Description

[0001] ELECTROLYTE SOLUTION

[0002] The invention relates to medicine and the food industry and relates to a composition of solutions that exhibits detoxification and anti-inflammatory properties when taken orally or injected directly into the vascular bed.

[0003] Any condition that is accompanied by fluid loss from the body, for example, diarrhea, repeated vomiting, overheating, etc., is also accompanied by disturbances in the electrolyte balance, which requires its additional administration either orally or directly into the bloodstream.

[0004] The most common solution that helps improve the condition during dehydration is a solution of sodium chloride in water at a concentration of 0.9%, which is isotonic to blood plasma. Such a solution is taken orally or injected intravenously until the condition improves, in an amount of about 1 liter.

[0005] But such a solution is not able to correct the composition of other electrolytes contained in cells and blood plasma: potassium, calcium, magnesium, chlorine, carbonates, etc.

[0006] Therefore, a universal rehydration composition has been developed, which is recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) for manifestations of dehydration. It contains sodium chloride, sodium citrate, potassium chloride and glucose or sucrose.

[0007] Optimal absorption of water from the intestinal cavity is best achieved with isotonic and mildly hypotonic solutions with an osmolarity of 200-250 mosm / l. According to WHO, a solution with reduced osmolarity reduces the need for intravenous infusions by 33% and mortality from diarrhea by 94%.

[0008] The traditional WHO recipe for an electrolyte solution contains 2.6 g of sodium chloride, 1.5 g of potassium chloride, 2.9 g of citrate alkaline buffer and 13.5 g of anhydrous glucose per 1 liter of water.

[0009] However, such a solution only solves the problem of restoring water-electrolyte balance during dehydration, without affecting the manifestations of intoxication and without correcting the composition of other electrolytes contained in cells and blood plasma, such as magnesium and calcium ions. Therefore, other substances were often added to the electrolyte solution to reduce intoxication and systemic inflammatory syndromes, which almost always accompany conditions that cause dehydration.

[0010] The prior art discloses an electrolyte solution with sorbitol [UA 32466, A61K9 / 08 A61K31 / 047 A61K31 / 19 A61K33 / 14 A61P7 / 08 publ. 15.12.2000]. The solution contains 6% sorbitol, 1.9% sodium lactate, 0.6% sodium chloride, 0.03% potassium chloride, 0.02% magnesium chloride and 0.01% calcium chloride. It is believed that sorbitol is rapidly metabolized, 80-90% of it is utilized in the liver and accumulates in the form of glycogen. In the liver, sorbitol is first converted to fructose, which is further transformed into glucose, and then into glycogen. Part of the sorbitol is used for emergency energy needs, the rest is deposited in the form of glycogen, [https: / / compendium.com.ua / info / 135917 / reosorbilakt-sup-sup- / ].

[0011] But such a solution, in the presence of sorbitol, can activate the polyol pathway of glucose metabolism, which is especially dangerous in people with diabetes.

[0012] In addition, such a drug is usually administered intravenously, which makes it impossible for a person to use it independently.

[0013] The closest thing to the claimed invention is a drinking solution known in Ukraine under the name “Reo” (“Reosorbilact”), water for medical purposes, containing: sodium not more than 1300 mg / 1, potassium not more than 220.0 mg / 1, magnesium not more than 80 mg / 1, calcium not more than 80 mg / 1, chlorides not more than 2000 mg / 1, HCO3 200 - 400 mg / 1, sorbitol not more than 90 mg / dm3, carbon dioxide 0.05 - 0.8 [https: / / www.uf.ua / ru / product / reo-voda-dlya- medytsynskyh-tselej / ] .

[0014] However, such a solution may not be effective enough to reduce the manifestations of intoxication when administered orally.

[0015] The invention is based on the task of creating an electrolyte solution that would have a detoxification and anti-inflammatory effect by varying the qualitative and quantitative composition.

