Abstract
Description
Field of the Invention
[0001] The present invention relates to a modular system for a conveying device of a loading conveyor dishwasher, and to a cleaning system for cleaning tableware, which includes the modular system. Furthermore, the present invention also relates to a method for cleaning tableware using the cleaning system. For example, systems and methods of the above type can be used in the field of dishwasher technology, in particular in the field of commercial dishwashers. Thus, the present invention can be used in commercial kitchens, especially where a relatively large amount of cleaning of tableware (for example, trays, container dishes (Geschirr) and hand-held tableware (Besteck)) must be carried out. Specifically, the present invention can be used in conveyor dishwashers, such as belt conveyor dishwashers. However, in principle, applications in other fields are also conceivable. Background Art
[0002] The prior art has disclosed a variety of cleaning devices, which are also referred to as cleaning utensils and are capable of cleaning and / or disinfecting tableware. Without limiting other possible embodiments, the present invention is described hereinafter with reference to tableware for providing, preparing or storing food. Embodiments of these cleaning devices clearly generally depend on various limiting conditions, such as the type of tableware to be cleaned, the degree of soiling, the throughput or similar conditions. By way of example, reference can be made, for example, to the cleaning devices described in DE102004056052A1 or DE102007025263A1.
[0003] For example, the tableware can include trays loaded with container dishes, hand-held tableware, food residues and napkins. In this case, the container dishes can, for example, include plates, soup bowls, dessert bowls, salad bowls, teacups and water glasses, or can include only a selection from among these options. Furthermore, for example, especially in hospitals or care institutions, there may be heated dishes and associated lids for plates. These heated dishes are also referred to as bell covers. Together with the trays, these items are also referred to as sets of tableware. For example, in prison canteens, the appearance and distribution of these parts can be very uniform. However, for example, if the range of food options in a company canteen or a university canteen is wide, the composition of the sets of tableware can be very variable. Over time, there may also be differences, for example, between breakfast, lunch and dinner.
[0004] Handheld tableware can generally include knives, forks, spoons, and teaspoons, or just a selection of the above tableware items. Depending on the specific circumstances of the country, variations in tableware sets and food residues may also occur, or such variations may be expected. The composition of food residues can also be very different, for example, from a small amount of gravy residue on a plate to the actual meal residues in all utensils, up to utensils that are almost completely full. In addition, there are also food residues that are generally inedible, especially bones, fish bones, shells, stones, wooden skewers, or similar items.
[0005] In traditional canteen kitchens, tableware is processed at different stages. The use of a conveyor dishwasher is described below by way of example. Thus, the loaded trays can initially be transported from the dining hall to the dishwasher, for example, by car or by a conveyor system such as a conveyor belt. Subsequently, the trays can be separated, for example, by hand or by machine. Subsequently, the destructive parts can be removed and the drinking glasses can be cleaned. For example, the drinking glasses can be emptied and inserted into a special drinkware basket or directly onto the conveyor belt of the dishwasher. In addition, the tableware items can be properly oriented so that they can be held in the best way by the conveyor belt of the dishwasher and can be cleaned correctly. However, before the tableware is placed in the dishwasher, the food residues usually have to be removed from the tableware and have to be processed in a way that does not contaminate the working environment. Usually, the tableware items are aligned and positioned in a tableware basket or a tableware container or directly on the conveyor belt of the dishwasher. In addition, the food residues and the napkins usually have to be removed and processed from the trays in a way that does not contaminate the working environment. Subsequently, the trays are usually inserted into the dishwasher, which is aligned relative to the conveyor belt of the dishwasher respectively, so that the trays can be received by the dishwasher in the best way and can be cleaned correctly.
[0006] There are many options for cleaning tableware sets. For example, all parts can be processed in one dishwasher. In this case, for example, the conveyor device of the dishwasher can be divided into multiple channels, each channel being designed separately for one type of tableware. For example, a channel for drinkware, a channel for trays, and one or more other channels for different types of tableware can be provided. The arrangement and design of the channels can match the commercial requirements. This type of dishwasher with multiple channels is usually also called a multi-channel dishwasher. As an alternative to using one dishwasher, independent dishwashers can also be used. For example, a dishwasher for drinkware collected in a basket, for example, and / or a separate tray dishwasher for trays can be set up. For example, the tray dishwasher can be arranged back-to-back with the tableware dishwasher.
[0007] As an alternative to manual implementation, the above-described single or multiple processing steps can also be performed automatically. Thus, DE1956050A describes a pre-cleaning device for equipping a dishwasher with food dishes and food trays from large canteen kitchens to be cleaned. US2019 / 0127152A1 describes a conveying and loading device. In addition, fully automatic devices capable of performing the above steps and / or some of the above steps are also known. For example, reference should be made in this regard to DE1956049A, DE2443651A1 or DE3413480A1. In addition, devices with robots are also known. Reference can be made to US2019 / 0167065A1, US2019 / 0167068A1 or WO2018 / 031489A1. For example, magnetic hand-held tableware or magnetic container tableware can be used, which is magnetically separated from the rest of the tableware.
[0008] DE102019102800A1 discloses a system for loading a dishwasher, which is embodied as a commercial conveyor dishwasher. The system includes a supply conveyor belt for supplying tableware to the loading area of the conveyor dishwasher. The system further includes a sorting device for sorting the tableware according to a predefined or predefinable set of tableware, and the tableware is supplied to the loading area of the conveyor dishwasher through the supply conveyor belt. The sorting device is provided with at least one loading device for automatically loading the tableware of one of the predefined or predefinable sets of tableware into the conveyor dishwasher.
[0009] DE102019102813A1 discloses an unloading device for unloading tableware items, especially tableware items in a set of tableware, which are particularly arranged on a tray or a tray-like object. The unloading device includes a supply conveyor belt for supplying the tableware items to be unloaded arranged on the tray or especially the tray-like object. As seen in the conveying direction of the supply conveyor belt, the unloading device further includes a plurality of continuously arranged unloading stations. For a continuously unloaded supply conveyor belt or a continuously unloaded tray or tray-like object, each unloading station is preferably provided with a predefined or predefinable set of tableware, and each unloading station is designed to preferably exclusively unload the tableware items of the set of tableware assigned to the unloading station from the tableware supplied through the supply conveyor belt.
[0010] Despite the advantages of the above devices, there are still many technical and structural problems. In particular, planners still face technical, structural and economic problems in demanding and adapting the machines, degree of automation and personnel according to the actual situation. In particular, the device size must be avoided from being too large or too small, and at the same time, the personnel allocation requirements must be correctly and adequately planned for any situation.
