[0025] 2, the storage unit 80 is a component that stores purchase history information Ihp indicating product purchase histories and search history information Ihs indicating product search histories, each associated with each of multiple occupants 9. Specifically, in the example of FIG. 2, the purchase history information Ihp and search history information Ihs on the storage unit 80 are information that is synchronously registered on an application in the electronic device 8 (electronic devices 8a to 8c) for each occupant 9. Note that, for example, permission to disclose each piece of information and the frequency of presentation of advertising information Ia, which will be described later, may be set on such an application.
[0026] It should be noted that the term "product" in this embodiment is a concept that also includes paid services provided through subscriptions or the like.
[0027] 3 is a schematic diagram illustrating an example of the purchase history information Ihp. In the example of the purchase history information Ihp shown in FIG. 3, for each product 71, a purchaser 72 among the occupants 9 (91-93) and a purchase date 73 of the product 71 are stored in association with each other. The search history information Ihs also stores, for example, a searcher among the occupants 9 (91-93) and a search date for information related to the product 71 in association with each other. In this way, the purchase history information Ihp and the search history information Ihs are stored in the storage unit 80 in association with each of the multiple occupants 9.
[0028] The information processing section 81 is a member (information processing unit) that controls various operations in the electronic device 8 and performs various types of arithmetic processing.

[0033] The display unit 84 and the audio output unit 85, which will be described in detail later, are configured to present advertising information Ia relating to an advertised product 71a (described later) to an advertising target person 9a (described later) among the multiple occupants 9 in the vehicle 1. It is assumed that the advertised product 71a corresponding to the presented advertising information Ia will become a topic of conversation among the occupants 9 in the vehicle 1. Note that such advertising information Ia is acquired by the display unit 84 and the audio output unit 85 from the server 2 (the providing unit 213 (described later)) via the communications C1 and C2 described above (see FIG. 2 ).
[0034] (C. Server 2) As shown in FIG. 2, the server 2 includes a storage unit 22 and a communication device 23 in addition to the information processing unit 21 described above.
[0035] (Information Processing Unit 21) The information processing unit 21 has a selection unit 211, a determination unit 212, and a provision unit 213. The information processing unit 21 is configured to include, for example, one or more processors (CPUs) that execute programs and one or more memories communicably connected to these processors. Such memories are configured, for example, by the RAM and ROM described above.
[0036] The selection unit 211 selects one or more advertised products 71a from the multiple products 71 corresponding to the purchase history information Ihp stored in the storage unit 80. The selection unit 211 also uses the search history information Ihs for each of the multiple occupants 9, along with the purchase history information Ihp for each of the multiple occupants 9, to select the advertised products 71a. The purchase history information Ihp and the search history information Ihs are supplied from the electronic device 8 (storage unit 80) to the selection unit 211 in the server 2 via communications C2 and C1, respectively (see FIG. 2). The selection process of the advertised products 71a by the selection unit 211 will be described in detail below.
[0037] Based on the purchase history information Ihp, the determination unit 212 determines, among the multiple occupants 9, occupants 9 who do not have a purchase history corresponding to the advertised product 71a (selected by the selection unit 211) as the advertising target persons 9a of the advertised product 71a. Note that information on the advertising target persons 9a determined in this manner is supplied to the provision unit 213.
[0038] The providing unit 213 provides the advertising information Ia for the advertised product 71a to the display unit 84 and audio output unit 85 in the electronic device 8 (the electronic device 8 corresponding to the advertised target 9a) via the aforementioned communications C1 and C2. Furthermore, as will be described in detail later, the providing unit 213 provides predetermined coupon information Ic (e.g., coupon information with a limited-time discount) to the advertised target 9a (the electronic device 8 corresponding to the advertised target 9a) who has expressed an intention to purchase the advertised product 71a. Furthermore, the providing unit 213 provides the following information when the advertised target 9a who has expressed an intention to purchase the advertised product 71a finally purchases the advertised product 71a. That is, in such a case, the providing unit 213 provides predetermined bonus information Ib (bonus information corresponding to a reward for advertising the advertised product 71a) to the occupant 9 (the electronic device 8 corresponding to the occupant) who has a purchase history corresponding to the advertised product 71a.
