AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing connectors for profiles such as open U-profiles and C-profiles lack efficient mechanisms for secure and flexible connection, particularly in ensuring proper insertion and accommodating variations in profile dimensions.

Method used

A longitudinal connector with a unique design featuring outward bends at both ends and a downward bend in the middle, which facilitates easy insertion into profiles, provides tolerance, and offers a spring action to prevent collisions with embossings or fastenings.

Benefits of technology

The connector effectively connects profile ends both horizontally and vertically with optimal results, ensuring secure fastening while allowing for dimensional tolerance and flexibility.

Description

[0001] A longitudinal connector was invented with which two profiles (open U-profile or C-profile) can be connected lengthwise.

[0002] The outer side (2) is bent outward at more than 90 degrees and has a rising slope (1) at both ends so that the longitudinal connector (5) can be easily inserted into the profile (4). In the middle (3), the longitudinal connector is bent downward so that embossings or fastenings of the C-profile or open U-profile do not collide. In addition, the middle bends (3) provide a tolerance and spring effect. The longitudinal connector Fig. 1 or (5) connects the 2 profile ends horizontally and vertically with an optimal result.

Claims

[1] a longitudinal connector, characterized by that through its bends and its development it achieves a high stability in a profile, to the left and right as well as up and down.