[0011] Therefore, a large amount of manual intervention is often required in traditional devices that perform various processing steps. This may result in the limit of the processing capacity of the entire washing device being determined by the performance of the staff. Then, usually, one or more staff members must be employed in front of the dishwasher according to the number of tableware per unit time. This personnel usage requires space and incurs costs. In addition, in such cases, the lack of staff may also have a greater impact. Moreover, due to the increase in temperature and usually also the humidity, the working conditions of dishwasher staff are usually arduous. Noise, odors, monotony, and ventilation may also add to the burden. On the other hand, dishwashers and connected conveyor systems usually specify cycles that must be followed by the staff to ensure a faultless process flow. Otherwise, the cleaning process may stop. For example, this may result in an inability to load more trays.
[0012] Partially automated solutions can reduce operating costs because various process steps can be performed by automated devices, thereby reducing the number of employees. Fully automated solutions are also capable of reducing costs. However, in practice, known partially automated devices or fully automated devices are very complex in many cases due to the diversity of tasks that must be performed by these devices. However, these devices are usually inflexible because they usually have to be specifically matched to the available sets of tableware. If the sets of tableware change, the automated devices or partially automated devices usually have to be retrofitted or upgraded. From a technical and economic perspective, such changes to existing devices are usually only limited to a very small extent. Therefore, usually, the choice can only be made between using staff (who can be used flexibly but still result in high costs and higher requirements in terms of space and ergonomics) and using partially automated or fully automated solutions, but these solutions are inflexible.
[0013] Object of the Invention
[0014] Therefore, it is desirable to provide a device and method for cleaning tableware that can at least largely avoid the above-mentioned disadvantages of known devices and methods of the specified type. Specifically, the device and method should first ensure a high throughput when cleaning tableware, and second should be highly cost-effective and have a high degree of flexibility in taking into account changing cleaning situations. Summary of the Invention
[0015] This problem is solved by a modular system of a conveyor device for a loading conveyor dishwasher, a cleaning system, and a method for cleaning tableware having the features of the present invention.
[0016] In the following text, the terms "show", "have", "include" or "contain" or any of their grammatical variants are used non-exclusively. Accordingly, these terms can relate both to a situation where no other features exist apart from the features introduced by these terms and to a situation where one or more other features are present. For example, the expressions "A shows B", "A has B", "A includes B" or "A contains B" may relate both to a situation where there are no other elements in A apart from B (i.e., the situation where A consists entirely of B) and to a situation where one or more other elements are present in A apart from B (such as element C, elements C and D, or even other elements).
[0017] Furthermore, it should be noted that when the terms "at least one" and "one or more" and their grammatical variants are used in combination with one or more elements or features and are intended to indicate that the element or feature can be provided in singular or plural form, the terms "at least one" and "one or more" and their grammatical variants are typically used only once, for example when first introducing the feature or element. When the feature or element is subsequently mentioned again, the corresponding terms "at least one" or "one or more" are generally no longer used, unless this limits the possibility that the feature or element can be provided in singular or plural form.
[0018] Furthermore, in the following text, terms such as "preferably", "in particular", "for example" or similar terms are used in combination with optional features and thus do not limit alternative embodiments. Accordingly, the features introduced by these terms are optional features, and the scope of protection of the claims, in particular the independent claims, is not limited by these features. In this regard, as will be recognized by those skilled in the art, the present invention can also be implemented using other configurations. Similarly, features introduced by "in one embodiment of the present invention" or by "in one exemplary embodiment of the present invention" should be understood as optional features and are not intended to limit the scope of protection of alternative configurations or independent claims thereby. Furthermore, all possibilities of combining the features introduced by these introductory expressions with other features (whether optional or non-optional features) are intended to be unaffected by these introductory expressions.

For example, in the case where the tableware includes destructive components, these tasks can include removing the destructive components, for example, transferring the destructive components to a collection container. Alternatively or additionally, in the case where the tableware has food residues or beverage residues, the tasks can include cleaning the tableware into at least one trash container or at least one disposal trough. Furthermore, alternatively or additionally, the tasks in the tableware situation can include reorienting the tableware so that the tableware is, for example, conveyed to the conveying device of a conveyor dishwasher in the correct orientation. Furthermore, alternatively or additionally, the tasks can, for example, include conveying the tray to the conveying device in a specific orientation. Additionally, alternatively or additionally, the tasks can include removing tableware items and conveying the tableware items to a collection container, such as a tableware basket, or to the conveying device of the dishwasher in a specific orientation. Furthermore, alternatively or additionally, the tasks can, for example, include collecting drinking glasses or cups in a tableware basket and / or conveying them to the conveying device in a specific orientation. In yet another alternative or additional embodiment, the categories can also be related to certain channels of the conveying device, such that, for example, a specific type of tableware can be targeted to be transferred to a specific channel. Alternatively or additionally, many other categories of tableware situations and the corresponding tasks to be completed are conceivable.
[0048] To evaluate the state data and the corresponding cleaning situation of the supplied tableware, as explained in more detail below, the control module can particularly have at least one artificial intelligence. In particular, at least one self-learning system, such as an artificial neural network, can be used. The classification of situations represents a typical task of the neural network, for example, identifying similarities in the state data, particularly in the image data of the state data, by the neural network and classifying the corresponding situations. However, other options are also conceivable, for example, by implementing pattern recognition and the corresponding assignment of the cleaning situation.
[0049] For example, it is possible to identify which processing modules are currently registered to the registration unit by evaluating at least one data memory of the processing module, such as a register. The application unit can be formed separately from the controller, but can also be fully or partially integrated into the controller. For example, the identification of whether the individual processing functions of the processing module are available for the respective tableware situations can also be achieved by classification. For example, if the control module identifies that there is at least one specific category of tableware situation, it can be checked whether at least one processing module is registered whose corresponding processing function corresponds to at least one task assigned to this category. For example, when removing destructive parts or garbage, it can be checked whether at least one processing module is registered that has a separate processing function for separating destructive parts or garbage. For example, alternatively or additionally, if the category as described above is taking out tableware, it can be checked whether at least one processing module is registered that has a separate processing function for separating tableware, in particular for separating magnetic tableware. Generally, as described above, the identification of whether the processing modules registered to the registration unit and the individual processing functions of the processing module are available for the respective washer situations can be achieved by a corresponding comparison of tasks and available functions. Conversely, artificial intelligence can also be used in this case, or conventional algorithms can be used.
[0050] Based on this identification, the control unit is configured to drive the supply unit such that the tableware is supplied to the processing module according to the availability of the respective processing modules. In this case, at least one supply unit can be designed to be completely or partially separated from the processing module, but it can also be fully or partially integrated in the processing module. Thus, for example, at least one of the processing modules can have at least one separate supply unit through which the respective tableware is guided to the respective operating module and / or through which the respective processing module is brought closer to the respective tableware.
