Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to the field of wiper systems for glazed surfaces, in particular for the windshield or rear window of a vehicle. More specifically, the present invention relates to a wiper of such a wiper system in conjunction with a washing system. [Background technology]
[0002] Generally, a vehicle includes a glazed surface located at the front of the vehicle, so that the driver can see the environment in front of the vehicle. The glazed surface must be transparent and optically neutral so that the driver can clearly see the environment in front of the vehicle. Due to its location, whether the vehicle is stationary or traveling on the road, the glazed surface is exposed to weather conditions, such as, for example, rain, as well as to certain particles or dirt, which may at least partially obstruct the driver's view of the environment in front of the vehicle. To remove these various elements, the vehicle includes a wiper system that can wipe and thus remove water and various elements present on the glazed surface of the vehicle outside the glazed surface of the vehicle.
[0003] It is a known practice that such a wiper system includes at least an arm and a wiper, the arm being fixed at one of its ends to the vehicle and carrying the wiper at its opposite end. The arm is more particularly connected to the shaft of a motor installed in the vehicle, the arm being capable of being driven in a reciprocating motion about the main extension direction of the shaft. The arm itself drives the wiper against the glazed surface of the vehicle to remove water and elements obstructing the driver's view.
[0004] It is a known practice to equip these vehicles with a washing system configured to spray a washing liquid against the glazed surface of the vehicle to facilitate wiping off particles or dirt present on the glazed surface. Such a washing system may include a washing liquid spray nozzle installed on the hood of the vehicle as close as possible to the glazed surface to be washed, and / or a spray manifold installed directly on the arm and / or wiper of the wiper system to spray the washing liquid even closer and even more evenly. Such a spray manifold includes a row of washing liquid spray holes. It is a known practice to install a row of spray holes along the wiper. In this way, the row of spray holes distributes the washing liquid over the entire area to be wiped of the glazed surface that the wiper passes over. However, the shape of the spray holes together with their distribution along the wiper does not provide an optimal wetting of the glazed surface, which results in streaks of washing liquid on the glazed surface after the wiper has passed, or an absence of liquid in certain areas of the glazed surface.
[0005] The present invention falls within this context by proposing a system including a spray manifold that makes it possible to improve the wetting of glazed surfaces compared to already existing systems equipped with a spray manifold. Summary of the Invention
[0006] The main subject of the invention is a wiper of a wiper system for a vehicle, comprising at least one wiper blade held by a support and adapted to wipe a glazed surface of the vehicle, the wiper comprising a spoiler adapted to be connected to a washing system for dispersing a washing liquid, the spoiler comprising a body part provided with a spray manifold for the washing liquid, the spray manifold adapted to be connected to the washing system, the spray manifold extending in the main extension direction of the spoiler and comprising at least one row of spray holes, at least one of the spray holes having a diameter of 0.002 mm or less. 2 ~0.070mm 2and a row of spray holes spaced at intervals of 0.15 to 10 mm along the main extension direction of the spoiler.
[0007] In other words, a spoiler for a wiper according to the invention is configured to be connected to a washing system for dispersing a washing liquid, the spoiler comprising a body part which on the one hand delimits a housing for a support of the wiper blade and on the other hand comprises fins which protrude opposite to the housing, the spoiler comprising a spray manifold for the washing liquid arranged through the body part, the spray manifold comprising at least one distribution pipe extending in a main extension direction of the spoiler, the distribution pipe being configured to be connected to the washing system, the spray manifold comprising a plurality of channels distributed along the main extension direction of the spoiler, the spray manifold comprising a plurality of spray holes, each of the channels extending between the distribution pipe and a spray hole of the plurality of spray holes, at least one of the channels having a diameter of 0.002 mm. 2 ~0.070mm 2 The spoiler includes a cleaning fluid passage area of 10 mm, and the rows of spray holes are spaced 0.15 to 10 mm apart along the main extension direction of the spoiler.

