Abstract
Description
[0001] A GUN HOLSTER LOCKING SYSTEM
[0002] Technical Field
[0003] The invention relates to a gun holster locking system that can be easily locked and whose loosening / stretching problems are reduced after locking.
[0004] State of the Art
[0005] The protection chambers where the guns are placed, especially during their transportation, are defined as gun holsters. Gun holsters, especially pistol holsters, are auxiliary apparatus that allow the pistol to be carried by attaching to the user's body. While its use can be easily applied to different body areas, it also has various models.
[0006] Gun holsters can be used by associating them with different areas such as armpit, waist, and leg, which belong to the body. Whichever use is suitable for the user in the daily life period, the holsters associated with that type of location can be used. However, the most preferred holster structures are the holsters that can be attached to and removed from the belt. Such holsters are preferred because they can form a structure that can suddenly pull the gun.
[0007] Gun holsters should not be considered as an attached product for the accessory. These holsters also have a structure that ensures life safety. The gun placed in the holster by the people carrying the pistols due to their production methods also prevents the accidents that may occur as a result of any carelessness. The use of a holster is also important to keep the gun dry. Quality holsters that are breathable and produced in a way that does not trap moisture eliminate the moisture that may occur in the barrel and prevent the gun from being affected by personal sweat and losing its function. It will also be able to minimize rusting when using a holster.
[0008] Nevertheless, the most basic function of the gun holsters is to protect the gun positioned in it against external factors by surrounding it peripherally. For this purpose, the gun holsters are designed to have a gap where the gun can be positioned and an access opening that allows the gun to be inserted and removed from this gap.
[0009] Modem holsters are generally designed so that the gun grip can take a position in this access opening. The user shall be able to pull the gun by grasping the grip positioned in the access opening or put it back in the holster.
[0010] Today, since the parts of the pistols that are external to the grip are almost entirely metal, the metal parts can be kept away from scratches and similar effects in the holster.
[0011] The holsters that provide this type of use are produced in the structure where the gap where the gun is positioned is formed by combining the two surfaces that grip the metal parts of the gun from one or more points. This combination can be provided by permanent or detachable connection apparatus.
[0012] The fact that said connection apparatus is removable / pluggable or adjustable can provide an advantage in terms of using the holster for guns in different structures and forms. The user can change the volume or form of the gap where the gun will be positioned by changing the positions of the connection apparatus.
[0013] Patent application US3252639 (A) refers to a connection apparatus that can be used to connect two interconnected surfaces from a single point in order to create a gap. From the description set of the application, it is understood that the connection apparatus has the feature of quick adjustment.
[0014] The connection apparatus described in patent application US3252639 (A) is designed in a structure that can be adjusted with a screw head. The user must be able to adjust the connection element in order to change the gap size of the holster. However, it is mandatory to use a screwdriver or a similar connection apparatus for this adjustment process.
[0015] On the other hand, the connection apparatus described in patent application US3252639 (A) envisages a grooved connection in the form of screws etc. Activities such as running, jumping, etc. during transportation can lead to the loosening of the connection apparatus over time and the growth of the gap volume according to the preset volume according to the gun to be positioned. Extra growth of the gap volume may cause the gun to fall from the holster during transportation.
[0016] Patent application US2015034684 mentions a gun holster that can be adjusted to accommodate different sizes of devices such as pistols, guns, tools, etc.
[0017] The gun holster may include a front cover comprising a series of snap-fit portions and a back cover comprising a series of receiver snap-fit portions interlocking the snap-fit portions. It is seen that each of these receiving engagement portions also has an adjustable screw and nut pair to increase or decrease the holding and the corresponding distance between the front cover and the back cover.
[0018] However, patent application US2015034684 envisages a complex connection system that can be created by connecting different connection apparatus from multiple points. It will be difficult to disassemble and assemble this type of mechanism and to adjust the gap volume.
[0019] On the other hand, considering that gun holsters are mostly requested for military use, hunting, etc., it is thought that structures with such complex mechanisms will be difficult to use and maintain under difficult conditions such as land.
[0020] Objects of the Invention
[0021] The object of the invention is to create a gun holster with an easy-to-use connection apparatus so that the volume and form of the gap where the gun will be positioned can be adjusted according to different guns.
[0022] The connection apparatus of the invention is formed in a simple structure. In this way, it can be easily adjusted without requiring any additional apparatus. This structure makes it possible to adjust the gun holster, especially in environments where there is no land use and necessary additional apparatus.
[0023] The simple structure of the created connection apparatus can be used for a long time without malfunction, especially in difficult terrain conditions encountered during military use. It has prevented problems such as fixing the position of the created adjustable connection apparatus, displacement of the connection apparatus during use, loosening, etc. In this way, the connection apparatus maintains its position even under difficult use conditions and the holster inner gap remains stable.
