Description
HAIR RAZOR IMPLEMENTFIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates generally to personal hygiene, more specifically but not by way of limitation, a razor implement having two embodiments both configured to provide lifting of hair during the cutting process. A first embodiment is releasably secured to a manual razor and provides a lower perimeter edge extending outward that engages hair immediately prior a razor blade. A second embodiment is integrally formed on an electric clipper guard and provides lifting of hair prior to engagement of the hair with the electric blade.BACKGROUND
[0002] Personal hygiene covers a broad range of activities ranging from routine bathing, dental care and shaving. The latter is typically performed by men and women wherein individuals will typically regularly shave various areas of the body. While women will often shave areas such as armpits, men routinely engage is shaving and / or trimming areas such as facial hair. While some men will shave their facial hair on a daily basis, other men prefer to have facial hair but maintain at a certain length. For those that maintain facial hair at a certain length, the conventional device that is employed to achieve this objective is an electric clipper. The electric clipper will have a guard releasably secured thereto wherein the guard maintains the electric blade a consistent distance between the surface and the electric cutting blade.
[0003] One issue with the electric clipper guard is that the conventional guard only has parallel vertical members with voids therebetween. If hair is not in a correct position, some of the hair may not be trimmed to the desired length due to the position of hair as the clipper is being utilized. A similar problem exists with manual razors. While razor guards do exist to control the distance of the blade from the skin, conventional razor guards do not have an element that is parallelwith the razor blade operable to provide lifting of hair immediately prior to contact with the razor blade.
[0004] Accordingly, there is a need for a manual razor blade guard that provides lifting of hair prior to cutting and further a similar guard is desirable to be utilized with electric clippers.SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0005] It is the object of the present invention to provide an implement for a manual razor that provides spacing of the razor blade and the skin of the user wherein the embodiment of the present invention includes spacing members operable to provide a consistent void between the razor blade and the skin.
[0006] Another object of the present invention is to provide an electric clipper guard configured to be releasably secured to an electric clipper wherein the electric guard member includes a plurality of parallel vertical members.
[0007] A further object of the present invention is to provide an implement for a manual razor that provides spacing of the razor blade and the skin of the user wherein the present invention includes a lower edge lip member that is configured to engage hair and alter the position thereof immediately prior to contact of the hair with the razor blade.
[0008] Yet a further object of the present invention is to provide an electric clipper guard configured to be releasably secured to an electric clipper wherein the present invention includes a hair engagement member secured across the plurality of parallel vertical members.
[0009] Still another object of the present invention is to provide an implement for a manual razor that provides spacing of the razor blade and the skin of the user wherein the present invention includes clip members operable to facilitate releasable securing of the present invention to a manual razor.
[0010] An additional object of the present invention is to provide an electric clipper guard configured to be releasably secured to an electric clipper wherein the hair engagement member is parallel with the blade of the electric clipper.
[0011] Yet a further object of the present invention is to provide an implement for a manual razor that provides spacing of the razor blade and the skin of the user wherein the lower perimeter edge is configured to have an angular orientation with respect to the razor blades of the manual razor.

[0021] Referring in particular to the Figures submitted herewith, the hair razor implement 100 in one embodiment is configured to be operably coupled to a conventional manual razor 99. The hair razor implement 100 includes a body 10 wherein the body 10 is manufactured from a durable resilient material such asbut not limited to plastic. The body 10 includes a planar top member 9 wherein the planar top member 9 has contiguously formed therewith a first end 11 and a second end 12. The first end 11 and second end 12 are on opposing sides of the top member 9. The first end 11 and second end 12 are arcuate in shape. The shape of the first end 11 and second end 12 are formed so as to assist in releasably securing the body 10 to the razor head 98. The body 10 further includes clip member 20. Clip member 20 is integrally formed with the lateral edge 8 of the top member 9 and extends downward therefrom. The clip member 20 extends downward having distal end 22 that extends beyond the lower edge 97 of the razor head 98. The clip member 20 functions to releasably secure the body 10 to the razor head 98. While not illustrated particularly herein, it should be understood within the scope of the present invention that the body 10 has two clip members 20 formed thereon wherein the clip members 20 are formed on opposing sides of the body 10 configured to releasably secure to opposing sides of the razor head 98.
[0022] The body 10 has formed thereon spacing members 30. The spacing members 30 extend across the opening 18 of the top member 9. Top member 9 has an opening 18 so as to inhibit interference with razor blades present on conventional razor heads 98. The spacing members 30 extend across the opening 18 and are perpendicular with the edges 27,28. The spacing members 30 extend outward from the razor head 98 a desired distance so as to maintain a consistent distance between the razor head 98 and surface being shaved. It should be understood within the scope of the present invention that the spacing members 30 could be provided in alternate thicknesses in order to control the distance between the razor head 98 and skin surface being shaved. It is further contemplated within the scope of the present invention that the body 10 could have alternate quantities of spacing members 30 across the opening 18.
