[0003] Motorcycle jackets have long been a crucial element in the attire of riders, providing essential protection against the elements and potential injuries in the event of accidents. These jackets typically feature durable materials, protective padding, and strategic ventilation to ensure comfort and safety during rides. However, despite their functional design, conventional motorcycle jackets often present limitations, particularly concerning their adaptability to varying weather conditions and practicality off the bike.

Some jackets are relatively thick and more often used for winter season, others are thinner and more suitable for use during summer. One significant issue is their limited versatility, especially during warmer seasons. Many riders find it cumbersome to carry their jackets when not riding their motorcycle, particularly during summer rides when the heat renders wearing a jacket when not riding uncomfortable. Moreover, due in part to their protective elements, motorcycle jackets are generally more bulky compared to regular jackets. It is therefore a first objective of the present invention is to provide riders with a practical and efficient way to transition between wearing and carrying their jackets.

[0009] The motorcycle jacket according to the present invention allows for a very convenient way to transform the jacket into a backpack. Due to the construction of the back panel, which provides a selectively accessible accommodating space, the jacket can be turned inside said accommodating space, such as to form a backpack configuration. The accommodating space, in the jacket configuration, provides for a substantially unnoticeable design, which is pleasant to the eye. That is, when the jacket is worn, it is not apparent from the outside of the jacket that is can be turned inside out, and hence regular design of the jacket is not compromised by the additional functionality of the jacket. In addition, since no external pockets are required, the jacket may be safer since additional, in particular open, pockets may cause the user, or rider, to get stuck accidentally. For example, if shoulder straps are provided for, these may cause the user to get his or her limbs accidentally trapped therein when these are exposed in the jacket configuration, which is undesired, especially when riding a motor. The present invention, by means of the accommodating space, provides a way to tuck such straps away when the jacket is in the jacket configuration.
[0010] Within the present invention, the jacket configuration may be understood as the jacket being regularly worn as a motorcycle jacket by a user. This configuration is suitable for riding a motorcycle. The backpack configuration, on the other hand, may be understood as a configuration in which the jacket cannot be regularly worn. That is, in this latter configuration the jacket can be worn by means of the shoulder strap(s) or carried by the user, but is not suitable for, safely, riding a motorcycle. The user may switch between the jacket configuration and the backpack configuration by means of the opening element. The opening element may provide a selective and / or local access opening in the accommodating space. This may for example be the case when the first layer and / or second layer are locally mutually separated. If the opening element is a zipper, the zipper can make said access opening in the first layer or second layer, or between the first and second layer. The opening element, e.g. zipper, is preferably placed substantially vertically. When the opening element is substantially closed, the accommodating space is preferably entirely closed, and not accessible to the user. Claims1 . Motorcycle jacket for transforming into a backpack configuration, said motorcycle jacket at least comprising several connected fabric components:- at least one back panel, suitable for covering at least a part of a back of a user; at least one front panel, suitable for covering at least a part of a chest of a user; at least one pair of sleeves, suitable for covering at least a part of the arms of a user; wherein at least one back panel comprises:- at least one first layer, comprising at least a first and second surface, which first and second surface are preferably facing away from each other;- at least one second layer, comprising at least a third and a fourth surface, which third and fourth surface are preferably facing away from each other;- at least one accommodating space, at least partially formed or bounded by the second surface of the first layer and the third surface of the second layer;- at least one, preferably at least two, shoulder straps, accommodated in the accommodating space, and preferably connected to the second surface of the first layer and / or the third surface of the second layer; wherein the back panel further comprises at least one opening element, preferably a zipper, for selectively forming at least one access opening for providing access to the at least one accommodating space, said access opening allowing the motorcycle jacket, in particular the back panel, to be transformed inside out into a backpack configuration, wherein in said backpack configuration:- the second surface of the first layer and the third surface of the second layer form at least a part of an exposed side of the backpack;- the first surface of the first layer and fourth surface of the second layer form at least a part of an interior side of the backpack;- the at least one shoulder strap is accessible by the user;- at least one storage space is formed, wherein said storage space is at least partially formed by the first surface of the first layer and fourthsurface of the second layer, for storing at least the pair of sleeves and / or front panel of the motorcycle jacket wherein in said backpack configuration, the at least one opening element is configured for opening and / or closing the storage space.
2. Motorcycle jacket according to claim 1 , wherein each sleeve is provided with protective elements, preferably embedded in a portion of the sleeve, such as a pocket.
3. Motorcycle jacket according to claim 2, wherein in the backpack configuration, the sleeves with protective elements are stored in the storage space.
4. Motorcycle jacket according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the opening element is chosen from the group consisting of: Velcro, buttons, and / or hook and bar.
5. Motorcycle jacket according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the opening element is a zipper, wherein the slider is a double pull type slider.

7. Motorcycle jacket according to claim 6, wherein the opening element extends along at least 65%, preferably at least 75%, more preferably at least 85%, and most preferably substantially the entire vertical length of the back panel.
8. Motorcycle jacket according to any of the preceding claims, wherein at least one helmet loop is attached to the back panel, wherein said helmet loop is exposed in the backpack configuration.
9. Motorcycle jacket according to claim 8, wherein at least one helmet loop is attached to the second surface of the first layer and / or the third surface of the second layer.

Motorcycle jacket according to any of the preceding claims, wherein at leasta portion of the second surface of the first layer and / or at least a portion of the third surface of the second layer is provided with a protective coating and / or protective layer.11 . 18. Motorcycle jacket according to any of claims 15-17, wherein the openingelement and / or access opening extends in a substantially vertical direction between the primary portion and secondary portion.

Motorcycle jacket according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the front panel is formed by at least primary front panel portion and at least a secondary front panel portion, each connected to the back panel, preferably on opposing sides of the back panel, and wherein an edge of the primary front panel portion and the secondary front panel portion are connected or connectable by at least one opening element, in particular a zipper.

Motorcycle jacket according to any of the preceding claims, wherein a first part, in particular a first end, of at least one shoulder strap, preferably each shoulder strap, is connected to an upper side of the back panel, and wherein a second part, in particular a second end, of said shoulder strap is connected to a lower area of the back panel.21 . Back panel according to any of the preceding claims for use in a jacket, preferably a motorcycle jacket.
