Abstract
Description
[0001] 2024 / 330
[0002] A RETAINING BRACKET FOR HOLDING CONDUITS
[0003] This invention relates to a retaining bracket to prevent lateral and transverse movement of conduits such as electrical wiring and fluid piping.
[0004] The conduits in the devices where water, oil, fuel, gas and similar fluids are used are produced from plastic, metal, ceramic and similar materials in various diameters and sizes according to the area of use. Conduits are fixed to rigid structures such as floor, ceiling, and side walls and to each other so that they can function without being affected by external factors. In addition, both sound and vibration occur in conduits through which fluids pass. In the state of the art, the retaining brackets are used to perform the fastening or fixing process. One part of the retaining bracket is attached to the conduit so that it partially or completely encloses the conduit, and the other part is attached to the place where the retaining bracket will be fixed.
[0005] In the state of the art, retaining brackets, which are used especially for fixing conduits through which fluid flows, are produced from the same material as the conduit and are fixed on the conduit by ultrasonic welding method after being attached to the conduit. In this embodiment, which is in the state of the art, ultrasonic welding process is applied along the contact surfaces of the conduit and the holding part of the retaining bracket. In this case, in case of a break down, it is not possible to separate the conduit from the retaining bracket without damaging the conduit partially or completely.
[0006] In the state of the art United States of America Patent Application no US2017184223, a retaining bracket comprising at least one conduit holding part which has an opening for receiving at least one conduit said retaining bracket comprising one slot on the conduit holding part and one insert placed into each slot. 2024 / 330
[0007] In the state of the art International Patent Application no WO2022150021 , a retaining bracket comprises at least one conduit holding part which has an opening for receiving at least one conduit, at least one slot on the conduit holding part and at least one insert placed into each slot and connected on the outer surface of the conduit during the fixing of the retaining bracket on the conduits.
[0008] In the state of the art European Patent Application no EP3575655 a retaining bracket comprising one conduit holding pat which has an opening for receiving one conduit, the retaining bracket comprising one slot on the conduit part, insert placed into each slot, said insert being weldable on the outer surface of the conduit to assure the fixing of the retaining bracket on the conduits.
[0009] The aim of the present invention is the realization of a retaining bracket to provide correct fixing of the retaining bracket on the conduits and to prevent lateral and transverse movement of conduits such as electrical wiring and fluid piping.

[0022] The following numerals are assigned to different parts demonstrated in the drawings and referred to in the present detailed description of the invention:
[0023] 1 . Retaining bracket
[0024] 2. Conduit holding part
[0025] 3. Locking element
[0026] 4. Insert
[0027] 5. Opening
[0028] 6. Conduit
[0029] 7. Protrusion
[0030] The retaining bracket (1 ) of the present invention comprises at least one conduit holding part (2) which is in “U” or “C” form and has an opening (5) for receiving at least one conduit (6), two locking elements (3) located parallel to each other at both ends of the conduit holding part (2) and at least one insert (4) placed into locking elements (3) and connected on the outer surface of the conduit (6) during the fixing of the retaining bracket (1 ) on the conduits (6) (Figure 1 , Figure 2, Figure 3). 2024 / 330
[0031] In the retaining bracket (1 ) of the present invention, the material of the conduit (6) and the insert (4) are the same. The conduits (6) and the conduit holding part (2) can be made of the same or different material. The conduit (6) and the insert (4) of the same material is sufficient for the welding process. Also, with the present invention, the alignment of the retaining bracket (1 ) on the conduit (6) is provided during the fixing process.
[0032] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the retaining bracket (1 ) and the insert (4) are made of plastic especially a hard and rigid plastic material.
[0033] In an embodiment of the invention, the conduit holding part (2) is adapted to receive and hold especially tubular conduits (6). In a prefer embodiment of the invention, the conduit holding part (2) is formed of tight fit clips.
[0034] In an embodiment of the invention, the bottom surface of the insert (4) is compatible with the outer surface of the conduit (6). Preferably, the bottom surface of the insert (4) is concave. When the insert (4) is placed into the locking elements (3), the entire bottom surface of the insert (4) is in full contact with the outer surface of the conduit (6) and further the insert (4) fits fully into the locking elements (3) and in this case does not form any protrusion (7) on the top of the conduit holding part (2) when the fixing process is completed (Figure 4, Figure 5, Figure 6).
[0035] In an embodiment of the invention, the bottom surface of the insert (4) is serrated. Accordingly, the insert (4) would have a good grip on the outer surface of the conduit (6).
[0036] In an embodiment of the invention, the retaining bracket (1 ) is in “U” form. In this embodiment of the invention, locking elements (3) are indentations in “L” form at both ends of the conduit holding part (2) and the length of the 2024 / 330 insert (4) is at least equal these locking elements (3). In this embodiment of the invention, height of the indentation is equal the height of the insert (4).
[0037] In an embodiment of the invention, the retaining bracket (1 ) is in “U” form. In this embodiment of the invention, locking elements (3) are in slit form at both ends of the conduit holding part (2). Moreover, the insert (4) comprises two protrusions (7) both sides of the insert (4) which is entered in the locking elements (3) which is in slit form. In this embodiment sectional form of protrusions (7) are triangle (Figure 7, Figure 8, Figure 9, Figure 10, Figure 11 , Figure 12).
[0038] In all the embodiment of the invention, the fixing method is welding especially ultrasonic welding.
