Description

Wire mounting member, wire harness, and wire harness routing structure

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a wire attachment member, a wire harness, and a wire harness routing structure.

[0002] In conventional vehicles, when electrical devices are installed in the vehicle, electric wires connecting the electrical devices are sometimes arranged inside the passenger compartment of the vehicle (see, for example, Patent Document 1). In this case, it is common to arrange the electric wires in a position where they are not exposed, such as inside an interior component that constitutes the passenger compartment.

[0003] JP 2014-151778 A

[0004] As described above, when arranging the electric wires inside the interior part, the interior part must be attached and detached. This makes the work of arranging the electric wires complicated. Therefore, in order to easily arrange the electric wires inside the passenger compartment, it is conceivable to arrange the electric wires in an exposed state outside the interior part inside the passenger compartment. In this case, it is necessary to consider how to protect the electric wires.

[0005] An object of the present disclosure is to provide an electric wire mounting member, a wire harness, and a wire harness routing structure that enable electric wires to be easily mounted in a passenger compartment while also protecting the electric wires.

[0006] The electric wire mounting member of the present disclosure is an electric wire mounting member for mounting an electric wire arranged in a passenger compartment of a vehicle to a passenger compartment component that constitutes the passenger compartment, and comprises a sheet member and an elastic member provided on the sheet member, wherein the sheet member has an electric wire holding portion configured to be able to surround and hold the electric wire by folding back an end of the sheet member, and the elastic member is configured to be able to be fixed to the passenger compartment component by being clamped in a compressed state against a clamping portion provided on the passenger compartment component.

[0007] According to the electric wire attachment member, the wire harness, and the wire harness routing structure of the present disclosure, it is possible to easily attach the wire harness in the passenger compartment while protecting the electric wires.

[0009] [Description of Embodiments of the Present Disclosure] First, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described. The electric wire attachment member of the present disclosure is: [1] An electric wire attachment member for attaching an electric wire arranged in a passenger compartment of a vehicle to a passenger compartment component that constitutes the passenger compartment, the electric wire attachment member comprising: a sheet member; and an elastic member provided on the sheet member, the sheet member having an electric wire holding portion configured to be able to surround and hold the electric wire by folding back an end of the sheet member, and the elastic member configured to be able to be fixed to the passenger compartment component by being clamped in a compressed state by a clamping portion of the passenger compartment component.

[0010] According to this configuration, the outer periphery of the electric wire is surrounded by the electric wire holding portion formed by folding back the end of the sheet member, so that the electric wire can be protected by the electric wire holding portion of the electric wire attachment member. The electric wire attachment member can be attached to the passenger compartment component by clamping the elastic member of the electric wire attachment member between the clamping portions of the passenger compartment component. Therefore, the electric wire can be attached to the passenger compartment component using the electric wire attachment member without removing the passenger compartment component, which makes it easy to attach the electric wire inside the passenger compartment.

[0011] [2] In the above [1], the end of the sheet member forming the electric wire holding portion may be folded back and detachably fixed to the surface of the sheet member. According to this configuration, the number of electric wires held by the electric wire holding portion can be increased or decreased by opening or closing the electric wire holding portion by attaching or detaching the end of the sheet member.

[0012] [3] In the above [1] or [2], the elastic member may be made of a porous material. With this configuration, the elastic member made of a porous material can be suitably clamped and fixed by a clamping portion of a passenger compartment component.

[0013] [4] In any of the above [1] to [3], when the sheet member is a first sheet member and the electric wire holding portion is a first electric wire holding portion, the electric wire mounting member may include a second sheet member attached to the first sheet member, and the second sheet member may have a second electric wire holding portion configured to be able to surround and hold an electric wire other than the electric wire held by the first electric wire holding portion by folding back an end of the second sheet member.

[0014] According to this configuration, when placing additional electric wires in the passenger compartment, the additional electric wires can be easily attached by simply attaching the second sheet member that holds the additional electric wires to the first sheet member.

[0015] [5] In any of the above [1] to [4], the passenger compartment component may include a body panel and an interior part that cooperate with each other to function as the clamping portion, and the elastic member may be configured to be fixed to the passenger compartment component by being sandwiched in a compressed state between the body panel and the interior part.

[0016] According to this configuration, the wire attachment member can be easily attached by simply sandwiching the elastic member of the wire attachment member between the vehicle body panel and the interior part. [6] A wire harness of the present disclosure includes the wire attachment member according to any one of [1] to [5] above, and an electric wire attached to a passenger compartment component that configures a passenger compartment of a vehicle by the wire attachment member.

[0017] According to this configuration, the same effects as those of the above-mentioned electric wire attaching member can be achieved. [7] A wire harness routing structure of the present disclosure includes the wire harness described in the above-mentioned [6] and a passenger compartment component that configures a passenger compartment of a vehicle, and the electric wire attaching member of the wire harness is attached to the passenger compartment component.

