Method for manufacturing combined saddle of suspension bridge

Abstract

A method for manufacturing a combined saddle for a suspension bridge includes the following steps: first, aligning a first sidewall panel and a second sidewall panel, temporarily securing them, and then machining the tie rod holes on the sidewall panels; then, aligning a spacer sleeve with the tie rod hole, and then, sequentially, passing one end of the tie rod through the first sidewall panel, the tie rod hole, the spacer sleeve, and the second sidewall panel before securing them; first, rolling a base plate, and then inserting the sidewall panel onto the base plate; then, installing a positioning plate between the bottoms of the sidewall panels, and then installing lateral reinforcement ribs on the sides of the sidewall panels to form a saddle body; first, rolling a cable trough body sheet to form a cable trough body blank; then, machining the cable trough body blank to form a cable trough body; and finally, inserting and assembling the cable trough body and the saddle body to form a combined saddle. By adopting modular assembly and assembly line production for the saddle assembly, the present invention reduces the processing difficulty and manufacturing cost of the saddle and shortens the manufacturing cycle of the saddle.
