Abstract
Description
[0001] DIFFUSER FOR COFFEE DISPENSING ASSEMBLIES DESIGNED
[0002] TO REDUCE THE EMPTY SPACE BETWEEN THE BODY OF THE
[0003] COFFEE DISPENSING ASSEMBLY AND THE FILTER SHOWER TO
[0004] FACILITATE DRYING THE GROUNDS
[0005] The present invention relates to a di f fuser for cof fee dispensing assemblies designed to reduce the empty space between the body of the cof fee dispensing assembly and the filter shower to facilitate drying the grounds .
[0006] Machines for producing and dispensing cof feebased drinks are known in the art , particularly for the professional sector, such as bars , restaurants , hotels and catering, which comprise a hydraulic circuit comprising a boiler, a pump, a cof fee dispensing assembly which can be associated with a filter holder comprising a filter in which the ground cof fee is placed and pressed .
[0007] The ground cof fee is pressed into the filter of the filter holder , which in turn is attached to the cof fee dispensing assembly and then the pump is activated and delivers hot water through a shower, thus obtaining the infusion .
[0008] The resulting cof fee may vary in its organoleptic characteristics depending, for example , on the quantity of ground cof fee used, the degree o f grinding, the amount of pressure used, the time in which water is dispensed .
[0009] To improve the quality of the drink obtained, it is important to obtain optimal drying of the cof fee grounds contained in the filter holder at the end of the dispensing, and to uni form the dispensing of water, avoiding the creation of so-called " channeling" phenomena which can be caused by preferential exits of the water through the shower head, and cause the passage of a large quantity of water in a limited area of the cof fee pad, worsening the quality of the infusion .
[0010] Documents US-A1-2006 / 102012 and US-A1- 2019 / 104881 disclose di f fusers according to the prior art .
[0011] Obj ect of the present invention is solving the above-mentioned prior art problems by providing a dif fuser for cof fee dispensing assemblies which allows the empty space between the body of the cof fee dispensing assembly and the filter shower to be reduced to facilitate drying the grounds and obtain an optimal infusion .
[0012] Another obj ect of the invention is providing a dif fuser for cof fee dispensing assemblies that allows the hot water under pressure to be distributed uni formly over the cof fee pad, maintaining constant the quality of the beverage obtained in the cup .
[0013] The above and other obj ects and advantages of the invention, as will result from the following description, are achieved with a di f fuser for cof fee dispensing assemblies capable of reducing the empty space between the body of the cof fee dispensing assembly and the filter shower head such as that described in the main claim . Preferred embodiments and non-trivial variations of the present invention form the obj ect of the dependent claims .
[0014] It is understood that all attached claims form an integral part of this description .
[0015] It will be immediately obvious that countless variations and modi fications can be made to what i s described ( for example relating to shape , dimensions , arrangements and parts with equivalent functionality) without departing from the scope of the invention as appears from the attached claims .
[0016] The present invention will be better described by some preferred embodiments , provided by way of example and not by way of limitation, with reference to the attached drawings, in which:
[0017] - Figure 1 shows views of the diffuser for coffee dispensing assemblies according to the present invention;
[0018] - Figure 2 shows perspective views of the diffuser for coffee dispensing assemblies according to the present invention;
[0019] - Figure 3 shows a perspective view of a coffee dispensing assembly including a diffuser for coffee dispensing assemblies according to the present invention.
[0020] With reference to the Figures, a preferred embodiment of the diffuser 10 for coffee dispensing assemblies according to the present invention is illustrated and described; the diffuser 10 comprises: a disc-shaped main body 1 comprising a lower channel 2, preferably of circular shape, concentric with the main body 1, formed on a lower surface 5 of the main body 1 facing a shower head 6 of the coffee dispensing assembly 20, said lower channel 2 comprising at least four through holes 8, preferably a plurality of holes 8, uniformly distributed along its length to uniformly distribute hot water under pressure, dispensed by the coffee dispensing assembly 20 through the shower head 6 , over a cof fee pellet contained in a filter .
[0021] The disc-shaped main body 1 further comprises an upper chamber 12 , preferably of a circular shape concentric with the main body 1 , formed on an upper surface 15 of the main body 1 , into which water dispensed by the cof fee dispensing unit 20 is conveyed, said upper chamber 12 comprising within it the through holes 8 .
[0022] The upper chamber 12 further comprises an external wall 18 , of a circular shape concentric with the main body 1 , in correspondence with which the holes 8 are formed, inside the upper chamber 12 .
[0023] The upper chamber 12 preferably has the shape of a circular crown and comprises a circular internal wall 19 inside which a grip knob 22 is formed, preferably in correspondence with the center of the main body 1 , configured to be inserted into a corresponding seat 24 obtained in the cof fee dispensing unit 20 .
[0024] In a preferred embodiment of the di f fuser 10 for cof fee dispensing assemblies of the invention, the lower surface 5 of the main body 1 has a curved shape .
[0025] Advantageously, the cof fee dispensing assembly dif fuser according to the present invention allows reducing the empty space between the body of the cof fee dispensing assembly and the filter shower, to facilitate drying of the grounds and obtain an optimal infusion .
[0026] Another advantage of the cof fee brewing assembly di f fuser of the invention is that it allows hot water under pressure to be distributed evenly over the cof fee pad, maintaining a constant quality of the beverage obtained in the cup .
