Abstract
A heat shrinkable label (1) is suitable for being attached to a container (4) in close contact with the container (4) by thermally shrinking by being blasted by a first hot air containing water vapor and a second hot air having a lower water vapor content than the first hot air in this order. The heat shrinkable label (1) comprises a polyester resin film or a multilayer film in which a first polyester resin layer, a polystyrene resin layer, and a second polyester resin layer are stacked in the stated order, and satisfies the requirements (1) to (4). (1) The shrinkage ratio in the width direction after 10 seconds of immersion in a hot water bath at 60°C is 1% or less. (2) The shrinkage ratio in the width direction after 10 seconds of immersion in a hot water bath at 70°C is 10% or less. (3) The shrinkage ratio in the width direction after 10 seconds of immersion in a hot water bath at 100°C is 50% or more. (4) The shrinkage ratio in the width direction after 7 days of storage in an atmosphere at a temperature of 55°C or after 1 day of storage in an atmosphere at a temperature of 55°C and a humidity of 30%, followed by 6 days of storage in an atmosphere at a temperature of 40°C and a humidity of 90% is 0.5% or less.
