Abstract

A device and method for constructing a function to regulate the width of tubular fabrics include a width measuring device, an adjuster, a warp tension controller, and a warp beam. The width measuring device measures the width of the tubular fabric. The adjuster calculates and outputs a target tension using a built-in tension-width function. The warp tension controller adjusts and measures the warp tension on the warp beam based on the received target tension. In application, the tubular fabric is woven while the width measuring device measures its width. The adjuster then obtains the target tension based on the target width, the fabric width itself, and the tension-width function. Finally, the warp tension controller adjusts the warp tension based on the target tension to achieve the target width of the tubular fabric. Therefore, this design enables the monitoring and adjustment of the fabric width during the weaving process.
