Abstract
Description
[0001] Portable hand shield
[0002] The subject of the invention is a portable hand shield, protecting hands against external weather conditions such as rain and wind, while performing minor manual tasks, used especially during hand-rolling cigarettes.
[0003] A significant group of cigarette smokers prepare them themselves by wrapping previously prepared tobacco in paper. A major challenge is rolling such a cigarette outside, especially when it is raining, which causes the tobacco to become damp and / or during windy weather when the wind blows the tobacco away. An additional difficulty is rolling a cigarette at night or in darkened places, when the actions performed are not clearly visible, which also significantly hinders this type of activity. Similar difficulties occur when performing other manual tasks. For example, soldering electronic wires of devices located outside during heavy rainfall or wind is much more difficult or even impossible, which is important when these devices are an important element of the critical infrastructure of a facility or machine.
[0004] In addition, heavy rain can also hinder or prevent the use of some electronic devices, such as tablets or mobile phones.
[0005] Therefore, the aim of the present invention is to develop a new, previously unknown simple and compact design of the portable hand shield that eliminates all the above-mentioned inconveniences associated with manual work performed especially outdoors in difficult weather conditions.
[0006] The portable hand shield according to the invention is characterised in that it consists of a geometric figure, of which at least one wall is made of transparent material and in at least one side wall there are at least two through holes for hands, moreover, all edges of this figure have reinforcing stitchings.
[0007] It is advantageous when the through holes for hands are located coaxially and opposite each other or are located next to each other and when elastic tubular elements made of rubber material or elastic fabric are sewn to the edges of these through holes. In a preferred example, the portable hand shield is equipped with frames made of plastic, preferably PVC or metal, preferably spring steel, and are placed in all reinforcing stitchings or are placed in reinforcing stitchings located along the lower longer edges of the lower wall of the shield, or are placed in reinforcing stitchings located along the vertical edges of the front and rear walls of this shield.
[0008] It is also advantageous when the frames placed in all reinforcing stitching consist of interconnected plastic rubber pneumatic tubes connected inseparably with one end of a rubber pneumatic tube placed in a hole made in the stitching, the other end of which is connected to a hand pump with a cork.
[0009] It is also advantageous when the frames consist of interconnected plastic rubber pneumatic tubes connected inseparably with a plastic pneumatic valve with the cork placed in the hole made in the stitching.
[0010] In another example, the frames are inseparably connected to the side wall of the shield with glue.
[0011] It is advantageous when at least one wall has at least one transparent pocket on its surface, in which a light source is placed, preferably an LED lamp.
[0012] It is also advantageous when at least one wall is made of opaque, waterproof fabric, preferably polyester with a PVC coating
[0013] It is also advantageous when the transparent walls are made of transparent film, preferably PVC film.
[0014] In another example, the front wall of the shield has a through hole covered with a rectangular fabric curtain.
[0015] It is also advantageous when the front and rear walls of the shield are equipped with handles and pockets for accessories and when ventilation through holes are made near the upper corners of these walls, located opposite each other.
[0016] The portable hand shield according to the invention enables the performance of various manual tasks, carried out outside buildings, especially in difficult weather conditions. This shield works perfectly when rolling cigarettes during precipitation and strong wind, protecting the tobacco from becoming damp and being blown away. The small overall dimensions of the shield mean that when folded it can be easily stored and carried, which allows the use of this shield at any time and place. Making one of the walls of this shield from transparent material allows the user to visually control the activities performed, while ensuring full discretion. In turn, equipping the shield with the light source such as the LED lamp allows it to be used also at night, while the frames used in this shield additionally strengthen its construction, increasing its durability at the same time. Moreover, a greater number of openings for the user's hands (at least four) allows simultaneous use of the subject shield by a larger number of users, whilst additional pockets and handles allow for storage of various accessories.

