[0039] A component supply device according to a first aspect of the present invention is a component supply device that supplies components stored in a plurality of grooves formed at a constant pitch on a carrier tape. The component supply device comprises: a tape conveying section that conveys the carrier tape along a tape conveying path; a tape cover that has an opening for taking out components and presses a portion of the upper surface of the carrier tape; an operating section that operates to indicate the conveying amount of the carrier tape conveyed by the tape conveying section; and a mark that indicates the stop position of the front end of the carrier tape.
[0040] Thus, the user can use the operation unit to indicate the amount of the carrier tape to be transported so that the front end of the carrier tape stops at the position indicated by the mark, thereby positioning the carrier tape at the stop position. Therefore, even if the pitch information of the grooves of the carrier tape cannot be obtained, the carrier tape can be positioned at the stop position.
[0041] According to a second aspect of the present invention, based on the component supply device of the first aspect, the component removal position varies according to the pitch of multiple grooves formed on the carrier tape, and the component removal position is a stop position or a position located downstream of the tape conveying path than the stop position.
[0042] According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the component supplying device of the first or second aspect, the stop position is the same position regardless of the pitch of the plurality of grooves formed in the carrier tape.
[0043] According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, in the component supply device according to any one of the first to fourth aspects, at least a portion of the component accommodated in the front end of the concave groove of the carrier tape stopped at the stop position is covered by the tape cover.
[0044] Thus, when the carrier tape is stopped at the stop position, at least a portion of the components stored in the leading end of the groove of the carrier tape is covered by the tape cover, so that even if the components are to escape from the carrier tape to the outside, they are prevented by the tape cover. Therefore, when the component supply device is transported from the workbench to the component loading device with the carrier tape stopped at the stop position, it is possible to reduce the spillage of components from the component supply device.
[0045] According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, in the component supply device of any one of the first to fourth aspects, the stop position is located within the opening of the belt cover.
[0046] According to a sixth aspect of the present invention, based on the component supply device of the fifth aspect, the carrier tape comprises: a base tape having a groove formed therein; and a top tape covering the component accommodated in the groove. In the stop position, the carrier tape is in a state where the top tape covering the component accommodated in the groove is peeled off. A part of the leading component accommodated in the groove is exposed through the opening.
[0047] According to a seventh aspect of the present invention, in the component supply device of the second aspect, the component removal position is a position shifted downstream from the stop position in the tape conveyance path by an amount corresponding to the pitch of the grooves of the carrier tape.
[0048] According to an eighth aspect of the present invention, based on any one of the component supply devices of the first to seventh aspects, a plurality of grooves are formed in the carrier tape with a pitch of 8 mm or more and a length that is a multiple of 4.
[0049] According to a ninth aspect of the present invention, in the component supply device according to any one of the first to eighth aspects, the stop position is located at a distance of 4 mm or more and within 5 mm from the upstream end of the opening.
[0050] Hereinafter, exemplary embodiments of the component supply device of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. The present invention is not limited to the specific configurations of the following embodiments, and configurations based on the same technical concept are included in the present invention.
[0051] (Implementation Method)
[0052] First, refer to Figure 1 A component mounting system 100 and a component mounting device 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described. Figure 1 It is a side view of main parts showing in a simplified manner a component mounting system 100 including the component mounting device 1 .
[0053] The component mounting system 100 is a system for mounting components 5 on a substrate 4 to manufacture a mounted substrate. The component mounting system 100 includes a component mounting device 1 , a management device 92 , a portable information terminal 95 , and a network 96 .
[0054] The component mounting device 1 is a device that repeatedly performs a series of component mounting operations of mounting components 5 on a substrate 4 carried in from another device in an upstream process and carrying out components 5 to another device in a downstream process. The component mounting device 1 includes a main body 2 and a component supply unit 3 .
[0055] The main body 2 includes a base 11, a substrate conveying unit 12, a mounting head 13, a head moving mechanism 14, an operating unit 16, and a main body control unit 17. The substrate conveying unit 12 includes a conveying mechanism, which conveys the substrate 4 received from the device of the upstream process in the horizontal direction and positions it at a predetermined working position. In this embodiment, the conveying direction of the substrate 4 in the component mounting device 1 is set to the X direction (lateral direction), and the up and down direction is set to the Z direction. In addition, the direction orthogonal to the X direction and the Z direction is set to the Y direction (front and back direction). The operating unit 16 is arranged on the side of the main body 2. The operating unit 16 has a touch screen 16a on its surface, and the information, operation buttons, etc. required for the operation of the component mounting device 1 are displayed on the touch screen 16a. In addition, the touch screen 16a displays information such as the working status and warnings of the component mounting device 1, and also functions as a reporting unit that reports information to the operator.
[0056] The mounting head 13 includes a plurality of nozzles 13a extending downward. The lower end of each nozzle 13a generates a vacuum suction force for adsorbing the component 5. The head moving mechanism 14 includes, for example, an XY stage, and moves the mounting head 13 within the XY plane.
[0057] The component supply unit 3 includes a carriage 21 and a component supply device 23. The carriage 21 is provided with a unit base 31 and a reel holding unit 32.
[0058] The unit base 31 is a member for mounting the component supply device 23. A plurality of mounting sockets (not shown) for mounting the component supply device 23 are provided at equal intervals in the X direction on the unit base 31. The component supply device 23 supplies the component 5 to the mounting head 13 of the component mounting device 1, and is, for example, a tape feeder.
