Abstract
Description
Paper sheet handling equipment
[0001] The present invention relates to a paper sheet processing apparatus.
[0002] In the past, a paper sheet storage device has been proposed that "stores and processes paper sheets in a paper sheet storage section via a paper sheet transport path, in which an external transport path equipped with a paper sheet storage section can be connected to the internal transport path of the device body" (see, for example, JP 7-267513 A).
[0003] Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 7-267513
[0004] In the paper sheet storage device as described above, the temporary storage section that temporarily stores paper sheets for return or collection and the stacker that stores paper sheets are located inside a single main body. Therefore, in the paper sheet storage device as described above, if a problem such as a paper sheet jam occurs in the temporary storage section, a person other than the manager of the main body (such as a security company) (such as a manager of the location where the paper sheet storage device is installed) cannot resolve the problem inside the main body, and it is necessary to call the manager of the main body to resolve the problem, which is inconvenient.
[0005] An object of the present invention is to provide a paper sheet processing apparatus that can increase convenience as much as possible.
[0006] A paper sheet processing device according to a first aspect of the present invention includes a box body, a temporary storage unit, a first transport unit, and a storage unit. A communication opening is formed in the box body. The temporary storage unit is arranged outside the box body and temporarily stores paper sheets. The first transport unit transports paper sheets stored in the temporary storage unit. The storage unit is arranged inside the box body and stores paper sheets transported by the first transport unit through the communication opening. It is preferable that the paper sheet processing device further includes a second transport unit. The second transport unit is arranged inside the storage unit and transports paper sheets stored in the storage unit toward the communication opening. It is also preferable that the paper sheet processing device further includes a relay unit. The relay unit is fitted into the communication opening and relays transport between the first transport unit and the second transport unit. It is also preferable that the temporary storage unit is incorporated in the input / output processing device, and that the input / output processing device is slidable relative to a top wall portion of the box body.
[0007] According to the above configuration, when a problem such as a paper jam occurs in the temporary holding section, the problem can be resolved by a person (such as a manager of the location where the paper sheet processing device is installed) other than the person in charge of the box (such as a security company), thereby increasing the convenience of this paper sheet processing device as much as possible.

[0010] <Configuration of a Paper Sheet Processing Apparatus According to an Embodiment of the Present Invention> A paper sheet processing apparatus 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention is an apparatus that accepts paper sheets (e.g., banknotes, coupons, tickets, securities, etc.) and dispenses paper sheets as change, etc. As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 , the paper sheet processing apparatus 1 is primarily composed of a safe 100, an entry / exit processing apparatus 200, an outer support unit 300, an inner support unit 400, a replenishment device 500, a recycle-type storage device 600, a collection box 700, a relay component 800, and a control device (not shown). As will be described in more detail below, the paper sheet processing apparatus 1 allows the replenishment device 500 or the recycle-type storage device 600 to be selectively positioned outside or inside the safe 100, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5 . These components are described in detail below.
[0011] 1. The safe 100 has a generally rectangular parallelepiped shape and, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, is primarily composed of a main body 101 and a front door 102. The main body 101 is formed of a top wall AW, a bottom wall BW, a rear wall CW, a left wall DW, and a right wall EW. The top wall AW has a generally rectangular shape in a plan view. As shown in FIG. 3, a communication opening 101a is formed at the rear of the top wall AW. A relay component 800 is fitted into this communication opening 101a, as shown in FIG. 3. The relay component 800 connects a first transport path RO1 located outside the safe 100 with a second transport path RO2 located inside the safe 100, thereby forming a transport path RO. As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the bottom wall BW is located below the top wall AW. The rear wall CW extends from the rear end of the top wall AW to the rear end of the bottom wall BW as shown in Figures 1 to 3. The left wall DW extends from the left end of the top wall AW to the left end of the bottom wall BW as shown in Figure 1. The right wall EW extends from the right end of the top wall AW to the right end of the bottom wall BW as shown in Figures 1 to 3.
[0012] 2 and 3, the front door 102 is connected to the main body 101 via a hinge or the like so as to be able to open and close. When the front door 102 is in a closed state, the front door 102 can be locked so that it cannot be opened.
