Communication method and communication apparatus

Abstract

A communication method and a communication apparatus. The method is applied to a first communication device or a chip in the first communication device. The method comprises: sending a first request message, wherein the first request message is used for discovering at least one edge enabler entity; receiving a first response message, wherein the first response message is a response message of the first request message, and the first response message comprises information of the at least one edge enabler entity, the at least one edge enabler entity comprising a first edge enabler entity, there being a transmission link between a non-terrestrial network (NTN) device where the first edge enabler entity is located and a first NTN device, and the first NTN device being an NTN device accessed by a first communication device; and determining the first edge enabler entity on the basis of the first response message. In a scenario in which an edge enabler entity is deployed on an NTN device, an edge enabler entity that can provide a service can be discovered for a first communication device.