[0011] 0.002mm 2 ~0.070mm 2 The passage area promotes atomization of the cleaning fluid, which increases the wetting of the cleaning fluid on the vehicle's glass surfaces.
[0012] Furthermore, the spacing between two spray holes in the same row of 0.15-10 mm optimizes the distribution of the mist cleaning fluid to the glazed surface of the vehicle. Specifically, the spray holes are therefore arranged along the entire spoiler to ensure regular distribution of the mist cleaning fluid along the entire spoiler.
[0013] Such spacing between the spray holes also makes it possible to obtain the best compromise between cleaning quality (ie wetting) and consumption of cleaning fluid.

[0057] The features, variants, and different embodiments of the invention may be combined with each other in various combinations, unless they are incompatible or mutually exclusive. In particular, it is possible to conceive of variants of the invention that include only a selection of the features described hereinafter, separately from other features described, where such selection of features provides a technical advantage and / or is sufficient to distinguish the invention from the prior art.
[0058] In the following description, the terms "longitudinal", "lateral" and "vertical" refer to the orientation of a spoiler according to the invention. The longitudinal direction corresponds to the main extension direction of the spoiler, which longitudinal direction is parallel to the longitudinal axis L of the coordinate system L, V, T shown in the figures. The vertical direction corresponds to the direction in which the spoiler fins extend, which vertical direction is parallel to the vertical axis V of the coordinate system L, V, T, which vertical axis V is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis L. Finally, the transverse direction corresponds to the direction parallel to the transverse axis T of the coordinate system L, V, T, which transverse axis T is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis L and to the vertical axis V.
[0059] As shown in Fig. 1, a vehicle 1 is equipped with a wiper system 2 arranged on a glazed surface 4 of the vehicle 1. The wiper system 2 comprises at least a first wiper device 6 consisting of a first wiper 8 and a first wiper arm 10. The first wiper arm 10 is fixed at one of its ends to the vehicle 1 and at the other of its ends to the first wiper 8, which is arranged on the glazed surface 4 of the vehicle 1. More specifically, the first wiper arm 10 is fixed to a drive arm constituting an electric motor, the drive arm and the electric motor not being shown in all of the figures.
[0060] The electric motor tends to drive the first wiper arm 10 in a reciprocating motion, which in turn drives the first wiper 8 in this reciprocating motion over the glazed surface 4 of the vehicle 1. Thanks to this motion, the first wiper 8 scrubs the glazed surface 4 of the vehicle 1 to clean it. The wiper system 2 includes a second wiper device 6 having the same features as the first wiper device 6, including a second wiper 8 and a second wiper arm 10.
[0061] Furthermore, the term “wiper device 6” may equally refer to the first wiper device 6 with respect to the second wiper device 6. Similarly, the term “wiper arm 10” may equally refer to the first wiper arm 10 with respect to the second wiper arm 10, while the term “wiper 8” may also equally refer to the first wiper 8 with respect to the second wiper 8.
[0062] In addition, the components of the second wiper device 6 are identical to the components of the first wiper device 6. Hence, the following description of the features of the components of the first wiper device 6 is applicable to the components of the second wiper device 6, in particular for the second wiper 8 and the second wiper arm 10.
[0063] The vehicle 1 is also equipped with a washing system 12 which sprays a washing fluid onto the glazed surface 4 of the vehicle 1 in order to optimize wiping of the glazed surface 4 by the wiper system 2. For this purpose, the washing system 12 comprises a pump 14 which advances the washing fluid from a storage container through a distribution network 16 towards at least one spray manifold 18. The distribution network 16 connects the pump 14 to at least a first spray manifold 18 which is provided to a first wiper 8. The distribution network 16 connects the pump 14 to the first spray manifold 18 as well as to a second spray manifold 18 which is arranged on the second wiper 8. In the remainder of the description, the term "spray manifold 18" refers equally to one and / or the other of the first and second spray manifolds 18.
