Abstract
An object of the present invention is to provide a spring-loaded brake, which has a more compact structure and can provide a larger braking force. The spring-loaded brake includes: a rotating portion, having a hub and a brake disc; and a fixed portion, having a cover plate, an armature, and an end cover coaxially arranged with the rotating portion. The end cover is provided with an annular groove, an electromagnetic coil is arranged in the annular groove, and a spring is arranged on an outer side wall of the annular groove. The spring is configured to apply an axial pressure to the armature, so that a friction braking force is generated between the armature and the brake disc. When energized, the electromagnetic coil generates a magnetic force for the armature that is greater than an elastic force of the spring. A radial interior of an inner side wall is provided with a main bearing. The present invention further relates to a servo motor using the spring-loaded brake and an industrial robot using the servo motor.
