Description

A foldable wagon that allows pets to board themselves

[0001] The present invention relates to a means of transporting pets, and more particularly, to a foldable wagon that enables pets to board themselves, which has a low-floor structure that pets can climb onto themselves, thereby providing psychological stability and comfort to the pets.

[0002]

[0003] Companion animals are animals that live alongside humans. Recognizing the many benefits they provide to humans, the term "companion animals" was renamed to reflect their resemblance to toys. As companion animals have become as important as family members, specialized products, ranging from apartments to strollers and even robots, have emerged. Sales of pet supplies have also steadily increased.

[0004] In particular, pet strollers can facilitate convenient and safe transportation for both pets and their owners. However, conventional pet strollers require pet owners to hold their pets while carrying them, which can make pets feel uneasy. Furthermore, if the pet is large or heavy, it can be difficult for the owner to carry them, which can be inconvenient. Furthermore, conventional pet strollers are bulky, making them difficult to store and transport.

[0005] Accordingly, technological development was required to improve the usability of pet strollers.

[0047] Referring to FIGS. 1 to 4, a foldable wagon (100) capable of allowing a pet to ride on its own is configured to include a main body (110), a seat (130), a handle (150), and a wheel (170).

[0048] The main body (110) comprises a low-profile body that allows the pet to climb onto it on its own, and a foldable frame structure that folds or unfolds with a hinge structure and changes its shape. The main body (110) may be made of a metal material, preferably aluminum, but is not necessarily limited thereto. The main body (110) may include a seat support frame (210) and a folding frame (230).

[0049] The seat support frame (210) is supported by the seat section (130). The seat support frame (210) forms the lower part of the wagon and is composed of a lower frame (211) that supports the bottom of the seat section (130), an upper frame (213) that supports the upper part of the seat section (130), and a canopy support frame (215) that supports the canopy of the seat section (130).

[0050] The lower frame (211) can support the bottom of the seat portion (130) and prevent sagging by including a plurality of bar-shaped connecting members (211a) that form a square perimeter and are connected across the inside. A space for storing a sliding board (250) can be formed at the bottom of the lower frame (211). Here, the sliding board (250) can correspond to a footboard that connects the wagon and the ground and guides the pet to board the wagon on its own.

[0051] Additionally, the lower frame (211) is supported by having the front wheel of the wheel part (170) attached to the front and the rear wheel of the wheel part (170) attached to the rear.

[0052] The upper frame (213) forms a square perimeter that is not larger in volume than the lower frame (211) and is coupled to the upper end of the seat portion (130) to support the upper end of the seat portion (130). The upper frame (213) is formed so that one side can be folded or unfolded with a hinge structure to change its shape. The upper frame (213) includes hinge members (213a) symmetrically left and right on the square perimeter. The upper frame (213) can be folded and unfolded by rotating one frame portion based on the hinge member (213a). The upper frame (213) has hinge members (213a) formed symmetrically left and right on the rear side so that the rear frame portion can be folded to the lower frame (211) based on the hinge member (213a), thereby lowering the height of the rear frame portion and opening up the internal space at the same time. That is, the upper frame (213) can maintain the height of the front portion and lower the height of the rear portion through the hinge member (213a) to form a boarding gate through which the pet can board the wagon by itself.

[0053] On the left and right sides of the lower frame (211) and the upper frame (213), support legs (217) of a folding structure are installed so that the folding structure can be expanded or contracted to adjust the gap (height) between the lower frame (211) and the upper frame (213). Here, the support legs (217) can be folded or unfolded with a hinge structure by hinge-joining a first leg member (217a) and a second leg member (217b). One end of the first leg member (217a) is fixedly supported on the left and right sides of the lower frame (211), and one end of the second leg member (217b) is fixedly supported on the left and right sides of the upper frame, respectively. The first and second leg members (217a, 217b) are connected to each other through a hinge axis at the other ends to rotate and be fixed.

[0054] The canopy support frame (215) may be formed across the center of both left and right sides of the upper frame (213) at a certain height and may be configured as a pair of frame members that are gathered or spread out toward the center of both front and rear sides through hinge members (215a). The hinge members (215a) are respectively included in the center of both left and right sides of the upper frame (213). The canopy support frame (215) may include a canopy rib member (215b) positioned in a space between the canopy and the upper frame (213) to reinforce the support of the canopy and prevent sagging. The canopy rib member (215b) may be folded forward or backward along the canopy support frame (215) so as to partially or completely open or seal the interior.

[0055] A locking member (215c) is coupled to one of the pair of frame members of the canopy support frame (215) and is hooked to the other frame member to lock the canopy, thereby completely sealing the internal space.