[0064] As shown diagrammatically in Figures 1 and 2, the wiper 8 according to the invention comprises at least one spoiler 22 and a wiper blade 24, both of which extend mainly in a longitudinal direction L. The wiper blade 24 is the element of the wiper 8 that is in direct contact with the glazed surface 4 of the vehicle 1. The spoiler 22 is the element that optimizes the aerodynamics of the wiper 8 by using the force generated by the wind when the vehicle 1 is moving to press the wiper blade 24 and keep it in contact with the glazed surface 4 of the vehicle 1. Furthermore, the wiper blade 24 comprises a support that is intended to be held by the spoiler 22, which comprises a housing 25 for the support. It is to be noted that the support of the wiper blade 24 interacts with the housing 25 of the spoiler 22 to fix the wiper blade 24 to the spoiler 22.
[0065] The spoiler 22 will now be described in more detail with particular reference to Figures 2-6.
[0066] 2 to 4 illustrate more specifically the spoiler 22 of the wiper 8 according to the invention. The wiper 8 comprises at least a spray manifold 18 for spraying the cleaning fluid, which comprises at least one distribution pipe 26 for the cleaning fluid and a number of channels 28 extending between the distribution pipe 26 and a number of spray holes 30. More specifically, the distribution pipe 26 is connected to the distribution network 16 of the washing system 12, the pump 14 of the latter forcing a flow of the cleaning fluid into the distribution pipe 26. The cleaning fluid then flows from the distribution pipe 26 through the channels 28 towards the spray holes 30 assigned to each channel 28. It is to be noted that the cleaning fluid is sprayed against the glazed surface 4 of the vehicle 1 at the spray holes 30. In this configuration, the pump 14 of the washing system 12 makes it possible to force a flow of the cleaning fluid from the storage container 20 into the spray holes 30.
[0067] A more detailed description of the spray manifold 18 is provided following a general description of the spoiler 22 set forth below with reference to FIGS.
[0068] The spoiler 22 includes a body portion 32 having at least one top wall 34 from which at least one fin 36 and the spray manifold 18 extend.
[0069] According to the example illustrated in Figures 2-4, the body portion 32 includes at least two side walls 38 and a top wall 34, which serve to delimit a housing 25 for the support of the wiper blade 24. More specifically, the top wall 34 extends primarily in a plane parallel to the longitudinal direction L and the lateral direction T. The side walls 38 each extend in a plane parallel to the longitudinal direction L and the vertical direction V, each extending from one of the lateral ends of the top wall 34. Each of the side walls 38 extends from the top wall 34 facing the other side wall 38, away from the fin 36.
[0070] In other words, the side walls 38 and the top wall 34 of the spoiler 22 extend such that a section of the side walls 38 and a section of the top wall 34 have a "U" shape, seen in a plane perpendicular to a main extension direction A of the spoiler 22, which main extension direction A is substantially parallel to the longitudinal direction L. It should be noted that the side walls 38 form the arms of the "U" and that the top wall 34 forms the base of the "U".
[0071] Each of the side walls 38 has at one free end a fixing claw 40 which extends from said free end towards the other fixing claw 40. Each fixing claw 40 serves, on the one hand, to delimit the housing 25 for the wiper blade support and, on the other hand, to fix the support of the wiper blade 24 to the spoiler 22.
[0072] The fin 36 includes a base 42 that connects a portion of the fin 36 that extends to the top wall 34 in a plane parallel to the longitudinal direction L and the vertical direction V. More specifically, the fin 36 has a curved portion 44 at its base 42, which connects the top wall 34 to a free end of the fin 36 and thus joins the main extension plane of the top wall 34 with the main extension plane of the fin 36. The curved portion 44 at the base 42 of the fin 36 provides the spoiler 22 with an aerodynamic advantage that in particular enables the wiper blade 24 to remain pressed against the glazed surface 4 of the vehicle 1 when the vehicle is moving.