[0059] The reel holding portion 32 mounts and holds the reel 22 on which the carrier tape 24 is wound and stored. The reel holding portion 32 is provided with a plurality of holders (not shown) for holding the reel 22 .
[0060] A barcode 28 including information about the components packed in the carrier tape 24 (hereinafter referred to as component information) is attached to the reel 22. The barcode 28 is a type of identifier that encodes information including the component information, but is not limited to a one-dimensional code and may be another identifier such as a two-dimensional code.
[0061] A plurality of component supply devices 23 can be mounted on the unit base 31 in a row along the X direction. Each of the component supply devices 23 is provided with an opening 23b (see Figure 7 ). Each component supply device 23 mounted on the unit base 31 conveys the mounted carrier tape 24 forward and supplies the component 5 held by the carrier tape 24 to the opening 23b at a predetermined position. The component 5 supplied to the opening 23b is picked up by the mounting head 13 and mounted on the substrate 4.
[0062] When the component mounting device 1 performs a component mounting operation, first, the substrate conveying unit 12 operates to carry in the substrate 4 from the outside and positions it at a predetermined working position. After the substrate 4 is positioned at the working position by the substrate conveying unit 12, a mounting cycle based on the linkage between the operation of the component supply device 23 supplying the component 5 to the opening 23b and the operation of the head moving mechanism 14 moving the mounting head 13 is repeatedly performed.
[0063] In one loading cycle, the mounting head 13 moves to a position above the component supply device 23, absorbs (picks up) the component 5 with the nozzle 13a, and then moves to a position above the substrate 4 to mount the component 5 on the substrate 4. After all the components 5 to be mounted on the substrate 4 are mounted by repeatedly performing the loading cycle, the substrate conveying unit 12 operates to carry the substrate 4 to the device of the downstream process. Thus, the component loading operation corresponding to one substrate 4 is completed.
[0064] The management device 92 is connected to the component mounting device 1 so as to be able to communicate, and collects and manages the production information of the component mounting device 1. The management device 92 is, for example, a host computer, and can be composed of a circuit such as a microcomputer, a CPU, an MPU, a GPU, a DSP, an FPGA, or an ASIC. The functions of the management device 92 are realized by combining hardware and software. The management device 92 realizes a predetermined function by reading the data and program stored in the storage unit and performing various calculations.
[0065] The portable information terminal 95 is a member for confirming the notification from the management device 92 and the status of the component mounting device 1 to the operator who carries it. The portable information terminal 95 is a kind of information acquisition device that acquires the component information of the reel 22 and the carrier tape 24 used in the component supply device 23. The portable information terminal 95 has, for example, a barcode reader that can read the barcode 28 provided on the storage body (reel, box) storing the carrier tape 24.
[0066] The portable information terminal 95 is wirelessly connected to the management device 92 via WiFi or the like, and can communicate with the management device 92. The portable information terminal 95 can also communicate with the component mounting device 1. The component information obtained by the portable information terminal 95 is sent to the management device 92. The portable information terminal 95 has a display panel 95a, and displays information notified to the operator, etc. It should be noted that in this embodiment, the portable information terminal 95 is described as an example as an information acquisition unit, but any information acquisition unit having a barcode reader can be used. In addition, when a wireless tag is used instead of the barcode 28, any information acquisition unit having a reader for reading the information of the wireless tag can be used.
[0067] The portable information terminal 95 communicates wirelessly with the management device 92, so the operator can check the production information held by the management device 92 while carrying the portable information terminal 95. The portable information terminal 95 is, for example, a tablet terminal or a smartphone.
[0068] The network 96 connects the management device 92 and the component mounting device 1 so that they can communicate with each other.
[0069] The component mounting system 100 is used as Figure 1 The structure not shown in the figure is also provided with a feeder operation device 300. Figure 2 It is a side view schematically showing the feeder operation device 300 and the component supply device 23 attached to the feeder operation device 300 .
[0070] The feeder operation device 300 is used for Figure 1 The component supply device 23 is temporarily mounted outside the unit base 31 of the component mounting device 1 shown in the figure and operated. For example, when an error occurs in the component supply device 23 mounted on the unit base 31 and used, the component supply device 23 is removed from the unit base 31 and mounted on the feeder operation device 300. In this way, the component supply device 23 can be set to a power supply state and various recovery operations can be performed.
[0071] The feeder operation device 300 includes a workbench 302 and a power supply unit 304. The workbench 302 is a member for mounting and supporting the component supply device 23, and has a mounting socket (not shown) for mounting the component supply device 23. The power supply unit 304 is a member for supplying power to the unit control unit 64 of the component supply device 23 mounted on the workbench 302, and is built in the workbench 302. The power supply unit 304 is, for example, a power supply.
[0072] The component supply device 23 attached to the feeder operation device 300 is in an “offline state” in which communication with the component mounting device 1 and the management device 92 is impossible.
[0073] "Carrier"
[0074] Next, refer to Figure 3 The carrier tape 24 will be described. Figure 3 2 is a perspective view showing a part of the carrier tape 24 in an enlarged manner. The carrier tape 24 includes a base tape 51 and a top tape 52. A plurality of grooves 53 opening upward are arranged in a row in the length direction of the base tape 51 and are evenly spaced at a predetermined pitch Pt, and each groove 53 accommodates a component 5. The top tape 52 is attached to the upper surface of the base tape 51 and seals the component 5 in the groove 53. In this way, the carrier tape 24 packs the component 5. A plurality of feed holes 54 are arranged in a row and are evenly spaced in a row at positions parallel to the row of grooves 53 of the base tape 51. The length of the pitch of the feed holes 54 is, for example, 4 mm.
