Abstract
Use of artesunate in the preparation of a medicament for preventing and treating anemia. In vitro experiments have shown that artesunate can enhance the iron transport function of the DMT1 protein to increase iron ion uptake. In addition, animal experiments have demonstrated that artesunate can significantly improve anemia symptoms in mice with iron-deficiency anemia, effectively restore anemia-related indicators, and even restore the iron content in red blood cells and the liver to a healthy level.