[0073] As can be seen more particularly in Figures 2-4, the spray manifold 18 extends primarily in a primary extension direction A through the body portion 32 of the spoiler 22, for example, on one of the side walls 38 of the body portion 32.
[0074] In the embodiment of FIG. 2, the spray manifold 18 includes a single row of spray holes 30 .
[0075] In the embodiment of FIGS. 3-6, the spray manifold 18 includes at least two rows of spray holes 30. As shown in FIG.
[0076] According to the present invention, at least one of the spray holes 30 is 0.002 mm 2 ~0.070mm 2 , and the spray holes 30 per row are spaced apart at intervals of 0.15 to 10 mm along the main extension direction A of the spoiler 22.
[0077] In other words, at least one of the channels 28 is 0.002 mm 2 ~0.070mm 2 10 mm, and the spacing between the channels of the same row is 0.15-10 mm along the main extension direction A of the spoiler. According to an optional feature of the invention, all of the channels of the spoiler have a spacing of 0.01 mm 2 ~0.070mm 2 According to an optional feature of the invention, all of the spoiler channels have a cleaning fluid passage area of 0.02 mm.2 ~0.070mm 2 The cleaning liquid passing area is 100 mm.
[0078] 0.002mm 2 ~0.070mm 2 The area of the channel 28 having a surface area of 0.002 mm optimizes atomization of the cleaning liquid as it flows through the channel 28 from the distribution tube 26 towards the spray holes 30. The cleaning liquid flows in liquid state at the inlet of the channel 28 in the direction of the flow of the cleaning liquid in the channel 28, and the cleaning liquid in liquid state then flows down to a surface area of 0.002 mm before being discharged in the form of a mist at the spray holes 30. 2 ~0.070mm 2 It should be understood from the above that the spray is atomized in an area having a surface area of 100 nm to 150 nm. Moreover, this atomization increases the wettability of the glazed surface 4 of the vehicle 1, particularly in the area to be wiped by the wiper 8.
[0079] 0.002mm 2 ~0.070mm 2 The passage area of the channel 28 is preferably close to the spray holes 30. It should be noted that the atomization effect provided by this area of the channel 28 is optimized when this area is located as close as possible to the spray holes 30.
[0080] According to the present invention, 0.002 mm 2 ~0.070mm 2 The passage area of the channel 28 coincides with the spray hole 30. In other words, if the spray hole 30 is 0.002 mm 2 ~0.070mm 2 That is, the cleaning liquid passes through an area of 100 mm.
[0081] According to an alternative embodiment of the present invention, 0.002 mm 2 ~0.070mm 2 The passage area of the channel 28 does not coincide with the spray holes 30 .
[0082] According to the example illustrated herein, each channel 28 of the plurality of channels 28 may have a diameter of 0.002 mm. 2~0.070mm 2 The cleaning liquid passing area is 100 mm.
[0083] In accordance with an optional feature of the invention, at least one of the channels 28 is 0.002 mm 2 ~0.070mm 2 The cleaning liquid passing area is 100 mm.
[0084] Furthermore, a spacing between the spray holes 30 in the same row of 0.15 to 10 mm allows optimizing the distribution of the atomized cleaning liquid on the glazed surface 4 of the vehicle 1 and thus obtaining the best compromise between cleaning quality (i.e. wetting) and consumption of cleaning liquid.
[0085] Specifically, the spacing between the spray holes 30 in the same row disposed along the entire spoiler 22 ensures a regular distribution of the mist cleaning fluid along the entire spoiler 22. It will be appreciated from the above that the distribution of the mist cleaning fluid along the entire spoiler 22 promotes better wetting along the entire spoiler 22 and allows for a homogenous distribution of the spoiler 22, thereby preventing marking on the glazed surface 4 of the vehicle 1 while optimizing consumption of the cleaning fluid.
