The particles (11) have a magnetocaloric effect. The coating film (12) covers a portion of the surface (11a) of the particles (11). The thermal conductivity of the coating film (12) is lower than the thermal conductivity of the particles (11). The coating film (12) has a constant thickness along the surface (11a).
