Description

[0001] SLIDING AND SWINGING FIXTURE

[0002] FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0003] The present invention concerns a sliding and swinging fixture, in particular intended for opening and closing elements of buildings, such as doors and windows, and a related method of use.

[0004] STATE OF THE ART

[0005] According to the best known embodiments, the fixtures for the elements of buildings allow doors and / or windows to be opened in a swinging or sliding manner.

[0006] In the first case, the fixture allows the opening of the element, such as the door sash or the window pane, through a swinging track that makes it possible to detach the movable frame of the element from the fixed frame and rotate it, by means of a hinge between the vertical part of the movable part and the fixed part of the fixture, towards the inside or outside of the building.

[0007] However, the inward opening of the elements, having such known fixtures, leads to a considerable encumbrance in the building, making it difficult, as well as dangerous, for nearby people to move during such openings. On the other hand, the outward opening of the elements, in particular the windows, is dangerous with regard to the opening on spaces subject to the possible passage of people, and also makes it difficult for the relative owners to clean the windows themselves.

[0008] In the second case, the fixture allows the sliding opening of the element, thanks to a track in which the element itself can be displaced laterally in a direction parallel to the horizontal mounting axis of the frame itself. This configuration makes it possible to open the sliding element through its lateral displacement, for example, behind a second element of the fixture or in one or more lateral recesses obtained in the structure on which the fixture is mounted, generally the wall of the building.

[0009] As is known, these types of fixtures lead to a smaller encumbrance on the part of the elements during their opening. However, in the case of sliding of the first element behind a second element, the fixture does not allow the total opening of both elements, reducing the passage surface, usually to half the surface of the elements themselves, through the elements themselves, during the opening phase. In the case of the presence of lateral recesses that can accommodate the element in its lateral displacement, the assembly of this type of fixtures requires important and onerous works and structural interventions by the owner, leading on the one hand to an increase in the area of passage through the element itself, but on the other hand to an increase in the surface occupied by the fixture considering the recesses obtained in the wall.

[0010] SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0011] In light of the above, the task of the present invention is to realise a sliding and swinging fixture that overcomes the limits of the prior art by allowing the opening of elements of the fixture, such as door sashes or window panes, with a smaller encumbrance of the elements themselves during the opening phase.

[0012] Within the scope of this task, it is the object of the present invention to realise a sliding and swinging fixture that allows an easier and safer opening of the elements of the fixture itself.

[0013] A further object of the invention consists in realising a sliding and swinging fixture that is able to give the broadest guarantees of reliability and safety in use.

[0014] Yet another object of the invention consists in realising a sliding and swinging fixture that is easy to make and economically competitive compared to the prior art.

[0015] The above task, as well as the aforementioned purposes and others that will better appear later, are achieved by a sliding and swinging fixture, according to claim 1, and a related method, according to claim 12.

[0016] Other features are provided in the dependent claims.

[0026] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0027] With particular reference to the figures, the sliding and swinging fixture, globally indicated with the reference numeral 1, comprises a fixed frame 2, generally mounted on a structure of the building, for example a wall, defined in turn by a fixed structure 3, a first sliding movement system 4, constrained to the fixed structure 3 and comprising a first sliding track 5 having within it sliding means 14, and a first swinging track 7 also connected to said fixed frame 2, advantageously side by side with said first sliding track 5.

[0028] The sliding and swinging fixture 1 according to the present invention further comprises a first frame element 8, configured to slide into the first sliding track 5, a movable frame 6, complementary in shape to the shape of the fixed frame 2, configured to engage in said fixed frame 2 and constrained in rotation to said fixed frame 2 by means of hinges 13, comprising a second swinging movement system 9, in turn comprising a respective second sliding track 10, having within it the sliding means 14, a second swinging track 11 constrained to the second sliding track 10, and a second frame element 12 constrained to the second swinging track 11.

[0029] According to the invention, the first sliding track 5 and the relative second sliding track 10 are arranged substantially in contact with each other along the sliding axis of the sliding movement system 4, indicated by the axis X in the attached figures, which identifies the longitudinal development of said tracks, 5, 7, 10 and 11, of the first frame element 8, thereby enabling the first frame element 8 to slide into the first sliding track 5 of the first sliding movement system 4 of the fixed frame 2 and thereafter to continue its sliding into the relative second sliding track 10 of the second swinging movement system 9 of the movable frame 6, thus resulting to be constrained to said second swinging movement system 9, and in particular to the second swinging track 11 and to the second frame element 12, so as to allow the opening and closing of the swinging on the fixed frame 2 together with the movable frame 6 by means of the hinges 13.

[0030] Said second frame element 12 is advantageously constrained to the fixed frame 2 by means of the hinges 13, and can therefore be moved in rotation with respect to the fixed frame 2.

[0031] The sliding and swinging fixture 1, according to the invention, therefore allows a first relative movement of the first frame element 8 through the first sliding movement system 4, with respect to the second frame element 12, and thereafter a second movement of both said first frame element 8 and said second frame element 12, made integral between them, by means of the second swinging movement system 9 of the movable frame 6, as visible in figures 1, 2 and 3.

