Abstract
Description
Technical field
[0001] The invention relates to a folding walking stick by means of gear meshing, in particular a walking stick which, instead of the conventional coupling of three lower support legs with a first, a second and a third upper support arm via connecting rods, can be unfolded and folded in a power-saving and convenient manner by means of the meshing of the teeth of gears on upper support arms and lower support legs. State of the art
[0002] After walking sticks became a widely used aid, the industry developed the sitting stick, a multifunctional device. When walking, the sitting stick can be used as a walking stick to assist the user with standing, walking, and maintaining balance. For a break, it can be easily unfolded and transformed into a seat. The sitting stick is suitable for various occasions requiring extended periods of waiting and rest, such as outdoors, while traveling, queuing, shopping, cooling off, fishing, and so on. The sitting stick is typically lightweight, easy to store and transport, and takes up little space, which is why it is so popular with consumers.
[0003] A conventional walking stick essentially comprises three lower support legs, two upper support rods, a main shaft, a seat, a sliding bearing, and a pivot bearing. The three lower support legs are pivotally connected to the lower part of the pivot bearing and can be folded together or unfolded to form a tripod. The two upper support rods and the sliding bearing are pivotally connected to the upper part of the pivot bearing, with the main shaft passing through the sliding bearing. The two upper support rods and the main shaft can be folded together or unfolded to form an inverted tripod. The seat consists of three disc-shaped sections, with the upper parts of the two upper support rods and the sliding bearing each supporting the seat (the three disc-shaped sections). The sliding bearing can be raised, lowered, and positioned relative to the main shaft. To unfold the seat, first unlock the folded seat and then lower the sliding bearing. The two upper support rods and the main rod are used to unfold the three disc sections to form a flat seat. The three lower support legs, the main rod, and the two upper support rods are now spread and unfolded. The three lower support legs make contact with the ground and bear the overall weight. To fold the seat, lift the sliding bearing, which raises the central disc section relative to the two side disc sections. The two side disc sections then fold inwards, so that the three lower support legs and the two upper support rods are folded together by their coupling. To connect the two upper support poles to the main pole, several connecting rods are required, allowing them to pivot together. Similarly, connecting the three lower support legs requires multiple connecting rods, again allowing them to pivot together. This design is complex and variable, and assembling the numerous components is time-consuming and expensive. Operating the connecting rods can result in pinched fingers and injuries, which is uncomfortable for the user. Furthermore, the connection of the connecting rod to the three lower support legs, or the connection of the two upper support poles to the main pole, obstructs the folding and unfolding process. Therefore, folding and unfolding the seat requires considerable force, which is very inconvenient for the elderly, women, and children, and makes smooth folding and unfolding in one motion impossible. Furthermore, after folding and unfolding, the traditional seat is often secured and positioned with bolts. However, this method of fastening carries the risk of the seat components loosening and shifting, making the seat unsafe to use. Object of the invention
[0004] The invention is based on the objective of creating a folding cane by means of tooth engagement of gears, with which the shortcomings mentioned in the prior art are eliminated. Technical solution
[0005] The object of the invention is achieved by a folding seat stick with the features of claim 1, provided that the seat stick is foldable by means of tooth engagement of gears. Advantageous embodiments are the subject of the dependent claims.
[0006] The invention provided a folding cane seat by means of tooth engagement of gears, comprising the following: a pivot bearing on which three rectangular channels are arranged radially distributed, wherein the enclosed angle between each two rectangular channels is the same, wherein a barrier wall is arranged on the outer circumference of the rectangular channel, which has an upper beveled edge in the upper area and a lower beveled edge in the lower area; three lower support legs, each having a flat round head at its upper end, which is pivotably connected to the lower part of the corresponding rectangular groove; a first, a second, and a third upper support arm, each having at its lower end a lower flat round head pivotably connected to the upper part of the corresponding rectangular channel, wherein the first and the second upper support arms are each connected at their upper part to a support tube, at the upper part of which a cardan joint is arranged, while the third upper support arm is connected at its upper part to a main support tube, the upper part of which is connected to an arm support, wherein a sliding bearing is arranged on the main support tube, the sliding bearing being provided with a sliding tube and a domed round part, the sliding tube being designed to guide the main support tube and the third upper support arm into the sliding tube, and wherein a locking button is arranged on the outside of the sliding bearing.wherein, by pressing the locking button, the sliding bearing is raised or lowered along the main support tube and then fixed to the main support tube; and, a seat surface consisting of a main surface and two side surfaces which are pivotably connected to each other, wherein the curved round part of the sliding bearing is pivotably connected to the lower part of the main surface, wherein the cardan joints of the support tubes are pivotably connected to the lower sides of the side surfaces.
