Description

TECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present application relates to the technical field of communication, and in particular to an information processing method, a communication device, and a storage medium. BACKGROUND

[0002] The network device generally implements positioning of the terminal device by using an Observed Time Difference Of Arrival (UTDOA) positioning method, which measures the arrival time of an uplink reference signal (for example, a preamble) sent by the terminal device at multiple network devices, and sends the arrival time to a positioning device, so that the positioning device implements positioning of the terminal device according to the time difference between the arrival times.

[0003] The terminal device can also measure the time delay by using the uplink reference signal in a Radio Resource Control (RRC) idle or inactive state. However, the terminal device sends the uplink reference signal in an omnidirectional manner, that is, the network devices located near the terminal device can all receive the uplink reference signal sent by the terminal device. Therefore, when the uplink reference signals are all sent on the same time-frequency resource, the positioning device cannot accurately identify the identity of the terminal device according to the positioning signals provided by the network devices, and thus cannot accurately position the terminal device. [0042] The terms used in the embodiments of the present application are used only to explain specific embodiments of the present application, and are not intended to limit the present application.

[0043] In the present application, "at least one" means one or more, and "multiple" means two or more. The "and / or" describes the association relationship of the associated objects, which means that there can be three relationships, for example, A and / or B, which can represent the following three cases: A exists alone, A and B exist together, and B exists alone, where A and B can be singular or plural. The character " / " generally represents an "or" relationship between the associated objects before and after it. "At least one of the following" or the like means any combination of these items, including any combination of single or multiple items. For example, at least one of a, b, or c can represent a, b, c, a-b, a-c, b-c, or a-b-c, where a, b, and c can be single or multiple.

[0044] The embodiments of the present application can be applied to a 5G system or a new radio (NR) system.

[0045] Figure 1 A schematic diagram of a communication architecture to which the embodiments of the present application can be applied. The communication architecture includes a terminal device (indicated as UE), a radio access network (NG-RAN), and a core network. Figure 1

[0046] The core network includes an access and mobility management function (AMF) and a location management function (LMF) and other functions. The AMF implements functions such as a gateway, and the LMF implements functions such as a location center. The AMF and the LMF are connected through an NLs interface.

[0047] The radio access network (NG-RAN) includes one or more ng-eNBs and gNBs. The ng-eNB represents an LTE base station accessing the 5G core network, and the gNB represents a 5G base station accessing the 5G core network.

[0048] The ng-eNB and the gNB, or two ng-eNBs, or two gNBs communicate through an Xn interface. The Xn interface can also be referred to as an XnAP interface.

[0049] The radio access network is connected to the core network through an NG-C interface via the AMF.

[0050] The terminal device is connected to the radio access network via an ng-eNB over an LTE-Uu interface. The terminal device can also be connected to the radio access network via a gNB over an NR-Uu interface.

[0051] The core network can communicate with the terminal device over an LPP / NRPP protocol.

[0052] It should be understood that one or more base stations (including ng-eNBs and gNBs) can be included in the communication architecture.

[0053] It should also be understood that one or more terminal devices can be included in the communication architecture, for example including one or more groups of terminal devices (such as the UE set shown in Figure 1 ).

[0054] One gNB can transmit data or control signaling to one or more terminal devices. Multiple gNBs can also transmit data or control signaling to one terminal device at the same time.

[0055] Figure 1 The ng-eNB in the communication architecture in Figure 1 may also be replaced by a transmission point (TP) (such as the TP shown in ).

[0056] Figure 2 A schematic diagram of another communication architecture to which embodiments of the present application can be applied. The communication architecture includes a terminal device (denoted as UE in Figure 2 ), a radio access network (NG-RAN) and a core network.

[0057] The core network includes functions such as AMF and LMF. The AMF implements functions such as a gateway, and the LMF implements functions such as a location center. The AMF and the LMF are connected by an NLs interface.

[0058] The radio access network (NG-RAN) includes one or more ng-eNBs and gNBs. The ng-eNB represents an LTE base station accessing the 5G core network, and the gNB represents a 5G base station accessing the 5G core network.

[0059] In this case, the gNB contains a location management component (LMC), which can assume a part of the functions of the LMF. In this way, if the LMC is to assume this part of the functions of the LMF, the radio access network does not need to introduce the 5G core network via the AMF, thereby reducing signaling latency.

[0060] It should be understood that one or more base stations (including ng-eNBs and gNBs) can be included in the communication architecture.

[0061] It should also be understood that the communication architecture may include one or more terminal devices, such as one or more groups of terminal devices (e.g., ...). Figure 2 The UE set shown

[0062] A gNB can send data or control signaling to one or more terminal devices. Multiple gNBs can also send data or control signaling to a single terminal device simultaneously.