[0018] This configuration can achieve the same effects as the above-described electric wire attaching member. [Details of the Embodiments of the Present Disclosure] Specific examples of the electric wire attaching member, wire harness, and wire harness routing structure of the present disclosure will be described below with reference to the drawings. In each drawing, for the convenience of explanation, some of the configuration may be exaggerated or simplified. Furthermore, the dimensional proportions of each part may differ from one drawing to another. Note that the terms "first," "second," "third," "fourth," etc. used in this specification are used simply to distinguish objects and are not used to rank the objects. Note that the present invention is not limited to these examples, but is defined by the claims, and is intended to include all modifications within the meaning and scope of the claims.

[0019] (Overall configuration of wire harness routing structure 10) As shown in Figure 1, the wire harness routing structure 10 of this embodiment includes a passenger compartment component 13 that forms part of a passenger compartment 12 of a vehicle 11, and a wire harness 14 that is routed within the passenger compartment 12.

[0020] The wire harness 14 includes electric wires 15 and an electric wire attachment member 16 that holds the electric wires 15 and is fixed to the passenger compartment component 13. The electric wire attachment member 16 regulates the routing path of the electric wires 15 arranged in the passenger compartment 12 of the vehicle 11. The wire harness 14 includes one or more electric wires 15. The electric wires 15 electrically connect a first electric device E1 and a second electric device E2 that are both attached to the vehicle 11.

[0021] The first electric device E1 may be, for example, a sensor device such as an imaging device. The first electric device E1 may be provided at a position near the rear of the passenger compartment 12 of the vehicle 11, such as a back door of the vehicle 11.

[0022] The second electric device E2 may be, for example, an electronic control unit (ECU). The second electric device E2 is provided, for example, inside or outside the passenger compartment 12 at a position near the front of the passenger compartment 12. The passenger compartment 12 is a room in the vehicle 11 where passengers including the driver sit.

[0023] The electric wires 15 connecting the first electric device E1 and the second electric device E2 are routed inside the passenger compartment 12. The electric wire attachment member 16 covers a predetermined range in the longitudinal direction of the electric wires 15, thereby partially protecting the electric wires 15 routed inside the passenger compartment 12. The electric wire attachment member 16 also holds the electric wires 15 to the passenger compartment component 13.

[0024] 2, the passenger compartment component 13 includes, for example, a vehicle body panel 17 and an interior component 18. The vehicle body panel 17 is made of, for example, metal, and the interior component 18 is made of, for example, synthetic resin. In addition, for example, the vehicle body panel 17 is a floor tunnel located between the driver's seat and the passenger seat of the vehicle 11, and the interior component 18 is a console provided on the floor tunnel.

[0025] 2 and 3 , the electric wire mounting member 16 includes a sheet member 21 and an elastic member 22 provided on the sheet member 21. The sheet member 21 is a flexible sheet-like member. The sheet member 21 is formed of, for example, a synthetic resin. The sheet member 21 has an electric wire holding portion 23 configured to be able to surround and hold the electric wires 15 by folding back an end portion 21 a of the sheet member 21. The sheet member 21 has a first surface 21 b and a second surface 21 c that are opposite sides to each other.

[0026] The elastic member 22 is, for example, fixed to the first surface 21b of the sheet member 21. The elastic member 22 is formed of, for example, a porous material such as a sponge. The elastic member 22 has, for example, a rectangular parallelepiped shape that is long in one direction. The elastic member 22 is provided on the first surface 21b in such a manner that its longitudinal direction follows one of the four sides of the rectangular sheet member 21. The end 21a of the sheet member 21 is the end corresponding to one of the four sides of the sheet member 21 that is opposite to the side on which the elastic member 22 is provided.

[0027] 4 shows the process of wrapping and holding the electric wire 15 with the sheet member 21. As shown in FIG. 4, in the sheet member 21 of this embodiment, for example, a joint 24 is provided on the first surface 21b along the end portion 21a. Then, the end portion 21a is folded back while sandwiching the electric wire 15 so that the first surfaces 21b face each other, and the joint 24 is joined to the first surface 21b. In this way, a cylindrical electric wire holding portion 23 that surrounds the outer periphery of the electric wire 15 is formed. The joint 24 can be, for example, a double-sided tape, a hook-and-loop fastener, or a button.

[0028] The joint 24 can be joined at any position within a joinable range A1 on the first surface 21b from the joint 24 to the elastic member 22. The joint 24 is also detachable from the joinable range A1. That is, the end 21a of the sheet member 21 having the joint 24 is detachable from the first surface 21b of the sheet member 21. By changing the joining position of the end 21a within the joinable range A1, it is possible to change the size of the storage space formed inside the electric wire holding portion 23. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 5 , it is also possible to hold multiple electric wires 15 inside the electric wire holding portion 23.

