Abstract
Description
Push nuts for panels
[0001] The present invention relates to a push nut, and more particularly, to a push nut for a panel that can fix a panel of various thicknesses, such as a thin panel having a thickness of 1 mm, during a preliminary fastening process, thereby preventing the push nut and the panel from being twisted during the actual fastening process.
[0002] In general, a push nut is an intermediate component that blocks the microscopic gaps that occur between fasteners and materials when connecting materials or mounting parts using fasteners such as screws, thereby achieving the effects of dustproofing, soundproofing, and waterproofing.
[0003] Fig. 1 is a cross-sectional view of a conventional fixed clip fastening state, and Fig. 2 is a cross-sectional view of the fixed clip of Fig. 1 fastened with a screw.
[0004] As shown, a conventional fixed clip is known to have a structure in which a base (2), a block (3) having joints (3a, 3b) and a nut (4) form a single plastic molded body, and the base (2) has a body (2b) formed in the center of a wide head (2a) that can come into contact with the outer surface of a trim (T), and a hole (6) formed in the middle of the head (2a) and the body (2b) into which a screw (5) can be inserted.
[0005] However, the conventional fixing clip as above had a problem in that the assembly part was twisted when screwing because it could not fix the panel in a pre-fastened state.
[0006] Fig. 3 is a perspective view of another conventional push nut, and Fig. 4 is a cross-sectional view of the push nut of Fig. 3.
[0007] As shown in the drawing, a conventional push nut is composed of a head portion (110) formed by protruding a contact surface (111) on both the left and right sides, and a fastening hole (112) formed through the center portion; and a body portion (120) formed by penetrating a fastening hole (121) having the same center and inner diameter as the fastening hole (112) formed in the head portion (110), and the body portion (120) and the head portion (110) are known to be connected by a connecting bridge (160) that elastically deforms outward according to the fastening amount of a fastening product such as a screw.
[0008] However, the conventional push nut as above has the problem that although it is possible to fix the panel in a pre-fastened state, it can only be used on panels of a certain thickness.
[0009] Figure 5 is a perspective view and a cross-sectional view of another conventional push nut.
[0010] As shown, the screw fastening part of the conventional push nut is in the shape of a '+', so the area covering the screw thread is small, which causes a problem of low residual torque and low screw breaking torque, and a problem of requiring a separate push nut for each panel thickness because the hooking amount is small and the panel absorption range is small.
[0011] Figure 6 is a partial cross-sectional view and a partial perspective view of another conventional push nut.
[0012] As shown, the conventional push nut has a fastening portion provided at the top of the hinge portion, and is configured to prevent assembly and play by utilizing buckling of the anchor portion. However, since the counterpart must have a thickness of 2.5 mm or more, there was a problem that it was difficult to apply to thin panels.
[0013] Meanwhile, as prior art related to push nuts, there are Republic of Korea Utility Model Registration No. 20-0177911 (announced on April 15, 2000) and Republic of Korea Patent Registration No. 10-2141902 (announced on August 6, 2020).
[0014] The present invention is intended to solve the above-mentioned problem, and to provide a push nut for a panel that can fix a panel of various thicknesses, such as a thin panel having a thickness of 1 mm, during a preliminary fastening process and prevent the push nut and the panel from being twisted during the actual fastening process.
[0015] The push nut for a panel of the present invention comprises a body having a shape of a container having a constant thickness, a head having a structure protruding downward on the bottom surface of the body and having a fastening hole provided in the center, a contact portion having a shape of a plate, and a connecting leg connecting the body and the contact portion and forming a constant gap with the head, wherein the body has a cross-section having a square or circular shape corresponding to a square or circular through hole formed in the panel and the counterpart, and includes a protruding connecting portion provided in a protruding structure in the center of the bottom surface of the head, and is characterized in that an elastic portion is provided in a sunken shape in the center of the upper surface of the contact portion.
[0016] In addition, the cross-section of the protruding joint has a rectangular shape, the elastic part has a rectangular sunken structure, a downwardly inclined surface having a downwardly narrowing slope structure is provided on the outer surface of the protruding joint, and an upwardly inclined surface is provided on the inner surface of the sunken elastic part in a shape that widens upward, and the 'downward inclination angle' of the downward inclination surface and the 'upward inclination angle' of the upward inclination surface are the same.
[0017] In addition, the central portion of the connecting bridge is provided with an anchor portion having a '<' shape that spreads outward, and the protruding connecting portion is provided in an overlapping state inserted into the sunken elastic portion at a certain depth.
[0018] The present invention has the effect of preventing the push nut and panel from being twisted during the actual fastening by fixing panels of various thicknesses, such as thin panels having a thickness of 1 mm, during the preliminary fastening process.
[0019] In addition, the anchor part, connecting bridge, and contact part are buckled to fix the panel in a pre-fastened state, thereby preventing movement.
[0020] Additionally, since the anchor section deforms and compresses the panel, it has the effect of fixing panels of various thicknesses and preventing them from flowing.