[0075] The top tape 52 of the carrier tape 24 has an extension portion 52a extending from the front end portion 24a of the base tape 51. The extension portion 52a is provided so that the exposed portion 66 (see Figure 4 ) is provided to capture the top tape 52, and the dimension from the front end 24a of the base tape 51 to the front end 52b of the extension portion 52a becomes the length required to reach the exposed portion 66 from the tape conveying path 60 and be captured. It should be noted that the front end 24a of the base tape 51 is also recorded as the front end 24a of the carrier tape 24. The front end 24a of the carrier tape 24 is cut in a manner that divides the feed hole 54.
[0076] 《Parts supply device》
[0077] Next, refer to Figure 4 The detailed structure of the component supply device 23 will be described. Figure 4 It is a schematic diagram of the component supply device 23 of this embodiment.
[0078] The component supply device 23 includes a tape conveying path 60, a tape conveying unit 61, a unit control unit 64, and a unit side connector 65. The component supply device 23 includes a tape inlet 23a for inserting the carrier tape 24 into the tape conveying path 60, an opening 23b for supplying components, and a discharge port 23c for discharging the carrier tape 24 from the tape conveying path 60.
[0079] The tape conveying path 60 is formed in the main body 23d of the component supply device 23, and guides the carrier tape 24 pulled out from the reel 22 and inserted into the component supply device 23 from the tape inlet 23a through the interior of the component supply device 23 to the component removal position Pa in the opening 23b, and further to the discharge port 23c.
[0080] The tape inlet 23a opens on the upstream side of the tape feeding direction in the component supply device 23. The discharge port 23c opens on the downstream side of the tape feeding direction. The tape conveying path 60 is connected from the tape inlet 23a to the discharge port 23c. The mounting head 13 takes out the component 5 at the component taking-out position Pa provided on the downstream side of the tape conveying path 60.
[0081] The tape conveyor 61 conveys the carrier tape 24 to the component removal position Pa on the downstream side of the tape conveyor path 60. The tape conveyor 61 includes a first conveyor sprocket 61a, a second conveyor sprocket 61b, a third conveyor sprocket 61c, and a driving unit 61d that engage with the feed hole 54 of the carrier tape 24.
[0082] The first conveying sprocket 61 a , the second conveying sprocket 61 b , and the third conveying sprocket 61 c are arranged in this order from the downstream side along the tape conveying path 60 .
[0083] The driving unit 61d includes, for example, a motor 61e as a power source, a power transmission member that transmits the power of the power source from the first conveying sprocket 61a to the third conveying sprocket 61c, and a sensor 61f that detects the rotation amount of the motor 61e. The power transmission member is, for example, a gear.
[0084] The tape conveyance section 61 functions as a tape conveyance section that conveys the carrier tape 24 along the tape conveyance path 60 and supplies the components 5 to the component removal position Pa.
[0085] The component supply device 23 includes a first sensor PH1 and a second sensor PH2 which are arranged in this order from the upstream side along the tape conveyance path 60 .
[0086] The first sensor PH1 detects the presence of the carrier tape 24 at a position upstream of the exposed portion 66 of the tape conveying path 60 and the third conveying sprocket 61c. The position where the first sensor PH1 detects the presence of the carrier tape 24 in the tape conveying path 60 is the first position Pn1. When the front end portion 24a of the carrier tape 24 passes through the first position Pn1, the first sensor PH1 sends a detection signal to the unit control unit 64.
[0087] The second sensor PH2 detects the presence of the carrier tape 24 at a position downstream of the exposed portion 66 of the tape conveying path 60 and upstream of the component removal position Pa. When the second sensor PH2 detects the presence of the carrier tape 24, it sends a detection signal to the unit control unit 64. The first sensor PH1 and the second sensor PH2 are optical sensors that directly or indirectly detect the presence of the carrier tape 24 at their respective arrangement locations, and are, for example, reflective or transmissive photoelectric sensors.
[0088] The exposed portion 66 allows the carrier tape 24 (see Figure 3 ) is peeled off from the carrier tape 24 to expose the component 5 packed in the carrier tape 24. The exposed portion 66 of the present embodiment adopts a method of peeling the top tape 52 from the carrier tape 24 using air and a roller, but the top tape 52 may be cut by a cutter or the like to expose the component 5. It should be noted that in the following description, after the top tape 52 is peeled off from the base tape 51, the base tape 51 from which the top tape 52 is peeled off is also referred to as the carrier tape 24.
[0089] The second sensor PH2 is disposed at a position downstream of the position where the exposed portion 66 is disposed. The detection result detected by the second sensor PH2 is sent to the unit control unit 64. It should be noted that the second sensor PH2 may also be provided with a measuring block that can mechanically contact the front end portion 24a of the carrier tape 24, and the displacement of the measuring block that occurs when the carrier tape 24 contacts the measuring block may be detected by an optical sensor, thereby detecting the front end portion 24a of the carrier tape 24. If the displacement of the measuring block is detected by an optical sensor, the carrier tape 24 can be reliably detected even when the carrier tape 24 is formed of a light-transmitting raw material.
