[0035] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.

[0036] Figure 1 illustrates a system according to one embodiment.

[0037] Referring to FIG. 1, the system may include an electronic device (10), a card company server (20), user terminal 1 (30), user terminal 2 (40), and a network (50). The electronic device (10) may provide information for selling items through an application, and the card company server (20) may be a server corresponding to a card company that provides discount benefits through an application. The electronic device (10) may receive information on discount benefits for each card through a server corresponding to each card company and provide the information to users using the application.

[0038] Users can purchase items based on information provided through the application using multiple user terminals, including user terminal 1 (30) and user terminal 2 (40). User terminal 1 (30) and user terminal 2 (40) are merely examples, and the scope of the present specification is not limited thereto. The system illustrated in FIG. 1 only illustrates components related to the present embodiment. User terminal 1 (30) and user terminal 2 (40) are terminals used by the user, and the user can purchase the item using the information provided by the electronic device (10) through the terminals (20, 30).

[0041] At this time, the electronic device (10) can provide card-specific benefit information received from the card company server (20) to users through the application, and users can purchase items at a discounted price by using any one of the multiple cards provided through the application. At this time, information on card discount benefits may be provided based on the membership status of the user using the application. Specifically, information may be provided on card discount benefits applicable to general memberships and card discount benefits applicable to memberships that offer additional benefits different from general memberships.

[0042] Below, a specific process by which an electronic device (10) provides information on card discount benefits to users is described.

[0043] FIGS. 2A and 2B are diagrams according to one embodiment of the present invention in which card discount information is displayed in a user interface.

[0044] An application can provide information related to an item across multiple pages. For example, an application can provide relevant information to users based on various page types, such as an item details page providing detailed information about an item, a search results page providing results for a keyword search, and so on.

[0045] Referring to Figure 2a, an item detail page providing detailed information about an item can be viewed. The application can provide multiple pieces of information about an item through the item detail page, and in addition to the information shown in Figure 2a, various other pieces of information can be displayed through the item detail page.

[0046] Sales price information for an item may be provided in the area (201) of the item detail page. In this case, area (201) may correspond to the area below the area where the item's name, etc. is displayed on the item detail page. That is, the area where the item's sales price information is displayed may be fixed in position on the item detail page as the area below the area where the item's name, etc. is displayed. For example, item sales price information, such as "sale price of 270,348 won," may be displayed in the area below the area where the item's name, etc. is displayed.

[0047] Discount information may be provided when a coupon is applied to an item in area (203) of the item details page. Area (203) may correspond to the area below area (201) where the item's sales price information is displayed on the item details page. For example, coupon discount information, such as KRW 268,348, may be displayed in the area below the area where the item's sales price information is displayed. Coupons may also be categorized into coupons applicable to all users and coupons applicable to users registered for a specific membership, depending on the user's membership type.

[0048] Shipping information related to an item may be provided in the item detail page (205). This shipping information may include shipping type, expected arrival information, and shipping price information. Shipping types may be categorized into standard shipping and "rocket shipping," a special delivery method that delivers faster than standard shipping.

[0049] Discount information and reward points applicable to the item may be provided in area (207) of the item details page. For example, card discount information provided when purchasing an item with a specific card may be displayed in area (209). When a user selects area (211) in the user interface, a page containing information on card discount benefits may be provided, as shown in FIG. 2b.

[0050] However, when card discount information is provided through a specific area (209) in an area (207) distinct from areas (201, 203), as shown in Fig. 2a, users often fail to recognize the card discount information and are therefore unable to utilize it. Therefore, the following describes the content to be displayed to users so that they can more easily recognize the card discount information.

[0051] FIGS. 3A to 3D are diagrams according to an embodiment of the present invention in which card discount information is displayed in a user interface.

[0052] Referring to FIGS. 3A to 3C, the location where the card discount information is displayed in the user interface may be different from that in FIG. 2A. The card discount information may be displayed through an area below the coupon discount information (303), such as in area (305), area (313), and area (315). That is, in FIG. 2A, the card discount information was provided in a location that was not adjacent to the sales price information and coupon discount information, making it difficult for the user to utilize the card discount information. However, as shown in FIGS. 3A to 3C, the card discount information is provided together in a location adjacent to the sales price information and coupon discount information, thereby improving convenience so that the user can more easily recognize and utilize the card discount information.