[0051] For example, driving the supply unit by means of the control unit can be achieved completely or partially by the direct or indirect transmission of commands and / or control signals from the control module to the respective processing module and / or at least one control unit, which drives the respective processing module, such as a current source and / or a voltage source. For example, at least one interface (such as a wired and / or wireless interface) can be provided for the transmission of commands and / or control signals. Alternatively or additionally, for example, at least one bus system can also be provided.
[0052] By appropriately controlling the supply unit, according to the recognized tableware situation, the tableware is selectively supplied to the processing module, that is, the combination of the tableware and the corresponding processing module becomes possible and / or can be achieved. Through this selective combination, the control unit can only combine the corresponding tableware and the processing module when it is recognized that the processing module is available for a specific tableware situation. For example, the corresponding pushing device and / or other types of actuators can be driven to guide the tableware to the appropriate processing module accordingly, and vice versa.
[0053] As described above, according to the purpose of use, each processing function can be designed very differently. In particular, at least one individual processing function of the processing module can be selected from the group consisting of:
[0054] - Removing destructive parts from the tray;
[0055] - Removing food residues and napkins from the tray;
[0056] - Cleaning drinking glasses from the tray;
[0057] - Cleaning hand-held tableware items from the tray;
[0058] - Removing other container tableware from the tray;
[0059] - Providing the supplied tray to the conveying device of the conveyor dishwasher;
[0060] - Turning the taken-out tableware over and transferring it to the conveying device of the conveyor dishwasher;
[0061] - Transferring the taken-out tableware and conveying the tableware to the conveying device of the conveyor dishwasher.
[0062] Alternatively or additionally, other individual processing functions are also possible.
[0063] As further elaborated above, the status data can particularly include image data of the supplied tableware. Therefore, the detection module can include, for example, at least one camera that continuously or discontinuously records images of the supplied tableware at one or more points. Therefore, the detection module can include, for example, at least one image acquisition device. However, alternatively or additionally, the image acquisition device can also be arranged in the control module, as described above. In yet another alternative or in addition to the image data, the detection module can also collect other data.
[0064] In particular, as described above, the processor of the control module may include at least one image evaluation software. Thus, the processor may be configured to identify and evaluate the tableware situation through the image evaluation software. Also as described above, at least one type of artificial intelligence may also be used in this process. In particular, the artificial intelligence may be trained for different tableware situations, for example, in order to identify the above-mentioned categories and / or other categories. Thus, the processor may in particular have at least one type of artificial intelligence, especially at least one artificial neural network for evaluating the tableware situation.
[0065] In particular, the control module may be configured to identify whether a corresponding tableware situation requires at least one type of processing for which no processing module with a suitable separate processing function is registered in the registration unit. Thus, for example, the current cleaning situation may require one or more processing steps for which no processing module is currently registered in the registration unit. For example, this may occur if a destructive component that is not provided with processing is identified, such as within the scope of identifying a wallet, keys, or banknotes on the recognition tray. Thus, if one or more processing steps for an unregistered processing module are required, the control module may in particular be configured to report the tableware to the staff, for example, by an optical and / or acoustic alarm, and / or supply the tableware to the workstation of the staff so that the staff can perform appropriate processing.
[0066] In particular, at least one separate processing function of the processing module may include providing at least one selected type of tableware to at least one designated channel of the conveying device of the conveyor-type dishwasher. As described above, the conveyor-type dishwasher may be configured, for example, such that the conveying device is virtually or physically divided into channels that respectively extend parallel to the conveying direction of the conveying device. These channels may be physically provided by implementing certain re-division parts or different designs on the conveyor belt of the conveying device, for example, by providing conveying fingers with different designs and / or arrangements in the channels. Thus, channels for tableware, drinking utensils, plates, and trays may be provided, for example. Other embodiments are also possible. The application devices may also be correspondingly different in the channels. For example, different types and / or directions of nozzles may be provided so that different types of tableware can be rinsed differently, for example, from different directions, with different pressures, or with different cleaning liquids. At least one of the separate functions of at least two processing modules may specifically include: identifying the type of tableware through a detection module, for example, and then supplying the tableware of that type to the associated channel, for example, in a designated direction, especially through the processing module.
[0067] Alternatively or additionally, at least one separate processing function of at least two processing modules may include the spatial orientation or reorientation of at least one selected type of tableware, in particular rotating the tableware or rotating at least one type of tableware. Thus, for example, at least one processing module may be provided that rotates the plate and / or supplies the plate to the conveying device in at least one specified direction.
[0068] At least one of the processing modules may also have a supply function in whole or in part. Thus, the function of the supply unit may be adopted in whole or in part by at least one processing module. For example, at least one of the processing modules may be implemented as a robot in whole or in part, or may include a robot. For example, this may be a robot for handling drinking utensils and / or other tableware items. For example, these may be directly picked up by, for example, a conveying device (such as a conveyor belt), and optionally, the processing module does not require at least one additional supply unit. However, alternatively, at least one supply unit formed separately from the processing module may be provided in the modular system, and the supply unit selectively supplies the tableware to at least one of the processing modules. For example, a separate supply unit may be provided for the processing module. For example, at least one first supply unit selectively supplies the tableware to at least one first processing module, and at least one second supply unit selectively supplies the tableware to at least one second processing module. However, alternatively or additionally, at least one supply unit may be provided that selectively supplies the tableware to at least two processing modules.
[0069] In particular, the modular system may include at least one interface. The interchangeable processing module can be docked to the interface, especially reversibly. For example, the interface can ensure at least one mechanical holding function. In addition, the interface may further include at least one interface for unidirectional or bidirectional exchange of data and / or control commands between the processing module and the control module, and vice versa, and further optionally for unidirectional or bidirectional exchange of data and / or control commands between the control module and the detection module, and vice versa. In yet another alternative or additional solution, at least one interface may also be provided for powering at least one processing module.
[0070] As described above, the modular system may be specifically configured to handle tableware including trays. Thus, the tableware may in particular include a tray and tableware items on the tray. Thus, for example, at least one conveying system for supplying soiled tableware may be provided, which includes a tray as the tableware and other tableware arranged on the tray. Thus, for example, the tray or a stack of trays and other tableware arranged thereon, and optionally, contaminants and destructive components, may each be considered a tableware unit, and they can be separated by the modular system and supplied to the conveying device of a conveyor-type dishwasher.
[0071] The plurality of interchangeable processing modules may specifically include at least one processing module configured to perform a separate processing function in the form of removing destructive components from the tray.
[0072] Alternatively or additionally, the plurality of interchangeable processing modules may specifically include at least one processing module configured to perform a separate processing function in the form of removing food residues and napkins from the tray. In particular, the separate processing function may further include at least processing the food residues and napkins in at least one processing device, for example, the processing device being a device for crushing, homogenizing and temporarily storing the food residues and / or napkins, and / or a transfer device for discharging the food residues and / or napkins into a pipeline system, a waste container and / or a processing tank for food residues.
