Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a termination sleeve for a grounding bridge and a grounding bridge with a termination sleeve arranged at at least one end.

[0002] Safe and reliable grounding, especially of railway lines, is an essential component of railway infrastructure to ensure both the protection of people and operational safety. Railway grounding systems serve to connect electrically conductive components with a defined return current path and prevent excessively high potential differences. This is particularly crucial in the event of a short circuit, for example, due to a broken contact wire. Grounding bridges represent an essential element of railway grounding. They connect conductive components along the railway line and enable safe return current and equipotential bonding.Earthing bridges are particularly used in structures built into concrete, such as noise barriers, tunnels, or retaining walls. The earthing bridges are generally integrated into the reinforcement of the concrete components during the construction phase to ensure a permanent connection that is resistant to short-circuit currents. In the context of the invention described below, the term "short-circuit proof" refers to the property of an electrical component to withstand a short circuit for a certain period of time without being damaged or significantly impairing its function. In the context of the railway guideline RIL 997, short-circuit resistance is particularly important for components of return current guidance, railway earthing, and equipotential bonding in order to ensure the reliable discharge of fault currents and increase the operational reliability of overhead line systems.Conventional grounding bridges are equipped with copper bushings or copper-plated steel bushings, which are crimped or screwed to a grounding cable. A compression connection, in the context of grounding conductors, refers to a mechanically and electrically secure connection created by plastically deforming two metallic conductors using a crimping tool or a hydraulic press. This connection technology is used particularly in railway grounding to ensure a low-resistance and corrosion-resistant connection between grounding conductors and other conductive components, such as rails or grounding tips. It ensures the discharge of fault currents and contributes to compliance with protective measures against voltage erosion. However, this poses an increased risk that the connected grounding cable will become loose or pulled out due to mechanical stress or vibrations in the railway sector, as the holding force is provided solely by the compression connection or friction within the socket. Furthermore, the installed sockets have insufficient pull-out strength from the surrounding material. Conventional sockets, especially copper-plated steel sockets, are susceptible to corrosion, especially in aggressive environments with high humidity, chemical influences, and temperature fluctuations.

[0003] It is an object of the present invention to provide a termination sleeve on a grounding bridge which enables secure and permanent mounting and is particularly suitable for high-current applications.

[0004] The present invention provides a termination sleeve for a grounding bridge having the features of claim 1 and a grounding bridge having a termination sleeve arranged at at least one end having the features of claim 17.

[0005] Preferred further training is the subject of the subclaims.

[0006] According to a first aspect of the invention, a termination sleeve for a grounding bridge is provided, comprising a first, tubular sleeve portion and a second sleeve portion axially adjoining the first sleeve portion and closing the first sleeve portion. The first sleeve portion is configured as a receptacle that can be compressed with an earthing conductor end, in particular a conductor cable end, and a central threaded bore is provided in the second sleeve portion for arranging a fastening means. In the present invention, the earthing conductor is referred to as a cable or conductor cable. In the context of the invention, this term encompasses both rigid and flexible embodiments of the earthing conductor in the grounding bridge.

[0007] According to a second aspect of the invention, a grounding bridge is provided with a termination sleeve arranged at at least one end.