[0053] In Fig. 3a, the area (301) can be applied with the content described in relation to the area (201) in Fig. 2a, in Fig. 3a, the area (303) can be applied with the content described in relation to the area (203) in Fig. 2a, and in Fig. 3a, the area (307) can be applied with the content described in relation to the area (205) in Fig. 2a.

[0054] In addition, most of the content described with respect to the area (207) in FIG. 2A can be applied to the area (309) in FIG. 3A. However, the card discount information described in the area (209) in FIG. 2A may be organized and displayed in the area (305) in FIG. 3A. That is, the content of the card discount information described in the area (209) and the card discount information described in the area (305) are not the same, and the content of the card discount information described in the area (209) may be organized and displayed as in the area (305). Therefore, unlike the area (207) that includes card discount information, the card discount information may be displayed in the area (305), and thus the card discount information may not be included in the area (309).

[0055] In FIG. 3A, the card discount information displayed in area (305) may include price information reflecting the discount price due to the card, either in the sales price information or coupon discount information, when payment is made using the card. In FIG. 3B, the card discount information displayed in area (313) may include the discount rate due to the card, when payment is made using the card. In FIG. 3C, the card discount information displayed in area (315) may include the discount price due to the card, either in the sales price information or coupon discount information, when payment is made using the card.

[0056] According to an embodiment, among the sales price information displayed in the area (301), the coupon discount information displayed in the area (303), or the card discount information displayed in the area (305), the electronic device can determine how much of a discount the card discount information is by comparing it with the sales price information or the coupon discount information.

[0057] At this time, the electronic device may determine that the size of the area (305) and the size of the text displayed in the area (305) are displayed smaller than the size of the areas (301, 303) and the size of the text displayed in the areas (301, 303), as shown in FIG. 3A. However, if it is confirmed that the card discount information is discounted by a standard rate or more compared to the sales price information or coupon discount information, the electronic device may determine that the size of the area (305) and the size of the text displayed in the area (305) are displayed larger than the size of the areas (301, 303) and the size of the text displayed in the areas (301, 303), unlike FIG. 3A. At this time, unlike FIG. 3A, the ratio for displaying larger may be determined by considering the difference or ratio between the standard rate and the actual discount rate.

[0058] That is, the size of the areas (301, 303, 305) can be preset by the administrator of the corresponding page, and the size of the text displayed in each area can also be preset accordingly. At this time, the same settings can be applied to ensure consistency in design management with pages for other items. However, if the card discount information is confirmed to be discounted by a standard percentage or more compared to the sales price information or coupon discount information as described above, the electronic device can adjust the size of the areas (301, 303, 305) and the size of the text displayed in the areas (301, 303, 305) and display them regardless of the information preset by the administrator. This is to enable the user to more easily recognize the card discount information that is applied with a discount exceeding the standard percentage, and the electronic device can determine whether to adjust the size of the areas (301, 303, 305) and the size of the text displayed in the areas (301, 303, 305) by considering the discount information for each card on the relevant page for each item. This can be applied to areas (313, 315, 401, 403, 501, 503) as well as area (305) in this specification.

[0059] According to an embodiment, the content displayed as card discount information as in FIGS. 3A to 3C may be different, and this may be determined based on a comparison between the item's sales price information, coupon discount information, and base price information. Specifically, if the item's sales price is higher than the base price, providing the discount price or the sales price reflecting the discount price rather than the discount rate may be advantageous in terms of providing information to the user. However, if the item's sales price is lower than the base price, providing the discount rate may be advantageous in terms of providing information to the user because the discount price is not large. For example, if the item's sales price is 40,000 won and the discount rate is 5%, the discount price is 2,000 won, so providing the discount price of 2,000 won rather than the discount rate or the sales price of 38,000 won reflecting the discount price may be advantageous in terms of providing information to the user. For another example, if the selling price of an item is 10,000 won and is lower than the base price (e.g., 30,000 won), even if a discount rate of 5% is applied, the discount price is 200 won, so providing the discount rate rather than the discount price may be more advantageous in terms of providing information to users.

[0060] At this time, the standard price can be set differently for each category corresponding to the item. For example, among home appliances, the standard price for the refrigerator category may be different from the standard price for the vacuum cleaner category. In other words, the standard price can be set differently depending on the attributes of each category.