[0020] The shield according to the second embodiment shown in the drawing Fig. 7-13 has a structure similar to the shield according to the first embodiment shown in the drawing Fig. 1-6, and the difference between these two embodiments is that in this second embodiment, the shield is a cuboid solid with rounded corners, in which stitchings 6 of each wall 1, 2, 2', 3 and 5 there is a rectangular metal frame 7 (preferably made of spring steel) with a rectangular cross-section, and elastic tubular elements 8 made preferably of rubber material are sewn to the edges of the through holes 4 made in both shorter side walls 3, while on the upper surface of the upper wall 5 in its central part there is a transparent pocket 9 (made of transparent PVC film) with a snap fastener 10 enabling its closing and opening, in which the light source 11 is placed, which is preferably a typical LED lamp powered by a battery not shown in the drawing and equipped with a switch also not shown in the drawing.
[0021] In another version of this embodiment not shown in the drawing, two holes 4 for the user's hands with a tubular element 8 are made on the front wall 2 and are situated next to each other. The shield according to the third embodiment shown in the drawing Fig. 14-20 also has a structure similar to the shield according to the first embodiment shown in the drawing Fig. 1-6, and the difference between these two embodiments is that in this third embodiment, plastic frames 7 with a spherical cross-section (preferably made of PVC) are placed in the stitchings 6 located along the lower longer edges of the bottom wall 1, tubular elements 8 made of elastic fabric are sewn to the edges of the through holes 4 of both shorter side walls 3, protruding outwards, which during use of this shield adhere to the user's hands more effectively protecting the interior of the shield against wind gusts or rain, while on the inner surface of the rear wall 2' in its central part the transparent pocket 9 for the light source 11 is sewn.
[0022] The shield according to the fourth embodiment shown in the drawing Fig. 21-30 also has a structure similar to the shield according to the first embodiment shown in the drawing Fig. 1-6, and the difference between these two embodiments is that in this fourth embodiment, plastic frames 7 with the rectangular cross-section are placed in the stitchings 6 located along the vertical edges of the front wall 2 and rear wall 2', and on both shorter side walls 3 there are two through holes 4 for the user's hands located coaxially next to and opposite each other. Moreover, on the front wall 2 and rear wall 2' in their central part, identical through holes 4 for the user's hands are also made, located coaxially and opposite each other (one on wall 2 and 2'), to which an elastic tubular element 8 protruding outside these walls is sewn, wherein to the outer surface of the front wall 2 on the left side of the hole 4, one wide handle 12 is sewn, which is a fabric strap, and on the right side of this hole, a fabric pocket
[0023] 13 is sewn, while above the hole 4, a longitudinal flat rectangular through hole
[0024] 14 is made, covered with the rectangular fabric curtain 15. In turn, to the inner surface of the rear wall 2' on both sides of the hole 4, transparent pockets 9 for light sources 11 are sewn, and on the left side of the left pocket 9 on this wall, the fabric pocket 13 is sewn, behind which two short handles 12' made of rubber material are sewn, used for placing accessories not shown in the drawing. Moreover, three rectangular plate elements 16, stiffening this bottom wall, are sewn into the bottom wall 1, located next to each other and at equal distances from each other.
[0025] In another version of this embodiment not shown in the drawing, round through ventilation holes are made at the upper corners of walls 2 and 2' (located opposite each other) ensuring air circulation preventing fogging of the upper wall 5, and moreover, transparent pockets 9 for light sources 11 are placed on the front wall 2 of the hand shield.
[0026] The shield according to the fifth embodiment shown in the drawing Fig. 31-38 also has a structure similar to the shield according to the first embodiment shown in the drawing Fig. 1-6, and the difference between these two embodiments is that in this fifth embodiment, plastic rubber frames 7 are placed in the reinforcing stitchings 6 of each wall 1, 2, 2', 3 and 5, which are interconnected pneumatic tubes with a circular cross-section filled with air, wherein in the lower left corner of the front wall 2 in the stitching 6, the hole 17 is made, in which one end of the rubber pneumatic tube 18 is placed, inseparably connected with the frame 7, the other end of which is connected to the hand pump 19 equipped with the cork 19' enabling pumping of the frames 7.
[0027] The shield according to the sixth embodiment shown in the drawing Fig. 39 and 40 has a structure similar to the shield according to the fifth embodiment shown in the drawing Fig. 31-38, and the difference between these two embodiments is that in this sixth embodiment, instead of the pneumatic tube 18, the frame 7 is connected to a typical plastic pneumatic valve 20 equipped with the cork 21, enabling inflation of the frames 7 with air.