[0029] 2 and 3 , the wire mounting member 16 is attached to the passenger compartment component 13 by sandwiching the elastic member 22 in a compressed state in the sandwiching portion 13a of the passenger compartment component 13. The sandwiching portion 13a of the passenger compartment component 13 is formed, for example, by a vehicle body panel 17 and an interior component 18. That is, the elastic member 22 is configured to be fixed to the passenger compartment component 13 by being sandwiched in a compressed state between the vehicle body panel 17 and the interior component 18. Note that, in the wire harness routing structure 10 of this embodiment, for example, when the elastic member 22 of the wire mounting member 16 is sandwiched and fixed in the sandwiching portion 13a, the wire holding portion 23 is configured to be located vertically below the elastic member 22. In addition, the combined thickness of the elastic member 22 and the sheet member 21 is set to be larger than the distance between the vehicle body panel 17 and the interior component 18 at the sandwiching portion 13a.

[0030] (Operation of this embodiment) The operation of this embodiment will be described below. When the first electric device E1 is attached to the vehicle 11, the electric wire attachment member 16 is used to arrange the electric wires 15 extending from the first electric device E1 inside the passenger compartment 12.

[0031] When attaching the electric wire 15 to the electric wire attachment member 16, first, the end portion 21 a of the sheet member 21 is folded back so as to wrap around the electric wire 15, and the joint portion 24 is joined to the first surface 21 b. As a result, the electric wire 15 is held in a manner in which it is surrounded by the electric wire holding portion 23.

[0032] When attaching the electric wire mounting member 16 to the passenger compartment component 13, the elastic member 22 and a part of the sheet member 21 of the electric wire mounting member 16 are pressed into the space between the body panel 17 and the interior component 18 that constitute the clamping portion 13a. This causes the elastic member 22 to be clamped in a compressed state between the body panel 17 and the interior component 18, making it difficult for the electric wire mounting member 16 to fall off.

[0033] In the procedure for forming the wire harness routing structure 10, the order of attaching the electric wires 15 to the electric wire attaching member 16 and attaching the electric wire attaching member 16 to the clamping portion 13a does not matter. That is, the electric wires 15 may be attached to the electric wire attaching member 16, and then the electric wire attaching member 16 may be attached to the passenger compartment component 13. Also, the electric wires 15 may be attached to the electric wire attaching member 16 that has been attached to the passenger compartment component 13 first.

[0034] As described above, the electric wire attachment member 16 attached to the passenger compartment component 13 regulates the routing path of the electric wire 15 within the passenger compartment 12. This makes it possible to prevent interference with the electric wire 15, such as an occupant or a peripheral component getting caught on the electric wire 15.

[0035] (Advantages of this embodiment) The advantages of this embodiment will be described below. (1) Because the outer periphery of the electric wire 15 is surrounded by the electric wire holding portion 23 formed by folding back the end portion 21 a of the sheet member 21, the electric wire 15 can be protected by the electric wire holding portion 23 of the electric wire attachment member 16. Furthermore, by clamping the elastic member 22 of the electric wire attachment member 16 between the clamping portion 13 a of the passenger compartment component 13, the electric wire attachment member 16 can be attached to the passenger compartment component 13. Therefore, the electric wire 15 can be attached to the electric wire attachment member 16 without removing the passenger compartment component 13, and as a result, the electric wire 15 can be easily attached to the passenger compartment 12.

[0036] (2) The end 21 a of the sheet member 21 that forms the electric wire holding portion 23 is folded back and removably fixed to the first surface 21 b of the sheet member 21. According to this configuration, by opening and closing the electric wire holding portion 23 by attaching and detaching the end 21 a of the sheet member 21, it is possible to increase or decrease the number of electric wires 15 held by the electric wire holding portion 23.

[0037] (3) The elastic member 22 is made of a porous material. With this configuration, the elastic member 22 made of a porous material can be appropriately clamped and fixed by the clamping portion 13 a of the passenger compartment component 13.

[0038] (4) The passenger compartment structural member 13 includes a body panel 17 and an interior part 18 that cooperate with each other to function as a clamping portion 13a. The elastic member 22 is configured to be fixed to the passenger compartment structural member 13 by being sandwiched in a compressed state between the body panel 17 and the interior part 18. With this configuration, the electric wire mounting member 16 can be easily attached by simply sandwiching the elastic member 22 of the electric wire mounting member 16 between the body panel 17 and the interior part 18.

[0039] (Other Embodiments) The above embodiment can be modified as follows: The above embodiment and the following modifications can be combined with each other within the scope of technical compatibility.

