[0015] Other embodiments and advantages of the present subject matter will become more apparent from the following detailed description taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, which illustrate, by way of example, various embodiments of the present subject matter. SUMMARY
[0016] This design provides a complete solution for the safe and hygienic disposal of menstrual waste in public and private areas through a dedicated incinerator system. This incinerator completely burns all menstrual waste and minimizes improper outdoor disposal, thus avoiding the risk of environmental pollution. This process reduces pollutants released into the environment, ultimately leading to a cleaner environment.
[0017] According to one embodiment, the present solution keeps the waste in the upper container, which consists of two materials for heat conduction and then an insulating layer for drying the water in the container.
[0018] According to one embodiment, the waste stored in the container has a heat layer with coils, which then serves as a heat source for removing the water in the waste.
[0019] According to the present invention, a combustion system is connected to a high power source, which in turn generates the necessary current to thermally conduct the coil in generating heat.
[0020] According to one embodiment, an ARDUINO UNO microcontroller is embedded in the system to monitor and control the temperature inside the incinerator during the combustion process. This ensures optimal operating conditions for effective combustion without excessive heating, further improving the reliability and safety of the system. It can also be programmed to shut down automatically when the temperature reaches safe limits.
[0021] According to one embodiment, the incinerator would include several advanced filtration systems that capture and retain the harmful and carcinogenic byproducts from the combustion of menstrual waste.
[0022] One embodiment involves the inclusion of a catalyst at the exhaust outlet, where toxic gases such as carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides (NOx), and sulfur dioxide (SO2) produced during combustion are purified. This, in turn, converts hazardous gases into less hazardous ones. This converter reduces the danger of air pollution to human life. The emitted sulfur, which is removed using an activated carbon filter sensor, was explained in one embodiment.
[0023] A related example uses a pump DC motor for a self-shutting, intelligent fire extinguisher to protect users.
[0024] An ashtray attached to the base of the system collects the ash after burning and transports it to industries such as cotton manufacturing, cement and brick manufacturing, etc.
[0025] In some embodiments, the system promotes the responsible disposal of menstrual waste as an important public health issue, thereby improving the overall experience of women and girls in public. The various aspects of the embodiments described herein will be more fully understood from the accompanying drawings, in which: The foregoing various features of the embodiments are best understood by reference to the detailed description according to the accompanying drawings. Such descriptions, while outlining preferred embodiments and many specific details thereof, are to be considered merely illustrative and not in a limiting sense. In this regard, many modifications may be incorporated into these embodiments without departing from the spirit thereof; therefore, all such modifications are to be considered within the scope of the embodiments. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING
[0026] The following detailed description is based on the drawing shown, taking into account its reference numbers. Fig. shows the systematic view of the disposal system with the incinerator, the motor with pump and the connected catalyst. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0027] The various embodiments and other advances and advantages will now be described with reference to the non-limiting details in the following detailed description. Of course, a method of manufacturing known components is not described in detail here so as not to obscure the embodiments included herein.
[0028] The second embodiment is the hygienically safe disposal of menstrual waste by incinerating used sanitary pads in a closed system and subsequently converting hazardous gases into CO2 through an exhaust connection.
[0029] These examples are provided to enable those skilled in the art to practice the embodiments described herein and are to be considered exemplary and not restrictive; therefore, the scope of the embodiments is operational in nature. Therefore, the detailed description of our invention is as follows: Main components of the system: (1) incinerator, (2) ashtray, (3) Arduino and control unit, (4) DTH11 temperature sensors, (5) catalyst and fire extinguisher, (6) CO2 storage tank.
[0030] Fig.Shows a systematic view of the disposal system, including the incinerator, motor with pump, and connected catalyst. The incineration system involves the complete, controlled combustion of menstrual waste with the goal of thorough, efficient, and hygienic disposal. It contains a closed chamber made of heat-resistant materials and therefore supports a completely enclosed environment for combustion. Using external fuel, the system develops extremely high temperatures during the complete decomposition process, and all that remains of this waste is ash with trace residues. This leaves nothing but residual ash, which, if anything, can cause unsanitary conditions or environmental pollution.
[0031] Precisely that. The catalytic converter is another very important component in this system, reducing the harmful components emitted. The operating principle of such a converter is based on the oxidation of harmful gases, primarily carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides (NOx), and unburned hydrocarbons, into less toxic byproducts.
[0032] Platinum, palladium, and rhodium, both very expensive metals, act as catalysts in converting harmful gases into environmentally friendly compounds such as CO2 and water. This development in emissions management reduces air pollution and minimizes potential health risks associated with the combustion process.