[0056] The folding frame (230) is supported by being joined to the left and right sides of the seat support frame (210), and includes a first folding member (231) having a straight side with an inclined surface and a second folding member (233) having a curved side with an inclined surface.

[0057] The first folding member (231) is hinged on one side to the left and right inner surfaces of the front of the lower frame (211), and the other side is hinged on one side of the handle portion (150).

[0058] The second folding member (233) is hinged on one side to the left and right outer surfaces of the rear portion of the lower frame (211), and the other side is hinged on the outer surface of the handle portion (150) at a position lower than the other side of the first folding member (231).

[0059] Here, the first folding member (231) and the second folding member (233) do not interfere with each other during the folding process, and the first folding member (231) is placed at the bottom and the second folding member (233) is placed on the outside with respect to the lower frame (211).

[0060] The folding frame (230) may further include a fastening member that secures and connects between the first folding member (231) and the handle portion (150) so that the folding wagon (100) can be maintained in a folded state without being arbitrarily released.

[0061] The seat portion (130) has a rectangular perimeter and is a frame shape with a seat formed on the perimeter and the lower surface. It is joined to the seat support frame (210) to form a space inside where a pet can ride or load luggage, and serves to protect the pet from the external environment by riding it. The seat portion (130) may be made of a fabric material, but is not limited thereto. The seat portion (130) has a zipper attached so that it can be joined and fixed to the seat support frame (210) with a zipper and can be easily detached and washed.

[0062] In addition, the seat portion (130) may include a ventilation portion (131) on the front or back. The ventilation portion (131) may be formed in an oval shape on the front or back of the seat portion (130) and may be formed in a mesh shape to provide ventilation to the interior of the wagon. The ventilation portion (131) may be equipped with a zipper (133) so that the interior may be opened through the zipper (133) and used as a boarding passage for a pet.

[0063] In addition, the seat part (130) is connected to a canopy (135) at the upper end. The canopy (135) is connected to the upper side of the seat part (130) and serves to protect pets riding in the wagon from external environments such as sunlight, rain, and wind. The canopy (135) is connected to the canopy support frame (215) and has a rectangular dome structure having the same shape as the perimeter of the upper frame (213), and is configured to be connected to the seat part (130) along the perimeter by a zipper, and a ventilation cloth having a mesh structure is formed on the front and back. The canopy (135) is connected to each frame of the canopy support frame (215) and the canopy rib member (215b) by a zipper, and can be opened and closed 90° in both directions along the canopy support frame (215) to be opened a total of 180°.

[0064] The handle part (150) is composed of a handle link frame (151) and a handle (153).

[0065] The handle link frame (151) is a frame that is connected to one side of the folding frame (230) in a symmetrical manner and is connected to the handle (153) at the rear end, and supports the left and right sides of the rear side of the seat support frame (210) and is configured to be folded or unfolded with a hinge structure so that its shape can be changed. The handle link frame (151) is folded in such a way that one end is connected to the folding frame (230) and the other end is connected to the handle (153) so that the height of the handle (153) can be adjusted. The handle link frame (151) is configured with a telescopic structure so that the handle (153) can be raised or lowered by expanding or contracting the telescopic structure. The handle link frame (151) supports the seat support frame (210), the folding frame (230), and the handle (153) when the wagon is in use or loaded.

[0066] The handle (153) can be formed in a form that is easy for the user to grip.

[0068] The front wheels (171) are symmetrically connected to the front lower part of the lower frame (211) on both sides and can be fixed and rotated in the horizontal direction in the shape of a sliding bar, and support the front lower part of the wagon and rotate and stop.

[0069] The rear wheels (173) are symmetrically connected to the left and right ends of the frame that connects the left and right sides to the rear lower part of the lower frame (211), and support the rear lower part of the wagon, and rotate and stop. A brake bar (310) is connected to the rear wheels (173), enabling the wagon to be braked quickly and safely even in an emergency.

[0070]

[0071] FIG. 5 is a drawing for explaining the operation of a pet self-boarding of a foldable wagon according to one embodiment of the present invention, (a) schematically illustrates a state of a pet self-boarding, and (b) illustrates an actual example.

[0072] Referring to (a) and (b) of FIG. 5, a foldable wagon (100) that allows a pet to board on its own is implemented with a low-floor structure that is lower than that of existing pet strollers, so that the pet can board on its own without having to be held and carried, thereby providing psychological stability and comfort to the pet. The foldable wagon (100) is implemented with a low-floor structure in which the lower frame (211) is formed lower than that of existing pet strollers. In addition, the foldable wagon (100) is implemented with a foldable structure in which a hinge member (213a) is formed on the upper frame (213) and one side is folded based on the hinge member (213a), thereby opening the boarding space to a height at which the pet can board on its own. In addition, the foldable wagon (100) has a sliding board (250) stored in the lower part of the lower frame (211) that is pulled out and connected to the ground, so that the pet can use the sliding board (250) as a stepping stone.