[0039] Note that information Ip1 indicating the intention to purchase the advertised product 71a and information Ip2 indicating the final purchase of the advertised product 71a are supplied from the electronic device 8 (electronic device 8 corresponding to the advertisement target 9a) to the providing unit 213 via communications C2 and C1 (see FIG. 2). Furthermore, each of these pieces of information Ip1 and Ip2 is provided to the providing unit 213 when the corresponding occupant 9 performs a predetermined operation on an application in the electronic device 8.
[0040] (Storage unit 22, communication device 23) The storage unit 22 is a component that stores various types of information within the server 2 and is configured using various types of memory. The communication device 23 is a device that performs various types of communication with the outside of the server 2, and is capable of performing the above-mentioned communication C1 with, for example, the communication device 13 within the vehicle 1 (see FIG. 2).
[0041] Here, the above-described storage unit 80, selection unit 211, determination unit 212, provision unit 213, determination unit 114, display unit 84, and audio output unit 85 correspond to a specific example of an "advertising presentation system" in an embodiment of the present disclosure. Also, display unit 84 and audio output unit 85 each correspond to a specific example of a "presentation unit" in an embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0042] [Operation, Function, and Effect] Next, the operation, function, and effect of this embodiment will be described in detail.
[0043] (A. Methods of presenting advertisements in vehicles) First, there are several methods for selecting advertisements to present to passengers in a vehicle, but in order to effectively stimulate passengers' desire to purchase, it is necessary to accurately understand the passengers' interests and reflect those interests in the advertisements. Therefore, for example, when multiple passengers are riding in a vehicle, the interests of all passengers do not necessarily coincide, and it is conceivable that an advertisement targeted at a specific passenger may not be effective on other passengers.
[0044] For these reasons, when multiple passengers are riding in a vehicle, it is desirable to improve the effectiveness of advertising for these multiple passengers.
[0045] (B. Advertising presentation processing in this embodiment) Therefore, in the advertising presentation system 3 of this embodiment, when multiple occupants 9 are on board the vehicle 1 as shown in Figure 1, the advertising presentation processing is performed, for example, as follows.
[0046] 4A and 4B are flowcharts illustrating an example of an advertisement presentation process according to an embodiment.
[0047] 4A and 4B, first, the determination unit 114 determines whether or not a plurality of passengers 9 who satisfy the above-described determination condition are present in the vehicle 1 (step S11 in FIG. 4A). If it is determined that a plurality of passengers who satisfy the determination condition are not present (the determination condition is not satisfied) (step S11: N), the process example shown in FIGS. 4A and 4B ends.
[0048] On the other hand, if it is determined that there are multiple passengers who satisfy such a determination condition (the determination condition is satisfied) (step S11: Y), the selection unit 211 then performs the following selection process. That is, in this case, the selection unit 211 selects the advertised product 71a from the multiple products 71 based on the purchase history information Ihp and the search history information Ihs (step S12). At this time, the selection unit 211 preferentially selects, as the advertised product 71a, a product 71 that is estimated to be of relatively high interest to all of the multiple occupants 9 based on the search history information Ihs, from the multiple products 71 corresponding to the purchase history information Ihp.
[0049] Next, based on the purchase history information Ihp, the determination unit 212 determines, among the multiple occupants 9, those occupants 9 who do not have a purchase history corresponding to the advertised product 71a as the advertising target persons 9a for that advertised product 71a (step S13).
[0050] Next, the display unit 84 and the audio output unit 85 present advertising information Ia related to the advertised product 71a to the determined advertisement target person 9a (step S14). At this time, the display unit 84 and the audio output unit 85 also present, for example, information (occupant information I9) related to the occupant 9 who has a purchase history corresponding to the advertised product 71a, along with the advertising information Ia. That is, in step S14, the display unit 84 and the audio output unit 85 present the above-mentioned advertising information Ia together with the occupant information I9 to the advertisement target person 9a. Here, the advertising information Ia is, for example, information indicating an advertisement for the advertised product 71a itself or a product similar to the advertised product 71a.