[0086] Such a combination of spacing features between the multiple channels 28 / spray holes 30 therefore makes it possible, on the one hand, to optimize the phenomenon of atomization of the cleaning liquid along the spoiler 22 and, on the other hand, a better wetting of the glazed surface 4 of the vehicle 1 likewise along the entire spoiler 22.
[0087] According to one aspect of the invention, the total area of the spray holes 30 is less than 1 mm 2 ~3mm 2 The term “total area” refers to the sum of the traverse areas of all of the spray holes 30 of the spray manifold 18.
[0088] According to a first exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the spray manifold 18 may include a specific number of channels 28 spaced apart with spray holes 30 having a defined passage area, e.g., the passage area of each spray hole 30 may be less than 1 mm. 2 ~3mm2 The sum of the passage areas of the spray holes 30 referred to in this case corresponds to the total area mentioned above.
[0089] According to a second exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the spray manifold 18 may include a greater number of channels 28 spaced closer together than in the first example, with each dedicated spray hole 30 of the channels 28 having a smaller passage area than that of the spray holes 30 in the first example, i.e., less than 1 mm. 2 has a transit area of less than
[0090] According to a third exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the spray manifold 18 may include a smaller number of channels 28 spaced apart at greater intervals than in the first example, with each dedicated spray hole 30 of the channels 28 having a larger passage area than that of the spray holes 30 in the first example, i.e., for example, 3 mm. 2 It has a larger passing area.
[0091] 2 to 4 , the multiple channels 28 are uniformly distributed along the main extension direction A of the spoiler 22. The term “uniform” means that the multiple channels 28 form a pattern that is repeated several times along the main extension direction A of the spoiler 22, the pattern being formed by at least one spray hole 30.
[0092] 3 and 4, the pattern of channels 28 has the shape of slots extending at least partially radially around the distribution pipe 26. This slot-like pattern is replicated at regular intervals along the distribution pipe 26, i.e. along the main extension direction A of the spoiler 22.
[0093] According to another alternative of the invention, the plurality of channels 28 are irregularly distributed along the main extension direction A of the spoiler 22. It is to be understood that the pattern formed by at least one channel 28 is not replicated along the main extension direction A, and a first distance separating two first channels 28 adjacent to each other is different from a second distance separating two other channels 28 adjacent to each other.
[0094] In addition, the spray holes 30, and therefore the channels 28, are radially distributed around the distribution pipe 26 over an angular sector of 5° to 30° according to an optional feature of the invention, which corresponds to a sector facing the area of the glazed surface 4 to be wiped by the wiper 8. This angular sector is measured, for example, from a main extension plane of the side wall 38, which plane is parallel to the longitudinal direction L and the vertical direction V. In this way, the mist cleaning liquid is sprayed directly on the glazed surface 4 of the vehicle 1 at the spray holes 30, thus limiting the loss of the mist cleaning liquid in the external environment of the vehicle 1.
[0095] The first embodiment of the invention illustrated in FIG. 5 will now be described in more detail, before describing a second embodiment of the invention with reference to FIG.
[0096] According to a first embodiment of the present invention, and as shown in FIG. 5, at least one channel 28 of the plurality of channels 28 extends from the distribution tube 26 to a spray hole 30 having a circular shape.
[0097] The channel 28 extends in the form of a hollow cylinder between the distribution pipe 26 and the spray holes 30. It should therefore be understood that the channel 28 has a single, uniform area between the distribution pipe 26 and the spray holes 30.
[0098] According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, the channel 28 extends in the form of a cone between the distribution pipe 26 and the spray hole 30. The passage area of the channel 28 may thus be open towards the outside, i.e. the passage area of the channel 28 tends to increase as it approaches the spray hole 30. Conversely, the passage area of the channel 28 may be closed towards the outside, i.e. the passage area of the channel 28 tends to decrease as it approaches the spray hole 30.
