Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a battery pack and a vehicle. Background Art
[0002] Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2011-113803 discloses a solid battery using a sulfur-based material in at least one of a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a solid electrolyte, and discloses that in the solid battery, a hydrogen sulfide detoxifying agent is provided in a recess provided in a battery case (casing).
[0003] Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2011-113803 describes that hydrogen sulfide generated from an all-solid-state battery is absorbed and rendered harmless by using a hydrogen sulfide detoxifying agent. Summary of the invention
[0004] The absorption amount (adsorption amount) of hydrogen sulfide in the hydrogen sulfide detoxifying agent has a limit. Therefore, it is preferable to detect whether the hydrogen sulfide adsorption amount of the hydrogen sulfide detoxifying agent is saturated or likely to be saturated. However, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2011-113803 does not mention this point.
[0005] An object of the present disclosure is to be able to detect whether the hydrogen sulfide adsorption amount of a desulfurization agent that adsorbs (absorbs) hydrogen sulfide has been saturated or is likely to be saturated.
[0006] 1. The battery pack disclosed herein comprises: a battery including a sulfide-based all-solid-state battery housed in a battery case; a communication path connecting the interior and exterior of the battery case; a desulfurizer disposed in the communication path and absorbing hydrogen sulfide; and a hydrogen sulfide sensor disposed in the communication path and detecting hydrogen sulfide.
[0007] According to this configuration, the battery includes a sulfide-based all-solid-state battery. In the present disclosure, a sulfide-based all-solid-state battery refers to an all-solid-state battery in which at least one of the positive electrode material or the solid electrolyte material contains a sulfur component. If the sulfur component contained in the sulfide-based all-solid-state battery reacts with water, hydrogen sulfide is generated. When the air containing hydrogen sulfide in the battery casing is discharged to the outside through the connecting path, a desulfurizing agent is used to purify (adsorb) the hydrogen sulfide. In this way, the release of hydrogen sulfide to the outside of the battery casing can be suppressed.
[0008] A hydrogen sulfide sensor is provided in the communication passage. Based on the hydrogen sulfide in the communication passage detected by the hydrogen sulfide sensor, it can be detected that the amount of hydrogen sulfide adsorbed by the desulfurizing agent is saturated or is likely to be saturated.
[0009] 2. The hydrogen sulfide sensor may be disposed on the outside of the battery case relative to the desulfurizing agent in the communication path.
[0010] According to this configuration, the hydrogen sulfide sensor is provided on the side of the outside of the battery case with respect to the desulfurizing agent in the communication passage. Therefore, when the amount of hydrogen sulfide adsorbed by the desulfurizing agent may be saturated, hydrogen sulfide is detected by the hydrogen sulfide sensor.
[0011] 3. The communication path includes a narrow passage portion having a smaller flow path cross-sectional area than other portions, and the hydrogen sulfide sensor may be disposed in the narrow passage portion.
[0012] Hydrogen sulfide is heavier than air (has a greater specific gravity than air) and tends to accumulate on the bottom surface (vertically downward) side of the communication path. Therefore, its concentration may fluctuate in the communication path. According to this configuration, the fluctuation of the concentration of hydrogen sulfide is likely to be reduced in a narrow passage portion where the flow path cross-sectional area is smaller than other portions. Therefore, hydrogen sulfide can be detected more reliably.
[0013] 4. The connecting passage includes: a first desulfurization unit having a desulfurizer, a second desulfurization unit having a desulfurizer, and a connecting pipe connecting the first desulfurization unit and the second desulfurization unit, and the first desulfurization unit can be arranged on the side outside the battery case relative to the second desulfurization unit.
[0014] The air containing hydrogen sulfide in the battery case flows into the first desulfurization unit after passing through the second desulfurization unit. According to this structure, the hydrogen sulfide adsorption capacity of the second desulfurization unit is saturated first. Therefore, as needed, only the second desulfurization unit needs to be replaced.
[0015] 5. The vehicle of the present disclosure includes: the battery pack according to (1) to (4) above, and a control device.
[0016] The control device is configured to issue a notification when the detection value of the hydrogen sulfide sensor satisfies a predetermined condition.