[0013] 2. Entry / Exit Processing Device As shown in Figures 1 to 3, the entry / exit processing device 200 is located above the ceiling wall AW outside the safe 100, and is mainly composed of an insertion slot 201, a dispensing slot 202, a separation unit (not shown), a transport mechanism 203, a centering unit 204, a recognition unit 205, a temporary holding unit 206, a dispensing / accumulating unit 207, and a left-behind paper sheet storage unit 208. The entry slot 201 is an opening for introducing paper sheets into the entry / exit processing device 200, and can accommodate, for example, up to 30 sheets at a time. The dispensing slot 202 is an opening for dispensing paper sheets from the dispensing / accumulating unit 207, and can accommodate, for example, up to 30 sheets at a time. The separation unit separates the stack of paper sheets set in the entry slot 201 into individual sheets. The conveying mechanism 203 is a mechanism for generating and transmitting driving force for conveying paper sheets along the conveying path RO, and is composed of, for example, a motor, pulleys, belts, etc. The motor can rotate forward and backward and transmits driving force to the pulleys when driven under the control of the control device. There are multiple pulleys, and one pulley is connected to the other pulleys by a belt. The driving force of the motor is transmitted to the belts via the pulleys. The centering unit 204 aligns the conveyed paper sheets to the center in the left-right direction of the conveying path RO. The recognition unit 205 is, for example, an optical sensor or a magnetic sensor, and sends identification information of the paper sheets to the control device. The temporary holding unit 206 can temporarily hold, for example, up to 30 paper sheets, and temporarily holds paper sheets that the control device determines to be acceptable based on the identification information of the recognition unit 205, for example. Furthermore, for example, when acceptance of a paper sheet is confirmed, the temporary holding unit 206 sends the paper sheet to the recycling storage device 600 or the collection box 700 via the transport path RO, and when a return request is made and the paper sheet is to be returned, the temporary holding unit 206 sends the paper sheet to the dispensing / accumulating unit 207. The dispensing / accumulating unit 207 accumulates, for example, paper sheets to be returned sent from the temporary holding unit 206 and paper sheets determined by the control device to be unacceptable based on the identification information of the identification unit 205, and then sends them to the dispensing opening 202. For example, when a paper sheet dispensed from the dispensing opening 202 is not collected after a predetermined time has elapsed, the forgotten paper sheet storage unit 208 stores the paper sheet as a forgotten paper sheet.
[0014] 3. Outer Support Unit The outer support unit 300 is attached to the upper surface of the top wall AW of the safe 100, as shown in Figures 1 to 3. The outer support unit 300 has a slide mechanism (not shown), such as a rail mechanism, and supports the entry / exit processing device 200 so that it can slide forward via the slide mechanism. Note that, as shown in Figures 4 and 5, when the replenishment device 500 or the circulation-type storage device 600 is placed outside the safe 100, the outer support unit 300 supports the device located lowest among these devices.
[0015] That is, for example, in the paper sheet processing apparatus 1 shown in Fig. 4, the recycling type storage apparatus 600 (and the input / output processing apparatus 200 connected to the recycling type storage apparatus 600) can be slid forward via a rail mechanism. Also, in the paper sheet processing apparatus 1 shown in Fig. 5, the replenishing apparatus 500 (and the input / output processing apparatus 200 connected to the replenishing apparatus 500) can be slid forward via a rail mechanism.
[0016] 4. Inner Support Unit The inner support unit 400 is attached to the underside of the top wall AW of the safe 100, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 3. The inner support unit 400 has a sliding mechanism (not shown), such as a rail mechanism, and supports the replenishment device 500 (and the recycling-type storage device 600 and collection box 700 connected to the replenishment device 500) so that they can slide forward via the sliding mechanism. As shown in FIG. 4, when the replenishment device 500 is not incorporated into the paper sheet processing device 1 and the recycling-type storage device 600 is not located inside the safe 100, the inner support unit 400 supports the collection box 700 so that they can slide forward via the sliding mechanism. As shown in FIG. 5, when the replenishment device 500 is not located inside the safe 100 and the recycling-type storage device 600 is located inside the safe 100, the inner support unit 400 supports the recycling-type storage device 600 so that they can slide forward via the sliding mechanism. Also, as shown in Figures 6 and 7, when the replenishment device 500 is not incorporated into the paper sheet processing device 1 and the recirculation storage device 600 is placed inside the safe 100, the inner support part 400 supports the recirculation storage device 600 via a slide mechanism so that it can slide forward.