[0061] That is, in the process of setting a different base price considering the price and category of the item, comparing the sales price and the base price, and selecting the information to be displayed among the discount price, discount rate, and sales price reflecting the discount price, a lot of resources of the electronic device may be used, but the convenience of providing information to the user can be improved.

[0062] When a user selects area (311) in the user interface of FIG. 3a, a page containing information on card discount benefits, as shown in FIG. 3d, may be provided. At this time, based on information received from the card company server for each card, the electronic device can organize and manage card information applicable to the item and provide it through the user interface.

[0063] FIGS. 4A and 4B are drawings according to one embodiment for explaining different methods of displaying card discount information.

[0064] Referring to area (401) of FIG. 4A and area (403) of FIG. 4B , card discount information may be displayed in different ways. This means that the way card discount information is displayed may be set for each item category, and for items within a category, card discount information may be displayed on the item detail page in a preset way. More specifically, the way shown in FIG. 4B emphasizes card discount information more than the way shown in FIG. 4A , and the way information about card discounts is displayed may be set differently for each category to which each item belongs.

[0065] FIGS. 5A to 5D are diagrams according to an embodiment in which card discount information is displayed taking into account the user's membership.

[0066] Referring to FIG. 5a, card discount information applicable to a first membership applied when signing up for an application may be displayed in area (501). Referring to FIG. 5b, card discount information applicable to a second membership, which offers different benefits than the first membership, may be displayed in area (503). In this case, the card discount information applicable to the first membership and the card discount information applicable to the second membership may differ, and specifically, the card discount information applicable to the second membership may provide users with greater discount benefits than the card discount information applicable to the first membership.

[0067] Card discount benefits may vary depending on the membership corresponding to the user, and the electronic device may prompt a user who has signed up for the first membership to register for the second membership.

[0068] For example, if a user who has subscribed to the first membership selects area (501) in FIG. 5A, the electronic device may display a page containing information on card discount benefits, as shown in FIG. 5E. Since FIG. 5A displays card discount information applicable to the first membership and does not require the user to sign up, the electronic device may not display a page that encourages registration for the second membership, as shown in FIGS. 5C and 5D.

[0069] As another example, when a user who has signed up for the first membership selects an area (503) displaying card discount information applicable exclusively to the second membership, the electronic device may display a page prompting the user to register for the second membership, as shown in FIGS. 5c and 5d.

[0070] FIGS. 5C and 5D are pages that induce a user to register for a second membership. Referring to FIG. 5C, sales price information for an item may be provided in an area (505), discount information may be provided when a coupon is applied to an item in an area (507), and card discount information may be provided in an area (509). In FIGS. 5A and 5B, the card discount information is displayed in a relatively small size compared to the sales price information and coupon discount information, but in FIG. 5C, the card discount information may be displayed in a relatively larger size than the sales price information in the area (505) and the coupon discount information in the area (507), as in the area (509). That is, in order to further emphasize the card discount information applied exclusively to the second membership in order to induce a user to register for a second membership, the electronic device may manage the page so that the card discount information in FIG. 5C is displayed in a relatively larger size compared to FIGS. 5A and 5B. That is, unlike the case where the card discount information is displayed in a relatively smaller size than the sales price information and coupon discount information in areas (305, 313, 315, 401, 403, 501, 503) of the item detail page, on the page inducing registration for the second membership, the card discount information displayed in area (509) may be displayed in a relatively larger size than the sales price information and coupon discount information displayed in areas (505) and (507). That is, the display methods of the sales price information, coupon discount information, and card discount information may be applied differently on the item detail page and the registration inducing page.

[0071] Area (511) may display a card list including at least one card that is exclusively applied to the second membership. At this time, the maximum discount rate may be determined as the discount rate corresponding to the card that provides the highest discount rate among the discount rates for at least one card, and maximum discount rate information may be displayed on pages such as FIGS. 5C and 5D . Specifically, if the discount rates for each card are different, the electronic device may set the sizes of images and text for each card in area (511) differently in consideration of the discount rates for each card so that the user can more easily recognize the relevant information. For example, if the discount rates are applied in the order of Card A > Card B > Card C > Card D, the sizes of the images may be set differently in the order of Card A's image Image A > Card B's image B > Card C's image C > Card D's image D in consideration of the discount rates, and the sizes of the text for each card may also be set differently. At this time, the sizes of the images may be determined in a relative ratio in consideration of the relative discount rates of each card company. Accordingly, users can more easily recognize information about discount rates among multiple cards offering card discount benefits, thereby improving the usability of the application. When the user selects area (515) in FIG. 5c, the electronic device can display a page like FIG. 5e, which organizes information about card benefits.