[0063] The terminal equipment involved in the embodiments of this application can refer to user equipment (UE), access terminal, user unit, user station, mobile station, mobile station, remote station, remote terminal, mobile device, user terminal, terminal, wireless communication equipment, user agent, or user device. Terminal equipment can also be a cellular phone, cordless phone, session initiation protocol (SIP) phone, wireless local loop (WLL) station, personal digital assistant (PDA), handheld device with wireless communication capabilities, computing device or other processing device connected to a wireless modem, vehicle-mounted device, wearable device, terminal equipment in a 5G network, or terminal equipment in a future evolved public land mobile network (PLMN), etc.

[0064] The network device involved in the embodiments of this application can be used to communicate with one or more terminals, or to communicate with one or more base stations that have partial terminal functions (such as communication between macro base stations and micro base stations, such as access points). The base station (BS) can be an evolved Node B (eNB) in an LTE system, or a base station (gNB) in a 5G or NR system. Additionally, the base station can also be an access point (AP), a transport point (TRP), a central unit (CU), or other network entities, and can include some or all of the functions of the above network entities. For example, the network device involved in the embodiments of this application can correspond to... Figure 1 and Figure 2 The access network device in the communication architecture shown.

[0065] In this application embodiment, the positioning management device refers to a core network device with positioning management function, for example... Figure 1 The LMF shown, or location management device, refers to a device with location management functionality that can be placed in access network equipment, for example...Figure 2 LMC shown in FIG. 1.

[0066] In addition, the embodiments of the present application can not only be applied to the next generation wireless communication system, i.e., the 5G communication system, but also be applied to other communication systems that may appear in the future and need to perform transmission direction indication, such as the next generation of wifi network, 5G vehicle networking, etc.

[0067] It should be noted that with the continuous evolution of the communication system, the names of the above-mentioned various network elements may change in other systems that may appear in the future, and in this case, the scheme provided by the embodiments of the present application is also applicable.

[0068] For the sake of convenience, the LPP positioning protocol is briefly described below.

[0069] In the Third Generation Partnership Project Long Term Evolution (3GPP-LTE) system, an LTE positioning protocol, i.e., a Lightweight Presentation Protocol (LPP), is also defined.

[0070] As a general positioning communication protocol, the main function of the LPP positioning protocol is to interact positioning assistance data and positioning information between network devices and terminals. In fact, it can be used in both the control plane and the data plane. Relatively speaking, the implementation of the control plane needs to use a dedicated control channel and will significantly increase the cost of the mobile network, because multiple network elements need to be upgraded in software and hardware to support these positioning-related control plane signaling. Therefore, the implementation of the user plane is more easily used for commercial applications

[0071] In addition, in some LTE communication systems, the LPP positioning protocol has supported satellite positioning technology, Observed Time Difference of Arrival (OTDOA) positioning technology, Enhanced Cell identity (E-CID) positioning technology, UTDOA-based positioning technology, WiFi-based positioning technology, sensor-based positioning technology, Bluetooth-based positioning technology, TBS-based positioning technology, and their hybrid positioning technology.

[0072] Figure 3 The main flowchart of uplink positioning based on a preamble signal is shown. As shown in Figure 3 , the following steps are included:

[0073] Step1: First, the UE is in an idle or inactive state.

[0074] Step2: Under contention access, the UE selects its own preamble index on a certain time-frequency resource in the Random Access Channel (RACH) and sends it to multiple BSs.

[0075] That is, multiple UEs may select the same preamble index and send it on the same time-frequency resource. For example, with two UEs, denoted as UE1 and UE2, UE1 selects a preamble index of preamble1 and assumes that it sends preamble1 to BS1 and BS2 on time-frequency resource 1; UE2 also selects a preamble index of preamble1 and assumes that it sends preamble1 to BS1 and BS2 on time-frequency resource 1.

[0076] Step3: Multiple BSs measure the uplink received time of arrival (RTOA) based on the received preamble.

[0077] That is, BS1 and BS2 measure the RTOA of UE1 and UE2 based on preamble1.

[0078] Setp4: Multiple BSs report the RTOA to the Location Management Function (LMF), and the LMF completes positioning based on the reported RTOA.

[0079] However, BS1 and BS2 cannot determine whether preamble1 belongs to UE1 or UE2. Therefore, according to the received RTOA, the LMF cannot achieve effective positioning.

