surface 13.
[0025] By forming such a shape, the front surface portion 11 applies force to the writing instrument in the direction toward the rear surface portion 13 at the upper end of the front surface portion 11 (the upper end of the first opening 21) and the lower end of the front surface portion 11 (the lower end of the second opening 23), and in the center of the front surface portion 11 where the notch 25 is present, the front surface portion 11 applies force to the writing instrument in the direction opposite to the rear surface portion 13. As a result, the writing instrument can be fixed and stored in the package 1. In this embodiment, the package 1 having two openings in the front surface portion 11 has been described as an example, but is not limited to this. For example, the opening may be a single, approximately oblong opening formed by combining the first opening 21 and the second opening 23.
[0026] The first opening 21 may have a notch 27 that fits the shape of a clip at the end on the side of the protrusion 35, which will be described later. If a clip is provided on the upper side of the side of the writing instrument to be stored, the clip can be fixed by the notch 27. Although the notch 27 is provided in this embodiment, the notch 27 does not have to be provided. Also, the stored item 51, such as a writing instrument, does not have to have a clip.
[0027] A protrusion 35 is provided on the front surface 11 by cutting, and the protrusion 35 is cut out to form a second through-hole 37. The shape of the protrusion 35 is a substantially polygonal shape that is wider than the width of the cutout 31 described below. By having a width wider than the width of the cutout 31, the protrusion 35 is engaged with the cutout 31 when inserted into the cutout 31.
[0028] Furthermore, the protrusion 35 provided by the notch processing and the second through-hole 37 may be formed not in the front surface portion 11 but in the plate-like portion 19 formed by extending the end of the front surface portion 11 into a plate shape. The second through-hole 37 is a hole for inserting a hook when the writing instrument is hung from a hook provided on a display shelf or the like in a store or the like.
[0029] The rear portion 13 is formed in a plate shape (rectangular shape) with a longitudinal length of the rear portion 13 shorter than the longitudinal length of the front portion 11. The length of the rear portion 13 in the minor axis direction is equal to or shorter than the length of the front portion 11 in the minor axis direction. The reason why the length of the rear portion 13 in the minor axis direction is equal to or shorter than the length of the front portion 11 in the minor axis direction is to take design into consideration so that the rear portion 13 is not visible when the package 1 containing a writing instrument is viewed from the front. However, if the length of the rear portion 13 in the minor axis direction is too short compared to the length of the front portion 11 in the minor axis direction, the strength of the rear portion 13 will be weakened, and the package 1 will not be able to maintain its shape after the writing instrument is housed therein. Therefore, it is more preferable that the length of the rear portion 13 in the minor axis direction be approximately 2 mm shorter than the length of the front portion 11 in the minor axis direction.
[0030] The first connecting portion 15 is provided at the end of the rear portion 13 in the longitudinal direction, and connects the end of the front portion 11 to the end of the rear portion 13 in a state where it is approximately upright relative to the rear portion 13. A notch 31 is formed in the first connecting portion 15 by cutting. The notch 31 is connected by inserting the protrusion 35 provided on the front portion 11 described above.
[0031] A first through-hole 33 is provided between the end of the first connecting portion 15 and the notch 31. The first through-hole 33 is a hole through which the upper tip of the writing instrument (the end opposite the pen tip / brush tip) is inserted and fixed. From the viewpoint of fixing the upper tip of the writing instrument, the shape and size of the first through-hole 33 preferably have the same shape and size as the cross section of the upper tip of the writing instrument, but are not limited to this. The shape and size of the first through-hole 33 may be any size as long as it can accommodate the upper tip of the writing instrument.
[0032] The second connecting portion 17 is formed in a plate shape, and like the first connecting portion 15, connects the end of the front portion 11 to the end of the back portion 13 in a state where it stands approximately upright relative to the back portion 13. In addition, the second connecting portion 17 supports the lower tip portion of the writing instrument (the end portion on the pen tip / brush tip side) when the writing instrument is stored.
[0033] [2] Method of storing a writing instrument Next, we will explain the procedure for storing a writing instrument in the packaging body 1. Figures 3A to 3G are diagrams showing the procedure for storing a writing instrument in the packaging body 1. Figures 4A to 4C are a front view, a left side view, and a perspective view showing an example of an actual state in which a writing instrument is stored.
[0034] 3A shows an exploded view of the packaging body 1. The packaging body 1 is composed of a sheet-like body 100 (packaging body 1) that is folded and has a first connecting portion 15, a back portion 13, a second connecting portion 17, and a front portion 11 arranged in this order.
[0035] As shown in FIG. 3A, the plate-like body 100 has five folding processes, namely, a first transverse line 101, a second transverse line 103, a third transverse line 105, a fourth transverse line 107, and a fifth transverse line 109.
[0036] First, as shown in Fig. 3A, the first connecting portion 15 of the plate-like body 100 is folded along the first transverse line 101 and the second transverse line 103, which include the cut portion 31, and folded back toward the front surface portion 11 (the near side in the drawing) (step S1). Fig. 3B shows the state after step S1 is performed.
[0037] Next, in plate-shaped body 100 having the shape shown in Figure 3B, the upper tip of the writing instrument to be housed is inserted into first through-hole 33 (step S2). Figure 3C shows the state after step S2 has been carried out.
[0038] Next, as shown in FIG. 3C, the front surface 11 of the plate-like body 100 is folded along the third transverse line 105 and the fourth transverse line 107, and folded back from the front side toward the top of the drawing (step S3).
[0039] Next, as shown in Fig. 3D, protrusion 35 is inserted into notch 31, and the clip is aligned with notch 27 (step S4). In Fig. 3D, the writing implement is not shown to clearly show the structure, but as explained in step S2, the upper tip of the writing implement is inserted into first through-hole 33. Fig. 3E shows the state after step S4 has been performed.
[0040] Next, as shown by the arrows in Figure 3E, the slit 25 is opened to the left and right of the drawing, and as shown in Figure 3F, the slit 25 is pushed into the underside (back side) of the writing instrument (step S5). Figure 3G shows the state after step S5 has been performed. In this manner, the writing instrument is contained in the package 1.
[0041] By storing the writing instrument in the package 1 in the above-described manner, the front surface 11 forms a curved shape that protrudes toward the back surface 13, and the sides are fixed at two points (a1 and a2 shown in FIG. 3G) in the first opening 21 and two points (b1 and b2 shown in FIG. 3G) in the second opening 23. In addition, the front surface of the writing instrument stored in the package 1 is fixed at the upper end of the first opening 21 (c1 shown in FIG. 3G) and the lower end of the second opening 23 (d1 shown in FIG. 3G).
[0042] As described above, according to the above embodiment, by using a packaging body consisting of a single plate-shaped body made of a paper base material, it is possible to provide a packaging body with a simpler and more innovative shape, which protects the product, ensures visibility for consumers, and improves work efficiency in the production process.