[0017] According to this configuration, for example, when the detection value of the hydrogen sulfide sensor satisfies the condition that the amount of hydrogen sulfide adsorbed by the desulfurizing agent is saturated or satisfies the condition that the possibility of saturation is high, notification can be given to promote replacement of the desulfurizing agent.
[0018] According to the present disclosure, it is possible to detect that the amount of hydrogen sulfide adsorbed by the desulfurization agent that adsorbs (absorbs) hydrogen sulfide has been saturated or is likely to be saturated. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0028] The embodiments of the present disclosure are described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. In the drawings, the same or corresponding parts are denoted by the same reference numerals, and their description will not be repeated.
[0029] Implementation Method 1
[0030] Figure 1 This is a diagram schematically showing the overall structure of a vehicle 100 equipped with a battery pack 200 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. The vehicle 100 includes a battery pack 200 that stores electric power for traveling. The vehicle 100 is configured to be able to travel using the electric power stored in the battery pack 200. In the present embodiment, the vehicle 100 is a battery electric vehicle (BEV) that does not include an engine (internal combustion engine). However, the vehicle 100 may also be a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) or a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) that has an engine.
[0031] The vehicle 100 includes an electronic control unit (ECU) 150. The ECU 150 is configured to perform charging control and discharging control of the battery pack 200. The ECU 150 is configured to include a processor 151, a random access memory (RAM) 152, and a storage device 153. The RAM 152 functions as a working memory that temporarily stores data processed by the processor 151. In addition to the program, the storage device 153 also stores information used in the program (such as graphs, formulas, and various parameters). The processor 151 executes the program stored in the storage device 153, thereby executing various controls in the ECU 150.
[0032] The monitoring module 130 includes various sensors for detecting the state (e.g., voltage, current, and temperature) of the battery pack 200 (battery module 50). The monitoring module 130 outputs the detection result to the ECU 150. The battery pack 200 is charged with power supplied from a charging device (external charging).
[0033] The vehicle 100 further includes a travel drive unit 110, a human machine interface (HMI) device 120, a malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) 125, a hazard warning lamp 140, an external display 160, and drive wheels W. The travel drive unit 110 includes a power control unit (PCU) and a motor generator (MG) not shown. The travel drive unit 110 is configured to drive the MG using the power stored in the battery pack 200 to drive the vehicle 100. In addition, the MG is configured to perform regenerative power generation and supply the generated power to the battery pack 200.
[0034] The HMI device 120 includes an input device and a display device. The HMI device 120 may include a touch panel display. The MIL 125 is a warning light arranged on the instrument panel. The hazard warning light 140 is a light arranged in the front, rear, left, and right sides of the vehicle 100. The hazard warning light 140 is the same light as the turn signal light (direction indicator). The hazard warning light 140 functions as an emergency flashing display light. The external display 160 is, for example, an LED display. The external display 160 is provided on the rear window. Moreover, the external display 160 can visually confirm the display content from the outside of the vehicle 100.
[0035] The battery pack 200 includes a battery case 90 and a battery module 50 accommodated in the battery case 90. The battery case 90 is composed of a lower case 91 and an upper case 92. In the present embodiment, two battery modules 50 are accommodated in the space formed by the lower case 91 and the upper case 92. A breathing membrane 61 is provided in the upper case 92. The breathing membrane 61 will be described later. The battery pack 200 is mounted on the floor of the vehicle 100, and can be mounted on the inner side of the vehicle interior of the vehicle 100 or on the outer side of the vehicle exterior of the vehicle 100.
[0036] Figure 2 It is a diagram showing a schematic structure of the battery pack 200 . Figure 2 for Figure 1 The battery module 50 is a battery assembly in which a plurality of single cells 10 are connected. The plurality of single cells 10 are stacked between a pair of end plates 31 and 32 .