[0008] The idea underlying the present invention is to provide a termination sleeve for a grounding bridge that ensures secure return current conduction and reliable potential equalization. The two-part design of the sleeve is designed to increase pull-out resistance, improve the attachment of the conductor cable or grounding conductor in the grounding bridge, and simultaneously reduce contact resistance to achieve improved electrical contact. This is achieved in the grounding bridge according to the invention through the use of highly corrosion-resistant and short-circuit-current-resistant stainless steel termination bushings, which can be securely and permanently installed using a press connection. In addition, the special design of the termination sleeve enables a high lightning current carrying capacity, making it suitable for applications requiring efficient dissipation of high currents, particularly in high-current applications and lightning protection systems in accordance with relevant standards and guidelines. An example of this is the railway guideline RIL 997, which defines requirements for systems designed to ensure the safety and reliability of railway installations, particularly with regard to lightning current carrying capacity and protection against overvoltages in high-current applications, such as overhead contact lines and railway earthing systems. The axial separation between two functionally different sleeve sections allows for a positive compression fit with the conductor cable in the first sleeve section, creating a mechanically stable and low-loss electrical connection. The secure clamping of the cable achieved by the compression, particularly in conjunction with the inner contours described below, such as thread-like inner contours, improves the mechanical holding force and reduces the risk of pullout under mechanical stress. The more solid second sleeve section has a central threaded hole into which a fastening device (e.g., a screw) can be inserted. This design of the second sleeve section enables a secure connection of the sleeve to another grounding bridge or another grounding conductor. Furthermore, the second sleeve section is not deformed during the compression of the first sleeve section, so that it, like the central threaded hole located there, remains dimensionally stable. While the compression of the first sleeve section ensures contact between the line section of the grounding conductor and the termination sleeve, resulting in reduced contact resistance and improved electrical contact between the grounding bridge and other conductive components, additional conductors can be connected via the threaded hole in the second sleeve section using a screw connection, as in conventional grounding bridges or fixed grounding points. The termination sleeve according to the invention overcomes the typical disadvantages of known grounding bridges and provides improved cable retention in the first sleeve section with a secure and pull-out-proof connection to the grounding conductor, in particular a conductor cable, while reducing the contact resistance. The second sleeve section, which is not affected by the compression of the first sleeve section and is therefore dimensionally stable, also allows for the connection of additional grounding conductors or grounding bridges via a screw connection. The clear separation of functions into a first and second sleeve section not only enables easier and more reliable installation of the grounding bridge, but also serves to shield the conductor material in the first sleeve section from external influences. This prevents moisture or rainwater from penetrating the crimped copper cable of the grounding conductor via a threaded inlet or water from penetrating the structure, thus reliably protecting the copper cable from corrosion and environmental influences.

[0009] According to a preferred embodiment of the end sleeve, the threaded bore is designed as a blind hole. The blind hole prevents the fastening means from protruding completely through the second sleeve section into the first sleeve section. This maintains the mechanical integrity of the sleeve, and the contact surface between the sleeve and the grounding conductor to be connected in the first sleeve section is not weakened by an open hole. Since the threaded bore is not continuous, the contact surface of the sleeve in the first sleeve section remains uninterrupted for electrical contact, which further reduces the contact resistance. The second sleeve section remains dimensionally stable thanks to the blind hole, as no material displacement or deformation occurs during the pressing of the first sleeve section. This facilitates the installation of the fastener and ensures even force transmission when connecting to another grounding bridge or grounding conductor.

[0010] In one embodiment of the end sleeve, an outer circumference of the second sleeve section has a polygonal contour, in particular a hexagonal contour. According to a further development, the polygonal contour has undercuts running in the circumferential direction. This embodiment is particularly advantageous for use in concrete parts or other solid materials into which the grounding bridge is installed or cast. The hexagonal contour ensures effective protection against rotation by preventing the end sleeve from rotating when tightening or loosening a fastening element. The optional circumferential undercuts act as a mechanical anchor within the surrounding component (e.g., concrete) and increase the pull-out strength of the entire grounding bridge, ensuring that it remains permanently fixed even under mechanical loads, such as vibrations or settlement of the structure.

[0011] According to one embodiment of the end sleeve, a disk having a central bore can be attached to an axial end of the second sleeve section, wherein the disk has a diameter that is larger than that of the second sleeve section. The enlarged disk can also serve as a support surface on an embedding component, in particular a concrete part. The disk with a central bore also enables large-area electrical contact, thereby further reducing contact resistance. Because the disk can be attached separately, the end sleeve can also be flexibly adapted to different requirements, as the disk can be made in the desired size depending on the structural conditions. The central bore enables secure fastening with a screw element, ensuring reliable and easy installation.

[0012] An advantageous development proposes that a collar is provided which projects beyond the axial end of the second sleeve section and surrounds the threaded bore, wherein the collar can be brought into engagement with the central bore of the disk. The protruding collar achieves a positive connection between the end sleeve and the attachable disk, thereby providing axial and radial stabilization of the components. The integration of the collar increases the contact area between the disk and the end sleeve, as the collar provides a defined contact surface for the central bore of the disk, thus achieving more stable electrical contact between the two components. The improved contact reduces the contact resistance and improves current conduction and potential equalization.

[0013] According to an advantageous development, the collar and the disc can be connected mechanically, in particular via a flanging. The mechanical connection, in particular the flanging, advantageously creates a force-fitting and form-fitting connection between the collar and the disc and achieves permanent mechanical fixation. This connection advantageously prevents the disc from loosening or slipping relative to the end sleeve, even under dynamic loads, vibrations, or thermal expansion. The force-fitting connection between the collar and the disc also creates a uniform contact surface with optimized electrical conductivity. The connection via flanging advantageously enables fast and cost-effective production, since no additional fastening elements or welds are required.