[0017] That is, for example, in the paper sheet processing apparatus 1 shown in Fig. 4, the collection box 700 can be slid forward via a slide mechanism. Also, in the paper sheet processing apparatus 1 shown in Fig. 5, the recycling-type storage device 600 (and the collection box 700 connected to the recycling-type storage device 600) can be slid forward via a slide mechanism.
[0018] 5. Replenishment Device As shown in FIG. 3 , the replenishing device 500 is primarily composed of a paper feed tray 501 and a conveyance mechanism 502. The paper feed tray 501 is detachably attached to the replenishing device 500 and is primarily composed of three tray pieces, a motor, a drive force transmission mechanism, a first pulley, and the like. Paper sheets are set on the tray pieces by type. A maximum of 40 sheets can be set on one tray piece, for example. The motor can rotate forward and backward, and when driven under the control of the control device, transmits drive force to the first pulley via the drive force transmission mechanism. The first pulley can rotate by transmitting the drive force of the motor via the drive force transmission mechanism. The first pulley is positioned so that its outer circumferential surface contacts the top surface of the paper sheets on the tray piece. When the first pulley rotates due to the drive force of the motor, the paper sheets set on the tray piece can be sent onto the belt of the conveyance mechanism 502. The transport mechanism 502 is a mechanism for generating and transmitting a driving force for transporting paper sheets along the transport path RO, and is composed of, for example, a motor, a second pulley, a belt, etc. The motor is the same as the motor for the paper feed tray 501, and transmits the driving force to the second pulley when driven under the control of the control device. There are multiple second pulleys, and one second pulley is connected to the other second pulleys by a belt. The driving force of the motor is transmitted to the belt via the second pulley.
[0019] The paper sheets set in the tray section of the paper feed tray 501 are sent onto the belt of the conveyance mechanism 502 by the rotation of the first pulley. The paper sheets are then conveyed by the conveyance mechanism 502 into the input / output processing device 200 via the conveyance path RO and identified by the recognition unit 205 of the input / output processing device 200. Paper sheets determined to be usable by the control device based on the identification information of the recognition unit 205 are conveyed to the temporary storage unit 206 and then conveyed from the temporary storage unit 206 via the conveyance path RO to the recycling-type storage device 600 and stored by type. Paper sheets stored in the recycling-type storage device 600 are used, for example, as change. On the other hand, paper sheets determined to be unusable by the control device based on the identification information of the recognition unit 205 are wrapped around the outer peripheral surface of the dispensing / accumulating unit 207 of the input / output processing device 200 and then stored in the collection box 700 from the dispensing / accumulating unit 207 via the conveyance path RO. The presence of this replenishing device 500 eliminates the need to manually store paper sheets by type inside the circulation type storage device 600 when no paper sheets are stored therein.
[0020] The replenishment device 500 can be placed inside the safe 100 as shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 , or can be placed outside the safe 100 as shown in FIG. 5 . In FIGS. 1 to 3 , the transport mechanism 502 of the replenishment device 500 forms a continuous transport mechanism with the transport mechanism 603 of the recycle-type storage device 600, and also forms a continuous transport mechanism with the transport mechanism 203 of the entry / exit processing device 200 via the relay component 800. In FIG. 5 , the transport mechanism 502 of the replenishment device 500 forms a continuous transport mechanism with the transport mechanism 203 of the entry / exit processing device 200, and also forms a continuous transport mechanism with the transport mechanism 603 of the recycle-type storage device 600 via the relay component 800. The replenishment device 500 does not have to be incorporated into the paper sheet processing device 1 as shown in FIGS. 4 , 6 , and 7 . In such a case, paper sheets may be stored in the recycle-type storage device 600 by type, for example, manually. Furthermore, the number of replenishment devices 500 is not particularly limited, and may be one or two or more. In such cases, i) at least one replenishment device 500 is disposed outside the safe 100 and at least one replenishment device 500 is disposed inside the safe 100, ii) all replenishment devices 500 are disposed outside the safe 100, or iii) all replenishment devices 500 are disposed inside the safe 100.