[0037] Figure 3A , Figure 3BIt is a diagram for explaining a schematic configuration of a cell 10 in this embodiment. Figure 3A 1 is a top view of a cell 10. The cell 10 is a laminated all-solid battery using a laminated film as an exterior member 20. A negative terminal (negative electrode tab) 1a and a positive terminal (positive electrode tab) 5a protrude from the exterior member 20. The laminated film may be, for example, a bag made of an aluminum laminated film. The laminated film may be, for example, a three-layer structure film in which aluminum foil is sandwiched between resin films.
[0038] Figure 3B The all-solid battery stack 15 housed in the outer casing 20 is shown. Figure 3A IIIB-IIIB section. The all-solid-state battery element 8 of the all-solid-state battery stack 15 has a negative electrode collector layer 1 and a positive electrode collector layer 5, and three of them are stacked in the opposite direction in the stacking order. In the all-solid-state battery element 8, the negative electrode collector layer 1, the negative electrode active material layer 2, the solid electrolyte layer 3, the positive electrode active material layer 4 and the positive electrode collector layer 5 are stacked in sequence. The negative electrode collector layer 1 is connected to the negative terminal 1a. The positive electrode collector layer 5 is connected to the positive terminal 5a. Furthermore, the number of all-solid-state battery elements 8 contained in the all-solid-state battery stack 15 may be one or more than four. The insulating film 7 insulates the all-solid-state battery stack 15 from the outer casing (laminate film) 20.
[0039] The single cell 10 is a sulfide-based all-solid-state battery. In the present disclosure, a sulfide-based all-solid-state battery refers to an all-solid-state battery containing a sulfur component in at least one of the materials of the positive electrode active material layer 4 or the materials of the solid electrolyte layer 3. In the present embodiment, the solid electrolyte layer 3 contains a sulfide-based solid electrolyte. For example, the sulfide-based solid electrolyte may be an electrolyte using phosphorus pentasulfide (P2S5) or lithium sulfide (Li2S) as a starting material. In this case, the positive electrode active material layer 4 may, for example, contain lithium cobalt oxide, lithium nickel oxide, lithium iron phosphate, etc. In the case where the solid electrolyte layer 3 is composed of an oxide-based solid electrolyte, the positive electrode active material layer 4 uses a sulfur-based positive electrode active material. As a sulfur-based positive electrode active material, it may be an organic sulfur compound or an inorganic sulfur compound. Furthermore, both the solid electrolyte layer 3 and the positive electrode active material layer 4 may contain a sulfur component.
[0040] In the single cell 10, for example, there is a concern that air may intrude from the sealed portion of the exterior member 20 (laminated film). If the intruding air contains moisture, the sulfur component contained in the solid electrolyte layer 3 or the positive electrode active material layer 4 may react with the moisture. In addition, hydrogen sulfide may be generated and released into the battery case 90.
[0041] Reference Figure 2, multiple single cells 10 are arranged between a pair of end plates 31, 32 and stacked. Multiple single cells 10 are clamped between a pair of end plates 31, 32 in a stacked state. A predetermined restraining load is applied to the multiple single cells 10 using a restraining belt (not shown) or the like. The pair of end plates 31, 32 are fixed to the bottom plate 30 using brackets 41, 42. The battery module 50 composed of the single cells 10 stacked between a pair of end plates 31, 32, the bottom plate 30, etc. is fixed to the bottom surface 91a of the lower shell 91. The battery shell 90 is a shell (shell) that accommodates the battery module 50.
[0042] The upper housing 92 is provided with a conduit 60. The conduit 60 is a communication path that connects the inside and outside of the battery housing 90. If the internal pressure of the battery housing 90 increases, the conduit 60 discharges the air in the battery housing 90 to the outside. If the internal pressure of the battery housing 90 decreases, the conduit 60 takes in the external air (external air). The conduit 60 is installed in an opening formed on the top surface 92a of the upper housing 92.
