Description

[0001] ELECTROMAGNET WITH MAGNETIC CASSETTE

[0002] TECHNICAL FIELD

[0003] The invention relates to an electromagnet for producing a magnetic field from electric current.

[0004] PRIOR ART

[0005] An electromagnet refers to a device or assembly that produces a magnetic field around a wire carrying electric current. An electromagnet acquires magnetic features by creating a magnetic field around a conductor carrying electric current. The electromagnet can be used in various applications due to the controllability of the magnetic field. The basic structure of the electromagnet consists of a coil (solenoid). The coil is formed by cyclically winding a conductive wire. When the electric current passes through the coil, a magnetic field is created around the coil. This magnetic field enables the electromagnet to acquire magnetic features. An important feature of the electromagnet is that the magnetic field is controllable. As the current intensity increases, the magnetic field strength increases, and as the current intensity decreases, the magnetic field weakens or disappears completely. Therefore, the electromagnets can be used as a switch, as well as in many applications such as electric motors, generators, magnetic clutch systems, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) devices.

[0006] Application No. CN104916385A, known in the literature, is related to axial cooling and radial coil type high-speed electromagnet. The object of the invention is to provide an axially cooled, radial coil type high-speed electromagnet with high response, good heat dissipation and high reliability. In the electromagnet of the invention, the axial cooling type iron core is cylindrical and is formed with a cylindrical through hole in the center and concentric ring-shaped grooves on the end surfaces. Thus, a primary magnetic pole and a secondary magnetic pole are formed outside and inside. At least two through holes are formed axially in the ring-shaped grooves. The cross-sections of through holes are fan-shaped or waist-shaped. The through holes are evenly distributed around the central periphery of the ring-shaped grooves. At least two fan- shaped grooves are formed on the surface of the iron core and are distributed evenly around the iron core.

[0007] Application No. CN105448454A, known in the literature, relates to radial multi-coil highspeed electromagnet. The object of the invention is to provide a radial multi-coil highspeed electromagnet with high reliability and good heat dissipation. The multi-coil highspeed electromagnet of the invention comprises an outer shell, an iron core and a coil. The iron core comprises a primary magnetic pole and an auxiliary magnetic pole. The primary magnetic pole has a cylindrical structure. The auxiliary magnetic pole is equipped with a through hole in the center. The primary magnetic pole is arranged in the through hole of the auxiliary magnetic pole. A convex ring is arranged on the primary magnetic pole, primary magnetic pole or auxiliary magnetic pole of the outer shell sleeves. The core is formed between two adjacent through holes. The coil is wound radially around the core.

[0008] There are a number of difficulties during the manufacture of electromagnets known in the state of the art. The main difficulties are explained below:

[0009] - Coil Winding: The coil, which is the basic component of the electromagnet, must be wound correctly and properly. It is important to wind the wire properly, to create the desired magnetic field and to ensure that the electric current passes homogeneously. Coil winding can be complex and may need to have low tolerances.

[0010] - Conductivity and Material Selection: It is important to select a suitable conductive material for the efficient operation of the electromagnet. Current loss can be minimized by selecting a good electrical conductor. The magnetic features of the coil material must also be taken into account, since these features can affect the strength of the magnetic field.

[0011] - Heat Management: The electromagnet may become hot during the operation, and in case of overheating, its performance may be affected or damaged. Therefore, the thermal management must be considered during the design and fabrication of the electromagnet. The appropriate materials and cooling methods must be used to ensure good thermal conduction and cooling. - Assembly and Integration: The electromagnet is often used as part of another system. Therefore, the correct assembly and integration of the electromagnet is also important. Appropriate assembly methods and connection points must be correctly designed and implemented.

[0012] Efficiency and Performance: It is aimed for the electromagnet to work efficiently and provide the desired performance. Careful design and quality control during the manufacturing process ensures that energy losses are minimized and the magnetic field is produced homogeneously. Performance tests and calibrations are important to verify that the electromagnet complies with the desired properties.

[0013] - Cost: The cost factor should also be taken into account in electromagnet manufacturing. A good balance needs to be achieved. Appropriate material selection, optimization of production processes and efficient resource use are important to reduce costs.

[0014] As a result, all the above-mentioned problems have made it necessary to realize a novelty in the relevant technical field.

[0015] SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0016] The present invention relates to an electromagnet with a magnetic cassette to eliminate the above-mentioned disadvantages and bring the new advantages to the relevant technical field.

[0017] An object of the invention is to produce an electromagnet with easier manufacturing conditions and reduced production costs.