[0090] 《Operation Panel》
[0091] The component supply device 23 has Figure 5 A handle 30 as shown. Figure 5 1 is a perspective view showing a handle 30 of the component supply device 23. The handle 30 is a member for an operator to hold the component supply device 23. The handle 30 of the present embodiment is provided with an operation panel 18 for operating the component supply device 23. The operation panel 18 as an operation unit includes a plurality of operation switch groups 33 and a display unit 34.
[0092] The operation switch group 33 is a switch for performing various operations on the component supply device 23. The operation switch group 33 includes, for example, switches 33a, 33b, 33c, 33d, and 33e. The switch 33a, for example, instructs the drive of the tape conveying unit 61. The switch 33b instructs the forward drive for feeding the carrier tape 24 in the forward direction. The switch 33c instructs the reverse drive for feeding the carrier tape 24 in the reverse direction. The conveying amount of the carrier tape 24 can be adjusted by the number of times and time of pressing the switches 33b and 33c. By pressing the switches 33d and 33e, other functions can be implemented.
[0093] The display unit 34 displays information related to the component supply device 23 . Figure 5 The display unit 34 shown includes a 7-segment display 35 and lamps 36 and 37. The 7-segment display 35 is a part for displaying numerical values and characters. The 7-segment display 35 displays information about errors that have occurred, for example, in addition to the status of the component supply device 23 and the carrier tape 24. The lamps 36 and 37 are lamps that can be lit in a manner of notifying the operator. The lamps 36 and 37 have, for example, LEDs, and are lit to let the operator know which component supply device 23 is the target of the operation among the plurality of component supply devices 23. Therefore, the display unit 34 displays information such as the operation status and warnings of the component supply device 23, and also functions as a reporting unit that reports information to the operator.
[0094] Next, refer to Figure 6 The functional structure of the component mounting system 100 including the component mounting device 1 will be described. Figure 6 This is a block diagram showing an example of the functional configuration of the component mounting system 100 .
[0095] The management device 92 includes a management storage unit 94. The management storage unit 94 stores various information related to the production of the mounting substrate. The management storage unit 94 stores a production program 111, component storage body information 113, and component configuration information 115. The management storage unit 94 can be implemented by, for example, a hard disk (HDD), an SSD, a RAM, a DRAM, a ferroelectric memory, a flash memory, a magnetic disk, or a combination thereof.
[0096] The component storage body information 113 is information obtained by associating a "reel ID" with a "component name". The "reel ID" is identification information for identifying the reel 22 storing the carrier tape 24. The "component name" is information indicating the name of the component 5 held by the carrier tape 24 stored in the reel 22. In addition, the "component name" here may also be the name of the component 5 that the component supply device 23 should supply with reference to the production program 111.
[0097] The production program 111 is a program required to operate the component mounting device 1. The production program 111 stored in the management storage unit 94 of the management device 92 can also be downloaded and stored in the main storage unit 45. The production program 111 also includes information such as the component mounting position (coordinates) of the substrate 4, the name of the component 5 mounted at the component mounting position, the mounting order, and the pitch of the carrier tape 24.
[0098] A plurality of component supply devices 23 can be mounted on the component mounting device 1, and each of the component supply devices 23 is provided with a unit control unit 64. The unit control unit 64 is provided with a belt conveying control unit 64a and a unit storage unit 64b. The unit control unit 64 can be implemented by a circuit formed by semiconductor elements and the like. The unit control unit 64 is composed of, for example, a circuit such as a microcomputer, a CPU, an MPU, a GPU, a DSP, an FPGA or an ASIC. The functions of the unit control unit 64 can also be composed of hardware alone, or can be realized by combining hardware with software. The unit control unit 64 realizes a predetermined function by reading out data and programs stored in the unit storage unit 64b and performing various calculations.
[0099] The unit control unit 64 is connected to the motor 61e of the driving unit 61d, the exposed portion 66, the first sensor PH1, and the second sensor PH2 so as to be communicable, and the unit control unit 64 controls the operation of each of the driving unit 61d and the exposed portion 66. That is, the unit control unit 64 drives and controls the motor 61e of the driving unit 61d, thereby performing a tape conveying operation of conveying the carrier tape 24 along the tape conveying path 60. At this time, the unit control unit 64 can control the conveying timing and conveying amount of the carrier tape 24.
[0100] The unit control unit 64 is connected to the operation panel 18 so as to be communicable, and the unit control unit 64 is connected to the main body control unit 17 of the main body 2 of the component mounting device 1 so as to be communicable.
[0101] The tape transport control unit 64 a controls the operation of the motor 61 e of the tape transport unit 61 based on an operation command input from the operation panel 18 or a control command sent from the main body control unit 17 to control the tape feeding operation of the carrier tape 24 mounted on the component supply device 23 .
[0102] The unit storage unit 64b stores component information of the carrier tape 24 mounted on the component supply device 23. The unit storage unit 64b stores component information of the carrier tape 24 mounted on the component supply device 23. The unit storage unit 64b can be implemented by, for example, a hard disk (HDD), an SSD, a RAM, a DRAM, a ferroelectric memory, a flash memory, a magnetic disk, or a combination thereof.
[0103] The unit side connector 65 is connected to the main body side connector 10 via the connector of the unit base 31 so as to be communicable, and can mutually exchange information between the unit control unit 64 and the main body control unit 17. It should be noted that the unit side connector 65 can also be connected to a connector of an external production change adjustment device or maintenance device by removing the component supply device 23 from the main body 2, and mutually exchange information between the unit control unit 64 and the external production change adjustment device or maintenance device.
