In Comparative Example 1, the amount of carboxylic acid-modified polyvinyl alcohol added was relatively small, resulting in a slightly longer open time, lower adhesion, and slight wrinkling of the cigarette, preventing the machine speed from reaching the expected requirements. In Comparative Example 2, without carboxylic acid-modified polyvinyl alcohol, the open time was significantly longer, adhesion was lower, leading to severe wrinkling of the cigarette, a high air leakage rejection rate, and a total ventilation rate below the standard lower limit (27±8%), making normal winding impossible at a machine speed of 10,000. In Comparative Example 3, the absence of a thixotropic agent resulted in high-speed shearing... The viscosity of the cigarettes was significantly lower than expected, resulting in glue leakage and dripping at the nozzles. The splicing paper detached and accumulated at the corrugated board, causing machine shutdowns and preventing normal winding.
