Optical fiber termination unit

Abstract

The Fiber Termination Unit (FTU) consists of two components; the bottom part is a fiber tray with multiple entry points, two wall mount openings, a splice holder, zip-tie holders, hooks for fiber routing and coiling, and an optical connector holder; the top part serves as a protective cover for the fiber and is attached to the bottom part and secured with two screws; it features three guide rails for sliding and securing the Optical Network Device in place with a latch; to remove the device, the latch must be pressed again; reproduction 1.4 is a partial disassembled view showing the bottom part of the Fiber Termination Unit; reproduction 1.5 shows the Fiber Termination Unit in use with an Optical Network Device attached, is for reference purposes only and forms no part of the claimed design.