[0007] According to the invention, an upper gear unit is arranged around the upper flat round head of each lower support leg, and a lower gear unit is arranged around the respective lower flat round head of the first, second, and third upper support arms. The upper gear units of the lower support legs and the lower gear units of the first, second, and third upper support arms mesh with each other accordingly. When the sliding bearing is raised or lowered by actuation, the inner surfaces of the main surface are raised synchronously, causing the two side surfaces to move in such a way that they are folded down laterally or unfolded upwards. The first, second, and third upper support arms are also moved in this process and thus folded or unfolded. The lower gear units drive the upper gear units in such a way that the three lower support legs are folded or unfolded.
[0008] The folding cane seat according to the invention, which is achieved by the meshing of gears, has the following advantages. In the cane seat according to the invention, the upper support arms and the lower support legs are coupled by the meshing of the gears and thus unfolded and folded by this coupling. In contrast to the conventional cane seat, in which the three lower support legs and the three upper support arms are coupled and moved by means of connecting rods, the cane seat can be unfolded and folded effortlessly and conveniently by means of the meshing of the gear teeth. This means that the sliding bearing of the conventional cane seat can be easily pulled up or pushed down without being blocked by the connecting rods, thus allowing the cane seat to be unfolded and folded without hindrance.Furthermore, the coupled components of the seat stick can be moved simply by pressing the locking button and by pulling up or pushing down the sliding bearing, thus unfolding or folding them. This allows the seat stick to be easily and simply unfolded or folded without any complicated operation. As a safety mechanism, according to the invention, a locking pin of the locking button is inserted into the lower or upper positioning hole of the main support tube. This prevents the sliding bearing from being suddenly raised or lowered on the main support tube and prevents the folded seat stick from unintentionally unfolding, thus ensuring safe and stable sitting.Furthermore, according to the invention, it is not necessary to arrange several connecting rods, so that there is no risk of fingers being pinched when unfolding and folding the seat stick, whereby by omitting the connecting rods easier assembly of the components, a reduction in manufacturing costs, a reduction in weight and a reduction in the volume of the seat stick are achieved, which is advantageous for storing, packing and transporting the seat stick. Detailed description of an exemplary implementation
[0009] The following section explains the tasks, features, and advantages of the present invention with reference to a detailed description of an exemplary embodiment and the accompanying drawing. The invention is not intended to be limited to the description and the accompanying drawing.
