[0024] Figures 1 to 6 In each case, an exemplary embodiment of a generator module according to the invention for a vehicle is shown. The vehicle can be a hybrid vehicle.
[0025] The generator module includes a speed change mechanism 3-8, a motor 2 and a controller.
[0026] The transmission mechanism 3-8 has an input end and an output end. The input end can be connected to the power output shaft of the internal combustion engine 1 of the vehicle, such as a crankshaft. The output end is connected to the rotor of the motor 2 in a rotationally fixed manner. Here, the motor 2 can be operated as a generator. The controller is used to transmit the electric energy converted by the motor to the energy storage element of the vehicle, such as an on-board battery.
[0027] In some embodiments, the generator module further includes a vibration damper, the input end of the vibration damper can be connected to the power output shaft of the internal combustion engine 1 in a rotationally fixed manner, and the output end of the vibration damper is connected to the input end of the transmission mechanism in a rotationally fixed manner.
[0028] It should be noted that, within the scope of this article, the speed change mechanism and the shock absorber are described by taking the example that the internal combustion engine 1 provides torque and transmits the torque to the motor 2 used as a generator. Therefore, in this article, the terms "input" and "output" of torque relative to the speed change mechanism or the shock absorber are based on the torque transmission direction of the above example, for example, the end of the speed change mechanism 3-8 that receives torque from the internal combustion engine is called the input end, and the end of the speed change mechanism 3-8 that transmits torque to the motor 2 is called the output end. However, according to some embodiments within the scope of the present invention, the motor can also be operated as an electric motor at the same time, for example, for starting the internal combustion engine 1. Those skilled in the art will understand that at this time, the direction of torque transmission in the speed change mechanism is opposite to the above-mentioned torque transmission direction, and the terms "input end" and "output end" will be swapped accordingly.
[0029] Furthermore, within the scope of this document, the term "rotation-proof connection" refers to a connection that prevents two components from rotating relative to each other, thereby enabling the transmission of torque. For example, when two components are connected to each other in a rotation-proof manner or one component is mounted to another component in a rotation-proof manner, the two components can transmit torque and can rotate together. For example, a spline connection can achieve an anti-rotation connection. For another example, a fixed connection can also achieve an anti-rotation connection. Here, it is not limited whether the two components of the anti-rotation connection can move axially relative to each other along the axis of rotation.
[0030] In the present invention, a receiving space is formed on the radial inner side of the motor 2. Preferably, the motor 2 is configured as an inner rotor type motor. Here, a receiving space is formed on the radial inner side of the rotor of the motor 2. The speed change mechanism 3-8 is at least partially arranged radially inside the motor 2, that is, in a plane obtained by cutting the motor 2 along the rotation axis of the motor 2, the orthographic projection of the motor 2 and the orthographic projection of the speed change mechanism 3-8 at least partially overlap.
[0031] In this way, the radial inner space of the electric motor 2 can be fully utilized, and the generator module as a whole is compact in structure, especially in the axial direction, which is conducive to arrangement in an axially narrow space in a vehicle.
[0032] Here, it should be noted that, within the scope of this document, unless otherwise specified, the terms "axial", "radial" and "circumferential direction" all refer to the rotation axis of the rotor of the motor. Specifically, "axial" refers to the direction of the above-mentioned rotation axis or a direction parallel to the above-mentioned rotation axis. "Radial" refers to a direction perpendicular to the above-mentioned rotation axis and intersecting the above-mentioned rotation axis. "Circumferential direction" refers to a direction around the above-mentioned rotation axis.
[0033] The following describes an embodiment of the structure of the speed change mechanism and its arrangement in the generator module.
