Claims
This disclosure relates to a food composition that includes docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) for use in a method of treating and / or preventing a chronic inflammatory joint disease in a companion animal, in particular a canine or feline, in need, wherein the mass ratio of EPA and DHA is approximately 0.2:1 to approximately 1:1, and the total amount of EPA and DHA is approximately 0.1 g / Mcal to approximately 20 g / Mcal.