[0038] Hereinafter, specific embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
[0039] Fig. 7 is a front view of the push nut of the present invention, Fig. 8 is an elastic deformation diagram of the push nut, Fig. 9 is an operating state diagram of the push nut, Fig. 10 is a partial cross-sectional perspective view of a state in which a screw is coupled to the push nut, and Fig. 11 is a state diagram in which a screw is coupled to the push nut.
[0040] As shown, the push nut (100) of the present invention includes a body (110), a contact portion (120), a connecting bridge (130), and an overlap (t).
[0041] The body (110) has a shape of a body having a constant thickness, and an inclined surface (114) that narrows upwards is formed on the outer surface, so that it can be easily fitted and combined into a through hole formed in a panel (P) and a counterpart, and includes a head portion (111), a protruding joint portion (112), and a downward inclined surface (113).
[0042] It goes without saying that the body (110) as above can be structured to have a cross-section having a square or circular shape to correspond to the square or circular through-hole formed in the panel (P) and the counterpart.
[0043] The above head (111) has a structure that protrudes downward from the central bottom surface of the body (110), and has a fastening hole (H) provided in the center so that a screw can be fastened, thereby having the function of reinforcing the body (110) and a structure to which a screw (S) can be fastened.
[0044] The above protruding joint (112) is provided as a protruding structure at the center of the bottom surface of the head (111), and is fitted and connected to the elastic part (121) of a sunken shape provided in the contact part (120) described later by the fastening force of the screw (S).
[0045] The cross-section of the above protruding joint (112) has a square shape, so by being inserted into the elastic part (121) that is sunken in a square shape, it is possible to prevent the protruding joint (112) from being twisted by the rotational force of the screw (S).
[0046] That is, it can have a function of preventing the head (111) and body (110) connected to the protruding joint (112) from being twisted by the rotational force of the screw (S).
[0047] The above downward slope (113) has a slope structure that narrows downward on the outer surface of the protruding joint (112), and is aligned with the upward slope (122) formed in the elastic member (121) described later by sliding contact.
[0048] It goes without saying that the 'downward slope angle' of the downward slope (113) as above and the 'upward slope angle' of the upward slope (122) of the elastic part (121) are the same.
[0049] The contact portion (120) has the shape of a plate having a constant thickness, is fitted into a through hole formed in the panel (P) and the counterpart, and includes an elastic portion (121) and an upwardly inclined surface (122).
[0050] It goes without saying that the above-mentioned contact portion (120) may have a square plate shape or a circular plate shape according to the shape of the through hole formed in the panel (P) and the counterpart.
[0051] The above elastic part (121) is provided in a sunken shape in the center of the upper surface of the contact part (120), so that the protruding connecting part (112) of the head part (111) is fitted and connected by the fastening force of the screw (S), and when the panel (P) is connected by the screw (S), the outer surface of the contact part (120) is buckled upward at a certain angle by the sunken elastic part (121), so that even a panel (P) having a thickness of about 1 mm can be tightly connected.
[0052] It goes without saying that the elastic part (121) as above has a rectangular sunken structure.
[0053] The above upward slope (122) is provided in a shape that expands upward on the inner surface of the sunken elastic portion (121), so that the downward slope (113) formed on the protruding joint portion (112) of the head portion (111) is aligned by sliding contact by the fastening force of the screw (S).
[0054] The connecting bridge (130) connects the body (110) and the contact portion (120), and forms a certain gap with the head portion (111), thereby providing an effect that enables elasticity and deformation. An anchor portion (131) is provided at the center of the connecting bridge (130).
[0055] The above anchor portion (131) has a '<' shape that spreads outward from the central portion of the connecting bridge (130), thereby providing elasticity.
[0056] That is, when the screw (S) is fastened to the head (111), the anchor part (131) elastically buckles to fix the panel (P), thereby preventing the panel (P) from moving.
[0057] The overlap (t) is provided in a state where the protruding connecting portion (112) is inserted into the sunken elastic portion (121) at a certain depth, and the push nut (100) having such a structure prevents twisting due to tapping resistance when the screw (S) is fastened, and thus prevents rotation beyond a certain angle by having an overlapping (t) structure in which the protruding connecting portion (112) is inserted into the elastic portion (121) to a certain extent, and has a function of correcting the position of the push nut (100) by having the downward slope (113) of the protruding connecting portion (112) slide into and be inserted into the upward slope (122) of the elastic portion (121).
[0058] If we look at the operating relationship of the push nut above,
[0059] When a push nut (100) is inserted into a panel (P) and fastened with a screw (S), the connecting leg (130) of the push nut (100) is compressed and elastically deformed outward by the anchor portion (131), and the contact portion (120) is also buckled and elastically deformed upward with the sunken elastic portion (121) as a fulcrum, so that even a thin panel (P) can be easily fixed to a counterpart.
[0060] The present invention as described above has the effect of preventing the push nut and the panel from being twisted during the actual fastening process by fixing panels of various thicknesses, such as thin panels having a thickness of 1 mm, during the temporary fastening process; the effect of preventing movement by fixing the panel in the temporary fastening state by buckling the anchor portion, connecting bridge, and contact portion; and the effect of preventing movement by fixing panels of various thicknesses by deforming the anchor portion and compressing the panel.