[0051] If there is a occupant 9 interested in a particular product 71, and if there is another occupant 9 who owns that product 71, the following may be done. For example, information about the product 71 may be mutually disclosed, or the owner may be requested to provide advertising information about the product 71. Also, for example, the purchase history of the product 71 may be hidden rather than disclosed, or random advertisements may be presented, so that the occupants 9 do not force each other to talk about the product 71.
[0052] Next, the providing unit 213 determines whether or not there is an advertisement target 9a who has expressed an intention to purchase the advertised product 71a, based on the above-mentioned information Ip1 (step S15 in FIG. 4B). If it is determined that there is no advertisement target 9a who has expressed such an intention to purchase (step S15: N), the series of processing examples shown in FIGS. 4A and 4B ends.
[0053] On the other hand, if it is determined that there is an advertisement target 9a who has expressed such an intention to purchase (step S15: Y), the providing unit 213 then performs the following process: In this case, the providing unit 213 provides the predetermined coupon information Ic described above to the advertisement target 9a who has expressed an intention to purchase the advertised product 71a (step S16).
[0054] Next, the providing unit 213 determines whether or not the purchase of the advertised product 71a by the advertisement target person 9a who expressed an intention to purchase has finally been completed, based on the above-mentioned information Ip2 (step S17). If it is determined that the purchase of the advertised product 71a has not finally been completed (step S17: N), the series of processing examples shown in Figures 4A and 4B ends.
[0055] On the other hand, if it is determined that the purchase of the advertised product 71a has finally been completed (step S17: Y), the provision unit 213 then performs the following process: In this case, the provision unit 213 provides the predetermined benefit information Ib described above to the occupant 9 who has a purchase history corresponding to the advertised product 71a (step S18).
[0056] This completes the series of processing examples shown in FIGS. 4A and 4B.
[0057] (C. Actions and Effects) In this embodiment, one or more advertised products 71a are selected from the multiple products 71 corresponding to the purchase history information Ihp. Furthermore, based on the purchase history information Ihp, one or more occupants 9 who do not have a purchase history corresponding to the advertised product 71a are determined as advertisement targets 9a. Then, advertising information Ia related to the advertised product 71a is presented to the advertisement targets 9a.
[0058] In this way, the advertising information Ia regarding the advertised product 71a corresponding to the purchase history information Ihp is presented to the advertising target person 9a who does not have a purchase history corresponding to the advertised product 71a, resulting in the following: That is, for example, it is possible to utilize raw evaluations by other occupants 9 (close passengers) who have a purchase history corresponding to the advertised product 71a, and it is possible to effectively generate interest in and desire to purchase the advertised product 71a among the advertising target person 9a. As a result, in this embodiment, it is possible to improve the advertising effectiveness for multiple occupants 9 in the vehicle 1.
[0059] Furthermore, in this embodiment, the advertised product 71a is selected using search history information Ihs indicating the search history of the products 71 for each of the multiple occupants 9, in addition to the purchase history information Ihp for each of the multiple occupants 9, as follows: By using such search history information Ihs for each occupant 9, the product 71 that each occupant 9 is interested in can be effectively selected as the advertised product 71a, thereby further improving the advertising effectiveness for the multiple occupants 9 in the vehicle 1.
[0060] Furthermore, in this embodiment, predetermined coupon information Ic is provided to the advertisement target person 9a who has expressed an intention to purchase the advertised product 71a, which results in the following: By utilizing the provision of such coupon information Ic, it is possible to increase the advertisement target person 9a's willingness to purchase the advertised product 71a, and further improve the advertising effectiveness for the multiple occupants 9 in the vehicle 1.
[0061] In addition, in this embodiment, when the advertisement target person 9a who has expressed an intention to purchase the advertised product 71a finally purchases the advertised product 71a, predetermined bonus information Ib is provided to the occupant 9 who has a purchase history corresponding to the advertised product 71a, resulting in the following: In other words, by providing the coupon information Ic to the advertisement target person 9a and also providing the bonus information Ib to the occupant 9 who has a purchase history corresponding to the advertised product 71a, the advertising effectiveness for the advertised product 71a can be synergistically increased. As a result, it is possible to further improve the advertising effectiveness for multiple occupants 9 in the vehicle 1.
