SOL FORMING DEVICES AND METHODS

Abstract

A sole forming device includes a base, a first mold, a second mold, a linkage mechanism, and detachable first and second shoe molds mounted on the second mold. The first mold has first and second mold bodies arranged side by side on the base. The first and second mold bodies have first and second cavities defined therein and are respectively open outward. The second mold is separate from the first mold and is movable between an opening position of the second mold that is separate from the first mold and a closing position of the second mold that is in contact with the first mold. The opening position of the second mold allows the first and second shoe molds to move synchronously with the second mold away from the first mold. The closing position of the second mold allows the first and second shoe molds to be inserted into the first and second cavities respectively.The linkage mechanism moves the mold body from the first mold opening position to the first mold closing position so that a sole forming space is formed between the first cavity and the first shoe mold and is formed between the second cavity and the second shoe mold.