[0014] In a further embodiment of the termination sleeve, a thread contour is provided in an inner wall of the first sleeve section. The thread contour allows the grounding cable to be inserted, in particular screwed, into the first sleeve section with a positive fit. This leads to better mechanical fixation of the cable, as the thread structure prevents the cable from being pulled out or loosened due to mechanical stress, vibrations, or thermal influences. Compared to a smooth inner surface, the thread contour ensures a more even force introduction, whereby the cable is held more firmly and securely in the sleeve. The thread contour also advantageously increases the contact area between the sleeve and the conductor cable, enabling uniform current transmission across the entire connection. This reduces the electrical contact resistance and ensures reliable return current conduction. The thread contour also provides a defined structure for a homogeneous and uniform pressing of the earthing cable with the sleeve material.

[0015] In a further embodiment of the terminating sleeve according to the invention, a ramp contour is provided which is incorporated into an inner circumferential surface of the first sleeve section and widens towards the second sleeve section. The widening ramp contour has the advantage that the conductor cable is displaced in a controlled manner towards the inner wall of the sleeve section during compression. This leads to an even distribution of clamping force along the circumference, thereby achieving a stable fixation of the cable. In addition, the mechanical holding force is increased, which improves the pull-out strength and prevents the cable from becoming loose due to tensile forces or vibrations. The targeted displacement of the conductor towards the inner wall of the sleeve section creates a larger-area contact of the cable with the sleeve, which further improves electrical contact and reduces electrical contact resistance.Return current conduction and potential equalization are advantageously improved. The ramp contour also facilitates controlled cable routing during insertion into the sleeve section and during the crimping process.

[0016] In a further embodiment of the end sleeve, at least one tangential groove is provided in an inner wall of the first sleeve section, in particular running around the circumference. The groove serves as a positive anchoring for the conductor cable and gives the connection a higher mechanical holding force. When the cable is pressed into the first sleeve section, the cable material is displaced into the groove, creating additional interlocking. This reduces the risk of the cable becoming loose under tensile load or vibration. The groove enlarges the effective contact area between the conductor cable and the inner wall of the sleeve section, thereby improving electrical conductivity. The targeted displacement of material into the groove also ensures that the cable is in full contact, preventing micro-gaps and air pockets that could increase contact resistance. This improves return current flow and potential equalization.

[0017] In a further embodiment of the terminating sleeve according to the invention, a socket is provided which is plugged onto the grounding conductor end, in particular the conductor cable end, and which can be brought into positive engagement with the first sleeve section. The additional socket around the conductor cable increases the contact area between the cable and the sleeve, thereby achieving better current transmission. The positive engagement with the first sleeve section creates a homogeneous and stable electrical connection which prevents undesirable increases in resistance due to uneven clamping or contact points. The socket enables optimized current conduction, as the current can be transmitted not only via the circumferential surface but also via the end face adjacent to the inside of the sleeve section. This improves return current conduction and potential equalization. The bushing provides additional mechanical reinforcement of the conductor cable within the sleeve, increasing the mechanical strength of the connection. The positive connection between the bushing and the sleeve section enables secure fixation, preventing the cable from slipping or coming loose under tensile forces, vibrations, or thermal influences. This results in increased pull-out strength. The plug-on bushing also advantageously facilitates the controlled and precise positioning of the conductor cable within the sleeve section, enabling uniform crimping.

[0018] In a further development, the bushing is made of a conductive material, in particular copper. Copper has high electrical conductivity, which means that current is transmitted between the conductor cable and the termination sleeve with minimal resistance losses. The use of a copper bushing ensures even current distribution, as the material lies in contact over a large area at the interface between the cable and the sleeve. This leads to a reduction in contact resistance. A copper bushing also enables improved current transmission across the end face. Copper, as a ductile material, can deform under mechanical stress, particularly during crimping, without breaking. This property enables a homogeneous and large-area connection between the bushing, conductor cable, and sleeve during crimping, thus achieving a mechanically stable and pull-out-proof fixation. When the conductor cable is crimped into the sleeve, the copper can also deform into gaps and irregularities, improving the full-surface contact between the cable and the sleeve. This also allows for the compensation of manufacturing tolerances, as the material flows into the existing gaps, thus improving the mechanical and electrical connection.