[0073] In yet another alternative or additional embodiment, the plurality of interchangeable processing modules may include at least one processing module configured to perform a separate processing function in the form of clearing drinking glasses from the tray. In particular, the separate processing function may further include at least a transfer device for supplying the drinking glasses to a conveyor-type dishwasher, and the supplying operation is particularly selected from the group consisting of: loading the drinking glasses into the tableware basket of the dishwasher; placing the drinking glasses on at least one drinking utensil channel of the conveyor device of the conveyor-type dishwasher. In particular, the separate processing function may further include emptying the drinking glasses, for example, emptying them into at least one processing container and / or at least one processing tank, and / or emptying them into at least one tank of the conveyor-type dishwasher, for example, emptying them into the storage tank with the lowest purity in the cascade storage tank system.
[0074] As yet another alternative or supplement to the above options and / or other options, the plurality of interchangeable processing modules may include at least one processing module configured to perform a separate processing function in the form of clearing hand-held tableware items from the tray. In particular, the separate processing function may further include at least a transfer device for supplying the hand-held tableware items to a conveyor-type dishwasher, and the supplying operation is selected from the group consisting of: loading the hand-held tableware items into the tableware basket of the dishwasher; placing the hand-held tableware items on at least one hand-held tableware channel of the conveyor device of the conveyor-type dishwasher. As described above, for example, at least one magnet may be used as a manipulator in this process, and the at least one magnet is, for example, at least one electromagnet and / or at least one permanent magnet.
[0075] As yet another alternative or addition to the above options and / or other options, a plurality of interchangeable processing modules may include at least one processing module configured to perform a separate processing function in the form of clearing at least one type of container tableware item other than hand-held tableware and drinking glasses from a tray. Thus, for example, container tableware items (not hand-held tableware or drinking glasses) selected from the group consisting of plates, cups, bowls, dishes, or other types of container tableware items may be cleared and preferably supplied directly or indirectly to a conveying device. In particular, the separate processing function may further include at least providing the container tableware items to a conveying device of a conveyor dishwasher, and the providing operation is selected from the group consisting of loading the container tableware items into a tableware basket of the dishwasher; placing the container tableware items on at least one container tableware passage of the conveying device of the conveyor dishwasher.
[0076] As described above, the supply unit for selectively supplying the supplied tableware to the processing module can generally be configured to bring the processing module to the tableware, and / or vice versa. In particular, the supply unit may include at least one device selected from the group consisting of a pushing device for selectively pushing components of the tableware to the corresponding processing module; a clamp; a brush; a magnet; a sliding device; a conversion device; a scraper.
[0077] In another aspect of the present invention, a cleaning system for cleaning tableware is proposed. The term "cleaning system" used herein is a broad term that should conform to its ordinary and common meaning as understood by those skilled in the art. This term is not limited to a specific or adjusted meaning. Without limitation, this term can particularly relate to a system for cleaning tableware within the meaning of the definition given above. The term "cleaning" used herein is a broad term that should conform to its ordinary and common meaning as understood by those skilled in the art. This term is not limited to a specific or adjusted meaning. Without limitation, this term can particularly relate to the process of removing adhered macroscopic or microscopic contaminants from tableware or at least partially removing such contaminants. In addition, it may have an optional disinfection effect.
[0078] The cleaning system includes:
[0079] a. at least one modular system according to the present invention, such as a modular system according to one or more of the above embodiments and / or according to one or more embodiments to be described in more detail below;
[0080] b. at least one conveyor dishwasher, the conveyor dishwasher including at least one cleaning chamber and at least one conveying device for conveying tableware from an inlet of the conveyor dishwasher through the cleaning chamber to an outlet of the conveyor dishwasher, the conveyor dishwasher being configured to apply at least one cleaning liquid to the tableware in the cleaning chamber; and
[0081] c. At least one conveyor system for supplying soiled tableware.
[0082] As used herein, the term "cleaning chamber" is a broad term that should conform to its ordinary and common meaning as understood by those skilled in the art. The term is not limited to a specific or adapted meaning. Without limitation, the term may particularly relate to a completely or partially enclosed chamber in which the cleaning process is performed in part or in whole. In particular, the cleaning chamber may include at least one housing that completely or partially surrounds the cleaning chamber. In this case, a single cleaning chamber may be provided, or in principle, multiple cleaning chambers may also be provided in sequence, for example. By way of example, the cleaning chamber may include at least one opening for loading tableware into the cleaning chamber; this at least one opening may also be referred to as an inlet. For example, this may be an opening with a flap door arranged on the front side of the cleaning chamber and / or on the top side of the cleaning chamber. As an alternative, for example, within the scope of a so-called hood-type dishwasher, the hood may also be used to enclose the cleaning chamber. In yet another alternative, for example, within the scope of a so-called pass-through dishwasher or conveyor dishwasher, the cleaning chamber may also be configured, for example, completely or partially as a channel, such as a channel with an inlet opening and an outlet opening. In principle, other embodiments are also possible. Thus, the terms "inlet" and "outlet" may relate to the areas of the conveyor dishwasher and / or the conveyor device of the conveyor dishwasher where tableware enters and respectively leaves the cleaning chamber. For example, the conveyor device may project out of the cleaning chamber and be freely accessible in these areas.
[0083] A conveyor-type dishwashing machine is configured to apply at least one cleaning liquid to tableware in a cleaning chamber. To this end, in particular, a conveyor-type dishwasher can include at least one application device, especially in the cleaning chamber. The term "application device" used herein is a broad term that should conform to its ordinary and common meaning as understood by a person skilled in the art. This term is not limited to a specific or adapted meaning. Without limitation, this term can particularly relate to any desired device through which a cleaning liquid can be applied to tableware in the cleaning chamber. The application device can in particular include at least one nozzle system. In addition, the application device can include at least one pump and at least one pipeline system for supplying the cleaning liquid to the nozzle system. For example, here, a pipeline system for one nozzle system and for applying the cleaning liquid from a tank can be provided, as well as at least one corresponding pump. Alternatively or additionally, the cleaning liquid can also be applied directly from a supply pipeline to at least one nozzle system, and a pump is not required for this purpose. One or more cleaning zones can be provided in the cleaning device. For example, the tableware passes through these cleaning zones in sequence. For example, a single cleaning zone can be provided, and the cleaning device is configured to perform a cleaning process in which, during one or more cleaning steps of the washing process, the tableware remains stationary in the cleaning chamber and the cleaning liquid is continuously applied to the tableware in different ways by the application device. Alternatively, the tableware can also be continuously conveyed through a plurality of cleaning zones in which the cleaning liquid is applied in different ways, and one or more cleaning zones are, for example, selected from the group consisting of: a pre-cleaning zone; a rinsing zone, a rinsing or final rinsing zone, and the rinsing or final rinsing zone can be further divided into a pumped final rinsing zone and a downstream fresh water final rinsing zone. In addition, at least one drying step can be provided. In the case where the tableware remains stationary, the drying step can be carried out, for example, after applying the cleaning liquid in a chamber, or, for example, in the case of a conveyor-type dishwasher, the drying step can be carried out in a drying zone downstream of the liquid cleaning zone.