[0021] 6. Recycling-Type Storage Device As shown in FIG. 3 , the recycling-type storage device 600 is mainly composed of a first drum unit 601, a second drum unit 602, a conveying mechanism 603, and the like. The first drum unit 601 and the second drum unit 602 each wrap, for example, up to 60 sheets of paper around their outer peripheries, thereby storing paper sheets inside the recycling-type storage device 600. For example, when it is determined that paper sheets set in the insertion port 201 of the input / output processing device 200 will be accepted, the paper sheets sent from the temporary holding unit 206 of the input / output processing device 200 via the conveying path RO are wrapped around the outer peripheries of the first drum unit 601 and the second drum unit 602. The paper sheets stored inside the recycling-type storage device 600 are dispensed from the dispensing port 202 of the input / output processing device 200 via the conveying path RO, for example, as change. The transport mechanism 603 is a mechanism for generating and transmitting a driving force for transporting paper sheets along the transport path RO. As shown in FIG. 3, it is disposed inside the recycling storage device 600 and is composed of, for example, a motor, pulleys, and belts. The motor can rotate forward and backward, and transmits driving force to the pulleys when driven under the control of the control device. There are multiple pulleys, and one pulley is connected to the other pulleys by a belt. The driving force of the motor is transmitted to the belts via the pulleys.
[0022] The recycle-type storage device 600 can be placed inside the safe 100 as shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 and 5 to 7, or can be placed outside the safe 100 as shown in FIG. 4. In FIGS. 1 to 3, the transport mechanism 603 of the recycle-type storage device 600 forms a transport mechanism continuous with the transport mechanism 502 of the replenishment device 500, and also forms a transport mechanism continuous with the transport mechanism 203 of the input / output processing device 200 via the transport mechanism 502 of the replenishment device 500 and the relay component 800. In FIG. 5, the transport mechanism 603 of the recycle-type storage device 600 forms a transport mechanism continuous with the transport mechanism 203 of the input / output processing device 200 via the relay component 800 and the transport mechanism 502 of the replenishment device 500. In FIG. 4, the transport mechanism 603 of the recycle-type storage device 600 forms a transport mechanism continuous with the transport mechanism 203 of the input / output processing device 200 without the relay component 800. 6 and 7 , the transport mechanism 603 of the circulation type storage device 600 forms a transport mechanism that is continuous with the transport mechanism 203 of the entry / exit processing device 200 via the relay part 800. The number of circulation type storage devices 600 is not particularly limited and may be one or two or more. In such a case, i) at least one circulation type storage device 600 is disposed outside the safe 100 and at least one circulation type storage device 600 is disposed inside the safe 100, ii) all circulation type storage devices 600 are disposed outside the safe 100, or iii) all circulation type storage devices 600 are disposed inside the safe 100.
[0023] 7. Collection Box The collection box 700 is a box or the like for storing paper sheets, and as shown in Figures 1 to 3, is located at the bottom inside the safe 100. The collection box 700 stores, for example, paper sheets that are not used as change, paper sheets stored inside the circulation-type storage device 600, etc.
[0024] 8. Relay Component The relay component 800 is a component having, for example, rollers, and as described above, is fitted into the communication opening 101a in the top wall portion AW of the safe 100. The relay component 800 also relays between the transport path inside the safe 100 and the transport path outside the safe 100.
[0025] 9. Control Device The control device is connected to, for example, the motor of the transport mechanism 203 of the input / output processing device 200, the recognition unit 205 of the input / output processing device 200, the motor of the transport mechanism 502 of the replenishment device 500, the transport mechanism 603 of the circulation type storage device 600, etc., and controls these components. In addition, the control device determines the type and authenticity of paper sheets based on the identification information from the recognition unit 205 of the input / output processing device 200, for example, and determines whether or not the paper sheets can be accepted.