[0019] In a further embodiment of the terminating sleeve according to the invention, the first sleeve section and the grounding conductor end, in particular the conductor cable end, can be pressed together. By pressing the first sleeve section onto the conductor cable end, a force-fitting and form-fitting connection is advantageously achieved, which has a high mechanical load-bearing capacity. The conductor cable is pressed firmly into the sleeve, thereby achieving a high degree of pull-out security. The plastic deformation of the sleeve material during pressing creates a stable, permanent fixation that requires no additional fastening elements. As a result of the pressing, the conductor cable is pressed completely against the inner wall of the first sleeve section, creating a large-area electrical contact. This reduces the contact resistance at the interface between the cable and the sleeve, minimizing line losses and ensuring efficient current transmission for return current and potential equalization. The crimping also enables a space-saving, compact design, as no additional screws, clamps, or solder connections are required. Crimping allows the conductor cable to optimally adapt to the interior of the sleeve section, compensating for manufacturing tolerances.

[0020] According to a further development, a plurality of webs running in the axial direction and projecting radially relative to the outer circumference are provided on an outer circumference of the first sleeve section. The axially running webs ensure a positive anchoring of the end sleeve in the surrounding material, particularly when the sleeve is installed in a concrete part or another solid structure. The radially projecting elements advantageously prevent twisting of the end sleeve in the component. The axial webs form an outer contour of the sleeve, which ensures that the end sleeve deforms evenly during pressing and that the force is optimally transmitted to the conductor cable. This leads to a homogeneous clamping force distribution inside the first sleeve section, whereby the cable is held firmly and securely. The axial webs also ensure greater mechanical integration of the termination sleeve into the surrounding material, especially when the sleeve is encased in concrete or inserted into a fixed structure. This increases resistance to torsional and tensile forces, ensuring the termination sleeve cannot be loosened or pulled out under mechanical stress. The combination of axial webs and the positive crimping of the cable results in a high-strength and permanent connection. The stabilized crimping by the webs ensures uniform, flat contact of the cable against the inner wall of the first sleeve section, thus advantageously reducing electrical contact resistance. Another advantage is that the axial webs enable defined positioning of the termination sleeve in the component, which simplifies assembly.Especially in automated production processes, the web contour ensures repeatable alignment of the sleeve. The webs can be efficiently manufactured using common manufacturing processes such as milling, forming, or casting. The webs can also be formed during the pressing process.

[0021] In one embodiment, a through-bore extending axially between the first and second sleeve sections is provided, wherein a threaded pin can be inserted, in particular screwed, through the through-bore into the earthing conductor end, in particular the conductor cable end. After compression, the threaded pin presses against the conductor cable at the end face, creating additional mechanical and electrical contact across the end face of the cable. This additional contact provides a larger contact area between the cable and sleeve, reducing electrical contact resistance and enabling efficient current transmission. The targeted pressing of the conductor cable against the inner wall of the sleeve creates additional lateral contact, achieving a more even current distribution. The threaded pin also acts as an additional fixation for the conductor cable within the sleeve section, further increasing the mechanical holding force of the connection. This design reduces the risk of the cable loosening or pulling out under mechanical stress, particularly vibration or thermal expansion. The inserted threaded pin forces the cable apart against the inner wall of the sleeve, creating a positive connection that holds the cable in position over the long term. Because the threaded pin is screwed into the cable after crimping, it can be subsequently adjusted to exert a uniform and reproducible clamping force on the cable. This enables more precise adaptation to different cable diameters or materials without the need to consider additional manufacturing tolerances.

[0022] In one embodiment, the first and / or second sleeve section of the termination sleeve is made of a corrosion-resistant material, in particular stainless steel. Stainless steel is resistant to corrosion, in particular to moisture, aggressive environmental influences, and chemical stress. This proves particularly advantageous for grounding applications in the railway sector, where the termination sleeve is exposed to moisture and temperature fluctuations. The use of stainless steel prevents the occurrence of contact corrosion, particularly at the interface between the termination sleeve and the connected grounding cable or other conductive components. Stainless steel exhibits high mechanical strength, which means that the termination sleeve remains dimensionally stable even under high mechanical loads. This is particularly advantageous in applications subject to mechanical vibrations, shock loads, or high tensile forces, such as those encountered in the railway sector due to dynamic driving forces. The material's high hardness and wear resistance ensure a permanently stable and secure fixation of the conductor cable, especially with crimped connections, and guarantees sufficient electrical conductivity, resulting in a low contact resistance when connected to a crimped or screwed structure.

