Abstract

A process for recovering polythiourethanes is described. For this purpose, the polythiourethane is depolymerized in the presence of a monofunctional thiol. The mercaptans are then removed from the obtained oligomer mixture by applying a negative pressure, thereby producing the polythiourethane again. The method allows a substantially complete recovery of the polythiourethane in a simple manner.
