[0003] Many people today are scared of heights, especially when climbing ladders. One safety concern about climbing ladders is that if the center of mass shifts off the ladder, the ladder may fall due to insufficient counter force. Currently, there are no convenient solutions to making ladders safer for people going up on tall places.

[0005] This invention adds an additional support to a ladder which will provide better stability and reduce the risk of a ladder falling down. Ultimately, this invention allows for workers to work in a safer environment. This increases the length of the base, decreasing the chance of being tipped over. This invention is also easily attached and is easy to transport.
[0006] Figure 1 shows the general idea of how the support will make the ladder more stable. The ladder in this case has a support (labeled 1) that is foldable by the pivot (labeled 2) to adjust for different situations. The support will protrude from the ladder providing an extra “leg” of the ladder preventing the ladder from tipping in the direction in which the support protrudes from.
[0007] Figure 2 shows the foldable pivot of the support allowing to adjust the support for different circumstances. In the diagram we used a universal joint (labeled 1). However, any joint can be used. There is also a clamp that clamps down on the side of the ladder (labeled 2), providing stability for the support and not allowing it to slide off the ladder.
[0008] Figure 3 shows the supporting leg can become longer or shorter. In the diagram, we illustrated using the telescoping structure, as shown with the partitions labelled 1 and 2. However, in practice, any folding mechanism can work. This allows for the invention to be portable and convenient.
[0009] On top of that, you can add the rod to the left, right, or both sides of the ladder, and extend to any angle and direction. The user will also be able to attach as many rods to the ladder as they need in order to feel safe enough in their working situation.