[0026] <Regarding the flow of paper sheets in the paper sheet processing apparatus according to the embodiment of the present invention> Below, using the paper sheet processing apparatus 1 of the configuration shown in Figure 3 as an example, the flow of paper sheets in the paper sheet processing apparatus 1 will be described in the following cases.
[0027] i) The flow of paper sheets when the control device determines that paper sheets set in the insertion slot of the input / output processing device are acceptable The flow of paper sheets at this time will be described with reference to Figure 8. First, when a single paper sheet or a bundle of paper sheets is set in the insertion slot 201 of the input / output processing device 200, the control device drives the motor of the transport mechanism 203 of the input / output processing device 200. This introduces the paper sheets into the input / output processing device 200 via the transport path RO. The bundle of paper sheets is separated into individual sheets by the separator of the input / output processing device 200. The paper sheets are then aligned to the center of the transport path RO in the left-right direction by the centering unit 204 of the input / output processing device 200, and then identified by the recognition unit 205 of the input / output processing device 200. Then, when the control device determines that the paper sheets can be accepted based on the identification information from the identification unit 205 of the input / output processing device 200, they are transported to the temporary holding unit 206 of the input / output processing device 200 and wrapped around the outer surface of the temporary holding unit 206 of the input / output processing device 200 for temporary holding.
[0028] ii) Flow of paper sheets when the control device determines that the paper sheets set in the insertion slot of the input / output processing device are unacceptable The flow of paper sheets at this time will be described with reference to Figure 9. The flow until the paper sheets are identified by the recognition unit 205 of the input / output processing device 200 is as described above. Then, when the control device determines that the paper sheets are unacceptable based on the identification information of the recognition unit 205 of the input / output processing device 200, the paper sheets are transported to the dispensing and stacking unit 207 and wrapped around the outer peripheral surface of the dispensing and stacking unit 207 and stacked. Then, the paper sheets are dispensed from the dispensing slot 202 of the input / output processing device 200. When only one paper sheet is set in the insertion slot 201 of the input / output processing device 200, the paper sheet may be dispensed from the dispensing slot 202 of the input / output processing device 200 without being transported to the dispensing and stacking unit 207 of the input / output processing device 200.
[0029] iii) The flow of paper sheets when they are returned due to a return request will be described with reference to Fig. 10. When a person who has placed paper sheets in the insertion slot 201 of the input / output processing device 200 requests the return of the paper sheets, the paper sheets temporarily held in the temporary holding section 206 of the input / output processing device 200 are transported to the dispensing / accumulating section 207 of the input / output processing device 200, and are wound around the outer peripheral surface of the dispensing / accumulating section 207 of the input / output processing device 200 and accumulated. The paper sheets are then dispensed (returned) from the dispensing slot 202 of the input / output processing device 200.
[0030] iv) The flow of paper sheets when paper sheets dispensed from the dispensing port of the input / output processing device are not collected even after a predetermined time has elapsed The flow of paper sheets at this time will be described with reference to Fig. 11. When a predetermined time has elapsed with paper sheets dispensed from the dispensing port 202 of the input / output processing device 200, the dispensed paper sheets are introduced into the input / output processing device 200 by the transport mechanism 203 of the input / output processing device 200. The paper sheets are then wound around the outer peripheral surface of the dispensing and stacking section 207 of the input / output processing device 200 and stacked, and then transported into the left-behind paper sheet storage section 208 of the input / output processing device 200.
[0031] v) Flow of banknotes when acceptance of paper sheets escrowed in the escrow unit of the deposit / withdrawal processing device is confirmed The flow of paper sheets at this time will be described with reference to Fig. 12. When acceptance of paper sheets escrowed in the escrow unit 206 of the deposit / withdrawal processing device 200 is confirmed, if these paper sheets are to be used as change, for example, they are wound around the outer peripheral surface of the first drum unit 601 or the second drum unit 602 of the recycling type storage device 600 according to their type, and stored inside the recycling type storage device 600. On the other hand, if the paper sheets are not to be used as change, for example, they are stored inside the collection box 700.