[0023] In a further development of the grounding bridge, a fastening lug, a fastening eyelet, or a threaded bolt is provided at one end opposite the end sleeve. The fastening lug or fastening eyelet enables a stable and resilient mechanical connection to other conductive structures, such as rails, bridge structures, protective grilles, or reinforcements in the building structure. The mechanical pull-out security is increased by the positive connection, so that the grounding bridge cannot become loose due to vibrations or mechanical stress. The direct connection of the lug or eyelet to a conductive structure creates a large contact surface that ensures efficient current transmission. This reduces the electrical contact resistance and achieves better return current conduction and reliable potential equalization. The connecting element between the end sleeve and the lug can be made of different materials to meet specific requirements, for example, copper, stainless steel, a copper-steel-aluminum composite, or a steel cable. Alternatively, a version with a compression cable lug can be provided, and the eyelet or lug can be designed as a component of the compression cable lug. In the embodiment with a connecting element designed as a threaded bolt, for example in the form of a crosspiece with a connecting thread, a screw connection with a conductive structure can be made. In a further embodiment, an end sleeve according to the invention can be provided at both ends of the grounding bridge. This creates a symmetrical connection to two grounding points, improves the flexibility of the system and is particularly advantageous for applications where a continuous conductive connection is to be established between multiple structures.

[0024] Further features and advantages of embodiments of the invention will become apparent from the following description with reference to the accompanying drawings. Short description of the drawings

A central threaded bore 116 is provided in the second sleeve portion 114, which serves to receive a fastening means. A disk 140 is attached to the second sleeve portion 114, which in turn has a central bore 142 for alignment with the threaded bore 116.The second sleeve section 114 has a collar 141 that surrounds the threaded bore 116, engages with the disk 140, and serves for mechanical fixation, for example, by forming a flanged connection between the disk 140 and the second sleeve section 114. The disk 140 extends radially beyond the circumference of the second sleeve section 114. In addition, several mounting bores 144 are provided in the disk 140 for attaching the disk 140 to a substrate. The disk 140 performs a dual function in the grounding bridge 100. It serves as a mechanical stop to ensure secure anchoring of the termination sleeve 110 in the surrounding component and to prevent it from being pulled out. It also improves electrical contact by optimizing the conductive connection between the termination sleeve 110 and other grounding elements (not shown), thereby reducing the contact resistance. In addition, the disc 140, with its mounting holes 144, offers a simple and secure fastening option for the entire earthing bridge 100.

[0031] Fig. 4 shows a perspective view of a termination sleeve 110 according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. The termination sleeve 110 comprises a first sleeve section 112, which is designed as a tubular receptacle for a conductor cable. The first sleeve section 112 is provided for the positive compression of the conductor cable. The termination sleeve 110 further has a second sleeve section 114, which axially adjoins the first sleeve section 112 and closes it off on the inside. A central threaded bore 116 is provided in the second sleeve section 114, which serves to receive a fastening means. A polygonal contour 118 is formed on the outer circumference of the second sleeve section 114, which has a hexagonal shape in the exemplary embodiment. In addition, undercuts 119 running in the circumferential direction are provided. These undercuts 119 extend radially into the material of the end sleeve 110 and serve to improve anchoring in a surrounding component. In the exemplary embodiment, the end sleeve 110 is provided without the undercuts described in connection with the . Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 is shown. However, the collar 141 projecting axially relative to the second sleeve portion 114 is visible, which can be engaged with a central bore 142 of the disc 140 in order to center the disc 140 relative to the end sleeve 110 and to enable crimping between the disc 140 and the second sleeve portion 114.

[0032] Fig. 5a shows a side sectional view of the main body of the termination sleeve 110 according to an embodiment of the present invention. The termination sleeve 110 comprises a first sleeve section 112, which is designed to receive and crimp a conductor cable end. In the exemplary embodiment, the first sleeve section 112 has an inner contour 151 with a ramp contour 113 that widens toward the second sleeve section 114. This serves to positively fix the conductor cable. The widening ramp contour 113 enables the conductor cable to be displaced in a controlled manner toward the inner wall 152 of the first sleeve section 112 during crimping. This leads to a uniform clamping force distribution along the circumference, thereby achieving a stable fixation of the cable. In addition, the mechanical holding force is increased and the pull-out strength is improved, since loosening of the cable due to tensile forces or vibrations is prevented. The targeted displacement of the conductor toward the inner wall 152 of the first sleeve section 112 creates a larger contact area of the cable against the termination sleeve 110, further improving electrical contact and reducing electrical contact resistance. The ramp contour 113 also facilitates the controlled guidance of the cable during insertion into the first sleeve section 112 and the crimping process.

