Abstract

Embodiments of this disclosure relate to the field of solar cells, and in particular to a solar cell and a method for its production, as well as a photovoltaic module. The solar cell comprises: a P-type emitter formed on a first surface of an N-type substrate and comprising a first part and a second part; an upper surface of the first part comprising first pyramidal structures; and an upper surface of the second part comprising second pyramidal structures with straight edges. A transition surface is formed on at least one edge of each first pyramidal structure, and each of the upper surfaces of at least one part of the first pyramidal structures comprises a spherical or quasi-spherical substructure. A tunneling layer and a doped conducting layer are formed sequentially on a second surface of the N-type substrate.This disclosure may improve the photoelectric conversion performance of solar cells.