[0023] Formed along the lower edge of the body 10 is the lower edge lip member 40. The lower edge lip member 40 extends across the full width of the body 10 and is manufactured from a suitable material such as but not limited to plastic. The lower edge lip member 40 is formed in an angular orientation with respect to the topmember 9 as is illustrated herein in Figure 2 submitted as a part hereof. Generally, the lower edge lip member 40 is angled and extends away from opening 18 and body 10 at an obtuse angle relative to the plane of top member 9. The lower edge lip member 40 is positioned so as to engage hair on a skin surface being shaved wherein the aforementioned orientation of the lower edge lip member 40 provides lifting of the hair in order to ensure proper positioning of the hair immediately prior to engagement by a razor blade present on the razor head 98 to ensure consistent uniform cutting of all of the hair present on the skin surface. It should be understood within the scope of the present invention that the lower edge lip member 40 could be serrated or a straight edge.
[0024] Referring now to Figure 3 submitted herewith an alternative embodiment of the hair razor implement 200 is illustrated herein. The hair razor implement 200 is configured to be operably coupled to a conventional electric hair clipperfnot illustrated herein]. The hair razor implement 200 includes a body 210 that is manufactured from a durable material such as but not limited to plastic. The body 210 includes a plurality of parallel vertical members 220. The vertical members 220 are planar in manner having a void 230 therebetween. The body 210 is shaped so as to ensure a clipper blade of a conventional electric clipper maintains a consistent distance from the surface of the skin from which hair is being trimmed. It should be understood within the scope of the present invention that the body 210 could have alternate quantities of vertical members 220.
[0025] Integrally secured to the vertical members 220 along the bottom edge 221 thereof is lateral hair engagement member 250. The lateral hair engagement member 250 is rectangular in shape and extends across the full width of the body 210. The lateral hair engagement member 250 is configured to engage hair strands on the surface of the skin having hair trimmed therefrom wherein the lateral hair engagement member 250 engages the hair strands prior to the cutting thereof to ensure an upright position of all of the hair strands present on the surface of the skin. It should be understood that the lateral hair engagement member 250 could be present in various alternate positions along the bottom edge 221. Furthermore, it is contemplated within the scope of the presentinvention that either one or more than one lateral hair engagement member 250 could be present. Additionally, it should be understood within the scope of the present invention that the lateral hair engagement member 250 could be manufactured in alternate widths and could be serrated or a straight edge.

Claims
AMENDED CLAIMS received by the International Bureau on 29 October 2025 (29.10.2025)WHAT IS CLAIMED IS:
1. A hair razor implement configured to operably couple to a hair razor wherein the hair razor implement comprises: a body, said body configured to be releasably secured to a razor head of the hair razor, said body having a top member positioned on top of said razor head, said top member being planar in manner having an opening, said opening circumferentially disposed around razor blades present on the razor head, said body having a first upper end extending over an upper end of the razor head and a second lower end extending over a lower end of the razor head, said first upper end and said second lower end being contiguously formed with said top member on opposing sides of said top member, said first upper end and said second lower end being arcuate in shape; a lower edge lip member, said lower edge lip member being formed on said top member adjacent said second lower end of said body and adjacent to said opening, said lower edge lip member extending across a full width of said body, said lower edge lip member extending away from said opening and away from said second lower end of said body at an obtuse angle relative to the top member, said lower edge lip member operative to contact hair prior to said hair contacting the razor head.
2. The hair razor implement configured to operably couple to a hair razor as recited in claim 1, wherein said body further includes clip members, said clip members being integrally formed with said body on opposing sides thereof, said clip members extending downward from said top member, said clip members operable to assist in releasably securing said body to the razor head.
3. The hair razor implement configured to operably couple to a hair razor as recited in claim 2, and further including a plurality of spacing members, said plurality of spacing members extending across said opening of said body, said plurality ofspacing members being perpendicular with respect to said first upper end and said second lower end of said body.
4. The hair razor implement configured to operably couple to a hair razor as recited in claim 3, wherein said lower edge lip member is arcuate in form.
5. The hair razor implement configured to operably couple to a hair razor as recited in claim 4, wherein said body is manufactured from plastic.
6. An implement for an electric hair clipper configured to be operably coupled thereto wherein the implement comprises: a body, said body having a first end and a second end, said body having a plurality of parallel vertical members, said parallel vertical members having a void therebetween, said parallel vertical members being present across a full width of said body, said parallel vertical members having a bottom edge; at least one hair engagement member, said at least one hair engagement member being secured to said bottom edge of said parallel vertical members, said at least one hair engagement member extending across a full width of said body, said at least one hair engagement member being perpendicular with said plurality of parallel vertical members; and wherein said at least one hair engagement member is configured to engage hair stands on a skin surface and place in an upright orientation prior to cutting thereof by the electric hair clipper.