[0099] In accordance with an optional feature of the present invention, the multiple channels 28 have the same area between the distribution conduit 26 and the spray holes 30 dedicated to each channel 28. More specifically, each channel 28 has a similar shape and extends between the distribution conduit 26 and the spray holes 30 having the same shape.
[0100] Additionally, and as shown in FIG. 5 , the plurality of channels 28 includes at least two alignments 46 of channels 28 aligned in a direction transverse to the primary extension direction A of the spoiler 22 .
[0101] It should be noted that at least two first channels 28 are aligned in a direction intersecting the primary extension direction A to form a first alignment 46, and at least two other channels 28 are aligned in a direction intersecting the primary extension direction A to form a second alignment 46, the first alignment 46 and the second alignment 46 extending parallel to each other.
[0102] According to an optional feature of the invention, the first alignment 46 and the second alignment 46 extend perpendicular to the main extension direction A of the spoiler 22 .
[0103] 5, at least some of the channels 28 are distributed in a staggered manner across the body portion 32 of the spoiler 22. The term "staggered" means that a first group of the spray holes 30 are aligned in a first direction parallel to the primary extension direction A, and a second group of the spray holes 30 are aligned in a second direction parallel to the primary extension direction A, the first direction being different from the second direction. In other words, the spray holes 30 are aligned with each other while being radially offset from each other.
[0104] A second embodiment of the invention, shown in FIG. 6, will now be described in more detail.
[0105] According to a second embodiment of the invention and as shown in Fig. 6, at least one channel 28 extends from the distribution tube 26 to the spray hole 30 having a rectangular shape. In this configuration, the channel 28 may extend in the form of a hollow cuboid having the same area all the way from the distribution tube 26 to the spray hole 30. However, a channel 28 extending in the form of a hollow cuboid with a channel 28 area that varies between the distribution tube 26 and the spray hole 30 does not depart from the scope of the invention.
[0106] 6 , the plurality of channels 28 includes at least two rows 48 of channels 28 that are aligned with the primary extension direction A of the spoiler 22. In this manner, the plurality of channels 28 are organized into rows 48 that are disposed parallel to one another and parallel to the primary extension direction A of the spoiler 22. The plurality of spray holes 30 also extend within the rows 48 in a direction parallel to the primary extension direction A of the spoiler 22.
[0107] Cumulatively, the channels 28 and the spray holes 30 may also be organized in an array 46 in a direction intersecting or perpendicular to the main extension direction A of the spoiler 22, in addition to the previously described rows 48. It should be understood that the channels 28 and the spray holes 30 are aligned with each other to form a grid.
[0108] According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, at least one channel 28 extends from the distribution pipe 26 to the spray holes 30 having a star shape. The channel 28 may also extend from the distribution pipe 26 to the spray holes 30 having a star-shaped section.
[0109] Moreover, at least one spray hole 30 has a different shape than another spray hole 30. It should be understood here that the majority of the spray holes 30 extend in a first shape, e.g., circular, and that at least one spray hole 30 extends in a second shape, e.g., rectangular.
[0110] In this configuration, it may be contemplated that the plurality of spray holes 30 includes a first set of spray holes 30 having a first shape and a second set of spray holes 30 having a second shape, the first set of spray holes being alternated with the second set of spray holes 30 distributed along the main extension direction A of the spoiler 22. This alternating configuration may be, for example, an alternating configuration of a first array 46 of spray holes 30 having a first shape and a second array 46 of spray holes 30 having a second shape.
[0111] However, the present invention is not limited to the means and configurations described and illustrated in this document, but extends to all equivalent means and configurations, as well as any technically operable combination of such means. In particular, the rows 48 and arrays 46 of holes may be organized in a staggered arrangement, as explained earlier in this description. Moreover, the spray holes 30, like the area of at least one channel 28, may have shapes different from those described above, so long as they achieve the objectives set by the present invention.