[0084] As used herein, the term "cleaning liquid" is a broad term that shall conform to its ordinary and common meaning as understood by a person skilled in the art. This term is not limited to a specific or adjusted meaning. Without limitation, this term may particularly relate to a liquid that can provide a cleaning effect when it comes into contact with tableware. In particular, the cleaning liquid may include an aqueous liquid, such as water and / or water containing one or more additives, such as one or more detergent concentrates and / or final rinsing agents and / or disinfectants. The cleaning device may be configured to use a single cleaning liquid or a combination of multiple cleaning liquids. If multiple cleaning liquids are provided, the different cleaning liquids may be applied to the tableware simultaneously or sequentially. For example, the tableware may remain stationary in the cleaning chamber, and different cleaning liquids and / or cleaning liquids may be applied to the tableware sequentially. As an alternative, as described above, the tableware may also be sequentially conveyed through multiple cleaning zones, in which, for example, different types of cleaning liquids and / or cleaning liquids of different purity grades are applied to the tableware. The different purity grades may be produced, for example, by cascading overflows between different tanks of the cleaning device, where the purity grade preferably increases in the conveying direction.
[0085] As used herein, the term "conveying system" is a broad term that shall conform to its ordinary and common meaning as understood by a person skilled in the art. This term is not limited to a specific or adjusted meaning. Without limitation, this term may in principle particularly relate to any system configured to supply soiled tableware. In this case, this may be a continuous or discontinuous system. In particular, it may be an automatic system in which the tableware is automatically provided. Specifically, the conveying device may include at least one element selected from the group consisting of: a conveyor belt, conveying casters (especially driven conveying casters), and links.
[0086] In another aspect, a method for cleaning tableware is proposed. The method includes the steps described in more detail below. These steps may be carried out in the specified order. However, in principle, different orders are also possible. In addition, two or more of the specified method steps may be performed in a time-overlapping or simultaneous manner. In addition, one or more of the specified method steps may be performed once or repeatedly. In addition to the specified steps, the method may also include other method steps not mentioned here.
[0087] The method further includes the following steps:
[0088] i. Provide at least one cleaning system according to the present invention, such as a cleaning system according to one or more of the above embodiments and / or according to one or more embodiments to be described in more detail below;
[0089] ii. Supply the tableware through a conveying system;
[0090] iii. Obtain status data related to the supplied tableware through the detection module;
[0091] iv. Evaluate the status data through the control module and evaluate the corresponding tableware situation of the supplied tableware;
[0092] v. Identify the processing module registered in the registration unit and the individual processing functions of the processing module, and evaluate the availability in each tableware situation; and
[0093] vi. Drive the supply unit through the control unit so that the processing module supplies tableware according to availability.
[0094] Regarding the possible details, definitions, and options of the proposed method, reference can be made to the above descriptions of the modular system and the cleaning system.
[0095] The proposed modular system, the proposed cleaning system, and the proposed method have many advantages over known devices and methods of the specified type. In particular, modularity can ensure great flexibility. Therefore, the system can quickly adapt to corresponding changes in demand. Thus, an overly large basic size can be avoided without increasing the risk of subsequent reinvestment in larger equipment, while effectively reducing personnel costs. In addition, the modular system can flexibly respond to changing tableware situations and identify the current options of the modular system and their availability in each situation.
[0096] Overall, the number of personnel handling sets of tableware upstream of the conveyor dishwasher can be reduced. In particular, the disadvantages of traditional systems, namely that the situation between the restaurant and the dishwasher entrance must be fully recorded, which can lead to very complex traditional machines, can also be solved. The proposed modular system allows the analysis of the processing steps that occur and thus allows decomposition into the smallest possible partial tasks, so its complexity is lower. On the one hand, this process provides an overall view of the system for handling used sets of tableware. On the other hand, decomposing the processing into the simplest possible partial tasks generally helps with good scalability of the type and quantity of processing points and processing tools that must be used in actual tasks.
[0097] In addition, the proposed invention, especially the division of tasks into partial tasks according to the capabilities of existing processing modules, allows the identification of potential bottlenecks and obstacles during tableware processing. If additional employees are hired, the number of manual processes of employees can be increased through partial tasks, for example, partial tasks can be assigned from the hands of employees. Processing modules can be provided to handle partial tasks with lower complexity. In addition, for example, through the modular system, it can be identified whether and which partial tasks cannot be completed, whether and which partial tasks cannot be further divided, such that the processing module cannot complete these tasks.
[0098] According to their respective requirements, various processing points and processing tools can now be combined in the form of suitable processing modules. For example, the modular system can be arranged at the entrance of a conveyor dishwasher. Thus, as required, a processing module including one or more automated components can be used, for example. Alternatively or additionally, especially in cases where some tasks are too complex for simple automated components but are so simple that they can be performed by a robot with high reliability and sufficient speed, one or more processing modules including a robot can be used. Other options are also conceivable.
[0099] In addition, in addition to the modular system, at least one manual workplace can also be provided for the staff at the conveyor dishwasher. In particular, this can be achieved in cases where at least one of the partial tasks to be completed is too complex to be handled by the processing module. For example, this may be the case where a partial task is too complex to use simple automated components, and conversely, for example, considering processing time, capacity, reliability, or installation space, a robot cannot or should not be used either.
[0100] Due to the modularization and the splitting of the tasks to be performed into partial tasks corresponding to the individual processing functions of the existing processing modules, sub-division can be achieved especially in the entire processing area between the restaurant and the conveyor dishwasher. Due to the modularity of the proposed system, this sub-division can be configured and operated individually or simultaneously on a variable basis.
[0101] In addition, the modular system also allows the configuration of the modular system to adapt to the operator's own corresponding requirements. For example, it is conceivable to change the configuration and composition of the modular system within a working day, for example, by swapping processing modules. Thus, in particular, the composition in terms of the number, type, and arrangement of processing points can be changed during the day according to requirements, especially according to the type and / or scope of tableware (e.g., a set of tableware). Thus, in particular, adjustments can be made for the effect of a set of tableware for breakfast or dinner, which is usually significantly different from the corresponding set of tableware at lunchtime, for example, in terms of content, composition, and scope.