[0043] At the end of the conduit 60, there are provided breathing membranes 61 and 62 made of air-permeable waterproof (moisture-permeable waterproof) sheets. The air-permeable waterproof (moisture-permeable waterproof) sheet may be, for example, GORE-TEX (ゴアテックス) (registered trademark). A desulfurizer 63 is arranged inside the conduit 60. The desulfurizer 63 may be, for example, a granular desulfurizer having iron oxide as the main component. The desulfurizer 63 chemically adsorbs hydrogen sulfide. Any desulfurizer that adsorbs and absorbs the desulfurizer 63 is sufficient. If the internal pressure of the battery casing 90 increases, the air in the battery casing 90 is discharged to the outside through the conduit 60 as shown by the dotted arrow. At this time, the hydrogen sulfide contained in the air is chemically adsorbed by the desulfurizer 63 to purify the hydrogen sulfide. In this way, the conduit 60 and the desulfurizer 63 constitute a desulfurization unit Dsu.
[0044] A hydrogen sulfide sensor 70 is disposed inside the conduit 60. The hydrogen sulfide sensor 70 is a sensor for detecting the concentration of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) contained in the atmosphere. The hydrogen sulfide sensor 70 outputs a signal indicating the detection result to the ECU 150. The hydrogen sulfide sensor 70 may be, for example, a hot wire semiconductor sensor or a constant potential electrolytic sensor. In the present embodiment, the hydrogen sulfide sensor 70 is disposed on the outer side of the battery case 90 relative to the desulfurizing agent 63 in the conduit 60 (on the downstream side of the logistics when the hydrogen sulfide contained in the air in the battery case 90 is discharged).
[0045] When the air containing hydrogen sulfide in the battery case 90 is discharged to the outside of the battery case 90 via the conduit 60, the hydrogen sulfide is purified (adsorbed) by the desulfurizer 63, and the discharge of hydrogen sulfide to the outside of the battery case 90 can be suppressed. If the hydrogen sulfide adsorption amount of the desulfurizer 63 is saturated, the adsorption of hydrogen sulfide by the desulfurizer 63 becomes difficult. Moreover, hydrogen sulfide flows from the desulfurizer 63 to the outside of the battery case 90 (the downstream side of the logistics when hydrogen sulfide is discharged). In addition, if the hydrogen sulfide adsorption amount of the desulfurizer 63 is close to the saturated state, the adsorption capacity of hydrogen sulfide of the desulfurizer 63 is reduced, and sometimes hydrogen sulfide also flows from the desulfurizer 63 to the outside of the battery case 90. According to this embodiment, hydrogen sulfide is detected by using the hydrogen sulfide sensor 70 of the conduit 60 arranged on the outside of the battery case 90 relative to the desulfurizer 63. Thus, it can be detected that the adsorption amount of hydrogen sulfide of the desulfurizer 63 is saturated or may be saturated.
[0046] Figure 4 1 is a diagram showing functional blocks configured in the ECU 150. Based on the detection signal (detection value) of the hydrogen sulfide sensor 70, the determination unit 150a determines whether a prescribed condition is satisfied. When the determination unit 150a determines that the prescribed condition is satisfied, the notification unit 150b uses at least one of the HMI device 120, the MIL 125, the hazard warning light 140, and the external display 160 to make a notification (announcement). In the present embodiment, in the determination unit 150a, when hydrogen sulfide is detected by the hydrogen sulfide sensor 70, the notification unit 150b displays "the desulfurization unit needs to be replaced" on the display device of the HMI device 120. At the same time, the notification unit 150b lights up the MIL 125. Thus, the user of the vehicle 100 can be notified that the desulfurization unit Dsu needs to be replaced. Furthermore, "when hydrogen sulfide is detected by the hydrogen sulfide sensor 70" may be a situation where the hydrogen sulfide concentration becomes a concentration that can be detected by the hydrogen sulfide sensor 70 (the concentration of the lower limit of detection).
[0047] When the determination unit 150a determines that the detection value (hydrogen sulfide concentration) of the hydrogen sulfide sensor 70 exceeds the set value, the notification unit 150b turns on the MIL 125. Furthermore, the notification unit 150b displays the request "replacement of desulfurization unit" and "stop on the shoulder / evacuate" on the display device of the HMI device 120. Furthermore, the notification unit 150b flashes the hazard warning lamp 140 and displays "Caution (hydrogen sulfide)" on the external display.