[0104] The main body control unit 17 controls the operation of mounting components using the main body 2. The main body control unit 17 includes a component mounting control unit 41, a spacing information acquisition unit 43, and a main body storage unit 45. The main body control unit 17 can be composed of circuits such as a microcomputer, a CPU, an MPU, a GPU, a DSP, an FPGA, or an ASIC. The functions of the main body control unit 17 are realized by combining hardware and software. The main body control unit 17 realizes predetermined functions by reading data and programs stored in the main body storage unit 45 and performing various calculations.
[0105] The main storage unit 45 is realized by, for example, a hard disk drive (HDD), an SSD, a RAM, a DRAM, a ferroelectric memory, a flash memory, a magnetic disk, or a combination of these.
[0106] The component mounting control unit 41 controls the operation of the head moving mechanism 14, thereby moving the mounting head 13 to a corresponding position of the substrate 4 to which the adsorbed component 5 is to be mounted. In addition, the component mounting control unit 41 has the same function as the tape conveyance control unit 64a of the unit control unit 64, and controls the operation of the tape conveyance unit 61 directly from the main body 2 to control the feeding operation of the carrier tape 24 mounted on the component supply device 23. The operation control of the tape conveyance unit 61 can be performed by either the unit control unit 64 of the component supply device 23 or the main body control unit 17 of the main body 2.
[0107] The pitch information acquisition unit 43 acquires the pitch information included in the production program 111 stored in the management storage unit 94 of the management device 92 , and stores the pitch information in the main body storage unit 45 .
[0108] Next, refer to Figures 7 to 9 The stop position of the carrier tape 24 of the component supply device 23 provided in the feeder operation device 300 will be described. Figure 7 It is a top view of the component supply device 23. Figure 8 as well as Fig. 9 It is a top view of the component supply device 23 around the opening 23b.
[0109] like Figure 7As shown in FIG. 1 , a tape cover 81 is disposed on the upper portion of the main body 23d of the component supply device 23 around the component removal position Pa. The tape cover 81 is disposed so as to straddle the upper portions of two opposing frames 23da and 23db constituting the main body 23d. The tape cover 81 presses the side of the upper surface of the carrier tape 24 conveyed along the tape conveying path 60, thereby preventing the carrier tape 24 from floating.
[0110] The tape cover 81 is provided with an opening 23b, for example, in a rectangular shape with the tape conveying direction as the long side. The component 5 accommodated in the groove 53 of the carrier tape 24 from which the top tape 52 has been peeled is exposed through the opening 23b. The component removal position Pa is located in the opening 23b.
[0111] like Figure 8 As shown in FIG. 1 , a mark 83 indicating the position where the front end portion 24a of the carrier tape 24 stops is arranged on the tape cover 81. The position indicated by the mark 83 is the second position Pn2. The second position Pn2 as the stop position is located, for example, in the opening portion 23b of the tape cover 81, and is located downstream of the upstream end of the opening portion 23b and upstream of the component removal position Pa. Figure 8 This indicates that the front end 24a of the carrier tape 24 is transported downstream of the upstream end of the opening 23b and the front end 24a of the carrier tape 24 is exposed. The mark 83 is not limited to a triangle, and other marks such as arrows and straight lines may be used.
[0112] Then, the carrier tape 24 is transported and Fig. 9 As shown, the front end portion 24a of the carrier tape 24 reaches the second position Pn2 and stops the conveyance of the carrier tape 24. Thus, the second position Pn2 is the stop position of the carrier tape 24.
[0113] Next, the arrangement of the carrier tape 24 of the component supply device 23 in the feeder operation device 300 will be described. Figure 2 As shown, component supply device 23 in a state where carrier tape 24 is not yet set is mounted on workbench 302. Component supply device 23 mounted on workbench 302 is supplied with power from power supply unit 304. The operator sets carrier tape 24 on component supply device 23 in this state.
[0114] Reference Fig.10 The operator inserts the carrier tape 24 from the tape inlet 23 a of the component supply device 23 , and moves the carrier tape 24 toward the downstream side along the tape conveyance path 60 .
[0115] When the operator continues to feed the carrier tape 24, as shown in FIG. Fig.11As shown, the front end 24a of the carrier tape 24 abuts against the pin of the third conveying sprocket 61c. At this time, the semicircular feed hole 54 of the front end 24a of the carrier tape 24 abuts against the pin of the third conveying sprocket 61c. The operator cannot move the inserted carrier tape 24 to the downstream side, so the operator can know that the front end 24a of the carrier tape 24 abuts against the pin of the third conveying sprocket 61c.
[0116] In this state, the operator presses the switch 33b of the operation switch group 33 of the operation panel 18 to drive the belt conveying part 61. While the operator presses the switch 33b, the motor 61e of the driving part 61d is driven to rotate, and under the action of the rotation of the third conveying sprocket 61c, the pin of the third conveying sprocket 61c is inserted into the feed hole 54 of the carrier 24, and the carrier 24 is further conveyed to the downstream side.
[0117] When the front end portion 24 a of the carrier tape 24 is detected by the second sensor PH2 , the tape conveying unit 61 performs an operation of causing the exposed portion 66 to catch the top tape 52 .
