Food and drink provision system and event processing method

[0001] The present invention relates to a food and drink serving system having a conveying path that passes along a customer table and conveys a support on which food and drink can be placed, and to an event processing method using the conveying path.

[0002] Restaurants commonly known as conveyor belt sushi restaurants are equipped with food and beverage conveying devices equipped with conveying paths that move in a circular motion along the customer seats (see, for example, Patent Document 1). In such restaurants, chefs place food and beverages, such as sushi, onto containers, such as plates, and then transfer the plates onto the conveying path of the food and beverage conveying device, which then conveys the plates to the customers' seats. Meanwhile, customers can pick up the plates carrying the sushi or other food from the conveying path as desired and eat the food and beverages.

A food and drink service system having a transport path that passes alongside customer tables and transports a support on which food and drink can be placed, comprising: a memory unit that stores reservation information from customers, the memory unit storing seating information for a table assigned to the customer at the time the customer visits the store, in association with the reservation information; a first event support having an openable and closable lid that is transported along the transport path with the lid closed; a second event support that is transported along the transport path with a display device supported thereon; and a control unit, wherein the memory unit stores at least one of images and videos to be used for the event received from the customer in association with the reservation information, and the control unit executes a first event step of opening the lid when the first event support passes the table assigned to the customer based on the seating information stored in the memory unit, and A food and beverage serving system characterized by executing a second event step in which, based on the seat information stored in the memory unit and at least one of the images and videos, when the second event support passes the table assigned to the customer, at least one of an image and a video associated with the first event step is displayed on the display device.

The food and beverage serving system of claim 1 or 2 further comprises an operating device for inputting seating information for the event, and the control unit, as a first step for the event, sets a timer according to the seating information input by the operating device based on the seating information stored in the memory unit, thereby opening the lid when the first support for the event passes the table assigned to the customer.

The food and beverage serving system of claim 1 or 2 further comprises an operating device for inputting seating information for an event, wherein the control unit, as a second step for the event, sets a timer according to the seating information input by the operating device based on the seating information stored in the memory unit, thereby displaying at least one of the image and video on the display device when the second support for the event passes the table assigned to the customer.

10. The food and beverage serving system described in claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the control unit displays images and videos associated with the first step for the event to draw attention to the first support for the event before the lid opens.

11. The food and beverage provision system described in claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the control unit displays images and videos associated with the first step for the event, encouraging the removal of products placed on the first support for the event after the lid is opened.

12. A method for processing an event that takes place on a transport path that passes alongside customer tables and transports a support on which food and drink can be placed, comprising: a step of storing reservation information from a customer in a memory unit; a step of storing in the memory unit seating information relating to a table that will be assigned to the customer when the customer arrives at the restaurant, in association with the reservation information; a step of transporting a first event support having an openable and closable lid along the transport path with the lid closed; a step of transporting a second event support along the transport path with a display device supported thereon; a first event step of opening the lid when the first event support passes the table assigned to the customer, based on the seating information stored in the memory unit; and a second event step of displaying at least one of an image and a video associated with the first event step on the display device when the second event support passes the table assigned to the customer, based on the seating information stored in the memory unit and at least one of an image and a video to be used for the event received from the customer.

13. A control device for a food and drink service system having a transport path that passes alongside customer tables and transports a support on which food and drink can be placed, the control device comprising: a memory unit that stores reservation information from customers, the memory unit storing seating information for a table assigned to the customer at the time the customer visits the store, in association with the reservation information; and a control unit, wherein a first event support having a lid that can be opened and closed and an actuator that opens the lid is transported along the transport path with the lid closed, and a second event support is transported along the transport path while supporting a display device, the control unit controls the actuator to open the lid when the first event support passes the table assigned to the customer based on the seating information stored in the memory unit, and causes the display device to display at least one of an image and a video associated with the first event step when the second event support passes the table assigned to the customer based on the seating information stored in the memory unit and at least one of the image and video.
