Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to the technical field of thermal management systems for new energy vehicles, and in particular to a heat pump type thermal management system and a thermal management method for a hybrid vehicle. Background Art
[0002] In the field of extended-range vehicle thermal management systems, there are some problems in existing technologies that need to be solved urgently.
[0003] For the extended-range vehicle thermal management system and control method disclosed in CN202410387472, its coolant circuit is provided with a six-way valve 16 and a three-way valve 17. Although a variety of heat dissipation and heat utilization modes are achieved to a certain extent, there are still obvious defects. The system does not adopt a heat pump heating method. When there is no waste heat from the engine, the heating of the battery and the passenger compartment depends entirely on the output of the electric heater 26, which has no energy-saving effect; the battery pack heating uses a water-to-water heat exchanger (heat exchanger 21) to absorb the heat of the heating circuit coolant, resulting in both heat exchange and temperature rise being limited; and there are many heat exchangers in the coolant circuit, which makes the overall cost higher. The hybrid vehicle heat pump type thermal management system and control method disclosed in CN202310957742 that cancels the outdoor heat exchanger (OHX) switches different coolant circuit states through the multi-way valve conduction mode, and the refrigerant circuit is also adjusted, and the radiator 401 can be reused as a heat release element and a heat absorption element, but there are also many shortcomings. The refrigerant circuit has many components and complex pipelines. Under the summer cooling condition, the water flow direction is the first radiator 35 → intercooler 25 → other components 31 → motor component 25 → first water-cooled heat exchanger 19 → radiator 35. After the coolant is heated in the intercooler 25, other components 31 and motor component 25, the heat exchange capacity in the first water-cooled heat exchanger 19 is limited. Under intense working conditions, the heat release of the refrigerant at the compressor exhaust port through the first water-cooled heat exchanger 19 is limited, which affects the vehicle cooling. The heat exchanger 50 has to be added to increase the cooling capacity in summer. Moreover, since the intercooler 25, other components 31, motor component 25 are connected in series with the first water-cooled heat exchanger 19, the heat exchange capacity cannot be allocated according to the heat load requirements of the two, resulting in a high degree of coupling and mutual restriction between the two. At the same time, the system cannot realize the recovery of engine waste heat to the battery pack for heating.
[0004] In summary, the shortcomings of the existing technology are mainly reflected in the following aspects: in the summer cooling condition, the electric drive system is connected in series with the water-cooled condenser, and the heat exchange cannot be allocated according to the cooling requirements of the electric drive system and the passenger compartment / battery pack, resulting in a high degree of coupling and mutual restriction between the two; when heating the battery pack, an additional heat exchange element is required as a heat absorption source (water-to-water heat exchanger or Chiller); the multi-way valves of the thermal management system for pure electric and hybrid vehicles are not on the same platform. These problems have seriously affected the performance, cost and applicability of the thermal management system of the extended-range vehicle, and a new technical solution is urgently needed to solve the above technical problems and improve the overall efficiency of the thermal management system of the extended-range vehicle. The thermal management system of the present invention includes a plurality of coolant circuits and refrigerant circuits working in coordination. Through a multi-way valve with at least nine interfaces, the connection or cutoff between the interfaces can be flexibly controlled to realize the circulation of multiple coolants, as well as the efficient heat exchange and thermal management control switching between the coolant circuit and the refrigerant circuit. Compared with the coupling problem caused by the series connection of the electric drive system and the water-cooled condenser and other components in the prior art, this multi-circuit design and precise control method enables the thermal management of each component to be independently controlled. For example, the electric drive circuit, the heat dissipation circuit, the battery circuit, etc. can be cooled, heated or temperature-controlled according to their own needs, avoiding the mutual restriction between the cooling or heating requirements of different components, and greatly improving the system operation efficiency. Each coolant circuit and refrigerant circuit component is reasonably configured, and each component can work efficiently in its own circuit. The electric drive assembly and two-in-one module in the electric drive circuit, the radiator and cooling fan in the heat dissipation circuit, the battery pack in the battery circuit, etc., can work together under different working conditions under the coordination of the multi-way valve. Through a variety of combined circuit thermal management methods, the system can meet the diverse needs of hybrid vehicles under different working conditions. The first combined circuit thermal management method can simultaneously realize the functions of cooling the electric drive assembly, cooling the coolant or deicing the radiator, dehumidifying or heating the passenger compartment; the second combined circuit thermal management method can achieve battery pack cooling or temperature control and heat exchange with the second heat exchanger. These combinations greatly improve the adaptability of the system to different working conditions. In view of the problem that the heating of the battery pack in the prior art requires additional heat exchange elements and there are problems with limited