The catheter of claim 2, wherein the component core is a removable mandrel which includes formations to maintain components in place and indicators to indicate where the one or more conductive traces are on the flexible circuit prior to ablation, and wherein an inner surface of the liner is lubricious to facilitate removal of the removable mandrel.
4. The catheter of claim 2, further comprising: pull wires; and an anchor ring on the liner, wherein the anchor ring is connected to the pull wires, and wherein the liner, the pull wires, and the anchor ring form a steerable sheath for the catheter.
5. The catheter of claim 4, wherein a thickness of the liner at certain portions is varied to control a degree of steerability of the steerable sheath.
6. The catheter of claim 2, wherein the liner further comprising: an optical fiber to carry light.
7. The catheter of claim 1, wherein the component core is a memory metal.
8. The catheter of claim 1, wherein the component core is a catheter core and wherein theAttorney Docket No. JABIN-120-B-WO catheter core can be at least one of hollow, partially hollow, solid, single lumen, multi -lumen, multi-layered, or multi-layered with multiple printed electronics layers.
9. The catheter of claim 8, wherein layers of the multi-layered with multiple printed electronics layers are connected using vias.
10. The catheter of claim 1, wherein the flexible circuit further comprising: one or more more sensors.
11. The catheter of claim 1 , further comprising: one or more surface-mount technology components attached to the one or more conductive traces.
12. The catheter of claim 1, wherein the flexible circuit further comprising: an optical fiber to carry light.
13. A method for manufacturing a catheter comprising: wrapping a flexible circuit around a component core, the flexible circuit including at least one or more conductive traces; wrapping an encapsulation layer around the flexible circuit; ablating the encapsulation layer to expose one or more conductive trace areas of the at least one or more conductive traces; and connecting one or more electrodes to the one or more conductive trace areas to form the catheter.
14. The method of claim 13, further comprising: wrapping a liner around the component core.
15. The method of claim 14, wherein the component core is a mandrel and the method further comprising: removing the component core after formation of the catheter, wherein an inner surface of the liner is lubricious to facilitate removal of the mandrel.
16. The method of claim 14, further comprising:Attorney Docket No. JABIN-120-B-WO providing the liner with an anchor ring; and connecting pull wires to the anchor ring to form a steerable sheath for the catheter.
17. The method of claim 16, further comprising: vary ing a thickness of the liner at certain portions to control a degree of steerability of the steerable sheath.
18. The method of claim 13, further comprising: connecting a cap electrode to the one or more conductive trace areas.