[0040] The electric wire mounting member 16 in the above embodiment can be modified to a configuration as shown in, for example, Figures 6 and 7. The electric wire mounting member 16A shown in Figures 6 and 7 includes a first sheet member 30, a second sheet member 40, and an elastic member 22 provided on the first sheet member 30. The first sheet member 30 has a configuration similar to that of the sheet member 21 in the above embodiment. Therefore, with regard to the configuration of the first sheet member 30, the same components as those in the above embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals, and detailed description thereof will be omitted. The first sheet member 30 has a first electric wire holding portion 31 having a configuration similar to that of the electric wire holding portion 23 in the above embodiment. In other words, the electric wires 15 are surrounded and held by the first electric wire holding portion 31.

[0041] The second sheet member 40 is a flexible sheet-like member. The second sheet member 40 is formed, for example, from a synthetic resin. The second sheet member 40 is formed, for example, from the same material as the first sheet member 30. The second sheet member 40 has a second wire holding portion 41 that surrounds and holds an electric wire 15 a that is different from the electric wire 15 held by the first wire holding portion 31.

[0042] The second sheet member 40 has a third surface 40b and a fourth surface 40c that are opposite sides to each other. The second wire holding portion 41 is formed into a cylindrical shape that surrounds the outer periphery of the wire 15a by folding back the end portion 40a of the second sheet member 40 and joining it to the third surface 40b of the second sheet member 40. The end portion 40a of the second sheet member 40 may be configured to be detachable from the third surface 40b by a second joining portion 42. Examples of the second joining portion 42 include double-sided tape, a hook-and-loop fastener, and a button.

[0043] The second sheet member 40 is attachable to the first surface 21b of the first sheet member 30. For example, the fourth surface 40c of the second sheet member 40 is joinable to the joinable area A1 on the first surface 21b of the first sheet member 30 by a third joining portion 43. The second sheet member 40 is configured to be attachable to and detachable from the joinable area A1 by the third joining portion 43. Examples of the third joining portion 43 include double-sided tape, hook-and-loop fasteners, buttons, etc.

[0044] According to the above configuration, the electric wire mounting member 16A includes the second sheet member 40 attached to the first sheet member 30. The second sheet member 40 has a second electric wire holding portion 41 configured to surround and hold the electric wire 15a by folding back an end portion 40a of the second sheet member 40. According to this configuration, when an additional electric wire 15a is to be arranged inside the passenger compartment 12, the additional electric wire 15a can be easily attached by simply attaching the second sheet member 40 that holds the additional electric wire 15a to the first sheet member 30.

[0045] In the above configuration, the end 40a of the second sheet member 40 forming the second wire holding portion 41 may be non-detachably joined to the third surface 40b of the second sheet member 40. Also, the second sheet member 40 may be non-detachably joined to the first surface 21b of the first sheet member 30. Also, the second sheet member 40 may be attached to the end 21a of the first sheet member 30 that is joined to the first surface 21b. Also, the second sheet member 40 may be attached to the second surface 21c of the first sheet member 30.

[0046] In the above embodiment, the end 21a of the sheet member 21 that forms the wire holding portion 23 may be non-detachably joined to the first surface 21b of the sheet member 21. In the wire mounting member 16 of the above embodiment, the wire holding portion 23 may be formed by joining the end 21a of the sheet member 21 to the second surface 21c. Because the second surface 21c is not provided with the elastic member 22, the area over which the end 21a can be joined is wider than that of the first surface 21b. This makes it possible to configure a larger storage space formed inside the wire holding portion 23.

[0047] The number, shape, and other configurations of the elastic members 22 provided on the sheet member 21 are not limited to those described in the above embodiment and can be changed as appropriate. Furthermore, the elastic members 22 are not limited to being made of a porous material, and for example, rubber, which is not a porous material, may be used as the elastic members 22.

[0048] The number of electric wires 15 held by the electric wire attachment member 16 is not limited to that in the above embodiment and can be changed as appropriate. In the above embodiment, a console is used as an example of the interior part 18 that constitutes the clamping portion 13a of the passenger compartment constituent member 13, but other parts such as trim that constitutes part of the passenger compartment 12 may also be used.

[0049] In the above embodiment, the floor tunnel is used as an example of the vehicle body panel 17 that constitutes the clamping portion 13a of the passenger compartment structural member 13. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and the vehicle body panel 17 may be a vehicle body panel other than a floor tunnel.

[0050] In the passenger compartment structural member 13 of the above embodiment, the clamping portion 13a that clamps the elastic member 22 is configured by two components (the vehicle body panel 17 and the interior component 18), but this is not particularly limited. For example, the clamping portion that clamps the elastic member 22 may be configured by a recess that exists in one of the components included in the passenger compartment structural member 13.

[0051] The embodiments disclosed herein are illustrative in all respects, and the present invention is not limited to these examples. That is, the scope of the present invention is defined by the claims, and it is intended to include all modifications within the meaning and scope of the claims.

[0052] The present disclosure encompasses the following aspects.