[0033] This system is equipped with an ash container used to collect the ash residue from the combustion process. These containers are made of heat-resistant materials, so they do not change their condition in the incinerator, preventing ash dispersion. This facilitates mess-free ash removal and disposal and also supports ash recycling in the cement and brick industries. The system ensures that the ash is contained in a single, easily accessible component, simplifying cleaning and improving the overall efficiency of waste management.
[0034] The system therefore features a central control unit consisting of an Arduino Uno. The Arduino Uno monitors temperatures and keeps combustion within safe and optimal limits. The microcontroller controls the temperature sensors around the incinerator, continuously transmitting temperature data to make the necessary adjustments within the system. If temperatures reach dangerous levels, the Arduino automatically activates an extinguishing mechanism, significantly reducing the risk of fire or overheating and ensuring the safety of the incinerator.
[0035] To achieve highly precise control of thermal conditions, DHT11 temperature sensors are installed. They are positioned around the incinerator so that site-specific temperature values determine when combustion is safe and complete. Capturing multiple temperatures from various sensors inside and around the incinerator will help the system maintain a stable thermal profile that supports deep and comprehensive waste decomposition while minimizing emissions. This is ensured through real-time monitoring to ensure the incineration process is both efficient and safe, and does not drift into conditions that would lead to incomplete waste decomposition or higher emissions.
[0036] Another important component is the CO2 tank. This is a high-pressure container that plays a dual role in the incinerator. Primarily, it acts as a fire extinguisher. It replaces oxygen in the incinerator to cool it down if it overheats. Furthermore, according to Henry's Law, CO2 gas is more water-soluble. This is because it combines with other gases in the exhaust, keeping them in a water solution, rather than releasing gaseous CO2 freely into the atmosphere. This system therefore supports safety and emissions management, making it more environmentally friendly.
[0037] An integrated incineration system solution makes the facility efficient in terms of waste disposal, emissions control, and safety mechanisms. It ultimately incinerates all waste while minimizing residues and emissions, making disposal hygienic and environmentally friendly. Advanced control features and real-time temperature monitoring ensure safe operation and optimal conditions. The ash collected by this system can be easily reused in various industries, contributing to a sustainable and circular economy.
[0038] Sanitary pads are incinerated by disposing of used sanitary pads at the disposal site. During use, the napkin is placed in a container with a heat-conducting layer when activated. However, in this case, the primary heat source removes moisture from the waste, thus preparing it for incineration.
[0039] The incinerator can be powered by a very high-energy electrical source or a suitable fuel source that allows for effective heat conduction to generate sufficient heat. The design of the combustion chamber ensures that it reaches high temperatures very quickly, thus completely burning the napkin.
[0040] High temperatures, for example, would only allow the napkin to be completely burned to ash. However, the residues that are not completely burned would be reduced.
[0041] The DHT11 temperature and humidity sensors are strategically mounted on the surrounding walls of the incinerator. They can provide real-time information about the internal conditions. This helps maintain ideal combustion conditions by providing continuous feedback to the control system, ensuring that the incinerator operates within an ideal temperature and humidity range defined by the designer, thus ensuring optimal combustion and efficiency.
[0042] The incineration of sanitary waste produces various toxic emissions, including carbon dioxide (CO2), carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulfur dioxide (SO2), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and particulate matter (PM). These pollutants are oxidized by the catalyst in the incinerator. It plays a crucial role in the incineration plant, minimizing the harmful effects on the environment by converting harmful emissions into safe substances. For example, CO is converted into CO2, NOx into nitrogen and oxygen, while volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are converted into water and carbon dioxide. The treated gas is fed into a CO2 tank, which can be reused for the necessary transition to a circular economy.
[0043] The bottom of the incinerator's ashtray collects the ash remaining after combustion. This ash can be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner using the water suspension technique.
[0044] In addition to all these aspects, the design of the sanitary napkin incinerator ensures its safety. Multiple temperature sensors in this system ensure continuous monitoring. If the temperature rises to the point where there is a fire hazard, the system automatically activates the fire extinguisher. It then uses a DC pump motor to deploy the fire extinguisher, thus ensuring user safety in the event of a fire accident.
[0045] These sanitary napkin incinerators combine the most advanced features: conduction heat for moisture removal, high-temperature combustion, sensory sensors for real-time monitoring, catalytic conversion for emission control, efficient ash collection, and overall robust safety mechanisms for efficient, effective, and safe disposal of sanitary waste without environmental damage.