[0010] In Fig. 1 to Fig. Figure 6 shows a folding cane according to the invention, which is made possible by the meshing of gears. The cane comprises a pivot bearing 10, three lower support legs 20, a first upper support arm 30, a second upper support arm 30A, and a third upper support arm 300, a sliding bearing 40, and a seat surface 50. Three radially extending rectangular grooves 11 are arranged radially distributed on the pivot bearing 10, the angle between each pair of rectangular grooves 11 being the same, and a barrier 111 being arranged on the outer circumference of the rectangular groove 11, which has an upper inclined edge 112 in the upper region and a lower inclined edge 113 in the lower region. Each lower support leg 20 has a flat, rounded head at its upper end, which is pivotably connected to the lower part of the corresponding rectangular groove 11 by means of a lower bolt 201 that passes through the rectangular groove 11. An upper gear unit 21 is arranged around the upper flat, rounded head of each lower support leg 20, the upper gear unit 21 consisting of two parallel gears. The first upper support arm 30 has a flat, rounded head at its lower end, which is pivotably connected to the upper part of the corresponding rectangular groove 11 by means of an upper bolt 301 that passes through the rectangular groove 11. A lower gear unit 31 is arranged around the lower flat, rounded head of the first upper support arm 30, the lower gear unit 31 also consisting of two parallel gears. The upper gear unit 21 of the lower support leg 20 engages with the lower gear unit 31 of the first upper support arm 30. When the first upper support arm 30 is pivoted in one direction, the corresponding lower support leg 20 is also pivoted in the same direction at the same distance, because the lower and upper gear units 31 and 21 mesh and are identical in the number of teeth and dimensions. The second upper support arm 30A and the first upper support arm 30 are identical in design and each is connected at its upper part to a support tube 32, on the upper part of which a universal joint 321 is arranged, while the third upper support arm 300 is connected at its upper part to a main support tube 33, the upper part of which is connected to an arm support 34.A sliding bearing 40 is mounted on the main support tube 33. The sliding bearing 40 is provided with a sliding tube 41 and a domed round part 42. The sliding tube 41 is designed to guide the main support tube 33 and the third upper support arm 300 into the sliding tube 41. A locking button 43 is arranged on the outside of the sliding bearing 41. By actuating the locking button 43, the sliding bearing 40 is raised or lowered along the main support tube 33 and then fixed to the main support tube 33. A recess 44 is located on the outside of the sliding bearing 41 (see figure 42). Fig. 7) arranged in which the locking knob 43 is rotatably mounted. Two through holes 441 are provided in the recess 44. On the inside of the locking knob 43, a blunt protrusion 431 and a projecting locking pin 432 are arranged, the blunt protrusion 431 being in contact with the inner wall of the recess 44 such that the locking knob 43 can be tilted with the blunt protrusion 431 as its center. The locking button 43 also includes an inner bore 435, a connecting pin 433 and a torsion spring 434, wherein the connecting pin 433 is inserted into the inner bore 435 of the locking button 43 and the two through bores 441 of the recess 44, so that the locking button 43 is thereby positioned in the recess 44 of the sliding bearing 40.The compression spring 434 is fitted onto the connecting pin 433 and ensures that the locking pin 432, located in the lower part of the locking button 43, protrudes from the inner wall of the recess 44 when the locking button 43 is not pressed, and does not protrude from the inner wall of the recess 44 when the locking button 43 is pressed. When the finger is released from the locking button 43, the torsion spring 434 returns the locking button 43 to its original position (the upper part of the locking button 43 is removed from the inner wall of the recess 44).
[0011] The support tubes 32 and the main support tube 33 are triangular hollow tubes that are lightweight and have high stiffness, thus providing excellent support. The first, second, and third upper support arms 30, 30A, 300 are triangular solid shafts, each with a structure 302 and two positioning holes 303 on its surface. The structures 302 provide improved static friction, allowing the upper support arms 30, 300 to be connected to the support tubes 32 and the main support tube 33. The positioning holes 303 connect the upper support arms 30, 300 to the support tubes 32 and the main support tube 33. The three lower support legs 20 are triangular hollow tubes that are lightweight and have high stiffness, thus providing excellent support. An upper positioning hole 331 and a lower positioning hole 332 are arranged on the outside of the main support tube 33. The locking pin 432 of the locking knob 43 can be inserted into and removed from either the upper positioning hole 331 or the lower positioning hole 332. A plurality of anti-slip ribs 436 are provided on the upper surface of the locking knob 43. A pair of tabs 45 are arranged on the outside of the sliding tube 41 of the sliding bearing 40, which the fingers use to pull the sliding bearing 40 up or push it down. The seat surface 50 consists of a main surface 51 and two side surfaces 52, the main surface 51 and the side surfaces 52 being pivotably connected to each other. The two sides of the main surface 51 of the seat surface 50 are each formed from a plurality of main notches 511 and a plurality of main rollers 512, wherein the main notches 511 and the main rollers 512 are arranged alternately. The facing sides of the two side surfaces 52 are each formed by a plurality of main rollers 521 and a plurality of main grooves 522, the side rollers 521 and the side grooves 522 being arranged alternately. A pin 53 is guided by the main rollers 512 on the respective side of the main surface 51 and by the side rollers 