[0072] In the area (513) of FIG. 5c, the content includes inducing users who have signed up for the application to register for the second membership through a free trial of the second membership for 30 days for the first time, and in the area (517) of FIG. 5d, the content includes inducing users who have registered for the second membership of the application and then canceled the membership by paying a certain amount every month to re-register for the second membership.

[0073] FIGS. 6A to 6C are diagrams according to one embodiment for explaining a search results page displaying card discount information.

[0074] When a user enters a keyword into an application, the electronic device can display a search results page corresponding to the keyword. The search results page may include information on the sale price, shipping, membership, rating, and credit card discounts for each item.

[0075] Referring to FIG. 6A, the search results page may include, for each item, any one of sales price information, shipping information, and membership information in area (601), and may include card discount information for each item in area (603). However, in area (603), only the maximum discount rate may be displayed, as in area (209) of FIG. 2A, and the amount information based on the card discount may not be displayed. As a result, users may not easily recognize the card discount benefit when selecting an item from among multiple items displayed on the search results page.

[0076] Referring to FIGS. 6b and 6c, the location where card discount information is displayed for each item within the search results page can be relocated from area (603) to areas (605, 607) so that users can more easily recognize card discount information compared to FIG. 6a. Furthermore, referring to FIGS. 6b and 6c, card discount information includes a discount price or a sales price reflecting the discount price, so that users can more intuitively recognize card discount benefits compared to FIG. 6a.

[0077] At this time, the sort order on the search results page corresponding to the keyword entered in the application can be determined by considering card discount information in addition to existing evaluation information, sales price information, and sales volume information. Specifically, weights are determined for each component that influences the sort order, such as evaluation information, sales price information, sales volume information, and card discount information, and the sort order can be determined based on the priority determined by considering each weight. If multiple items with identical or similar evaluation information, sales price information, and sales volume information are found, the sort order can be determined by considering card discount information.

[0078] Figure 7 is a flowchart of an information provision method performed by an electronic device according to one embodiment. The above description may also be applied here.

[0079] Referring to FIG. 7, in step S710, the electronic device can provide first sales price information among a plurality of pieces of information about an item provided through an application through a preset first area of the user interface.

[0080] Users can purchase items through the application, and when users sign up for the application, they are automatically enrolled in the first membership. Users can pay an additional fee to enroll in the second membership, which provides different benefits than the first membership.

[0081] Here, the first sales price information may include sales price information or coupon discount information prior to the card discount information being reflected. For example, the first sales price information may include the sales price information displayed in area (301) of FIG. 3 or the coupon discount information displayed in area (303).

[0082] At this time, the first sales price information may be provided through a pre-configured first area on a page providing detailed information about the item. The size of the first area and the type and size of the text displayed in the first area may be set in advance by the administrator of the relevant page.

[0083] In step S720, the electronic device can check whether the supplier identification information corresponding to the item corresponds to a preset condition.

[0084] Supplier identification information is information related to the supply of a given item, and based on this information, whether the item qualifies for a card discount can be determined. Specifically, each item provided through the application corresponds to a supplier identification information, and the electronic device can use this information to determine whether the item qualifies for a card discount.

[0085] At this time, the preset condition may be satisfied if the supplier identification information corresponding to the item does not match the supplier identification information to which the card discount benefit is not applied. For example, if the supplier identification information X is set in advance to not be eligible for the card discount benefit, the electronic device may determine that the item corresponding to the supplier identification information X is not eligible for the card discount benefit and may not display the card discount information on the relevant page. As another example, if the supplier identification information Y is set in advance to be eligible for the card discount benefit, the electronic device may determine that the item corresponding to the supplier identification information Y is eligible for the card discount benefit and may display the card discount information on the relevant page.

[0086] Here, the supplier identification information not eligible for the card discount benefit may include, for example, the supplier identification information of the returned item. For example, if the supplier identification information of Item Z corresponds to the supplier identification information of the returned item, Item Z may be determined not to be eligible for the card discount benefit. Here, Item Z may be eligible for the card discount if it is not a returned item, but if it is returned, Item Z may not be eligible for the card discount.