[0062] Furthermore, in this embodiment, occupant information I9 about occupants 9 who have purchase histories corresponding to the advertised product 71a is presented together with the advertising information Ia about the advertised product 71a, resulting in the following: By also presenting such occupant information I9, it is possible to directly obtain raw evaluations of the advertised product 71a from occupants 9 who have purchase histories of the advertised product 71a. As a result, it is possible to further improve the advertising effectiveness for multiple occupants 9 in the vehicle 1.
[0063] 2. Modifications Next, modifications of the above embodiment (modifications 1 and 2) will be described. Note that, in the following, the same components as those in the embodiment will be given the same reference numerals, and descriptions thereof will be omitted as appropriate.
[0064] 5 is a block diagram showing an example configuration of a vehicle 1A, etc. (vehicle 1A, server 2A, and electronic device 8) to which an advertisement presentation system (advertisement presentation system 3A) according to Modification 1 is applied. In this advertisement presentation system 3A of Modification 1, in the advertisement presentation system 3 of the embodiment shown in FIG. 2 , vehicle 1A is provided instead of vehicle 1, and server 2A is provided instead of server 2, but the other configurations are basically the same.
[0065] (Server 2A) The server 2A has a configuration similar to that of the server 2 shown in Fig. 2 except that an information processing unit 21A is provided instead of the information processing unit 21. The information processing unit 21A does not have (omits) the selection unit 211 and the determination unit 212 described above in the information processing unit 21 shown in Fig. 2.
[0066] (Vehicle 1A) Vehicle 1A is configured such that vehicle control unit 11A is provided instead of vehicle control unit 11 in vehicle 1 shown in FIG. 2, but other configurations are basically the same.
[0067] The vehicle control unit 11A has a configuration in which the above-described selection unit 211 and decision unit 212 are added to the vehicle control unit 11 shown in FIG. 2, but the other configurations are basically the same.
[0068] As shown in Figure 5, the purchase history information Ihp and search history information Ihs stored in the storage unit 80 in the electronic device 8 are supplied to the selection unit 211 and the determination unit 212 in the vehicle control unit 11A via communication devices 83 and 13 (communication C2), respectively.
[0069] As described above, in the above embodiment, the selection unit 211 and the determination unit 212 are each built into the server 2 provided outside the vehicle 1. In contrast, in the first modification, the selection unit 211 and the determination unit 212 are each built into the vehicle 1 (vehicle control unit 11A).
[0070] In the modified example 1 having such a configuration, basically, the same effects as those of the above embodiment can be obtained by the same actions.
[0071] 6 is a block diagram showing an example configuration of a vehicle 1B, etc. (vehicle 1B, server 2A, and electronic device 8B) to which an advertisement presentation system (advertisement presentation system 3B) according to Modification 2 is applied. The advertisement presentation system 3B of Modification 2 is configured such that vehicle 1B is provided instead of vehicle 1A and electronic device 8B is provided instead of electronic device 8 in the advertisement presentation system 3A of Modification 1 shown in FIG. 5, but the other configurations are basically the same.
[0072] (Electronic device 8B) The electronic device 8B is configured such that, instead of the display unit 84 and the audio output unit 85 of the electronic device 8 shown in Figures 2 and 5, a display unit 84B and an audio output unit 85B are provided, and the holding unit 80 is not provided (omitted), but the other configurations are basically the same.
[0073] The display unit 84B and the audio output unit 85B are configured such that they do not have the functions of presenting the advertising information Ia and the occupant information I9 described above in the display unit 84 and the audio output unit 85 shown in FIGS. 2 and 5, respectively.
[0074] (Vehicle 1B) Vehicle 1B has a configuration similar to that of vehicle 1A shown in Fig. 5, except that it further includes the aforementioned storage unit 80, display unit 84, and audio output unit 85. In this case, the purchase history information Ihp and search history information Ihs stored in storage unit 80 are each information registered in an in-vehicle application in vehicle 1B.
[0075] The vehicle control unit 11A has a configuration in which the above-described selection unit 211 and decision unit 212 are added to the vehicle control unit 11 shown in FIG. 2, but the other configurations are basically the same.
[0076] 6, the purchase history information Ihp and the search history information Ihs stored in the storage unit 80 in the vehicle 1B are supplied to the selection unit 211 and the determination unit 212 in the vehicle control unit 11A via predetermined in-vehicle communication, respectively.