521 of the respective side surface 52 to pivotally connect the main surface 51 and the two side surfaces 52. The curved round part 42 of the sliding bearing 40 is rotatably connected to the underside of the main surface 51. A pair of lugs 513 is located on the underside of the main surface 51 (see figure 5). Fig. 4) arranged, with which the curved round part 42 of the sliding bearing 40 can be rotatably connected. Each lobe 513 is provided with a reinforcing piece 514. The lobes 513 and the curved round part 42 are rotatably connected to each other by means of a small bolt 515. The cardan joints 321 of the support tubes 32 are each pivotally connected to the underside of the side surfaces 52. A cap 322 is placed on each support tube 32, in which a base plate 323 is positioned such that it protrudes from the upper part of the cap 322, with the cardan joint 321 being rotatably connected to the base plate 323. A mounting plate 523 is arranged on the underside of each side surface 52 of the seat surface 50, by means of which the upper end of the cardan joint 321 is fixed. The flaps 513 on the underside of the main surface 51 are positioned facing the main support tube 33, and the cardan joints 321 on the underside of the side surfaces 52 are positioned facing away from the main support tube 33, so that the positioning / connection point on the underside of the main surface 51 and the positioning / connection points on the underside of the two side surfaces 52 are distributed in the form of a triangle. When one side of the main surface 51 is lifted by the sliding bearing 40 so that the main surface 51 gradually tilts, the two side surfaces 52 are folded down laterally. If the sliding bearing 40 is pushed further upwards to a fixed point, the main surface 51 is moved from the inclined position to a vertical position (for vertical folding, see below). Fig. 8 to Fig. (Referred to in 11.), whereby the two side surfaces 52 are moved along with it and thus folded down laterally and gradually transversely, so that the three upper support arms 30, 30A, 300 are also gradually folded together. As mentioned above, the upper gear units 21 of the lower support legs 20 are engaged with the corresponding lower gear units 31 of the upper support arms 30, 30A, 300. The lower gear unit 31 of the first upper support arm 30 consists of two parallel gears that engage simultaneously. As a result, the adjacent second upper support arm 30A is moved along with the movement of the first upper support arm 30. If the first upper support arm 30 is pivoted in one direction, the corresponding lower support leg 20 is also pivoted in the same direction at the same distance by the engagement of the lower gear unit 31 with the upper gear unit 21.The upper gear assembly 21 of the lower support leg 20 consists of two parallel gears. When one gear of the upper gear assembly 21 engages, the adjacent gear also engages, causing the other adjacent lower support leg 20 to move along with the movement of the first lower support leg 20. This means that the second and third upper support arms 30A, 300, located to the left and right of the first upper support arm 30, are moved along with the movement of the first upper support arm 30 and thus folded together. Simultaneously, the lower support legs 20 are moved along with the movement and folded together. In this way, the three lower support legs 20 are then gradually folded and closed synchronously as the first, second, and third upper support arms 30 (including the two support tubes 32 and the main support tube 33) are gradually folded and closed together.
[0012] To fold the seat stick, use the following steps: Fig. 1, Fig. 2 and Fig. 7. By pressing on the anti-slip ribs 436 of the locking button 43, the locking pin 432 of the locking button 43 is released from the lower positioning hole 332 of the main support tube 33. The sliding bearing 40 is then pulled upwards from the main support tube 33 with the fingers until the locking pin 432 of the locking button 43 is inserted into the upper positioning hole 331 of the main support tube 33 (see Fig. 13) Now the inner surfaces of the main surface 51 are raised synchronously and gradually folded down vertically, causing the two side surfaces 52 to move along with them, fold down laterally, and then gradually fold down transversely. Thus, the seat surface 50 is folded together. Because the first, second, and third upper support arms 30, 30A, 300 are moved synchronously with the movement of the main surface 51 and the two side surfaces 52 and then folded together, the lower gear unit 31 of the first upper support arm 30 drives the upper gear unit 21 of the lower support leg 20 such that the three lower support legs 20 join together. As in Fig. 11 and Fig.As shown in Figure 12, the seat stick can be conveniently carried in its folded state and used as a walking stick. Likewise, the locking pin 432 of the locking button 43 is released from the upper positioning hole 331 of the main support tube 33 by pressing on the anti-slip ribs 436 of the locking button 43. The sliding bearing 40 is then pressed down from the main support tube 33 with the fingers until the locking pin 432 of the locking button 43 is inserted into the lower positioning hole 331 of the main support tube 33. Now, the outer surfaces of the main surface 51 are lifted synchronously and gradually folded vertically upwards, which in turn moves the two side surfaces 52, folding them up laterally and then gradually folding them up transversely. This causes the first, second and third upper support arms 30, 30A, 300 (including the two support tubes 32 and the main support tube 33) to move synchronously and unfold into a tripod to support and unfold the seat surface 50.The lower gear unit 31 of the first upper support arm 30 drives the lower gear unit 21 of the one lower support leg 20 such that the lower support legs 20 are unfolded to form a tripod. Thus, the unfolded walking stick with the unfolded seat 50 and the three unfolded lower support legs 20 can be used as a chair outdoors, while traveling, waiting in line, shopping, fishing, etc.