[0087] In step S730, the electronic device can check a card list including at least one card applicable to the item based on the supplier identification information if the preset condition is met.

[0088] If the supplier identification information of the item does not correspond to supplier identification information that is not eligible for the preset card discount, the electronic device may determine that the preset condition is satisfied and check a card list including at least one card applicable to the item to display card discount information on the relevant page.

[0089] In an embodiment, when signing up for an application, a first membership may be applied to the user, and if the user pays an additional fee, a second membership, which offers different benefits than the first membership, may be applied. The electronic device can verify the user's membership status using the application, between the first and second memberships.

[0090] At this time, the electronic device can check a card list containing at least one card, taking into account the user's verified membership. If the user's membership is a primary membership, the electronic device can provide discount benefit information applicable exclusively to the secondary membership. If the discount benefit information is selected in the user interface, the electronic device can display a page prompting registration for the secondary membership.

[0091] According to an embodiment, the electronic device can check the card information previously registered by the user in the application and determine whether the card information is applicable to the item. The electronic device can check the card that provides the maximum discount benefit among at least one card applicable to the item based on the card information previously registered by the user, and can display card discount information on a related page based on the card that provides the maximum discount benefit. At this time, if it is confirmed that a card applicable to the item has been pre-registered based on the card information, the electronic device can provide second sale price information, in which the first sale price information is modified based on the card applicable to the item, through a second area below the first area. At this time, the second area is located adjacent to the first area, so that the user can more easily compare the first sale price information and the second sale price information.

[0092] At this time, the electronic device can identify at least one card among the cards verified based on the card information, and can highlight information about the corresponding card more than other cards on the relevant page. For example, among Card 1 and Card 2 registered in advance by the user, the discount rate of Card 1 (e.g., 6%) may be greater than the reference discount rate (e.g., 5%), and the discount rate of Card 2 (e.g., 4%) may be less than the reference discount rate (e.g., 5%). At this time, the electronic device can highlight Card 1 more than Card 2 on the relevant page. For example, the information about Card 1 may be highlighted more than the information about Card 2 in terms of text size, image size, font, etc.

[0093] In step S740, the electronic device can provide second selling price information, in which the first selling price information is modified, through a second area at the bottom of the first area based on at least one card.

[0094] The electronic device can verify second sales price information, which is the modified first sales price information for at least one card. The electronic device can provide second sales price information, applying the card offering the largest discount among the second sales price information verified for at least one card, through a second area below the first area.

[0095] At this time, the second selling price information may be information determined from among a discounted price discounted from the first selling price information, a discount rate, and a selling price modified by reflecting the discounted price in the first selling price information.

[0096] According to an embodiment, the electronic device may determine one of the following: a discount price, a discount rate, or a sales price modified by reflecting the discount price in the first sales price information, based on a comparison between the first sales price information and the base price information of the item. For example, if the discount price is not significant, the electronic device may determine to provide the user with the discount rate rather than the discount price. If the discount price is above a certain amount, the electronic device may determine to directly provide the user with the discount price rather than the discount rate. In this case, the base price may be set differently for each category information corresponding to the item. For example, among home appliances, the base price corresponding to the refrigerator category may be set differently from the base price corresponding to the vacuum cleaner category. In other words, the base prices may be set differently considering the attributes of each category. In other words, setting different base prices considering the price and category of the item, and comparing the sale price with the base price to select information to be displayed among the discount price, discount rate, and sales price reflecting the discount price may consume a lot of resources on the electronic device, but the convenience of providing information to the user may be improved.

[0097] According to an embodiment, the electronic device may determine the sort order of the search result list on the search result page based on a priority determined by considering the second sales price information on the search result page corresponding to a keyword entered into the application.

[0098] At this time, a discount limit price may be set for at least one card, and if there is a card among at least one card to which a discount benefit has been applied in advance, the discount limit price may be adjusted for at least one card in consideration of the discount benefit applied in advance. At this time, the electronic device may determine the priority by considering the adjusted discount limit price. For example, among the discount limit price A of card A and the discount limit price B of card B (discount limit price A > discount limit price B), if the discount benefit price X has been applied in advance using card A, the discount limit price of card A may be adjusted to AX by excluding the discount benefit price X from the discount limit price A. At this time, the electronic device may determine the priority for sorting the search result list based on the comparison between the discount limit price AX and the discount limit price B.