[0080] To solve the foregoing problem, an embodiment of the present application provides an information processing method: a terminal device generates indication information, the indication information including first configuration information; the terminal device sends the first configuration information to a network device, the first configuration information being used to indicate an identifier of the terminal device; the identifier of the terminal device being allocated by a core network side. The terminal device sends an uplink reference signal to the network device. The network device receives the first configuration information and the uplink reference signal from the terminal device, the uplink reference signal being used for the network device to generate positioning information; the positioning information being associated with the first configuration information; and the network device sends the positioning information and the first configuration information to a positioning device. The following will be described in detail in combination with the drawings.

[0081] Figure 4 An interaction flow diagram of an information processing method provided by the present application is shown. As shown in FIG. 1, the information processing method includes the following steps. Figure 4As shown, the method can include the following steps:

[0082] In step 401, the positioning device sends first configuration information to the terminal device. The terminal device generates indication information, and the indication information includes the first configuration information; the first configuration information is used to indicate the identity of the terminal device.

[0083] In step 402, the terminal device sends the first configuration information and an uplink reference signal through a message MsgA. The network device receives the first configuration information and the uplink reference signal from the terminal device. The first configuration information is used to indicate the identity of the terminal device; the uplink reference signal is used for the network device to generate positioning information; and the positioning information is associated with the first configuration information.

[0084] Optionally, the uplink reference signal includes a preamble signal.

[0085] Specifically, the terminal device reports the first configuration information through the MsgA, including but not limited to one or more of the following ways:

[0086] The first configuration information is carried in the MAC layer; or

[0087] The first configuration information is explicitly reported on the physical layer; or

[0088] The first configuration information is implicitly reported on the physical layer.

[0089] In one possible implementation, the first configuration information is carried in the MAC layer. For example, the first configuration information is carried in the MAC layer, the network device directly receives the first configuration information, and reports the received first configuration information and the positioning information to the positioning device together.

[0090] In another possible implementation, the first configuration information is explicitly reported on the physical layer. For example, the first configuration information is reported to the network device as an additional parameter by the terminal device, and the network device reports the first configuration information and the positioning information to the positioning device.

[0091] In another possible implementation, the first configuration information is implicitly reported on the physical layer. For example, the first configuration information is contained in a random access RNTI (Random Access RNTI, RA-RNTI) parameter. In LTE, the expression of RA-RNTI is as follows:

[0092] RA-RNTI = 1 + s_id + 14 × t_id + 14 × 80 × f_id + 14 × 80 × 8 × ul_carrier_id

[0093] Wherein, s_id is the index of OFDM symbol within RACH;

[0094] t_id is the index of slot;

[0095] f_id is the index of subcarrier in frequency domain;

[0096] ul_carrier_id represents the carrier of uplink (0 represents NUL (normal uplink) carrier, and 1 represents SUL (supplementary uplink) carrier).

[0097] It can be seen that the value of RA-CNTI is determined by the position of the time-frequency resource of the preamble signal. The first configuration information RACH-ID is added on the basis of these coefficients, for example:

[0098] RA-RNTI = 1 + s_id + 14 x t_id + 14 x 80 x f_id + 14 x 80 x 8 x ul_carrier_id + 14 x 80 x 8 x 2 x rach_id

[0099] In this way, the network device can calculate the value of RACH-ID through RA-RNTI, and then report it to the positioning device together with the positioning information.

[0100] In another possible implementation, the first configuration information is implicitly reported on the physical layer. For example, the first configuration information is related to the preamble signal index, and the original index is randomly selected by the terminal device. Here, the terminal device associates the first configuration information with the preamble signal index based on the first configuration information of the terminal device. The network device detects the preamble signal index through blind detection, obtains the association relationship between the index and the first configuration information through table lookup, and then calculates the first configuration information and reports it to the network device together with the positioning information.

[0101] In step 403, the network device sends the positioning information and the first configuration information to the positioning device. The positioning device receives the positioning information and the first configuration information sent by the network device.

[0102] As an example but not limitation, in steps 401 to 403, the UE is a terminal device, the BS is a network device, the LMF is a positioning device, the RACH-ID is the first configuration information sent by the LMF to the BS, the preamble signal is the uplink reference signal sent by the UE to the BS, and the RTOA is the positioning information generated by the BS. The specific implementation of steps 401 to 403 is illustrated by steps 410 to 430.

[0103] Step 410 includes: When the UE is in a connected state, the LMF configures the RACH-ID for the UE through the LPP protocol layer. Taking two UEs as an example (denoted as UE1 and UE2 respectively), the LMF sends RACH-ID1 to UE1 and RACH-ID2 to UE2. UE1 and UE2 generate indication information, which includes RACH-ID1 and RACH-ID2.

