[0004] The present invention generally relates to the technical field of maintenance of machines or motorcycles equipped with a chain drive, and it particularly relates to an accessory for distributing a lubricant on the chain.

[0007] In general, there is known the need to lubricate the chain drives, that is to distribute the lubricant on the chains, whether they are chains of motorcycles, bicycles or industrial machines.

[0008] The prior art devices for distributing lubricants are of the dispensing or dispenser type, that is they consist of spray cans, generally provided with a straw to direct the lubricant toward the chain.

[0009] Motorcycle and bicycle chains, especially if subjected to heavy use such as off-road and / or racing, require frequent lubrication. Therefore, users perform such operation in the personal spaces available such as garages, basements, streets or the like.

[0036] With reference to the mentioned figures, herein described is a device 1 for distributing a lubricant on a chain C of a bicycle or motorcycle.

[0037] The lubricant may be of different type depending on the needs. For example it may be oil, grease or a specific mixture prepared specifically.

Claims

CLAIMS1. An accessory for distributing a lubricant on a drive chain (C), the accessory (10) being connectable with a container (105) of the lubricant such as a syringe, a can or the like, the accessory comprising a support structure (10') comprising:- a first operative portion (20) designed to be operatively coupled with the container (105) selectively and removably;- a second operative portion (30) which comprises lubricant distribution means (40) designed to interact with the chain (C) to be lubricated;- an inlet (11) for the lubricant intended to be fluidically connected with the lubricant container (105), an outlet (12) for the lubricant, and a duct (13) extending between said inlet (11) and outlet (12); and wherein the accessory is disposable.

2. Accessory according to the preceding claim, wherein said outlet (12) and said distribution means (40) are mutually configured so that the lubricant flowing out from said outlet (12) intercepts said distribution means (40).

3. Accessory according to claim 1 or 2, wherein said distribution means (40) comprise a brush (41) or a spatula (42).

4. Accessory according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said second operative portion (30) has a pair of facing side walls (32, 33) and a connection wall (34) of the latter to define a seat (39), the latter being designed to house the chain (C) during use, said distribution means (40) extending into said seat (39) so as to intercept the chain during use.

5. Accessory according to the preceding claim, wherein said seat (39) has a first width (LA), said distribution means (40) having a second width (L4), the latter being smaller than said first width (LA) so as to form a pair of interspaces (45) between said distribution means (40) and said side walls (32, 33).

6. Accessory according to the preceding claim, comprising a nozzle (14) defining said outlet (12), said nozzle (14) being arranged at said connection wall (34) and having a third width (LI) substantially equal to or slightly smaller than said second width (L4) of said distribution means (40).

7. Accessory according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said first operative coupling portion (20) has an area (21) with an external thread configured to be coupled with a Luer-lock.

8. Accessory according to any one of the preceding claims, consisting of said support structure (10')-9. Accessory according to claim 8 wherein said first operative portion (20) has a substantially tubular shape along an axis X, said second operative portion (30) has a pair of facing side walls (32, 33) to define between them a seat (39) designed to house the chain (C) during use, said distribution means (40) extending in said seat (39) so as to intercept the chain (C) during use, said distribution means (40) consisting of a brush (41) or a spatula (42).

10. Accessory according to claim 9, wherein said seat (39) has a length (LU) and a width (LA), said distribution means (40) extending in said seat (39) for at least said length (LU) or for a width (L4) slightly smaller than the width (LA) to form a pair of interspaces (45) between said distribution means (40) and said side walls (32, 33).

11. Accessory according to claim 10, wherein said distribution means (40) extend in said seat (39) for at least said length (LU) and for a width (L4) slightly smaller than the width (LA) to form a pair of interspaces (45) between said distribution means (40) and said side walls (32, 33).

12. Accessory according to the preceding claim 9 or 10, wherein said pair of side walls (32, 33) are arranged on the opposite side with respect to said axis (X) of said first tubular portion (20).

13. A device for distributing a lubricant on a chain drive such as the chain of a bicycle, motorcycle or industrial machinery, comprising:- a dispenser (100) or injector (100') of the lubricant which comprises: a container (105) for the lubricant, an outlet (101) to allow the outflow of the lubricant from said container (105) and means (110) for promoting the outflow of the lubricant through said outlet (101);- a disposable accessory (10) according to any one of the preceding claims; wherein said inlet (11) of said accessory (10) is fluidically connected with said outletsaid accessory (10) is suitable to be removably coupled with said dispenser or injector (100, 100').

14. Device according to the preceding claim, wherein said dispenser (100) or injector (100') comprises a coupling portion (121), said accessory (10) comprising a coupling area (21), said coupling portion (121) and said coupling area (21) being mutually configured to form a Luer-lock coupling.

15. A kit for distributing a lubricant on a chain drive such as the chain of a bicycle, motorcycle or industrial machinery, comprising:- a dispenser (100) or injector (100') of the lubricant which comprises: a container (105) for the lubricant, an outlet (101) to allow the outflow of the lubricant from said container (105) and means (110) for promoting the outflow of the lubricant through said outlet (101);- at least one disposable accessory (10) according to any one of claims 1 to 12.

16. Kit according to the preceding claim, further comprising:- an extension which can be coupled with said dispenser (100) or injector (100');- a brush which can be coupled with said dispenser (100) or injector (100') alternatively to said at least one disposable accessory (10);- a UV lamp.

17. Kit according to claim 15 or 16, comprising a plurality of disposable accessories (10) according to any one of claims 1 to 12, said plurality of disposable accessories (10) being suitable to be selectively alternatively coupled with said dispenser (100) or injector (100').

18. Kit according to the preceding claim, wherein said second operative portion (30) of said plurality of disposable accessories (10) has a seat (39) designed to house the chain (C) during use, said seat (39) having a width (LA), said disposable accessories (10) of said plurality having respective seats (39) having different width (LA).

19. Kit according to claim 16 or 17, wherein at least one disposable accessory (10) of said plurality has distribution means (40) in the form of a brush (41) and at least one disposable accessory (10) of said plurality has distribution means (40) in the form of a spatula (42).

20. Kit according to claim 16 or 17 or 18, wherein at least one disposable accessory(10) of said plurality has said first coupling operative portion (20) with a coupling area (21) having an external thread (21') configured to be coupled with a Luer-lock and at least one disposable accessory (10) of said plurality has said first operative coupling portion (20) with a smooth tubular-shaped coupling area (21).

21. A method for distributing a lubricant on a chain drive such as the chain of a bicycle, motorcycle or industrial machinery comprising the steps of:- providing a dispenser or injector (100, 100') with the lubricant;- providing a distribution accessory (10) according to any one of claims 1 to 12;- coupling said accessory (10) with said dispenser or injector (100, 100'); - distributing the lubricant on the chain of the bicycle or motorcycle;- de-coupling said accessory (10) and said dispenser or injector (100, 100').

22. Method according to the preceding claim, wherein said step for providing an accessory (10) comprises the selection of an accessory from a plurality of accessories.