[0032] In closing mode, reported in figures 1 and 4, the sliding and swinging fixture 1, according to the invention, has the first frame element 8 positioned entirely inside the fixed frame 2, to which it is constrained by means of the fixed structure 3 and the first sliding movement system 4, and the second frame element 12 constrained to the movable frame 6 by means of the second swinging movement system 9 and constrained in rotation to the fixed frame 2, by means of the hinges 13.

[0033] In sliding mode, as reported in figure 5, the sliding and swinging fixture 1, according to the invention, allows the first element 8 to slide into the first sliding track 5 of the first sliding movement system 4 and thereafter into the relative second sliding track 10 of the second swinging movement system 9, thanks to the movement means 14, and vice versa, while the second frame element 12 remains positioned entirely on the movable frame 6.

[0034] In sliding opening mode, as reported in figures 2 and 6, the sliding and swinging fixture 1, according to the invention, has both the first frame element 8 and the second frame element 12 constrained to the movable frame 6, respectively in the relative second sliding track 10 and in the relative second swinging track 11, thereby enabling the swinging opening of the movable frame 6 with respect to the fixed frame 2.

[0035] In swinging opening mode, as reported in figures 3 and 7, the sliding and swinging fixture 1, according to the invention still has both the first frame element 8 and the second frame element 12 constrained to the movable frame 6, and, thanks to the presence of the hinges 13, allows the opening of the movable frame 6, and therefore of the first frame element 8 and the second frame element 12, by rotation with respect to the fixed frame 2.

[0036] Preferably, said sliding means 14 of said sliding movement system 4 comprise a further mechanism comprising in turn wheels and tracks, and / or a bearing or magnetic sliding system.

[0037] Advantageously, the first frame element 8 further comprises a handle 15, configured to even more constrain the first element 8 to the second frame element 12, both in the swinging phase and in the opening phase, and to facilitate the rotation during the opening of the movable frame 6 with respect to the fixed frame 2.

[0038] Preferably, the first 8 and the second 12 frame element may comprise doors, cabinets or windows sashes.

[0039] In addition, said first 8 and second 12 frame elements may comprise mosquito nets, metal grids, fabrics, wood, paper, cardboard, glass, plastic or other panels. Preferably, the fixed frame 2 and the movable frame 6 can be made of aluminium, plastic, metal alloys, wood, carbon fibres, glass fibres, in particular, the latter elements can be adopted in projects where it is necessary to minimize the encumbrances of such frames, such as on yachts, ships, boats, campers and the like.

[0040] Advantageously, as illustrated in the accompanying figures, the first movement system 4 is associated with the upper crosspiece of the fixed frame 2, which fixed frame 2 is advantageously devoid of a lower crosspiece.

[0041] Advantageously, as illustrated in the accompanying figures, the second movement system 9 is associated with the upper crosspiece of the movable frame 6, where the fixed frame 2 is advantageously devoid of a lower crosspiece.

[0042] In addition, the present invention also concerns a method for opening and closing the sliding and swinging fixture, comprising the steps of: a) having a sliding and swinging fixture 1 as described above; b) sliding the first frame element 8 into the first sliding track 5 of the first sliding movement system 4 of the fixed frame 2 and thereafter into the relative second sliding track 10 of the second swinging movement system 9 of the movable frame 6, until the complete translation of the first element 8 from the first sliding track 5 to the relative second sliding track 10; c) opening the first frame element 8 and the second frame element 12 thanks to the detachment by rotation of the movable frame 6, with respect to the fixed frame 2, by means of the hinges 13; d) first closing the first frame element 8 and the second frame element 12 by means of a rotation in the opposite direction with respect to the rotation of point c), by means of the hinges 13, thereby substantially bringing the movable frame 6 into contact with the fixed frame 2, and therefore the relative second sliding track 10 with the first sliding track 5; e) sliding in closing of the first frame element 8 into the relative second sliding track 10 of the second swinging movement system 9 of the movable frame 6 and thereafter in the first sliding track 5 of the first sliding movement system 4 of the fixed frame 2, until the complete translation of the first element 8 from the relative second sliding track 10 to the first sliding track 5, and then to the complete closing of the sliding and swinging fixture, according to the invention.

[0043] The operation of the sliding and swinging fixture is clear and evident from what has been described. In practice, it has been found that the fixture, according to the present invention, fulfils the task as well as the intended purposes as it allows an opening of the elements with a smaller final encumbrance.

[0044] Another advantage of the fixture, according to the invention, is that it presents a more agile and safe opening system compared to prior art systems.

[0045] The fixture thus conceived is susceptible to several modifications and variations, all falling within the scope of the inventive concept.

[0046] Furthermore, all the details can be replaced by other technically equivalent elements.

[0047] In practice, any materials can be used according to requirements, as long as they are compatible with the specific use, the dimensions and the contingent shapes.
