Abstract

A battery module comprising a housing, a plurality of cells, and a heat dissipation and pressure reducing element (1); the cells and the heat dissipation and pressure reducing element (1) are arranged in the housing, characterized in that the heat dissipation and pressure reducing element (1) comprises a liquid-cooled partition (11) and a smoke exhaust and overpressure reducing section (12), wherein the liquid-cooled partition (11) comprises a heat exchange plate (111) and a plurality of heat exchange channels (112) formed in the heat exchange plate (111);the smoke exhaust and pressure reducing part (12) is provided with a pressure reducing channel (13) and a plurality of exhaust openings (14), wherein the pressure reducing channel (13) is formed inside the smoke exhaust and pressure reducing part (12), the smoke exhaust and pressure reducing part (12) is formed of a connecting wall (132) and side walls (131) connected to the connecting wall (132), the connecting wall (132) and the side walls (131) cooperate to define a pressure reducing channel (13) and the exhaust openings (14) are formed in the connecting wall (132) and form an inlet to the pressure reducing channel (13); the heat exchange plate (111) is arranged vertically and is fixed to the connecting wall (132) provided with the exhaust openings (14); the thickness H1 of the side walls (131) of the pressure reducing channel (31) is between 5 and 10 mm;each cell is a square battery and is arranged next to the liquid-cooled partition (11) and the smoke exhaust and pressure reducing part (12), the largest side surface of each cell is fixed to and in contact with the heat exchange plate (111), and one end of each cell with the exhaust openings (14) is pressed against the connecting wall (132); each of the cells is provided with an explosion-proof valve, the valve of which is arranged in correspondence with the exhaust openings (14), the heat dissipation and pressure reducing element (1) further comprises two liquid cooling connectors (17) connected to the heat exchange plate (111) and two pipe elements (18) connected to the liquid cooling connector (17), wherein each of the liquid cooling connectors (17) is provided with a liquid cooling inner cavity (171), and the liquid cooling inner cavity (171) of each of the two liquid cooling connectors (17) provides a continuous passage between the two opposite ends of the heat exchange channel (112) and one of the two pipe elements (18);
