Description
1 / 3 Empanada-making machine with attached electromagnet device.
[001] Empanada making machine with attached electromagnet device, currently, in the food market for the production of food for consumption, especially baked empanadas, we have the application of a completely manual production.
[002] Both when producing the dough and when shaping the pie and adding the filling, we have a procedure that, because it is manual, ends up causing several problems to the final product.
[003] Usually the product ends up with thicker, uneven edges and after being baked in the proper mold, it ends up crumbling completely.
[004] Therefore, we have an unsatisfactory end result from a commercial point of view, namely, there is a great waste of dough, which unnecessarily needs to have a very large border, and also the fact that it breaks when it comes out of the mold.
[005] Thinking about solving this problem and making the production of pies much more industrializable and capable of being applied on a large scale, we thought of a device that could be applied to the manufacturing process that would make it better, more profitable and tastier for the end consumer.
[006] In this way, a two-stage machine was created for the production of pies where all production steps could be applied in a standard and simple way.
[007] In stage 1 of production, we place the dough on the tray and send it to the press (figure 1), we connect the electromagnet to a power source, the tray is positioned above the electromagnet and the dough is ready to be pressed, at the same moment the upper part of the device (figure 1; number 6) is heated to a temperature of 100° Celsius by a resistor coupled to the assembly and when activated by a lever, the press descends. Petition 870250070703, dated 11 / 08 / 2025, page 3 / 10 2 / 3 and forces the dough against the walls of the mold; at this moment, the force exerted by the electromagnet on the assembly prevents the molds from sticking to the press, maintaining their initial position and avoiding wasting dough, thus automating the first process.
[008] After the first pressing, the filling is placed in the dough.
[009] After the filling, we enter stage 2 of the manufacturing process where the second machine comes into action to close the pies (figure 2), and in the same way as stage 1, with the electromagnet on, a layer of dough is placed above the molds with the dough pressed and filled, we activate the lever and in this way the group of pies is closed.
[010] The electromagnet applied in stage 2 also prevents the molds from rising after closing, thus avoiding waste and preventing the dough from breaking.
[011] After the two stages the pie is ready to go into the oven and after that it can be frozen for later consumption or even consumed immediately.
[012] One of the great improvements we have when applying this process to the manufacture of pies is that we can reduce the thickness of the dough to as little as 2 millimeters, making the pie much tastier.
[013] In conclusion, to allow for a better visualization of the machine and its electromagnet device, we have included in figure 3 a picture of it without the trays, demonstrating how the electromagnet is positioned.
[014] Presentation of the figures:
[015] Figure 1, the machine is prepared for pressing the dough, pressing device (number 1), pie molds (number 2), lever fitting for operating the machine (number 3), sliding rods (number 4), machine base where the electromagnet is positioned (number 5), plate heated by electrical resistance coupled to the assembly (number 6).
[016] Figure 2, the machine is prepared for the pie to be sealed, flat base for closing the pie (number 1), pie molds Petition 870250070703, dated 11 / 08 / 2025, page 4 / 10 3 / 3 with dough and filling (number 2), machine base where the electromagnet is positioned (number 3), lever fitting for operating the machine (number 4), sliding rods (number 5), plate heated by an electric resistance coupled to the assembly (number 6).
[017] Figure 3, the machine is without the pressing and closing devices allowing a better visualization of the electromagnets and their arrangement on the base (number 1), flat base for closing the pie (number 2), fitting of the lever for operating the machine (number 3), sliding rods (number 4), base of the machine where the electromagnet is positioned (number 5), plate heated by electrical resistance coupled to the assembly (number 6).