[0034] Figure 1 FIG. 2 shows a schematic diagram of a first embodiment of the present invention. Figure 1As shown, the speed change mechanism 3 includes a radially outer ring gear 31, a radially inner sun gear 32, a planet carrier 33 and a group of planetary gears 34. The ring gear 31 and the sun gear 32 are arranged coaxially. The ring gear 31 is connected to the power output shaft of the internal combustion engine 1 in a rotationally fixed manner. The sun gear 32 is connected to the rotor of the motor 2 in a rotationally fixed manner. The planet carrier 33 is fixedly arranged, for example, the planet carrier 33 is fixedly arranged relative to the housing of the generator module. Here, preferably, the speed change mechanism 3 includes at least two planetary gears 34. Preferably, at least two planetary gears 34 are evenly distributed in the circumferential direction. The planetary gears 34 are respectively mounted on the planet carrier 33 so as to be relatively rotatable and are respectively meshed with the ring gear 31 and the sun gear 32, that is, each planetary gear 34 is meshed with both the ring gear 31 and the sun gear 32. The speed change mechanism 3 is at least partially arranged radially inside the motor 2. Preferably, the teeth of the ring gear 31, the sun gear 32 and the planetary gear 34 meshing with each other are arranged radially inside the motor 2, that is, in the plane obtained by cutting the motor 2 along the rotation axis of the motor 2, the orthographic projections of the teeth of the ring gear 31, the sun gear 32 and the planetary gear 34 meshing with each other all fall within the range of the orthographic projection of the motor 2.
[0035] In this embodiment, the torque generated by the internal combustion engine 1 is input from the ring gear 31 to the speed change mechanism 3, then transmitted to the sun gear 32 through the planetary gear 34, and finally output from the sun gear 32 to the motor 2. The motor 2 thus converts kinetic energy into electrical energy and transmits the electrical energy to the battery with the help of the controller.
[0036] With the aid of the speed change mechanism 3 provided in this embodiment, the internal combustion engine 1 and the motor 2 used as a generator can simultaneously operate at their respective speeds in the high efficiency range, especially adapted to the situation where the speed of the generator is relatively small relative to the speed of the internal combustion engine in the high efficiency range. In addition, since the speed change mechanism 3 is at least partially arranged radially inside the motor 2 and is configured as a single-row gear set, the generator module has a compact structure, especially in the axial direction.
[0037] Figure 2 FIG. 2 shows a schematic diagram of a second embodiment of the present invention. Figure 2As shown, the speed change mechanism 4 includes a radially outer ring gear 41, a radially inner sun gear 42, a planet carrier 43 and a group of planetary gears 44. The ring gear 41 and the sun gear 42 are arranged coaxially. The planet carrier 43 is connected to the power output shaft of the internal combustion engine 1 in a rotationally fixed manner. The sun gear 42 is connected to the rotor of the motor 2 in a rotationally fixed manner. The ring gear 41 is fixedly arranged, for example, the ring gear 41 is fixedly arranged relative to the housing of the generator module. Preferably, the speed change mechanism 4 includes at least two planetary gears 44. Preferably, at least two planetary gears 44 are evenly distributed in the circumferential direction. The planetary gears 44 are respectively mounted on the planet carrier 43 so as to be relatively rotatable and are respectively meshed with the ring gear 41 and the sun gear 42, that is, each planetary gear 44 is meshed with both the ring gear 41 and the sun gear 42. Here, the speed change mechanism 4 is at least partially arranged radially inside the motor 2. Preferably, the teeth of the ring gear 41, the sun gear 42 and the planetary gear 44 meshing with each other are arranged radially inside the motor 2, that is, in the plane obtained by cutting the motor 2 along the rotation axis of the motor 2, the orthographic projections of the teeth of the ring gear 41, the sun gear 42 and the planetary gear 44 meshing with each other all fall within the range of the orthographic projection of the motor 2.
[0038] In this embodiment, the torque generated by the internal combustion engine 1 is input from the planetary carrier 43 to the speed change mechanism 4, then transmitted to the sun gear 42 through the planetary gear 44, and finally output from the sun gear 42 to the motor 2. The motor 2 thus converts kinetic energy into electrical energy and transmits the electrical energy to the battery with the help of the controller.
[0039] By means of the speed change mechanism 4 provided in this embodiment, the internal combustion engine 1 and the motor 2 used as a generator can be operated at their respective speeds in the high efficiency range at the same time, and are particularly adapted to the situation where the speed ratio of the generator speed to the internal combustion engine speed in the high efficiency range is relatively large, for example, larger than that in the first embodiment. In addition, since the speed change mechanism 4 is at least partially arranged radially inside the motor 2 and is configured as a single-row gear set, the generator module has a compact structure, especially in the axial direction.