[0048] According to the present embodiment, by detecting hydrogen sulfide using the hydrogen sulfide sensor 70 of the conduit 60 disposed on the outside of the battery case 90 relative to the desulfurizing agent 63, it is possible to detect that the adsorption amount of hydrogen sulfide of the desulfurizing agent 63 is saturated. In addition, it is possible to urge the user to replace the desulfurizing agent 63 (desulfurization unit Dsu). In addition, when a large amount of hydrogen sulfide is generated, it is also possible to call attention to the surroundings of the vehicle 100.
[0049] Modifications
[0050] Figure 5A , Figure 5B This is a diagram for explaining a desulfurization unit Dsu according to a modified example. Figure 5A In the desulfurization unit Dsu shown in , the hydrogen sulfide sensor 70 is arranged on the inner side of the battery casing 90 relative to the desulfurization agent 63 in the conduit 60 (the upstream side of the flow when the hydrogen sulfide contained in the air in the battery casing 90 is discharged). In this case, the determination unit 150a accumulates the concentration Chs [ppm] of hydrogen sulfide detected by the hydrogen sulfide sensor 70 per unit time (for example, 1 second). And, when the accumulated value exceeds the prescribed value A, the determination unit 150a determines that the prescribed condition is satisfied. And, the notification unit 150b lights up the MIL 125 while causing the display device of the HMI device 120 to display [Desulfurization unit needs to be replaced]. The prescribed value A is set in advance based on the ventilation volume inside the battery casing 90, the saturation amount of hydrogen sulfide adsorption of the desulfurization agent 63, etc. through experiments, etc.
[0051] exist Figure 5B In the desulfurization unit Dsu shown in , the hydrogen sulfide sensor 70 is provided in the portion where the desulfurization agent 63 is arranged in the conduit 60. In this case, the determination unit 150a accumulates the concentration Chs [ppm] of hydrogen sulfide detected by the hydrogen sulfide sensor 70 per unit time (for example, 1 second). And, when the accumulated value exceeds the prescribed value B, the determination unit 150a determines that the prescribed condition is satisfied. And, the notification unit 150b lights up the MIL 125 while causing the display device of the HMI device 120 to display [Desulfurization unit needs to be replaced]. The prescribed value B is set in advance by experiments, etc. The prescribed value B is set to a value smaller than the prescribed value A.
[0052] In these modified examples, after the integrated value exceeds the predetermined value A or the predetermined value B, if the detection value (hydrogen sulfide concentration) of the hydrogen sulfide sensor 70 continues to exceed the set value, the notification unit 150b further displays a request "Stop on the shoulder of the road / avoid driving" on the display device of the HMI device 120. Furthermore, the notification unit 150b may display "Caution (hydrogen sulfide)" on the external display while flashing the hazard warning light 140.
[0053] Implementation Method 2
[0054] Figure 6 1 is a diagram for explaining the desulfurization unit Dsu in Embodiment 2. Embodiment 2 is the same as Embodiment 1 except for the configuration of the desulfurization unit Dsu. Figure 6 As shown in the upper part of the embodiment 2, the desulfurization unit Dsu of embodiment 2 is composed of five conduits 60a to 60e. The first conduit 60a includes a breathing membrane 61. The first conduit 60a is installed at the opening of the battery housing 90 (upper housing 92). A desulfurization agent 63 is arranged inside the second conduit 60b and the fourth conduit 60d. The third conduit 60c connects the second conduit 60b and the fourth conduit 60d. The fifth conduit 60e includes a breathing membrane 62, and is connected to the inside of the battery housing 90 via the breathing membrane 62.
[0055] The first conduit 60a and the second conduit 60b are fastened at their respective flanges using fastening members fp. The fastening member fp may be, for example, a clip or a screw fastening member. The second conduit 60b and the third conduit 60c are fastened at their respective flanges using fastening members fp. The third conduit 60c and the fourth conduit 60d are fastened at their respective flanges using fastening members fp. The fourth conduit 60d and the fifth conduit 60e are fastened at their respective flanges using fastening members fp.