[0013] The folding cane seat according to the invention, which is characterized by the engagement of gears, is distinguished by the following: By raising or lowering the sliding bearing 40, the seat surface 50 is unfolded or folded. The seat surface 50 moves the first, second, and third upper support arms 30, 30A, 300 (including the two support tubes 32 and the main support tube 33) and causes them to close or unfold. The first, second, and third upper support arms 30, 30A, 300, in turn, move the three lower support legs 20 and cause them to close or unfold. The cane seat according to the invention can be folded and unfolded conveniently and easily. The coupled components of the seat cane can be moved and folded or unfolded in just two steps: by pressing the locking button 43 and by pulling up or pushing down the sliding bearing 40. This allows the seat cane to be easily unfolded or folded without any complicated operation, even by elderly people or children. Pressing the locking button 43 requires minimal effort, and inserting the locking pin 432 of the locking button 43 into the lower positioning hole 332 or the upper positioning hole 331 of the main support tube 33 ensures secure use of the seat cane, as this prevents the sliding bearing 40 from being unintentionally raised or lowered from the main support tube 33. This allows the user to sit securely on the seat 50, and the folded seat cane cannot be unintentionally unfolded. The first, second, and third upper support arms 30, 30A, 300, when unfolded, are engaged by the upper inclined edges 112 of the rectangular grooves 11 of the pivot bearing 10 and are thus prevented from displacing themselves from the rectangular grooves 11. The three unfolded lower support legs 20 are engaged by the lower inclined edges 113 of the rectangular grooves 11 of the pivot bearing 10 and are thus prevented from displacing themselves from the rectangular grooves 11. The first, second, and third upper support arms 30, 30A, 300 (including the two support tubes 32 and the main support tube 33) and the three unfolded lower support legs 20 provide substantial support for sitting.According to the invention, the three lower support legs 20 and the first, second, and third upper support arms 30, 30A, 300 are not coupled and moved by means of connecting rods, but rather unfolded and unfolded by the meshing of gears, whereby the seat stick can be unfolded and folded effortlessly and conveniently by the meshing of the gear teeth. This means that the sliding bearing 40 can be easily pulled up or pushed down without being blocked by the connecting rods of a conventional seat stick, allowing the seat stick to be unfolded and folded without hindrance.Furthermore, according to the invention, it is not necessary to arrange several connecting rods, so that there is no risk of fingers being pinched when unfolding and folding the seat stick, whereby by omitting the connecting rods easier assembly of the components, a reduction in manufacturing costs, a reduction in weight and a reduction in the volume of the seat stick are achieved, which is advantageous for storing, packing and transporting the seat stick.Furthermore, according to the invention, it is not necessary to arrange several connecting rods, so that there is no risk of fingers being pinched when unfolding and folding the seat stick, whereby by omitting the connecting rods easier assembly of the components, a reduction in manufacturing costs, a reduction in weight and a reduction in the volume of the seat stick are achieved, which is advantageous for storing, packing and transporting the seat stick.
[0014] Although the present invention has been described in detail with reference to an exemplary embodiment, it is obvious to those skilled in the art that the invention is not limited to this embodiment, but rather that modifications are possible such that individual features can be omitted or different combinations of features can be implemented, as long as the scope of protection of the appended claims is not exceeded.