[0033] On the inner wall 152 of the first sleeve section 112, a groove contour 153 is additionally formed by three grooves 154, which in the exemplary embodiment are spaced apart in the axial direction. The groove contour 153 extends over a portion of the inner wall 152 of the first sleeve section 112 and serves to improve contact and fixation of the inserted cable end.

[0034] Fig. Figure 5b shows a side sectional view of a termination sleeve 110 according to a further embodiment of the present invention. The termination sleeve 110 comprises a first sleeve portion 112, which is designed as a tubular receptacle for crimping a conductor cable end. The first sleeve portion 112 has a groove contour 153 in its inner wall, which serves to improve the fixation of the conductor cable. The second sleeve portion 114 is axially connected to the first sleeve portion 112 and has a central bore 116 for receiving a fastening means. Also visible is the circumferential collar 141 for arranging the disk 140 (cf. Fig. 2 and Fig. 3). In addition, Fig. 5b shows a bushing 150, which is provided as a separate component and can be inserted into the first sleeve section 112. The bushing 150 is tubular and designed for a positive connection with the first sleeve section 112. The bushing 150 is provided to receive the conductor cable end, wherein the conductor cable can be positioned and pressed within the bushing 150. The bushing 150 receiving the conductor cable end increases the contact area between the cable and the termination sleeve 110, thereby achieving better current transmission. The positive engagement with the first sleeve section 112 creates a homogeneous and stable electrical connection that prevents undesirable increases in resistance due to uneven clamping or contact points. The socket 150 enables optimized current conduction, as the current can be transmitted not only via the circumferential surface, but also via the end face 155 of the socket 150, which rests against the inside of the first sleeve section 112. This improves return current conduction and potential equalization. The plugged-on socket 150 also advantageously facilitates the controlled and precise positioning of the conductor cable within the first sleeve section 112, thereby enabling uniform crimping. The socket 150 is made of a conductive material, in particular copper, and can deform during crimping. This property enables a homogeneous and large-area connection between the socket 150, the conductor cable, and the termination sleeve 110, thereby achieving a mechanically stable and pull-out-proof fixation. When the conductor cable is pressed into the termination sleeve 110, the copper can deform into gaps and uneven areas, ensuring full-surface contact between the cable and the termination sleeve 110.

[0035] Fig. 5c shows a side sectional view of a termination sleeve 110 according to a further embodiment of the present invention. The termination sleeve 110 comprises a first sleeve portion 112, which is designed to receive and crimp a conductor cable end. The first sleeve portion 112 has a threaded contour 156 on its inner wall 152. The threaded contour 156 extends over part of the inner wall 152 of the first sleeve portion 112 and serves to improve the mechanical fixation of the conductor cable, which can be screwed into the first sleeve portion 112 during assembly and before crimping. By inserting the grounding cable into the threaded contour 156, a positive fit is achieved, which secures the conductor cable against axial and radial movement. This prevents accidental pulling out or loosening of the cable before crimping. The thread contour 156 enlarges the contact area between the inner wall 152 of the first sleeve section 112 and the conductor cable, thereby enabling uniform current transmission across the entire connection. This reduces the electrical contact resistance and ensures reliable return current conduction. The thread structure 156 also forms a defined structure for uniform compression of the conductor cable, thereby ensuring improved electrical contact between the termination sleeve 110 and the conductor cable. The second sleeve section 114 adjoins the first sleeve section 112 axially and also has a central threaded bore 116 for receiving a fastening means. The circumferential collar 141 for arranging the disk 140 can also be seen (cf. Fig. 2 and Fig. 3).

[0036] Fig.5d shows a side sectional view of a termination sleeve 110 according to a further embodiment of the present invention. The termination sleeve 110 comprises a first sleeve section 112, which is designed as a tubular receptacle for crimping a conductor cable end. The first sleeve section 112 is axially connected to a second sleeve section 114. The sleeve sections 112, 114 have a centrally arranged through-bore 117 extending axially between them, which is equipped with an internal thread 157 for receiving a threaded pin (not shown). After crimping, the threaded pin can be screwed into the conductor cable end via the through-bore 117. By screwing in the threaded pin, the conductor cable is pulled against the end-face inner wall section 158 of the first sleeve section 112.This provides additional mechanical fixation of the conductor cable and improves the electrical contact between the conductor cable and the inner wall section 158 of the first sleeve section 112. In addition, the conductor cable is displaced radially outward by the insertion of the threaded pin, thereby achieving a more flat contact with the inner wall 152 of the first sleeve section 112.