[0073] After the seat part (130) is attached to the wagon body part (110), a pet is allowed to board inside. At this time, the rear side of the upper frame (213) of the seat support frame (210) that supports the seat part (130) of the foldable wagon (100) is lowered through the hinge member (213a), thereby opening the rear side of the wagon. The pet can board inside the wagon by itself through the opened rear side of the wagon. In cases where the pet has short legs, a sliding board (250) can be used to assist self-boarding. One side of the sliding board (250) is fixed to the lower part of the lower frame (211), and the other side touches the ground, connecting the bottom of the wagon and the ground. The pet can easily board inside the wagon by stepping on the sliding board (250) through the opened rear side of the wagon. The pet can also get out of the wagon by itself.

[0074]

[0075] FIG. 6 is a drawing for explaining the canopy opening and closing operation of a foldable wagon according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0076] Referring to Fig. 6, a foldable wagon (100) has a dome-shaped canopy (135) fixedly supported on the top of the wagon via a canopy support frame (215). The canopy (135) can be opened and closed in both directions at the center of the wagon via a hinge member (215a), as shown in Fig. 6 (a), and can also be opened and closed on only one side. In addition, the canopy (135) can be completely sealed, as shown in Fig. 6 (b). A locking member (215c) is positioned in the middle of the canopy (135) to secure the sealed state. Here, the locking member (215c) can be implemented in a buckle structure. As shown in (c) of FIG. 6, the locking member (215c) may be configured to include a hollow tube formed in a tubular shape by bending the inside of the buckle body of a buckle fixed to the middle of one of the pair of canopy support frames (215) to wrap the other frame.

[0077] A canopy (135) can be optionally installed on the upper part of the seat section (130) as needed, and can be opened and closed up to 90° in one direction or 180° in both directions to open the upper part of the wagon, or can be completely sealed. At this time, a pair of canopy support frames (215) can be connected to each other using a locking member (215c) to easily secure the sealed state.

[0078]

[0079] FIG. 7 is a drawing for explaining the folding operation of a folding wagon according to one embodiment of the present invention, where (a) shows a state with wheels, and (b) shows a state with wheels removed.

[0080] Referring to Fig. 7, the folding wagon (100) implements a support leg (217) between the lower frame (211) and the upper frame (213) of the seat support frame (210) in a foldable structure, thereby expanding the gap (height) between the lower frame (211) and the upper frame (213). The upper frame (213) is formed to have a volume somewhat smaller than that of the lower frame (211), so that a step is created when the lower frame (211) and the upper frame (213) are folded.

[0081] The folding frame (230) is folded in such a manner that one side of the first folding member (231) and the second folding member (233) are spaced apart and hinge-joined to the left and right inner and outer sides of the lower frame (211), respectively, and the other side is spaced apart and hinge-joined to the left and right side and outer sides of the handle link frame (151), respectively, and the first folding member (231) is positioned at the bottom and the second folding member (233) is positioned at the outer side based on the hand link frame (151) in the step created between the lower frame (211) and the upper frame (213) by hinge rotation, thereby overlapping. Accordingly, the folding wagon (100) can minimize protrusion outward of the lower frame (211) in the folded state.

[0082] The foldable wagon (100) is fixed by a fastening member (710) in a folded state. As shown in an enlarged view in (a) of Fig. 7, the fastening member (710) is composed of a fastening ring (711) protrudingly formed in the middle of the handle link frame (151) and a fastening groove (713) formed at a position of the first folding member (231) corresponding to the fastening ring (711) of the handle link frame (151). The fastening member (710) fixes the folded state by hooking the fastening ring (711) to the fastening groove (713) in the “A” direction when the handle link frame (151) and the first folding member (231) are folded. In the fixed state, when the fastening groove (711) is pushed in the “B” direction, the fastening ring (711) is detached and released.

[0083] When loading a foldable wagon (100), the seat portion (130) is separated and the main body portion (110) is folded together with the handle portion (150) to minimize the volume for storage and carrying. At this time, if the wheel portion (170) is separated as shown in (b) of Fig. 7, the volume can be further minimized.

[0084]

[0085] According to one embodiment, a foldable wagon that allows a pet to board on its own has a low-floor structure, which allows the pet to board on its own, thereby providing psychological stability and comfort to the pet. In addition, since both the main body and the handle forming the body are configured to be foldable, the overall volume can be reduced, thereby increasing efficiency during loading, moving, and storage.