[0016] The problem is solved by the fact that in an electrolyte solution containing sodium, potassium, magnesium ions, according to the invention, sodium, potassium, magnesium ions are contained in the composition of organic salts formed by anions of at least one organic acid selected from the group: gluconic acid, pyruvic acid, citric acid, succinic acid, malic acid, lactic acid, phosphoric acid in amounts from 0.5 to 1.2 g / 1 in terms of sodium metal ions, 0.3 -2.2 g / 1 in terms of potassium metal ions, from 0.1 to 0.8 g / 1 in terms of magnesium metal ions, and also contains sucrose or glucose from 1 g to 3 g, citric acid from 1 g to 3 g, sodium bicarbonate from 1 g to 3 5 g, taurine from 200 mg / 1 to 2000 mg / 1, palmitoylethanolamide from 100 mg / 1 to 1500 mg / 1.

[0017] The electrolyte solution can be prepared for oral administration, while it can be additionally saturated with carbon dioxide from a weakly carbonated to a strongly carbonated degree.

[0018] The electrolyte solution can be prepared for intravenous administration.

[0019] Variation in qualitative and quantitative composition allows you to create an electrolyte solution that has a detoxification and anti-inflammatory effect, even with a single use.

[0020] Adding the amino acids taurine and palmitoylethanolamide to the electrolyte solution «Restor» allows not only to restore the balance of fluid and electrolytes, but also to reduce the manifestations of intoxication and inflammation and have a general detoxification effect.

[0021] Additional saturation of the solution with carbon dioxide from a weak to a strong degree during oral administration improves its organoleptic properties.

[0022] In addition, such a solution, due to the components, even exhibits an analgesic effect, and with prolonged use reduces the manifestations of cognitive and depressive disorders. This is primarily due to the presence of palmitoylethanolamide and taurine, which have the above effects. Since such a solution is practically isotonic with blood plasma, it can be used constantly.

[0023] The claimed electrolyte solution «Restor» is manufactured as follows.

[0024] First, appropriate calculations of powder substances per 1 liter of solution are made, portions of the corresponding substances are taken, added to water with stirring.

[0025] After dissolving the substances, an absolutely transparent solution is obtained. For intravenous use, the solution is filtered on sterilization filters or / and subjected to sterilizing heat treatment.

[0026] For oral use, the solution is additionally saturated with carbon dioxide from a weak to a strong degree.

[0027] All components are available on the market. For a specialist to calculate and produce ready- to-use forms in the form of a solution for infusions or a drinking solution is not a difficult task:

[0028] The invention is illustrated by examples.

[0029] Examples.

[0030] Acute intoxication was reproduced in rats of both sexes by administering ethyl alcohol at a dose of 6 g / 100 g of weight in the form of a 10% solution intraperitoneally. The comparison drug “Reosorbilact” and the drug according to the invention were administered orally 5 min before the administration of ethyl alcohol at a dose of 3 ml / 100 g of weight.

[0031] The rate of development of the animal's lateral position, the duration of the lateral position and markers of toxic liver inflammation were assessed: alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST).

[0032] The results obtained showed that the control group and the “Reosorbilact” group had practically the same indicators, which were evaluated:

[0033] The lateral position in the control group developed after 3.3±0.4 min and lasted 123.5±12.5 min, ALT - 440±12 U / l, AST- 255±17 U / l, in the “Reosorbilact” group: the lateral position developed after 3.5±0.4 min and lasted 120.5±14.5 min, ALT - 400±12 U / l, AST- 205±27 U / l, and in the group of the drug according to the invention: the lateral position developed after 6.3±0.3 min and lasted 78.5±14.4 min, ALT - 109±24 U / l, AST- 178±19 U / , which indicates a pronounced detoxification and anti-inflammatory effect.

[0034] Industrial applicability.

[0035] The electrolyte solution according to the present invention can be used in medicine and the food industry. This type of solution has detoxification and anti-inflammatory properties, both when taken orally and when administered intravenously to restore the balance of electrolytes in the patient's body, especially in cases of dehydration or other conditions that disrupt the balance of electrolytes.

[0036] In the food industry, electrolyte drinks can be useful for providing the necessary amount of electrolytes, especially during physical exertion or hot weather. Saturation of the electrolyte solution with carbon dioxide can change its taste and texture, as well as affect the speed of its absorption by the body.

[0037] Given their composition and properties, electrolyte solutions may be useful for improving homeostasis and functioning.

[0038] The electrolyte solution according to this invention is introduced by the applicant into industrial circulation under the trademark “RESTORE PECTOP”.