[0032] vi) The flow of paper sheets when they are stored inside the recycling type storage device and dispensed from the dispensing opening of the input / output processing device. The flow of paper sheets at this time will be described with reference to Figure 13. For example, when paper sheets stored inside the recycling type storage device 600 are dispensed as change, the paper sheets are transported inside the input / output processing device 200. The paper sheets are then identified by the recognition unit 205 of the input / output processing device 200. When the control device determines that the paper sheets can be dispensed based on the identification information from the recognition unit 205 of the input / output processing device 200, the paper sheets are transported to the temporary holding unit 206 of the input / output processing device 200, where they are wrapped around the outer peripheral surface of the temporary holding unit 206 and temporarily held. The paper sheets are then transported to the dispensing and stacking unit 207 of the input / output processing device 200, where they are wrapped around the outer peripheral surface of the dispensing and stacking unit 207 of the input / output processing device 200 and stacked. The paper sheets are then dispensed from dispensing opening 202 of deposit / withdrawal processing device 200 as, for example, change. On the other hand, if the control device determines that the paper sheets cannot be dispensed based on the identification information from identification unit 205 of deposit / withdrawal processing device 200, the paper sheets are transported to dispensing / accumulating unit 207 and are wound around the outer periphery of dispensing / accumulating unit 207 and accumulated. Then, although not shown, the paper sheets are transported into the interior of safe 100 through communication opening 101a of safe 100 and stored inside collection box 700.
[0033] vii) Regarding the flow of paper sheets stored inside the recycling type storage device when they are collected in a collection box, first, the paper sheets stored inside the recycling type storage device 600 are transported inside the entry / exit processing device 200 (see the arrow to the temporary storage unit 206 of the entry / exit processing device 200 in Figure 13). The paper sheets are then wrapped around the outer surface of the temporary storage unit 206 of the entry / exit processing device 200 and temporarily stored (see Figure 13). Then, as shown in Figure 14, the paper sheets are transported from the temporary storage unit 206 of the entry / exit processing device 200 through the communication port 101a of the safe 100 into the inside of the safe 100 and stored inside the collection box 700.
[0034] viii) Regarding the flow of paper sheets stored inside the replenishment device 500 when they are stored inside the recycle-type storage device via the temporary storage unit of the entry / exit processing device, first, the paper sheets set in the tray piece of the paper feed tray 501 of the replenishment device 500 are sent onto the belt of the conveyance mechanism 502 as the first pulley rotates by the driving force of the motor. These paper sheets are then conveyed by the conveyance mechanism 502 through the communication port 101a of the safe 100 into the entry / exit processing device 200. These paper sheets are then identified by the recognition unit 205 of the entry / exit processing device 200. Paper sheets that are determined to be usable by the control device based on the identification information of the recognition unit 205 are then conveyed to the temporary storage unit 206 of the entry / exit processing device 200, and then wrapped around the outer peripheral surface of the temporary storage unit 206 of the entry / exit processing device 200. The paper sheets are then transported from temporary holding unit 206 of deposit / withdrawal processing device 200 through communication port 101a of safe 100 into the interior of safe 100. Thereafter, the paper sheets are wrapped around the outer periphery of first drum unit 601 or second drum unit 602 of recycle-type storage device 600 according to their type, and stored inside recycle-type storage device 600. On the other hand, paper sheets that are determined to be unusable by the control device based on the identification information of identification unit 205 are transported to dispensing / accumulating unit 207 of deposit / withdrawal processing device 200, and then wrapped around the outer periphery of dispensing / accumulating unit 207. The paper sheets are then transported from dispensing / accumulating unit 207 through communication port 101a of safe 100 into the interior of safe 100. Thereafter, the paper sheets are stored inside collection box 700.