[0056] The second conduit 60b and the fourth conduit 60d in which the desulfurizing agent 63 is arranged have basically the same structure. The second conduit 60b and the fourth conduit 60d have the function of a replaceable desulfurization unit 60Ct. The third conduit 60c connects the second conduit 60b (desulfurization unit 60Ct) and the fourth conduit 60d (desulfurization unit 60Ct). The third conduit 60c is equivalent to an example of a "connecting pipe" of the present disclosure. In addition, the second conduit 60b (desulfurization unit 60Ct) is equivalent to the "first desulfurization unit" of the present disclosure. The fourth conduit 60d (desulfurization unit 60Ct) is equivalent to the "second desulfurization unit" of the present disclosure. The second conduit 60b is arranged on the outer side of the battery casing 90 relative to the fourth conduit 60d (the downstream side of the flow when the hydrogen sulfide contained in the air in the battery casing 90 is discharged).
[0057] The flow path cross-sectional area of the third conduit 60c is smaller than the flow path cross-sectional areas of the other conduits (the first conduit 60a, the second conduit 60b, the fourth conduit 60d, and the fifth conduit 60e). The third conduit 60c is an example of a "narrow passage portion" of the present disclosure. The hydrogen sulfide sensor 70 is provided inside the third conduit 60c.
[0058] In the second embodiment, when the determination unit 150a of the ECU 150 detects hydrogen sulfide using the hydrogen sulfide sensor 70, the notification unit 150b causes the display device of the HMI device 120 to display "replacement of the desulfurization unit is necessary" and lights up the MIL 125. When the hydrogen sulfide sensor 70 detects hydrogen sulfide, it is highly likely that the amount of hydrogen sulfide adsorbed by the fourth conduit 60d (desulfurization unit 60Ct) is saturated. Thus, the user can be notified that the fourth conduit 60d (desulfurization unit 60Ct) needs to be replaced. Moreover, the replacement of the fourth conduit 60d (desulfurization unit 60Ct) can be promoted.
[0059] When the hydrogen sulfide adsorption capacity of the fourth conduit 60d (desulfurization unit 60Ct) is saturated and replaced, as shown in FIG. Figure 6 As shown in the lower part of the , the second conduit 60b (desulfurization unit 60Ct) used so far is connected to the fifth conduit 60e. In addition, the new desulfurization unit 60Ct can be connected to the first conduit 60a. This is because when the hydrogen sulfide sensor 70 detects hydrogen sulfide, there is a sufficient margin for the hydrogen sulfide adsorption amount of the second conduit 60b (desulfurization unit 60Ct) until saturation.
[0060] If the amount of hydrogen sulfide adsorbed by the fourth conduit 60d (desulfurization unit 60Ct) is saturated, hydrogen sulfide flows into the second conduit 60b (desulfurization unit 60Ct) through the third conduit 60c. At this time, when the concentration of hydrogen sulfide flowing in the third conduit 60c is below the detection limit of the hydrogen sulfide sensor 70, hydrogen sulfide cannot be detected by the hydrogen sulfide sensor 70. Even in such a case, the desulfurization agent 63 in the second conduit 60b adsorbs hydrogen sulfide. Therefore, it is possible to suppress the release of hydrogen sulfide to the outside of the battery case 90.
[0061] In this second embodiment, the hydrogen sulfide sensor 70 is provided in the third conduit 60c having a smaller flow path cross-sectional area than the flow path cross-sectional areas of the other conduits. Hydrogen sulfide is heavier than air (has a larger specific gravity than air). Its concentration may fluctuate in the conduit. In the third conduit 60c having a smaller flow path cross-sectional area, the fluctuation of the concentration of hydrogen sulfide in the conduit is more likely to decrease. Therefore, hydrogen sulfide can be detected more reliably.
[0062] In the above embodiment, an example in which the battery pack 200 is mounted on the vehicle 100 is described. The battery pack 200 may be a stationary power storage device.
[0063] The embodiments disclosed this time should be considered to be illustrative in all aspects and not restrictive. The scope of the present disclosure is not indicated by the description of the above-mentioned embodiments, but by the patent claims. The scope of the present disclosure is intended to include all modifications within the meaning and scope equivalent to the patent claims.