[0102] The modular system can also include one or more components, for example, as processing components, which are known from the above prior art for similar purposes. Thus, for example, a pushing device or a wiper can be used as a processing module. Alternatively or additionally, one or more processing modules including a hand-held tableware lifting magnet can also be used as required.
[0103] As described above, the detection module can include, for example, at least one device for image acquisition. The detection module itself and / or the control module can also include at least an image evaluation for image processing. For example, the image acquisition device can be arranged at the conveyor system for providing soiled tableware, and the image acquisition device can be a component of the proposed cleaning system. Thus, for example, the image acquisition device can be arranged at the supply conveyor from the restaurant. The image acquisition device and the image processing can also identify, for example, destructive components on the tray, then output an appropriate warning, and / or supply the corresponding tableware item (such as a tray with a destructive component) to a specific processing module, which unloads the destructive component itself or the entire tableware with the destructive component, such as a tray with a destructive component.
[0104] The interchangeable processing modules can be designed as universal components, in particular by having a universal interface, which can have a similar form, for example, in the case of all interchangeable processing modules. Thus, the interchangeable processing modules can be designed as universal interface components.
[0105] The modular system and the supply unit can be configured in particular such that the corresponding tableware is supplied to the corresponding processing module, for example, in a defined relative position, such as in the usual relative use position. As described above, the corresponding processing module can then perform at least one individual processing function for processing the tableware, in particular the tableware item, using at least one actuator. For example, this individual processing function can include at least one of the above functions, in particular at least one function selected from the group consisting of: rotating the tableware; emptying and / or cleaning the tableware, in particular removing food residues from the tableware; providing the tableware for reception by the conveying device of a conveyor-type dishwasher, in particular a conveyor belt. Thus, the tableware, in particular the corresponding tableware item, can be output by the processing module at the correct relative position and / or the correct position and optionally under appropriate time control and at the correct time, and can be transferred directly or indirectly to the conveying device.
[0106] In addition, these individual processing functions can also include processing food residues and / or other contaminants on tableware. Thus, for example, subsequent manual steps for removing contaminants and food residues can be at least partially omitted. Therefore, at least one individual processing function of at least one processing module can, for example, include removing contaminants and / or food residues. Thus, food residues can, for example, be processed when needed or automatically and continuously, for example, the corresponding processing module directly places the food residues into a disposable container or a processing tank, and / or each processing module that generates a large amount of food residues can pump and optionally temporarily store the food residues until the food residues are transferred to a connected processing system. For example, a simple solution for receiving food residues can be a processing container, such as especially a trash can. More complex solutions are also possible, such as the connection between each processing module and a device such as a centralized waste treatment device.
[0107] For example, the processing module can be suitable for different types of tableware. Thus, for example, these can be individually suitable for plates, cups, bowls, trays or hand-held tableware. Therefore, in particular, the workload of the staff can also be reduced, so that the staff can process more tableware items, especially container tableware items, within the same time period.
[0108] In addition, the modular system can be configured to communicate with a conveyor dishwasher in a one-way or two-way manner. In particular, as described above, the control module can, for example, communicate with the conveyor dishwasher and / or even be fully or partially integrated in the conveyor dishwasher, such as integrated in the central machine controller of the conveyor dishwasher. Alternatively or additionally, the processing module can also, for example, communicate with the conveyor dishwasher.
[0109] For example, this communication between the modular system and the conveyor dishwasher can be used for the modular system to transmit information about the status data of the tableware and / or the tableware situation of the supplied tableware to the conveyor dishwasher. Thus, for example, the modular system can be configured to transmit the quantity of the total number of processed tableware to the conveyor dishwasher, for example, to the controller of the conveyor dishwasher. Thus, for example, the modular system, such as at least one of the processing module and / or the control module, can be transmitted to the conveyor dishwasher when no tableware is provided (for example, because the set of tableware has not been fully set up). Based on this information, for example, in order to save resources, the conveyor dishwasher can adjust its operating parameters, such as temporarily interrupting the application of the cleaning liquid.
[0110] For example, a general design that the processing modules can have is such that the user can directly or indirectly dock or otherwise connect to a conveyor dishwasher, for example, connect to the inlet of the conveyor dishwasher. In particular, the interface can also include a mechanical interface. In particular, the processing modules can be designed such that they can, for example, be docked at any position on the inlet of the conveyor dishwasher. In particular, docking can be achieved without tools. In addition, the processing modules can be designed such that they can be moved from one position to another, preferably also without using tools, and the processing modules include corresponding power supplies and / or control signals.
[0111] In addition, a plurality of processing modules can be arranged adjacent to each other at the inlet of the conveyor dishwasher, and for example, multiple processing modules can be provided for different tableware, especially different container types of tableware. Thus, in particular, in each case, a single processing module can at least to a large extent have the width required for a corresponding number of tableware (especially container types of tableware) on the conveying device (such as the conveyor belt of the conveyor dishwasher). Therefore, compared with the case without a modular system, the capacity of the conveyor dishwasher is optimized or at least not significantly reduced.
[0112] In particular, the number and arrangement of the processing modules can be determined by the following: the number of pieces of tableware per unit time, the requirements of the conveyor dishwasher, especially the width and type of the conveyor dishwasher, especially the distribution of the above-mentioned channels of the conveying device, the type of tableware, and, optionally, the distribution of the number of tableware of different types of tableware. Combinations of the specified factors are also possible.
[0113] The situation upstream of the processing modules and / or the equipment of the processing modules can be designed very individually and / or can be designed with very few restrictions. In particular, three variants can be envisaged, either individually, or in combination with each other, or in combination with other variants.
[0114] For example, in the first variant, there is a supply conveyor belt on which tableware in the form of a set of tableware is transported from the restaurant to the dishwashing area for supplying the tableware. For example, the supply conveyor belt is guided transversely past the inlet of the conveyor dishwasher. For example, a plurality of different processing modules are arranged between the supply conveyor belt and the inlet of the conveyor dishwasher. In addition, staff can be provided optionally, for example, they take some tableware by hand. For example, the tableware can be taken out by a processing module using a magnet, and the tray can be sent into the conveyor dishwasher by a simple processing module in the form of an automated component.
[0115] In a second variant, there is also, for example, a supply conveyor belt on which tableware is transported from the restaurant to the dishwashing area. For example, the supply conveyor belt is guided transversely past the entrance of the conveyor-type dishwashing machine. For example, a plurality of different processing modules are arranged in sequence between the supply conveyor belt and the entrance of the conveyor-type dishwashing machine. For example, a processing module with a robot can remove drinking glasses from a tray, while the remaining tableware can be removed manually by staff. The tableware and the tray are fed into the conveyor-type dishwashing machine through one or more other processing modules, for example through one or more simple automation components.