[0118] When the exposed portion 66 catches the top tape 52 , the top tape 52 is peeled off by the exposed portion 66 and the third conveying sprocket 61 c , and the carrier tape 24 is conveyed further to the downstream side.
[0119] When the carrier tape 24 is further transported to the downstream side, as shown in FIG. Fig.12 As shown, the semicircular feed hole 54 of the front end portion 24a of the carrier tape 24 abuts against the pin of the second transport sprocket 61b.
[0120] As the second conveying sprocket 61 b rotates, the pin of the second conveying sprocket 61 b is inserted into the feed hole 54 of the carrier tape 24 , and the carrier tape 24 is further conveyed to the downstream side.
[0121] Next, if Fig.13 As shown, the operator operates the switches 33b and 33c of the operation switch group 33 of the operation panel 18 so that the front end 24a of the carrier tape 24 visible through the opening 23b of the tape cover 81 stops at the second position Pn2 indicated by the mark 83. As a result, the motor 61e drives the second conveying sprocket 61b to rotate and position it at the front end 24a of the carrier tape 24.
[0122] When the front end portion 24a of the carrier tape 24 is positioned at the second position Pn2, the operator removes the component supply device 23 from the work table 302 of the feeder operation device 300 and mounts it on the unit base 31 of the component mounting device 1. Fig.14As shown, when the operator presses the switch 33d, for example, to instruct the search to the component extraction position Pa, the unit control unit 64 drives and controls the motor 61e. The motor 61e drives the second conveying sprocket 61b to rotate and deliver the carrier tape 24 by a length equal to an integral multiple of the pitch of the grooves 53 of the carrier tape 24, and positions the groove 53 containing the leading component 5 at the component extraction position Pa. Therefore, the component extraction position Pa is a position that varies depending on the pitch Pt of the grooves 53 of the carrier tape 24.
[0123] Next, the second position Pn2 and the component taking-out position Pa corresponding to the pitch Pt of the grooves 53 of the carrier tape 24 will be described. Fig.15 1 is an explanatory diagram showing a state where the carrier tape 24 having the grooves 53 with a pitch of 8 mm is positioned at the second position Pn2. Fig.16 This is an explanatory diagram showing a state where the carrier tape 24 having the grooves 53 with a pitch of 8 mm is positioned at the component removal position Pa.
[0124] like Fig.15 As shown, the distance L1 from the upstream end of the opening 23b to the second position Pn2 indicated by the mark 83 is, for example, 4 mm or more and 5 mm or less, and is set to 4.5 mm in this embodiment. In the case of the carrier tape 24 having the grooves 53 with a pitch of 8 mm, the front end portion 24a of the carrier tape 24 is in a state where a portion of the grooves 53 are cut off.
[0125] For the carrier tape 24 positioned at the second position Pn2, a portion of the groove 53 containing the leading component 5 is exposed through the opening 23b. Therefore, the operator can visually check a portion of the component 5. In this state, even if the component supply device 23 is moved, a portion of the leading component 5 is covered by the tape cover 81, so that it is possible to reduce spillage from the groove 53 to the outside.
[0126] The component supply device 23 mounted on the unit base 31 of the component mounting device 1 is operated according to the instruction of the operator. Fig.16 As shown, the tape conveying unit conveys the carrier tape 24 positioned at the second position Pn2 by a distance L2 and positions the front end 24a of the carrier tape 24 at the third position Pn3. The distance L2 is an integral multiple of the pitch Pt of the groove 53, and in this embodiment is the length of one pitch Pt.
[0127] At the third position Pn3 , the position of the concave groove 53 accommodating the leading end of the component 5 is the component taking-out position Pa. The nozzle 13 a of the mounting head 13 moves to the component taking-out position Pa to suck the component 5 .
[0128] Next, refer to Fig.17 as well as Fig.18 The carrier tape 24 having the grooves 53 with a pitch of 12 mm will be described. Fig.171 is an explanatory diagram showing a state where the carrier tape 24 having the grooves 53 with a pitch of 12 mm is positioned at the second position Pn2. Fig.18 This is an explanatory diagram showing a state where the carrier tape 24 having the grooves 53 with a pitch of 12 mm is positioned at the component removal position Pa.
[0129] like Fig.17 As shown in the figure, in the case of the carrier tape 24 having the grooves 53 with a pitch of 12 mm, the front end portion 24a of the carrier tape 24 is located between the grooves 53 and the grooves 53. For the carrier tape 24 positioned at the second position Pn2, a portion of the groove 53 containing the leading component 5 is exposed through the opening 23b. Therefore, the operator can confirm a portion of the component 5 by visual observation. In this state, even if the component supply device 23 is moved, a portion of the leading component 5 is covered by the tape cover 81, so that it is possible to reduce spillage from the groove 53 to the outside.
[0130] The component supply device 23 mounted on the unit base 31 of the component mounting device 1 is operated according to the instruction of the operator. Fig.18 As shown, the tape transport unit transports carrier tape 24 positioned at second position Pn2 by distance L2 to position front end portion 24a of carrier tape 24 at third position Pn3.
[0131] Next, refer to Fig.19 as well as Fig. 20 The carrier tape 24 having the grooves 53 with a pitch of 16 mm will be described. Fig.19 1 is an explanatory diagram showing a state where the carrier tape 24 having the grooves 53 with a pitch of 16 mm is positioned at the second position Pn2. Fig. 20 This is an explanatory diagram showing a state where the carrier tape 24 having the grooves 53 with a pitch of 16 mm is positioned at the component removal position Pa.
