Description

[0001] AQUATIC PHYSIOTHERAPY TANK FOR REHABILITATION

[0002] TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0003] The present invention relates to the technical field of medical devices, biomedical engineering, electronics and more specifically physiotherapy, since it provides an aquatic physiotherapy tank for rehabilitation.

[0004] BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0005] Rehabilitation physical therapy is a therapeutic approach used to help people recover from injuries, surgeries, or medical conditions that affect their mobility and physical function. Physical therapists, healthcare professionals trained in physical therapy, play a crucial role in the design and implementation of personalized rehabilitation programs.

[0006] Aquatic physiotherapy, also known as hydrotherapy or aquatic therapy, is a form of physical therapy performed in water, in tanks or pools. In this therapeutic approach, a physical therapist uses the physical properties of water to aid in the treatment and rehabilitation of various medical conditions. Some of the properties of water utilized in aquatic physiotherapy include buoyancy, resistance, and temperature.

[0007] A search was conducted for the state of the art on aquatic physiotherapy tanks for rehabilitation, where it was found that different tanks have been developed for this purpose, as mentioned in German patent application document number DE10220288 (A1), with publication date of November 27, 2003, entitled “FACILITIES AND PROCEDURES FOR CARRYING OUT AQUATIC SPORTS”, which describes a facility for practicing water sports with at least one sports equipment and a container filled with water, it is proposed to have one or more sports equipment, such as training bikes, treadmills, dumbbells or weight benches, to be installed in the water container which will be filled with water to such an extent that the body of a person training sports is essentially under water, but at least his head protrudes from the water. As part of the invention, a method for performing water sports using the proposed system is also described.

[0008] Also found was Chinese patent document No. CN1 14210023 (B), publication date March 22, 2022, titled “UNDERWATER AUXILIARY REHABILITATION TRAINING AND REAL-TIME MONITORING DEVICE FOR SPORTS INJURIES BASED ON THE INTERNET OF THINGS,” which describes an underwater auxiliary rehabilitation training and real-time monitoring device for sports injuries based on the Internet of Things. The device generates resistance in the water and simultaneously provides walking training, thereby completing injury rehabilitation exercise in an underwater walking mode. The device includes a water-saving roller pedal assembly comprising a pool barrel, a height adjustment bracket, a control panel, a handrail, a rope, a roller pedal, and a water circulation system.

[0009] Finally, the patent application document of China No. CN1 15721554 (A), with publication date of March 3, 2023, entitled “REHABILITATION PHYSIOTHERAPY EQUIPMENT”, was found, which describes rehabilitation physiotherapy equipment comprising a box body, a second working area, a third working area, a fourth working area, a fifth working area, a moxibustion box, a massage colloid, a field plate, and an intelligent controller. The moxibustion box has the technical effects that the box is a box body, an exhaust fan, an auxiliary air supply tube, a bubble stone, a movable part, a limiting plate, a spring, and a vibration motor. The multifunctional foot massager has the advantages of providing a complete physiotherapy system, improving body immunity and resistance, and has the functions of foot massage, effectively promoting foot blood circulation, and ultraviolet irradiation. The aforementioned documents do not describe having fixed mechanisms for training or rehabilitating legs, shoulders, and arms, which can also be used simultaneously; nor do they show evidence that said mechanisms have elements that allow increasing the resistance of the exercise to increase the user's effort. Furthermore, the previous documents do not show evidence of having a heating medium and temperature sensors that allow changing the water temperature and maintaining it at the programmed temperature to improve the user's rehabilitation. Nor do they describe a folding seat and an armrest to facilitate the therapy. The previous documents also do not show evidence of having a ladder that facilitates access to the device, nor do they make reference to having elements that allow real-time monitoring of the user's vital signs.

[0012] The present invention also has the object of providing an aquatic physiotherapy tank for rehabilitation, which has mechanisms installed for shoulders, arms and legs, for training or rehabilitation, which can also be used simultaneously, where water allows to minimize effort and wear.

[0013] Another object of the present invention is to provide an aquatic physiotherapy tank for rehabilitation, which has tensioners and counterweights installed that allow increasing the resistance of the exercise to increase the effort by the user.

[0014] A further object of the present invention is to provide an aquatic physiotherapy tank for rehabilitation, which integrates a temperature controller and a sensor that allow the water temperature to be changed and maintained at the programmed temperature to improve the user's rehabilitation.

[0015] Another object of the present invention is to provide an aquatic physiotherapy tank for rehabilitation, which has a folding seat and an arm support stand to facilitate the performance of the therapy.