[0018] In order to accomplish all the objects mentioned above and to be revealed from the detailed description below, the present invention is an electromagnet for producing a magnetic field from electric current. Accordingly, the novelty is that it comprises at least one bottom part, at least one inner core located around the center of said bottom part, at least one outer core positioned around the bottom part, at least one intermediate layer around the inner core, at least one winding gap for the coil winding adjacent to the intermediate layer, and at least one insulation material adjacent to said winding gap, and the inner core, bottom part, outer core and intermediate layer are made of a metal-based (iron) material, and the insulation material is made of an electrical- and / or magnetic-insulating material. Thus, a magnetic cassette structure is obtained for an electromagnet with simplified manufacturing conditions and reduced production costs.

[0019] A possible embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the bottom part comprises at least one hole for the tight connection of the bottom part and the inner core. Thus, the inner core can be inserted into the hole of the bottom part and assembled tightly. This structure ensures that the magnetic cassette is formed and has a more robust and stable structure.

[0020] Another possible embodiment of the invention is characterized in that a plurality of intermediate layers are provided depending on the expected strength. Thus, the core mass of the magnetic cassette for the electromagnet can be increased based on the magnetic field strength and the desired performance can be achieved. As the number of intermediate layers increases, the core mass increases and the direct magnetic field strength also increases, allowing the electromagnet to produce stronger magnetic fields.

[0021] Another possible embodiment of the invention is characterized in that it comprises at least one cable path to allow the conductive wires to enter and exit the winding gap. Thus, the conductive wire can easily enter and exit the winding gap in which the coil will be wound. The cable path allows the wire to exit the magnetic cassette while also providing protection and order.

[0022] Another possible embodiment of the invention is characterized in that cable path is in the form of at least one channel and at least one notch. Thus, there is both a channel and a notch in the cable path. The channel serves as the path through which the conductive wire passes, while the notch refers to the indentation in the geometry of the intermediate layer or bottom part. This structure provides an important function for routing and protecting the conductive wire. Another possible embodiment of the invention is characterized in that said channel is located around the insulation material. Thus, the cable path is located near the insulation material and helps to ensure the insulation of the conductive wire. This structure is important to protect the magnetism insulation along with electricity and to ensure safety.

[0023] Another possible embodiment of the invention is characterized in that said notch is located on the intermediate layer and the bottom part. Thus, the notch forms an indentation in the geometry of the intermediate layer or bottom part. This structure ensures that the path through which the conductive wire passes is smooth and safe. The presence of the notch also helps to correctly route the conductive wire and contributes to a more regular and effective operation of the electromagnet.

[0024] Another possible embodiment of the invention is characterized in that it has an outer core in cylindrical form or geometric forms. Thus, the form and design of the electromagnet adapt to different application requirements. The cylindrical form is a commonly used form and is preferred in general-purpose electromagnet designs. Conditionally, the geometric form can be used to adapt to more specific applications and narrow spaces. These embodiments allow the electromagnet to adapt to different areas of use and requirements.

[0025] Thanks to the magnetic cassette on the electromagnet, the iron materials with surfaces in different geometric forms are provided with the outer core feature thanks to the developed magnetic cassette. While the outer core is a cylindrical pipe in the first application, the rectangular, triangular and geometric forms opened into different geometric forms also show the core mass features thanks to the magnetic cassette. In addition, while the outer core has different geometric forms, it may comprise a single magnetic cassette, or the magnetic cassettes consisting of more than one winding, rather than a coil-wound structure, can be placed inside the outer core in an orthogonal or polar plane. In this way, a common outer core mass can be operated with coil windings with different magnetic cassettes simultaneously, sequentially or in different working sequences.

[0029] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0030] In this detailed description, the subject of the invention is only described with the examples without any limiting effect for a better understanding of the subject.

[0031] Fig. 1 shows a representative perspective view of the electromagnet (10) of the invention with the magnetic cassette. Accordingly, the electromagnet (10) of the invention refers to a device or mechanism that produces a magnetic field around a wire carrying electric current. The electromagnet (10) acquires magnetic features by creating a magnetic field around a conductor carrying electric current. The magnetic field of the electromagnet (10) may vary depending on the direction of the current. The electromagnet (10) of the invention has widespread usage areas. For example, the electromagnet (10) is widely used in many areas such as electric motors, generators, magnetic clutch systems, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) devices, speakers, etc. In addition, the electromagnet (10) can convert electrical energy into magnetic energy and convert magnetic energy back into electrical energy, which allows it to be used in many technological applications.