[0132] like Fig.19 As shown in the figure, in the case of the carrier tape 24 having the grooves 53 with a pitch of 16 mm, the front end portion 24a of the carrier tape 24 is in a state where a part of the grooves 53 is cut off. For the carrier tape 24 positioned at the second position Pn2, a part of the groove 53 containing the leading component 5 is exposed through the opening 23b. Therefore, the operator can visually check a part of the component 5. In this state, even if the component supply device 23 is moved, a part of the leading component 5 is covered by the tape cover 81, so that it is possible to reduce spillage from the groove 53 to the outside.
[0133] The component supply device 23 mounted on the unit base 31 of the component mounting device 1 is operated according to the instruction of the operator. Fig. 20 As shown, the tape transport unit transports carrier tape 24 positioned at second position Pn2 by distance L2 to position front end portion 24a of carrier tape 24 at third position Pn3.
[0134] Next, refer to Fig.21 as well as Fig. 22 The carrier tape 24 having the grooves 53 with a pitch of 20 mm will be described. Fig.21 1 is an explanatory diagram showing a state where the carrier tape 24 having the grooves 53 with a pitch of 20 mm is positioned at the second position Pn2. Fig. 22 This is an explanatory diagram showing a state where the carrier tape 24 having the grooves 53 with a pitch of 20 mm is positioned at the component removal position Pa.
[0135] like Fig.21 As shown in the figure, in the case of the carrier tape 24 having the grooves 53 with a pitch of 20 mm, the front end portion 24a of the carrier tape 24 is located between the grooves 53 and the grooves 53.
[0136] The component supply device 23 mounted on the unit base 31 of the component mounting device 1 is operated according to the instruction of the operator. Fig. 22 As shown, tape transport unit 61 transports carrier tape 24 positioned at second position Pn2 by distance L2 to position leading end portion 24a of carrier tape 24 at third position Pn3.
[0137] Furthermore, when the pitch Pt of the grooves 53 is formed to be 24 mm, the carrier tape 24 is similarly positioned at the second position Pn2 in the feeder operation device 300 and is positioned at the third position Pn3 in the component mounting device 1 .
[0138] In this way, if a plurality of grooves 53 are formed in the carrier tape with a pitch Pt of 8 mm or more and a multiple of 4, the alignment with the second position Pn2 is performed in the same manner regardless of the length of the pitch Pt, thereby preventing the loss of the components 5 during the movement of the component supply device 23. The pitch Pt of 8 mm or more and a multiple of 4 is, for example, 8 mm, 12 mm, 16 mm, 20 mm, or 24 mm. In the case where the length of the pitch of the feed holes 54 of the carrier tape 24 is not 4 mm, the pitch Pt of the grooves 53 may be an integer multiple of 2 or more of the length of the pitch of the feed holes 54 of the carrier tape 24. In addition, the component removal position Pa of these pitches Pt is a position moved downstream from the second position Pn2 in the tape conveying path 60 by an amount equal to the pitch Pt of the grooves 53 of the carrier tape 24.
[0139] It should be noted that in the case of a carrier tape 24 in which the pitch Pt of the grooves 53 is any one of 8 mm, 12 mm, 16 mm, 20 mm and 24 mm, the width of the carrier tape 24 is relatively wide, so the component supply device 23 that can transport such a carrier tape 24 less frequently transports a carrier tape 24 in which the pitch Pt of the grooves 53 is 4 mm.
[0140] In the case of a carrier tape 24 in which the pitch Pt of the conveying grooves 53 is 4 mm, Fig.23 As shown, for the carrier tape 24 positioned at the second position Pn2, the grooves 53 containing the components 5 are completely exposed through the opening 23b, and the operator can visually observe the components 5. Therefore, there is a possibility that the components 5 will fall during the movement of the component supply device 23, so it is necessary to take other measures for the carrier tape 24 in which the pitch Pt of the grooves 53 is 4 mm. However, even in the case where the pitch Pt of the grooves 53 is 4 mm, the alignment with the second position Pn2 can be performed by the same method regardless of the length of the pitch Pt, so the carrier tape 24 can be set even without information on the pitch Pt.
[0141] Thus, the component take-out position Pa is the second position Pn2 when the pitch Pt is 4 mm, and is located at a position downstream of the tape conveying path 60 from the second position Pn2 when the pitch Pt is 8 mm or more. The component take-out position Pa differs depending on the pitch Pt of the plurality of grooves 53 formed in the carrier tape 24. In addition, the second position Pn2 is the same position regardless of the pitch Pt of the plurality of grooves 53 formed in the carrier tape 24.
[0142] Next, refer to Fig.24 A method of installing the carrier tape 24 of the component supply device 23 in the feeder operation device 300 will be described. Fig.24 1 is a flowchart showing the flow of setting the carrier tape 24 in the component supply device 23 .
[0143] In step S1, the operator inserts carrier tape 24 from tape inlet 23a of component supply device 23. The operator continues to feed carrier tape 24 into tape conveyance path 60 until front end portion 24a of carrier tape 24 abuts against the pin of third conveyance sprocket 61c.
[0144] When the operator feels the front end portion 24a of the carrier tape 24 abut against the pin of the third conveying sprocket 61c, in step S2, the operator presses the switch 33c of the operation panel 18. As a result, the tape conveying unit 61 is driven and the third conveying sprocket 61c starts to rotate.