[0035] <Features of the Paper Sheet Processing Device According to the Present Embodiment> (1) In the paper sheet processing device 1 according to the present embodiment, the temporary holding unit 206 of the deposit / withdrawal processing device 200 is arranged outside the safe 100. The collection box 700 is arranged inside the safe 100, and the circulation-type storage device 600 can be arranged inside the safe 100. Therefore, in this paper sheet processing device 1, if a problem such as a paper sheet jam occurs in the temporary holding unit 206 of the deposit / withdrawal processing device 200, even a person (such as a manager of the location where the paper sheet processing device 1 is installed) other than the manager inside the safe 100 (such as a security company) can resolve the problem. Therefore, this paper sheet processing device 1 can increase convenience as much as possible.
[0036] (2) In the paper sheet processing device 1 according to this embodiment, the device supported by the outer support part 300 can be slid forward by the slide mechanism. Therefore, in this paper sheet processing device 1, even in a situation where the devices outside the safe 100 (such as the entry / exit processing device 200, the replenishment device 500, and the circulation-type storage device 600) are covered by a wall or the like except for their front portions, the device can be slid forward to resolve problems such as paper sheet jams.
[0037] <Modifications> (A) In the paper sheet processing device 1 according to the previous embodiment, for example, up to 30 sheets could be loaded into the insertion slot 201 of the input / output processing device 200 at a time. Furthermore, the dispensing slot 202 of the input / output processing device 200 could dispense up to 30 sheets at a time. Furthermore, the temporary storage unit 206 of the input / output processing device 200 could temporarily store up to 30 sheets. Furthermore, the first drum unit 601 and the second drum unit 602 of the circulation-type storage device 600 could each wrap up to 60 sheets around their outer peripheries. Furthermore, the tray piece of the paper feed tray 501 of the refill device 500 could load up to 40 sheets, for example. However, these maximum numbers of sheets that can be handled by these components are merely examples, and any number of sheets may be handled.
[0038] (B) In the paper sheet processing device 1 according to the previous embodiment, the front door 102 of the safe 100 can be opened and closed. However, instead of the front door 102 of the safe 100, any one of the bottom wall BW, rear wall CW, left wall DW, and right wall EW may be opened and closed.
[0039] (C) In the paper sheet processing device 1 according to the previous embodiment, when acceptance of paper sheets temporarily held in the temporary holding section 206 of the input / output processing device 200 is confirmed, the paper sheets are stored inside the recycling-type storage device 600 or the recovery box 700. However, the paper sheets may also be transported to and stored inside the refill device 500.
[0040] (D) In the paper sheet processing device 1 according to the previous embodiment, the collection box 700 was a box for storing paper sheets. However, the shape or form of the collection box 700 is not particularly limited as long as it can store paper sheets, and it may be, for example, a bag.
[0041] (E) In the sheet processing device 1 according to the previous embodiment, sheets set in the tray pieces of the sheet feed tray 501 of the refill device 500 are stored inside the recycling-type storage device 600 via the temporary storage unit 206 of the input / output processing device 200. However, these sheets may be stored directly inside the recycling-type storage device 600 without going through the temporary storage unit 206 of the input / output processing device 200.
[0042] (F) In the paper sheet processing device 1 according to the previous embodiment, the recycling-type storage device 600 includes two drum units. However, the recycling-type storage device 600 may include only one drum unit, or may include three or more drum units.
[0043] (G) In the paper sheet processing apparatus 1 according to the previous embodiment, the device supported by the outer support unit 300 can slide forward using a slide mechanism. However, the device supported by the outer support unit 300 may also be slidable in a direction other than forward (for example, backward, left, right, etc.). In such a case, it is necessary to provide a space for the device to move at least in the direction of the sliding movement.
[0044] (H) In the paper sheet processing apparatus 1 according to the previous embodiment, the device supported by the inner support unit 400 can slide forward by the slide mechanism. However, the device supported by the inner support unit 400 may also be slidable in a direction other than forward (for example, backward, left, right, etc.). In such a case, it is necessary to provide a movement space for the device at least in the sliding movement direction.
[0045] (I) In the paper sheet processing apparatus 1 according to the previous embodiment, the paper feed tray 501 of the refilling device 500 has three tray segments. However, the number of tray segments of the paper feed tray 501 of the refilling device 500 is not particularly limited, and may be, for example, one, two, four or more.
[0046] The above-described modifications may be applied singly or in combination.