[0032] Fig. 2 shows a representative perspective view of the electromagnet (10) of the invention with the magnetic cassette. Accordingly, the electromagnet (10) of the invention comprises at least one bottom part (11 ) and at least one inner core (13) around the center of said bottom part (11 ). There is at least one outer core (14) around the bottom part (11 ). The bottom part (11) is essentially shaped in a flat form. There is at least one hole (12) in the center of the bottom part (11) for placing the inner core (13). The core (13) is placed in said hole (12). In order to assemble the inner core (13), the outer core (14) and the bottom part (11), a tight-fitting assembly can be performed therebetween. In alternative embodiments, the bottom part (11 ) and the cores can also be assembled with different assembly processes, allowing electrical transmission therebetween, but the invention is not limited thereto. There is at least one outer core (14) around the bottom part (11) to allow sphere formation. Said outer core (14) is placed on the bottom part (11) and provides the housing of the elements inside and the formation of a sphere. The bottom part (11 ), outer core (14) and inner core (13) are manufactured from metal-based material, particularly iron material.

[0033] Fig. 3 shows a representative side view of the electromagnet (10) of the invention with the magnetic cassette. Accordingly, there is at least one intermediate layer (15) around the inner core (13). Said intermediate layer (15) is made of iron material and is positioned around the inner core (13). There may be a plurality of intermediate layers

[0034] (15) to increase the magnetic field strength of the electromagnet (10). In this way, the strength of the electromagnet (10) can be changed based on the increase in the core mass in the number of intermediate layers (15). In addition, the height of the core (13) can be changed depending on the number of intermediate layers (15) to be used on the electromagnet (10). In this way, it is provided that the electromagnet (10) has a gap-free structure.

[0035] There is at least one winding gap (16) adjacent to the intermediate layer (15) on the electromagnet (10) with the magnetic cassette. The coil is positioned in said winding gap (16). The coil is usually formed by cyclically winding a conductive wire. When the electric current passes through the coil, a magnetic field is created around the coil. The strength of the magnetic field depends on the intensity of the electric current and the number of turns of the coil. The magnetic field of the electromagnets (10) can be concentrated between the ends of the coil. There may be at least one insulation material (18) adjacent to the coil on the electromagnet (10). Said insulation material (18) is manufactured from an electrical- and magnetic-insulating material. Thus, the inner core (13) and outer core (14) of the electromagnet (10) are provided to have a spherical feature.

[0036] There is at least one cable path (17) on the electromagnet (10) to allow the conductive wires to enter and exit the winding gap (16). Said cable path (17) is essentially in the form of a channel (171 ) provided on the intermediate layer (15) or insulation material (18) and allows the conductive wire to be passed therethrough. In addition, there may be a cable route (17) in the form of a notch (172) on the intermediate layer (15) and on the bottom part (11). Said notch (172) is essentially an indentation form provided on the geometric form of the intermediate layer (15) or bottom part (11 ). In this way, the conductive wire can be enter and exit the coil wrapped around the inner core (13).

[0037] The electromagnet (10) with the magnetic cassette of the invention is preferably cylindrical in shape. In other words, the bottom part (11), intermediate layer (15), insulation material (18) and outer core (14) are cylindrically shaped. However, it can also have a geometric structure (polygonal such as a triangle or a quadrilateral), but the invention is not limited thereto. In this way, the usage areas of the electromagnet (10) are increased. In addition, the outer core (14) can be freed from a fixed form and the outer cores (14) can be created to produce the electromagnets (10) in different geometric forms for large-mass magnetic forces.

[0038] The intermediate layers are placed on the inner core (13) of the electromagnet (10) based on the magnetic force that will occur after the winding. After the intermediate layers (15), the outer core (14), which will be tightly driven to the outer core (14), is assembled with the inner core (13) by tight-driving. Subsequently, the insulation material (18) and the insulation material (18) with the cable channel (171 ) to protect the cable layout are added. The bottom part (11) will be aligned to the lower part of the inner core (13), and the insulation material (18) will be aligned to the upper part of the inner core (13). The winding gap (16) formed in this way and the winding will be realized directly on the magnetic cassette. After the necessary cable soldering and insulation processes are completed, the outer core notch (172) and the inner cassette notches (172) are routed to the same direction, and the completed magnetic cassette system is driven to the outer core (14). After this process, an aluminum outer cassette is driven onto the plastic cassette to distribute the heat conduction to the surface and protect the winding.
