[0004] The present invention relates to a roof lifting system used in vehicles referred to as trailers in road transport.

[0007] A trailer is a road vehicle that is towed by a motor vehicle through a connecting element and is used for the transportation of loads. Various loads of different volumes and characteristics are carried on trailers. When the dimensions (height) of the transported loads do not fit into trailers, the height of the trailer roofs can be adjusted according to the load. For this purpose, height-adjustable roof systems are used.

[0008] Trailer roofs are generally mounted on posts erected on the four comers. In addition, in commercial vehicle roofs, a frame is often installed around the roof, which restricts the loading height in proportion to the actual loading height. Therefore, height- adjustable roof systems with stepwise adjustable heights have been designed to lift the roof.

[0009] The roof height adjustment mechanisms used in the state of the art generally change the roof height by applying lifting force from the roof comers to the roof. In the existing art, this force is provided by a mechanical system. Mechanical lifting mechanisms, for example, are made of a threaded shaft that can be actuated by a lever and has a nut on it. Furthermore, there are also mechanical drive mechanisms actuated by a crank lever. In these mechanisms, there is a hinged handle on the lever arm. In such systems, pulleys are also used as a drive mechanism. [0010] In order to eliminate the disadvantages listed above in the state of the art, the product described in the patent document entitled “Roof Lifting Mechanism in Commercial Vehicles” with registration number “TR 2019 11904” has been designed. Examination of this product reveals that it is also a mechanical lifting system, comprising a guide with a movement element connected to the roof on the side facing the roof and moving vertically, and a drive mechanism that can be driven by a crank arm between said movement element and the crank arm.

[0011] As a result, the existence of the above problems and the inadequacy of the existing solutions have made it necessary to make a development in the technical field related to mechanisms that adjust the roof height of trailers.

[0013] The present invention relates to a hydraulic roof height adjustment mechanism that meets the requirements mentioned above, eliminates all disadvantages, and provides additional advantages.

[0014] The main aim of the present invention is to provide a hydraulic roof height adjustment mechanism which, instead of mechanical systems, comprises a hydraulically driven system placed on the corner posts of the trailer and a slide driven by said hydraulic power to adjust the roof height, and which ensures, during the lowering phase, that the hydraulic structure is lowered without damaging the roof and the system by releasing the fluid pressure through a release lever. Another aim of the invention is to provide extra safety against unwanted backward movement by having the slide rest on pins positioned in pin slots formed at certain intervals on the lower body of the mechanism.

[0040] The hydraulic roof height adjustment mechanism (A) that is the subject of the invention essentially comprises a lower body (5) and an upper body (4), which are positioned in alignment with each other at a certain distance between them, a slide (1 ) that can move vertically and is connected at its upper part to the roof connection part (8) by means of a slide upper connection part (7), and at its lower part to the hydraulic system (3) by means of a slide lower connection part (2), a hydraulic system (3) that provides the drive for the movement of said slide (1 ), and a roof connection part (8) providing the connection between the roof and the mechanism (Figure 2). The connection between the slide (1 ) and the hydraulic system (3) is provided by the slide lower connection part (2). Again, the connection between the slide (1 ) and the roof connection part (8) is provided by the slide upper connection part (7). The roof connection part (8) is preferably fixed to the roof by welding.

CLAIMS1. The hydraulic roof lifting system (A) used in vehicles referred to as trailers in road transport, comprising:• a lower body (5) and an upper body (4) which are positioned in alignment with each other at a certain distance, inside which the slide (1 ) moves vertically (up and down), characterised by comprising:• at least one slide (1 ) which, connected at its upper part to the roof connection part (8) by means of the slide upper connection part (7) and at its lower part to the hydraulic system (3) by means of the slide lower connection part (2), moves vertically with the drive received from the hydraulic system (3) and thereby raises and lowers the roof,• a hydraulic system (3) comprising a hydraulic body (3.1 ) to which all elements are connected, a lifting lever (3.2) by means of which the user pressurises the hydraulic fluid by applying mechanical action, at least one hydraulic cylinder (3.4) that moves vertically with hydraulic pressure and pushes the slide (1 ), and a release lever (3.3) which, by releasing the hydraulic system (3), enables the hydraulic cylinders (3.4) to move in the opposite direction and allows the roof to descend.

2. The hydraulic roof lifting system (A) of claim 1 , characterised by comprising at least one pin slot (5.1 ) formed at certain intervals on said lower body (5).

3. The hydraulic roof lifting system (A) of claim 1 or claim 2, characterised by comprising at least one safety pin (6) which, when the roof reaches the desired position, is inserted into the suitable one of the pin slots (5.1 ) (in a way that contacts the lower end of the slide) so as to prevent undesired backward lowering movement.