heat exchange and temperature rise, the present invention solves this problem through a unique circuit design. By using the combination of the battery circuit and other coolant circuits, such as the fifth and sixth combined circuit thermal management methods, the heating of the battery pack can be achieved without additional complex heat exchange elements. This design not only reduces the complexity and cost of the system, but also improves the thermal management effect of the battery pack. The single battery circuit thermal management method can control the uniform temperature of the battery pack to ensure that the battery operates in a stable temperature environment, which helps to extend the battery life and improve battery performance. The single-circuit refrigerant thermal management method allows the compressor and the first heat exchanger to be selectively connected to the second heat exchanger or the evaporator, and the combined circuit refrigerant thermal management method allows the compressor and the first heat exchanger to be connected to the second heat exchanger and the evaporator at the same time. This flexible control method can accurately adjust the flow direction of the refrigerant and the heat exchange components according to the actual heat load requirements, improve the heat exchange efficiency of the refrigerant circuit, and further optimize the performance of the entire thermal management system. When heating in winter, the present invention innovatively uses air source heat pumps and water source heat pump technology with motor waste heat recovery for heating the battery pack and the passenger compartment, which significantly reduces winter heating energy consumption, improves energy utilization efficiency, and reduces vehicle operating costs. In summer cooling conditions, the electric drive system coolant circuit and the water-cooled condenser coolant circuit are designed in parallel, which reduces the coupling between the two, can accurately adjust the cooling capacity according to actual needs, avoid energy waste, and improve the overall performance of the system. Compared with other heat pump systems in the industry, the present invention uses fewer control valves in the coolant and refrigerant circuits, which effectively simplifies the system structure. This not only reduces manufacturing costs, but also reduces system failure points, improves system reliability, and thus improves the market competitiveness of the product. [0070] The refrigerant on the exhaust side of the compressor 1 flows through the first heat exchanger 2 to release heat to the coolant and the liquid storage dryer 24 in sequence, and then enters the second heat exchanger 3 and the evaporator 13 after being throttled by the first electronic expansion valve 4 and the second electronic expansion valve 5 respectively. The air is taken in by the blower 14 to exchange heat with the evaporator and release heat, thus completing the refrigeration of the passenger compartment. The refrigerant flows to the following directions: Figure 3 The third electronic water pump 8 is running, the coolant flows through the battery pack 18, and exchanges heat with the refrigerant in the second heat exchanger 3. After the coolant releases heat and cools down, it enters the battery pack 18 through the third electronic water pump 8 to complete the cooling.
[0071] The first electronic water pump 6 is running, the first coolant one-way valve 10 is turned on, the exhaust gas of the compressor 1 exchanges heat with the coolant flowing through it in the first heat exchanger 2, and the coolant absorbs heat and flows through the port b to the port c of the coolant three-way valve 29, and then enters the water heater 30 (such as Figure 1 system) or directly into the warm air core 12 (such as Figure 2 system).
[0072] If the electric drive assembly 17 has a cooling demand, the second electronic water pump 7 will start, the second coolant one-way valve 11 will be turned on, and the coolant will flow through the two-in-one module 16 and the electric drive assembly 17, taking away the heat of both, and then flow through interface eight to interface seven of the multi-way valve 19 and merge with the coolant passing through the heater core 12 to enter the first radiator 15. Through the cooling fan 9 or the vehicle facing the wind and heat exchange with the outside air, the coolant releases heat and cools, and then flows into the second coolant one-way valve 11 and interface nine respectively. The coolant flowing through interface nine enters interface three to the first coolant one-way valve 10 to complete the cycle.
[0073] If there is no demand from the electric drive assembly 17, the second electronic water pump 7 stops, the second coolant one-way valve 11 is closed, and the coolant passes through the heater core 12 and enters the first radiator 15, and exchanges heat with the outside air through the cooling fan 9 or the vehicle facing the wind. After the coolant releases heat and cools, it flows into the interface nine of the multi-way valve 19, and then flows through the interface three to the first coolant one-way valve 10 to complete the cycle.
[0074] If the engine assembly 27 has a cooling demand, the large cycle is started, and the coolant enters the second radiator 28, exchanges heat with the outside air through the cooling fan 9 or the vehicle facing the wind, and the coolant releases heat and cools down before flowing into the engine assembly 27, completing the cycle.
[0075] If the engine assembly 27 has no demand, the large cycle is closed.

After the coolant releases heat and cools, it will flow into the second coolant one-way valve 11 and the interface nine of the multi-way valve 19 respectively, and then through the interface three to the first coolant one-way valve 10 to complete the cycle.
[0081] If there is no demand from the electric drive assembly 17, the second electronic water pump 7 stops, the second coolant one-way valve 11 is closed, and the coolant passes through the heater core 12 and enters the first radiator 15. The coolant exchanges heat with the outside air through the cooling fan 9 or the vehicle facing the wind, and the coolant releases heat and cools down.