[0116] In a third variant, the task situation in the restaurant has changed compared to the usual existing embodiments in such a way that guests can forgo the individual components of a set of tableware. These individual components are then transported separately to the processing modules and further processed there, as described above. This variant is conceivable, especially in cost-sensitive establishments.
[0117] Depending on the development of mass catering or robotics, it is also possible to upgrade, retrofit or otherwise change existing cleaning equipment using a modular system. Thus, the entire equipment can be adapted to the changing or varying requirements of the operator.
[0118] Generally speaking, the operator thus has great flexibility in terms of the design and staffing level of the dishwashing area. Even for future changes, the proposed design offers greater flexibility compared to traditional solutions (especially semi-automated or fully automated equipment).
[0119] For manufacturers of cleaning systems, the proposed solution with various interchangeable processing modules offers the possibility of developing and producing multiple similar processing modules, rather than repeatedly developing and producing new individual specialized equipment. Overall, this can improve profitability and can reduce development costs and production costs.
[0120] Further success has been achieved by dividing the results of the process, especially in terms of reducing the staffing level in the dishwashing area and reducing the burden on staff. Thus, the workload of the staff is generally reduced by breaking the process down into individual steps, so that more tableware, such as more container-type tableware, can be processed within the same time period. In addition, breaking the processing steps into small partial tasks makes it possible to use robots when loading the conveyor-type dishwashing machine in the context of mass catering. The design of the processing module with a robot system can be matched to the corresponding prior art, so that, for example, the robot components can be assigned to those tasks that are currently already being handled by robots. With the increasing scope of availability, the robot components can take on a greater range of tasks, and other processing modules with a robot system can be used without a complete reconfiguration of the system.

[0176] Further details and features come from the following description of the exemplary embodiments. In this case, each feature can be implemented individually or several features can be combined together. The present invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiments. The exemplary embodiments are schematically shown in the drawings. In this case, the same reference numerals in each drawing represent the same or functionally equivalent components or components corresponding to each other in terms of their functions.
[0177] Specifically as follows:
[0178] Figure 1 A plan view showing an exemplary embodiment of a cleaning system and a modular system;
[0179] Figure 2 A side cross-sectional view showing another exemplary embodiment of a cleaning system and a modular system; and
[0180] Figure 3 A flowchart showing an exemplary embodiment of a method for cleaning tableware. Detailed Description of the Invention
[0181] Figure 1 A plan view showing a schematic arrangement of an exemplary embodiment of a cleaning system 110 for cleaning tableware 112. For example, the cleaning system 110 of this exemplary embodiment includes a conveyor dishwasher 114 having a cleaning chamber 116 and a conveying device 118 for conveying the tableware 112 through the cleaning chamber 116. In addition, the cleaning system 110 of the shown exemplary embodiment includes a modular system 120 for loading the tableware 112 onto the conveying device 118 of the conveyor dishwasher 114. In addition, the cleaning system 110 includes a conveying system 122 for supplying soiled tableware 112.
[0182] The conveyor dishwasher 114 includes in Figure 1The application device 124 schematically depicted therein. The application device 124 can be used to apply at least one cleaning liquid to the tableware 112, which is conveyed through the cleaning chamber 116 (e.g., cleaning zone) by the conveying device 118. For example, a plurality of cleaning zones can be arranged in the cleaning chamber 116 of the conveyor dishwasher 114, and continuous application of the cleaning liquid can be implemented through the cleaning zones. The plurality of cleaning zones can be, for example, at least one pre-cleaning zone, at least one washing zone, and at least one final rinsing zone, and optionally, in addition, at least one drying zone. In principle, with respect to possible embodiments of the conveyor dishwasher 114, reference can be made to the aforementioned prior art. For example, the tableware 112 can be conveyed from the inlet 126 of the conveyor dishwasher 114 through the cleaning chamber 116 and reach the outlet 128, the latter being shown only in Figure 1 as shown. As Figure 1 shown, in this case, the conveying device 118 can be further divided into a plurality of channels 130, which can be implemented physically or virtually. In a physical configuration, for example, different types of containers can be provided on the conveying device 118, such as different links and / or different compartments. Thus, the channels 130 can, for example, be capable of receiving different types of tableware 112. For example, different types of application by the application device 124 can be provided for these different types of tableware in the cleaning chamber 116, for example, by different arrangements and / or alignments of nozzles.
[0183] For example, the conveying system 122 can be designed as a conveyor belt system. For example, the tableware 112 can be divided into units in each case, and the units can be particularly defined as the tray 132 and its contents. Thus, for example, hand-held tableware 134, drinking glasses 136, different types of container tableware 138, and destructive components 140 and / or garbage 142 can be arranged on the tray 132 in each case. For example, the conveying system 122 can include at least one conveyor belt through which the tableware 112 can be conveyed to the conveying point 144. For example, the conveyance can be from the restaurant to the dish room, so the conveying point 144 can be arranged in the dish room, for example.
[0184] The modular system 120 includes at least one detection module 146 for acquiring status data of the supplied tableware 112. For example, at least one detection module 146 can include at least one camera 148 for acquiring image data. For example, the detection module 146 can be arranged at one or more acquisition points of the conveying system 122, which do not have to be the same as the conveying point 144, and can be arranged upstream of the conveying point 144 relative to the conveying direction 150 of the conveying system 122, for example.
[0185] The detection module 146 can be coupled to at least one control module 152 of the modular system 120 unidirectionally or bidirectionally. Alternatively or additionally, at least one detection module can also be fully or partially integrated in the control module 152. For example, the control module 152 can also be coupled unidirectionally or bidirectionally to a controller 154 of a conveyor dishwasher 114 (not shown in Figure 1 and / or can be fully or partially integrated in the controller 154.
[0186] The control module 152 includes at least one processor 156. In addition, the control module 152 includes at least one registration unit 158. The registration unit 158 can be designed to be fully or partially as software and / or fully or partially as hardware. In addition, the registration unit 158 can also be fully or partially integrated in the processor 156. The control module 152 can also include at least one interface 160, at least one interface 162, and in addition also includes at least one interface 166. At least one interface 160 is for connecting to at least one detection module 146, at least one interface 162 is for connecting to at least one in the supply unit 164 (which will be described in more detail below), and at least one interface 166 is for reversibly coupling to a plurality of processing modules 168.
[0187] As described above, the modular system 120 also includes a plurality of interchangeable processing modules 168. Each of these interchangeable processing modules 168 is configured to perform a separate processing function to process tableware 112 using at least one actuator 170 in each case. Examples of possible actuators were mentioned above, and the example will still be described in more detail below. In particular, this can involve an actuator 170 having a magnetic function, a mechanical function, or a processing function, for example. In particular, the actuator 170 can facilitate transferring certain types of tableware 112 in a given direction, in particular, to the conveyor 118. After this transfer, the tableware 112 can then be conveyed through the cleaning chamber 116 in the conveying direction 172 by the conveyor 118. The separate processing functions of the processing module 168 can, for example, involve certain types of tableware 112 and / or involve certain processing to be performed, such as emptying the remaining food from the tableware 112 and / or processing waste.