[0104] Step 420 includes the following steps: When the UE is in an idle or inactive state, the UE sends a RACH-ID and a preamble signal via message MsgA. BS1 and BS2 receive the RACH-ID and preamble signal from the UE, respectively. The RACH-ID is used to indicate the identifier of the UE; the preamble signal is used by BS1 and BS2 to generate RTOA; and the RTOA is associated with the RACH-ID.

[0105] Optionally, the method of reporting RACH-ID via MSgA has been described in detail in step 402 of the above embodiment, and will not be repeated here.

[0106] Step 430 includes the BS reporting the RTOA and RACH-ID to the LMF via New Radio Positioning Protocol A (NRPPa); the BS carries the RACH-ID and preamble signal received from the UE in message MsgA. The LMF receives the RTOA and RACH-ID1 sent by BS1, and the LMF receives the RTOA and RACH-ID2 sent by BS2. The LMF distinguishes between UE1 and UE2 based on RACH-ID1 and RACH-ID2, thereby achieving effective positioning.

[0107] Figure 5 This illustration shows an interactive flow diagram of an information processing method provided in this application. For example... Figure 5 As shown, the method may include the following steps:

[0108] In step 501, the positioning device sends first configuration information to the terminal device. The terminal device generates indication information, which includes the first configuration information; the first configuration information is used to indicate the identifier of the terminal device; the identifier of the terminal device is assigned by the core network side.

[0109] In step 502, the terminal device sends an uplink reference signal to the network device via message Msg1. The uplink reference signal is used by the network device to generate location information.

[0110] Optionally, the uplink reference signal includes a preamble signal.

[0111] In step 503, the terminal device receives an acknowledgment message (RAR) from the network device. The network device then sends an acknowledgment message (RAR) to the terminal device.

[0112] In step 504, the terminal device sends the first configuration information through message Msg3. The network device receives the first configuration information from the terminal device. The first configuration information received by the network device from the terminal device is carried in message Msg3. The first configuration information is associated with the positioning information.

[0113] Optionally, the terminal device reports the first configuration information through Msg3, including but not limited to one or more of the following ways:

[0114] The first configuration information is carried in the MAC layer; or

[0115] The first configuration information is explicitly reported on the physical layer.

[0116] In one possible implementation, the first configuration information is carried in the MAC layer. For example, the first configuration information is carried in the MAC layer, the network device directly receives the first configuration information, and reports the received first configuration information and the positioning information to the positioning device.

[0117] In another possible implementation, the first configuration information is explicitly reported on the physical layer. For example, the first configuration information is an additional parameter reported by the terminal device to the network device, and the network device reports the first configuration information and the positioning information to the positioning device.

[0118] In step 505, the network device sends the positioning information and the first configuration information to the positioning device. The first configuration information received by the network device from the terminal device is carried in message Msg3. The positioning device receives the positioning information and the first configuration information sent by the network device.

[0119] By way of example and without limitation, in steps 501 to 505, the UE is the terminal device, the BS is the network device, the LMF is the positioning device, the RACH-ID is the first configuration information sent by the LMF to the BS, the preamble signal is the uplink reference signal sent by the UE to the BS, and the RTOA is the positioning information generated by the BS. The specific implementation of steps 501 to 505 is illustrated by steps 510 to 550.

[0120] Step 510 comprises: when the UE is in a connected state, the LMF configures a RACH-ID for the UE through a LPP protocol layer. Taking two UEs as an example (denoted as UE1 and UE2 respectively), the LMF sends a RACH-ID1 to the UE1, and the LMF sends a RACH-ID2 to the UE2. The UE1 and the UE2 generate indication information, the indication information comprising the RACH-ID1 and the RACH-ID2; the UE1 sends the RACH-ID1 to the BS1 and the BS2 respectively, and the UE2 sends the RACH-ID2 to the BS1 and the BS2 respectively, the RACH-ID being used to indicate the identity of the UE; the identity of the UE being allocated by a core network side.

[0121] Optionally, the UE sends a preamble signal to the BS1 and the BS2.

[0122] Step 520 comprises: when the UE is in an idle or inactivated state, the UE sends the preamble signal through a message Msg1. The BS1 and the BS2 receive the preamble signal from the UE respectively. The preamble signal is used for the BS1 and the BS2 to generate a RTOA.

[0123] Step 530 comprises: the BS sends an acknowledgement information RAR to the UE. The UE receives the acknowledgement information RAR.

[0124] Step 540 comprises: the UE sends a RACH-ID through a message Msg3. The BS receives the RACH-ID from the UE. The RACH-ID received by the BS from the UE is carried in the message Msg3. The RACH-ID is associated with the RTOA.
