Abstract

To provide a die-sensitized solar cell capable of suppressing deterioration in adhesiveness of a seal part, and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: A die-sensitized solar cell comprises: a light transmissive substrate; a first electrode layer provided in the light transmissive substrate; an electrolyte layer provided on a principal surface of the first electrode layer at an opposite side of the light transmissive substrate and including an electrolyte; a second electrode layer provided on a principal surface of the electrolyte layer at an opposite side of the first electrode layer; and a seal part extending from a side face of the light transmissive substrate to a surface of the second electrode layer at an opposite side of the electrolyte layer. The second electrode layer extends to a front side of a side face of the electrolyte layer in an in-plane direction, such that a step is formed from a side face of the second electrode layer, a principal surface of the electrolyte layer at the side of the second electrode layer and the side face of the electrolyte layer. The second electrode layer includes: a first metal layer; and a second metal layer which is disposed at an opposite side of the electrolyte layer rather than the first metal layer and oxidized more easily than the first metal layer. The first metal layer extends to a side face of the second metal layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