[0145] When the third conveying sprocket 61c starts to rotate, in step S3, the pin of the third conveying sprocket 61c of the belt conveying part 61 engages with the feed hole 54 of the carrier belt 24, and the third conveying sprocket 61c conveys the carrier belt 24 to the downstream side along the belt conveying path 60 simultaneously with the rotation of the third conveying sprocket 61c.
[0146] Next, in step S4, the operator visually aligns the front end 24a of the carrier tape 24 so that the front end 24a of the carrier tape 24 is at the second position Pn2 of the stop position indicated by the mark 83. When the operator positions the front end 24a of the carrier tape 24 at the second position Pn2, the operator confirms whether the leading component 5 can be visually observed. When the leading component 5 can be confirmed, the setting of the carrier tape 24 of the component supply device 23 in the feeder operation device 300 is completed.
[0147] Next, refer to Fig.25 A method of picking up the component 5 in the component mounting device 1 will be described. Fig.25 This is a flowchart showing the flow of picking up components 5 from carrier tape 24 in component mounting device 1 .
[0148] The operator removes the component supply device 23 in which the front end portion 24 a of the carrier tape 24 is positioned at the second position Pn2 from the work table 302 of the feeder operation device 300 , and mounts it on the unit base 31 of the component mounting device 1 .
[0149] In step S31, the unit control unit 64 of the component supply device 23 mounted on the unit base 31 refers to the production program 111 stored in the management storage unit 94 of the management device 92, and obtains the pitch information of the grooves 53 of the carrier tape 24. It should be noted that the pitch information acquisition unit 43 of the main body control unit 17 may refer to the production program 111 stored in the management storage unit 94 of the management device 92, obtain the pitch information of the grooves 53 of the carrier tape 24, and send the obtained pitch information to the unit control unit 64.
[0150] In step S32, the unit control unit 64 of the component supply device 23 drives and controls the motor 61e based on the acquired pitch information. The motor 61e drives and rotates the second conveying sprocket 61b to deliver the carrier tape 24 corresponding to the length of one pitch Pt of the grooves 53 of the carrier tape 24 and positions it at the third position Pn3.
[0151] In step S33, the component mounting control unit 41 of the component mounting device 1 similarly refers to the production program 111 stored in the management storage unit 94 of the management device 92, and obtains the pitch information of the grooves 53 of the carrier tape 24. The component mounting control unit 41 sets the component removal position Pa as the position where the nozzle 13a picks up the component 5 based on the obtained pitch information.
[0152] In step S34 , the component placement control unit 41 drives and controls the head moving mechanism 14 , and the nozzle 13 a adsorbs and places the component 5 positioned at the component removal position Pa on the substrate 4 , thereby starting production of the substrate 4 .
[0153] In this way, the component supply device 23 of the present embodiment supplies the components 5 accommodated in the plurality of grooves 53 formed at a constant pitch Pt in the carrier tape 24. The component supply device 23 includes: a tape conveying section 61 that conveys the carrier tape 24 along the tape conveying path 60; a tape cover 81 that has an opening 23b for taking out the components 5 and presses a portion of the upper surface of the carrier tape 24; an operation panel 18 that operates and instructs the conveying amount of the carrier tape 24 conveyed by the tape conveying section 61; and an indicator 83 that indicates the second position Pn2 that is the stop position of the front end portion 24a of the carrier tape 24.
[0154] Even when the pitch information of the grooves of the carrier tape 24 cannot be obtained, the user can operate the operation panel 18 to instruct the conveyance amount of the carrier tape 24 so that the front end 24a of the carrier tape 24 stops at the position indicated by the mark 83, thereby positioning the carrier tape 24 at the second position Pn2 as the stop position. Therefore, the pitch Pt information of the grooves 53 of the carrier tape 24 is not required for positioning the carrier tape 24 at the second position Pn2, so that the work can be performed in an offline state on the workbench 302 that cannot communicate with the management device 92, thereby improving the workability.
[0155] Furthermore, at least a portion of the component 5 accommodated at the head of the groove 53 of the carrier tape 24 stopped at the second position Pn2 is covered by the tape cover 81. Thus, it is possible to reduce the component 5 from being scattered from the carrier tape 24 positioned at the second position Pn2.
[0156] In addition, the carrier tape 24 includes a base tape 51 having a groove 53 formed therein and a top tape 52 covering the component 5 accommodated in the groove 53. At the second position Pn2, the carrier tape 24 is in a state where the top tape 52 covering the component 5 accommodated in the groove 53 is peeled off, and at least a portion of the leading component 5 accommodated in the groove 53 is exposed through the opening 23b. Thus, when the front end portion 24a of the carrier tape 24 is located at the second position Pn2, the operator can visually check at least a portion of the leading component 5.
[0157] The present invention is fully described in association with the preferred embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings, but it is obvious to those skilled in the art that various deformations and modifications can be made. These deformations and modifications should be understood to be included in the present invention as long as they do not depart from the scope of the present invention based on the attached technical solutions. In addition, the combination of elements in each embodiment and the change of order can be realized without departing from the scope and idea of the present invention.
[0158] In the above embodiment, the second position Pn2 is located inside the opening 23b, but the present invention is not limited thereto and may be located further upstream than the upstream end of the opening 23b.
[0159] It should be noted that by appropriately combining any of the various embodiments and modifications, the effects possessed by each can be achieved.