[0188] The processing module 168 is reversibly coupled to the modular system 120 and can also be separated from it again. Thus, the modular system 120 can be configured individually for respective uses or can be flexibly reconfigured. Thus, at least one interface 166 can, for example, include at least one mechanical interface which can, for example, be arranged on the housing 174 of the modular system 120 and / or can also be arranged in whole or in part on the housing 176 of the conveyor dishwasher 114. In this process, there may be a mechanical coupling and / or an electrical or electronic coupling. These functions of the interface can also be formed separately, so that, for example, there can be a mechanical coupling to the conveyor dishwasher 114, while the coupling for the unidirectional or bidirectional exchange of data and / or control commands and / or power can be implemented via at least one interface 166 on the housing 174. Furthermore, for example, in the context of coupling to the Internet of Things (IoT), the latter interface 166 can in particular have a wired design or a fully wireless or partially wireless design. In principle, various designs can be conceived and known to those skilled in the art. In the registration unit 158, the respectively coupled processing module 168 is registerable and can also be deregistered again in the case of decoupling. For example, the application unit can include at least one directory or register in which the currently registered processing module 168 is recorded. In addition, the individual processing functions of the registered processing module 168 are also recorded in the registration unit.
[0189] Furthermore, the modular system 120 includes at least one supply unit 164. The supply unit 164 is configured to supply tableware 112 to the processing module 168 depending on the availability of the tableware. In principle, the implementation of such feeding is to bring the corresponding tableware 112 and the corresponding processing module 168 closer to each other, so that, for example, the tableware 112 and / or the corresponding processing module 168 can be moved. For example, the supply unit 164 can include at least one pushing device which selectively supplies certain tableware 112 to the associated processing module 168.
[0190] By programming, the processor 156 of the control module 152 is configured to evaluate the status data provided by the detection module 146, and to evaluate and assess the corresponding tableware conditions of the provided tableware 112, such as the tray 132 and the contents in each case. In addition, the processor 156 is configured by programming to identify, for example, by querying the directory or register of the registration unit 158, which processing modules 168 are currently registered to the registration unit 158. The processor 156 is also configured to identify whether the corresponding individual processing functions of these registered processing modules 168 are available for the corresponding tableware conditions. Accordingly, the processor 156 is configured to drive the supply unit 164 such that if availability is recognized, the tableware 112 is accordingly supplied to the corresponding processing module 168. For example, if a registration of a processing module 168 for handling hand-held tableware 134 is recognized, the hand-held tableware 134 can be targeted to be supplied to this processing module 168. At least one magnetic actuator can be used to supply the hand-held tableware 134 to the processing module 168. For example, the processing module 168 can place the hand-held tableware 134 on a specific tableware channel in the channel of the conveying device 118 and / or collect the hand-held tableware in one or more tableware baskets or tableware containers. For example, if a registration of a processing module 168 for handling dishes or other types of container tableware 138 is recognized, the container tableware can be targeted to be supplied to this processing module 168. For example, these tableware components can be grasped by a gripping device or a suction device, released from food residues, and placed on the conveying device 118 in the correct orientation. For example, a similar procedure can also be performed for other types of tableware 112.
[0191] During the evaluation of the washer condition by the control module 152 and during the corresponding comparison with the registered processing modules 168, if it is recognized that a separate processing function or processing step of a non-registered processing module 168 is required, the control module 152 can react in various ways. For example, at least one warning device of the cleaning system 110 and / or the modular system 120 can be used to output a warning to the staff, such as an audible and / or optical warning. Alternatively or additionally, the corresponding tableware 112 can also be unloaded to, for example, a specific manual workplace and / or holding position. Then, the staff can perform appropriate work steps there. Thus, for example, a corresponding tray 132 with a load having steps that cannot be performed by the required registered processing module 168 can simply be conveyed forward by the conveying system 122 until the staff can complete the corresponding task.
[0192] Figure 2 An example of the cleaning system 110 with the modular system 120 is shown in a schematic cross-sectional view from the side. In this case, only a single processing module 168 is shown in an exemplary manner. Otherwise, reference can generally be made toFigure 1 Explanation. In this case, for example, the processing module 168 is designed as a tray flipper 178. Alternatively or additionally, for example, at least one dish flipper may also be provided. For example, the tray flipper shown here may include a supply ramp 180 and also include rotating wheels 182. After the tray 132 has been cleaned by the previous processing module 168 and / or manually, the pushing device 184 of the supply unit 164 may, for example, push the empty tray 132 onto the supply ramp 180, and then insert the tray 132 into the rotating wheels 182 through the supply ramp 180. The garbage is initially removed here by the rotation of the rotating wheels 182 and may, for example, be discharged into the processing tank 186. By further rotation, the tray 132 may, for example, be inserted into the corresponding compartment formed by the finger portions 188 of the conveying device 118, which compartment is, for example, located on the channel 130 provided therefor or on the tray channel. Different types of processing modules 168, for example, processing modules 168 having other individual processing functions, may be used as Figure 2 an alternative or supplement to the processing module 168 shown.
[0193] Figure 3 shows a schematic flow of an exemplary embodiment of a method for cleaning tableware 112. In step 190, the method includes, for example Figure 1 providing the cleaning system 110 as shown. In addition, the method includes the step of supplying the tableware 112 through the conveying system 122. In addition, the method includes step 194, in which the status data of the supplied tableware 112 is obtained by the detection module 146. In addition, the method includes step 196, in which the status data is evaluated and the corresponding tableware condition of the supplied tableware 112 is evaluated by the control module 152. As explained above, this may be implemented, for example, in each case for the tray 132 having additional tableware 112 thereon. In addition, the method includes step 198, in which the processing modules 168 registered in the registration unit 158 and their respective individual processing functions are identified, in particular by the control module 152, and the availability of the registered processing modules 168 for the respective tableware conditions is evaluated. In addition, in step 200, the supply unit 164 is driven by the control module 152 such that the tableware 112 is supplied to the processing module 168 according to the availability of the tableware. Subsequently, as Figure 3 shown, the method may be repeated in whole or in part, for example, by re-executing the method steps starting from step 192. However, as an alternative, the method steps may already run in parallel, so that, for example, steps 192 and 194 are executed again for the next tray 132 while still processing the previous tray 132. For other possible configurations of the method, reference may be made to the above description of the cleaning system 110 and the modular system 120.