[0040] Figure 3 FIG. 2 shows a schematic diagram of a third embodiment of the present invention. Figure 3As shown, the speed change mechanism 5 includes a first sun gear 54, a second sun gear 55, a planet carrier 51, a group of outer planetary gears 52 and a group of inner planetary gears 53. The second sun gear 55 is arranged coaxially with the first sun gear 54. The first sun gear 54 is used to be connected to the power output shaft of the internal combustion engine 1 in a rotationally fixed manner. The second sun gear 55 is connected to the rotor of the motor 2 in a rotationally fixed manner. The planet carrier 51 is fixedly arranged, for example, the planet carrier 51 is fixedly arranged relative to the housing of the generator module. Preferably, the speed change mechanism 5 includes at least two outer planetary gears 52. Preferably, at least two outer planetary gears 52 are evenly distributed in the circumferential direction. The outer planetary gears 52 are respectively mounted on the planet carrier 51 so as to be relatively rotatable and are respectively meshed with the first sun gear 54 on the radially outer side of the first sun gear 54. Preferably, the speed change mechanism 5 includes at least two inner planetary gears 53. Preferably, at least two inner planetary gears 53 are evenly distributed in the circumferential direction. The inner planetary gears 53 are respectively mounted on the planetary carrier 51 so as to be relatively rotatable and mesh with the outer planetary gears 52 and the second sun gear 55, respectively, that is, each inner planetary gear 53 meshes with both the outer planetary gear 52 and the second sun gear 55. Here, the speed change mechanism 5 is at least partially arranged radially inside the motor 2. Preferably, the teeth of the first sun gear 54, the second sun gear 55, the outer planetary gears 52 and the inner planetary gears 53 meshing with each other are arranged radially inside the motor 2, that is, in the plane obtained by cutting the motor 2 along the rotation axis of the motor 2, the orthographic projections of the teeth of the first sun gear 54, the second sun gear 55, the outer planetary gears 52 and the inner planetary gears 53 meshing with each other all fall within the range of the orthographic projection of the motor 2.
[0041] In this embodiment, the torque generated by the internal combustion engine 1 is input from the first sun gear 54 to the speed change mechanism 5, then transmitted to the inner planetary gear 53 through the outer planetary gear 54, then transmitted from the inner planetary gear 53 to the second sun gear 55, and finally output from the second sun gear 55 to the motor 2. The motor 2 thus converts kinetic energy into electrical energy and transmits the electrical energy to the battery with the help of the controller.
[0042] With the aid of the speed change mechanism 5 provided in this embodiment, the internal combustion engine 1 and the motor 2 used as a generator can be operated at their respective speeds in the high efficiency range at the same time. The planetary gear transmission mechanism used here particularly eliminates the ring gear with high manufacturing cost, thereby reducing the cost of the speed change mechanism 5. In addition, since the speed change mechanism 5 is at least partially arranged radially inside the motor 2, the generator module has a compact structure as a whole.
[0043] Figure 4 FIG. 4 is a schematic diagram showing a fourth embodiment of the present invention. Figure 4As shown, the speed change mechanism 6 includes: a first sun gear 64, a second sun gear 65, a planet carrier 61, and a group of planetary gears. The second sun gear 65 is arranged coaxially with the first sun gear 64. The first sun gear 64 is used to be connected to the power output shaft of the internal combustion engine 1 in a rotationally fixed manner. The second sun gear 65 is connected to the rotor of the motor 2 in a rotationally fixed manner. The planet carrier 61 is fixedly arranged, for example, the planet carrier 61 is fixedly arranged relative to the housing of the generator module. Preferably, the speed change mechanism 6 includes at least two planetary gears. Preferably, at least two planetary gears are evenly distributed in the circumferential direction. The planetary gears are respectively mounted on the planet carrier 61 so as to rotate relative to each other. The planetary gears respectively include a first tooth portion 62 and a second tooth portion 63, wherein the first tooth portion 62 is meshed with the first sun gear 64, and the second tooth portion 63 is meshed with the second sun gear 65. Here, the speed change mechanism 6 is at least partially arranged radially inside the motor 2. Preferably, the teeth of the first sun gear 64, the second sun gear 55 and the planetary gears meshing with each other are arranged radially inside the motor 2, that is, in the plane obtained by cutting the motor 2 along the rotation axis of the motor 2, the orthographic projections of the teeth of the first sun gear 64, the second sun gear 55 and the planetary gears meshing with each other all fall within the range of the orthographic projection of the motor 2.
[0044] In this embodiment, the torque generated by the internal combustion engine 1 is input from the first sun gear 64 to the speed change mechanism 6, then transmitted to the second sun gear 65 through the planetary gear, and finally output from the second sun gear 65 to the motor 2. The motor 2 thus converts kinetic energy into electrical energy and transmits the electrical energy to the battery with the help of the controller.
[0045] With the aid of the speed change mechanism 6 provided in this embodiment, the internal combustion engine 1 and the motor 2 used as a generator can simultaneously operate at their respective speeds in the high efficiency range. The planetary gear transmission mechanism used here provides a larger speed ratio range, thereby being able to adapt to more combinations of internal combustion engines and motors. In addition, since the speed change mechanism 6 is at least partially arranged radially inside the motor 2, the generator module has a compact structure as a whole.
[0046] Figure 5 FIG. 5 shows a schematic diagram of a fifth embodiment of the present invention. Figure 4As shown, the speed change mechanism 7 includes a first gear 71, a second gear 72, a third gear 73, a fourth gear 74 and an intermediate shaft 75. The first gear 71 is arranged coaxially with the second gear 72. The first gear 71 is used to be connected to the power output shaft of the internal combustion engine 1 in a rotationally fixed manner. The second gear 72 is connected to the rotor of the motor 2 in a rotationally fixed manner. The intermediate shaft 75 is supported in a rotatable manner, for example, the intermediate shaft 75 is supported on the housing of the generator module by means of a bearing. The third gear 73 is mounted on the intermediate shaft 75 in a rotationally fixed manner and meshes with the first gear 71. The fourth gear 74 is mounted on the intermediate shaft 75 in a rotationally fixed manner and meshes with the second gear 72. Here, the speed change mechanism 7 is at least partially arranged radially inside the motor 2. Preferably, the teeth of the first gear 71, the second gear 72, the third gear 73 and the fourth gear 74 meshing with each other are arranged radially inside the motor 2, that is, in the plane obtained by cutting the motor 2 along the rotation axis of the motor 2, the orthographic projections of the teeth of the first gear 71, the second gear 72, the third gear 73 and the fourth gear 74 meshing with each other all fall within the range of the orthographic projection of the motor 2.
[0047] In this embodiment, the torque generated by the internal combustion engine 1 is inputted into the speed change mechanism 7 through the first gear 71, then transmitted to the intermediate shaft 75 through the third gear 73, then transmitted to the second gear 72 through the fourth gear 74 on the intermediate shaft 75, and finally outputted to the motor 2 through the second gear 72. The motor 2 thus converts kinetic energy into electrical energy and transmits the electrical energy to the battery with the help of the controller.
[0048] With the aid of the speed change mechanism 7 provided in this embodiment, the internal combustion engine 1 and the motor 2 used as a generator can simultaneously operate at respective speeds in a high efficiency range. In addition, since the speed change mechanism 7 is at least partially arranged radially inside the motor 2 and has fewer parts, the generator module has a compact structure as a whole.
[0049] Figure 6 FIG. 4 is a schematic diagram showing a sixth embodiment of the present invention. Figure 6 As shown, the speed change mechanism 8 includes a ring gear 81 and a gear 82. The ring gear 81 can be connected to the power output shaft of the internal combustion engine 1 in a rotationally non-conforming manner. The gear 82 is connected to the rotor of the motor 2 in a rotationally non-conforming manner. The rotation axis of the gear 82 and the rotation axis of the ring gear 81 are arranged offset from each other. The gear 82 meshes with the ring gear 81 on the radial inner side of the ring gear 81. Here, the speed change mechanism 8 is at least partially arranged radially inside the motor 2. Preferably, the teeth of the ring gear 81 and the gear 82 meshing with each other are arranged radially inside the motor 2, that is, in the plane obtained by cutting the motor 2 along the rotation axis of the motor 2, the orthographic projections of the teeth of the ring gear 81 and the gear 82 meshing with each other all fall within the range of the orthographic projection of the motor 2.
[0050] In this embodiment, the torque generated by the internal combustion engine 1 is input from the ring gear 81 to the speed change mechanism 8, then transmitted to the gear 82, and finally output from the gear 82 to the motor 2. The motor 2 thus converts kinetic energy into electrical energy and transmits the electrical energy to the battery with the help of the controller.
[0051] With the aid of the speed change mechanism 8 provided in this embodiment, the internal combustion engine 1 and the motor 2 used as a generator can simultaneously operate at their respective speeds in the high efficiency range. In addition, since the speed change mechanism 8 is at least partially arranged radially inside the motor 2 and has fewer parts, the generator module has a compact structure as a whole.
